Transcribing embroidery is slow and my focus have been on Ukraine but for anyone curious, this site has been compiling cultural history from all over the world;
It's been hugely helpful to me looking for my own regions culture and also finding joy in many other cultures ideas & fashion
Recently they have also been compiling cultural fashion from different ukrainian regions!

Keep silence Let’s turn off the lights and keep silence About things that can't be put into words, Can't be ever writable, are impossible to act, Only to keep in silence, the thoughtful silence.
Let’s be silent about things that young girls Aren’t able to hide, Aren’t able to dream Let's be silent about you and me – Be silent, be silent till we both want to scream.
The moon has fallen down. There’s darkness in the room. So good it is that you've learned to be silent About things you couldn’t ever lie, About things I would never dare to ask.
We’ll be lying together in bed, Lying and dripping with water like snow. We'll be choking our tears greedily, And with them the words we can't say.
Let me just be silent right to your ear, The tea mug's gotten cold And we still have things to be silent about… And we still have things to lie down about…
As soon as the light breaks throughout our curtains, We'll talk again like everyone else does. And while it's still dark in our room Let’s just be …
Keep Silence (Movchaty), the Ukrainian band Skryabin, 2003 the photos were made by the Ukrainian photographer Konstantin Liberov (@libkos)

A closer look on the sleeves of this blouse I entirely embroidered by hand, and then sewn. The embroideries patterns are based on a vintage vyshyvanka blouse I saw on pinterest. I became obsessed with these colors and shapes, and spent 100+ hours embroidering all the sleeves. And now I just want to make another one 😂 because it was such a great experience!! On the photos I'm wearing the blouse with a traditional ukrainian vest.

💙💛Vyshyvanka Kozak 💙💛
Design inspired by Ukrainian embroidery “vyshyvanka”.
The pattern I created from these symbols reads "Kozak" in cyrillic letters and is arranged in a similar fashion as traditional Ukrainian embroidery.
❗ This design now on sale on Teepublic ❗
➡️More designs like this are available on Redbubble and Teepublic
❗ I’ll donate half of my artist shares of this design and all Ukrainian designs in my shops on Redbubble and Teepublic to help Ukrainian people!🕊️
