Rising Impact Teaser

Nakaba Suzuki's golf manga Rising Impact is getting an anime adaptation. The two season series follows 3rd grader Gawain Nanaumi as he discovers golf, grows, and competes with his new golf rivals.

Rising Impact stars the voice talents of Misaki Kuno (Gawain Nanaumi), Yumiri Hanamori (Lancelot Norman), You Taichi (Kiria Nichino), Atsumi Tanezaki (Kurumi Nishino), Kaede Hondo (Yumiko Koizumi), Yuto Uemura (Liebel Ringvald), Yumi Uchiyama (Platalissa Bonaire), Eiji Takamoto (Wanglian Li), Shunsuke Takeuchi (Riser Hopkins), and Katsuyuki Konishi (Kai Todoin). Animage September Issue BSD Special Excerpt

Note: Uemura Yuto (Atsushi's VA) and Ono Kensho (Akutagawa's VA) each had separate interviews in the new issue of Animage magazine with the SSKK cover. I thought what they each said about the chars' relationship was interesting so I thought I would translate their respective answers. Please do not repost this anywhere, especially on Twitter, thank you~

Interviewer: Atsushi and Akutagawa’s joint move Beast Below Moonlight Rashōmon: Black Tiger’s Supreme Claw shaped up into quite the impactful visual (in the anime)

Uemura: I think that the bond of “trust” that Atsushi and Akutagawa have formed through their respect for one another, in spite of their mutual hatred, is a bond that has been built through the numerous crises they have overcome together. The fruits of these labors are seen in Beast Below Moonlight Rashōmon: Black Tiger’s Supreme Claw and so I entered the recording studio with this resolve in mind. When I acted out this scene, I could feel Atsushi and Akutagawa’s development even more strongly.

Interviewer: Atsushi, who survives thanks to Akutagawa, wonders “Why did Akutagawa let me escape?” What do you think about this?

Ono: At the end of the day I believe only Akutagawa has the right answer to this question, but for Akutagawa, Atsushi is a trial. If that trial goes away, doesn’t his reason for existing disappear? is what I thought.

Summary:
