the scene in Saltburn where Sir James (Felix's dad) asks Oliver how much money he'll accept to leave Saltburn forever, except it's in an AU where Felix lives and instead Sir James asks Oliver how much he'll accept to never see or speak to his son again.

what if the university of what it is does the opposite of what ive been saying and reminds carlos that the people in nv (and cecil) don’t care to actually listen to Real Science
id imagine its really tiring to have to pretend ur dumb as bricks just so you can do your job behind closed doors — and to have your partner, assumably, not really know anything about what you actually do because it’s illegal and so he literally can’t know
imagine carlos actually spoke like a scientist again and cecil was frightened — and i say that because back before they were dating, and carlos was still new to the town, he could afford to say those things, and cecil would laugh and chalk it up to carlos being new to town.
but now he’s earned a place in town by playing by the rules, and more importantly, he has a family he can’t put in jeopardy for saying such things so cecil can’t just laugh it off and not acknowledge it, not like he used to anyways— which in turn places cecil in a unique position as well

thinking a lot right now how kabru’s fascination/obsession with humans makes him such a ruthless fighter against them in the same way that laios is so effective against monsters because he studies up on them endlessly

*I worship you Tumblr don’t remove it
Despite being an expert lock picker, Chilchuck looks down on theft, mainly due to he considers it an unsustainable income, but also because he dislikes how society views halflings and doesn’t want to feed into stereotypes.

So one thing Imma praise til I die is the sheer efficient storytelling of Dungeon Meshi
Just look at Mithrun
Immediately set up as the most important person in the room by being the only one not looking at the camera, mysterious covered face but always there, just barely off to the side
About one chapter of being incredibly badass and a fucking madlad
And then Ryoko Kui dumps a bucket of water on his head so you simply cannot mistake him as anything other than a sad wet cat of a man

no because they're seeing things they hate most about themselves in each other! ed sees his own roughness and ruthlessness in stede! and stede sees his own softness and cowardice in ed! and it's making them volatile!

man i'm barely halfway through episode 12 and i'm already sooooo annoyed because:
1) we get confirmation that namari's conversation with kiki and kaka is 100% cut out, with no intention of adding it in anywhere. hell even marcille's explanation of it feels a little rushed through
2a) other folks have pointed it out from the previews but marcille looks WAY more clean and stable resurrecting falin in the anime than in the manga. where is our unhinged haggard sorcerer moment???
2b) addendum to that point, i'm not a fan of how stylized the resurrection scene was drawn and how focused it was on the party's reactions. it felt too goofy and distracting. like this moment was THEE turning point for marcille's character in the story and they couldn't even give it the right gravitas
3) worse camera shots on the marcille and falin reunion/reaction compared to the manga. like man, you give us the baller through-the-skull view shot to end the last episode and then fumble on this???
with how great the dragon fight ended up being last ep, the dip in quality, care and the cuts chosen here feel like trigger's trying to rush through all of the "non-action" scenes to focus on their studio's comfort zone: flashy fight scenes. this is making me worry that trigger is just gonna completely prioritize fights at the expense of the story and characters. and if that is the case? i'm gonna be real fucking pissed
