The only thing that makes shipping a non-canon/non-endgame ship less painful is writing and reading fic

you said you only really like marbekah/rebel as a consolation prize for marcel basically so who do you like marcel and rebekah with instead?
I don't think I worded it like that but, yeah, sorta.
So the thing about the thing with Marcel is I am batshit and I liked him with Sofya and Aya, to be real. Him and Cami could've been good in theory. I was also open to him and Sophie getting back together (I don't wanna talk about it).
The thing about the thing with Rebekah is that all of her ships, within a canon lens, suck ass. They have potential outside of canon but as far as Jpec and the crew handled it, meh. But, out of the people she canonically showed interest in, my ranking would be: Damon, Stefan, Tyler, Nadia and Matt.
No hate to Matt (genuinely this time) or anything but with where they took his character, she would've gotten tired of him. Very quickly. Tyler is just my agenda for hot bitches being together. I think he'd be sick of her shit eventually, especially with her codependent ass relationship with her family.
I think it'd be funny if Katherine had to deal with Rebekah and Nadia fucking. Sorry.
Damon and Stefan are the more serious options, here. I enjoyed Stefan and Rebekah's hooking up and whatnot as well as their 20s fling and I think that they have a fondness for each other in present day. That being said, I don't think Stefan would have dated Rebekah in current day with his humanity fully intact. And also, I think he was more attracted to Klaus. I am not immune to unhealthy dynamics presented to me with bloodshed, sorry.
Damon and Rebekah is my final answer, I guess. I think they love in a similar way and have traits that complement each other. If Damon hadn't been in love with Elena by the time Rebekah had been introduced, I do think something could've came of that. Of course, they'd have to work through the whole Stefan issue, but I'm starting to think that's some kind of kink for the Salvatores, so it's whatever.
Final (serious) answers:
Marcel: Aya, Sofya, Sophie.
Rebekah: Damon, Stefan, Nadia.
Crack answers that have no basis in canon (to you. I know them personally): Rebekah and Enzo, Marcel and Jenna (I don't wanna talk about it!).

[unsent] Honestly, kid, you just kind of broke my heart.
[unsent] I know that it fucked you up that I was missing, but it fucked me up to be missing and I feel like that part is getting overlooked.
[unsent] I can’t sleep anymore. It’s making me feel insane.
[unsent] I’m mad at you but I still need you and I don’t feel like I can tell you that anymore.
[unsent] I’m fucking scared I won’t ever feel normal again.
[sent] Kid, let’s go eat. Fucking starving.
Tybekah
[unsent] Where the fuck are you Bekah? You’re scaring the shit out of me. You can’t just leave. You don’t get to fucking do that.
[unsent] I miss you so much that it hurts and it’s just not fair.
[unsent] I’m so glad that you’re back but we really need to talk about the new body. Is she in there?
[unsent] How do I get past this when it just doesn’t feel the same anymore?
[unsent] I just want to go back. Please take it all back.
[sent] Babe, come over. I wanna snuggle.

Distractions || Tybekah
Who: Tyler and Rebekah
What: Tyler and Rebekah meet up, and Rebekah teaches Tyler how to feed.
When: Saturday
Where: Mystic Falls
Tyler Tyler couldn't stop thinking about Caroline being pregnant. How could this happen? He was supposed to be Caroline's and Caroline was supposed to be his. Another thing he couldn't stop thinking about was Bonnie. He needed to clear his thoughts. Maybe he should just go away again. No one would notice. Tyler heard some footsteps and walked to where they were coming from. "Hey." He called when he saw the back of a blonde's head.
Rebekah Rebekah whipped around and raised her brows, wiping the blood from the bottom of her lip with a finger and slipping it in her mouth. "Tyler," she said, slightly surprised. "I thought we were hanging out later..."
Tyler "We can now if you want to.." He smiled, walking closer to her.
Rebekah She raised her brows. "Well, I suppose now isn't an awful time." She shrugged, looking him over. "How have you been eating?"
Tyler "Blood bags..." He looked down. "I'm not really comfortable with anything though."
Rebekah "You're joking. That's all they're allowing you to have?" She looked around. "You know, I could always help you out with your...skills."
Tyler "I just don't like drinking blood."
Rebekah "Have you never had it from a vein?" Rebekah asked curiously.
Tyler "No." He cleared his throat.
Rebekah She smirked. "Well, how interesting..." she said, circling him like a science fair project. "Let's get to work." Her eyes locked onto a diner. "Who looks tasty?" She asked, gesturing to the diner.
Tyler "Rebekah... This isn't right."
Rebekah She sighed and turned to Tyler. "Darling," she said, putting a hand on her shoulder. "It's not killing. There's a method. Snatch. Eat. Erase."
Tyler He sighed. "Okay... One time."
Rebekah "Alright. What's your poison? The strapping young waiter on break or the dainty brunette?" She asked, giving him a choice.
Tyler "The waiter..."
Rebekah "Perfect. Now," she turned to him. "Snatch. You have to compel him to meet you in that pretty, little, dark alley." She pointed to where the alley was. "I'll wait for you there with your next instructions." Before she left, she leaned in to whisper in his ear. "Good luck."
Tyler Tyler walked slowly over to the waiter and looked behind him, nervously. He compeled him to go to the alley, and walked away. "I don't feel right, Rebekah..."
Rebekah Rebekah shook her head and put her hands on Tyler's shoulder. "You're fine. He's not going to remember it. You're just taking what you need to survive. If he suddenly got a cut, and you'd never fed from a vein, you'd be taking his life, not a few moments of his time."
Tyler "Okay... I can do this." He nodded, watching the waiter arrive.
Rebekah "Make sure you compel him not to make a sound or try to run." Rebekah added, moving back to the darkness to give the appearance of Tyler being alone.
Tyler Tyler compelled him. "I'm sorry..." He said as he bit into the waiter's neck. After a minute, he pulled back. "Forget everything that just happened and go back to work."
Rebekah Rebekah sped over to the waiter and looked him in the eyes. "Clean yourself up." She moved out of his way and looked to Tyler. "Well done." She said, clapping for him.
Tyler "Thank you..."
Rebekah "How do you feel?" She asked curiously, stepping closer as she looked him over.
Tyler "Good." He nodded.
Rebekah "How about we try something a little different?" She offered.
Tyler "What?" He raised his brow
Rebekah "Drink from me," she said, slipping off the jacket she was wearing and holding out her wrist.
Tyler "What?" He frowned.
Rebekah "Vampire blood tastes differently, and there's no hesitation needed because I can guarantee you won't kill me," she shrugged. "You may even like it more."
Tyler Tyler took her wrist, and bit into it.
Rebekah Rebekah smirked, licking her lips and waiting for him to finish with raised brows.
Tyler "Yeah... That was... nice." He nodded..
Rebekah Rebekah noticed blood on the side of his mouth and stepped closer, leaning in closely and tasting it before leaning in and kissing him.
Tyler Tyler's eye closed and he kissed her. She was a good kisser. This was a nice distraction.
Rebekah Rebekah moved closer and put a hand on the side of his face. Their was a taste of blood still on his lips, and it made the kiss that much sweeter.
Tyler Tyler was the one to pull back. "What was that?"
Rebekah Rebekah pulled out her lip gloss and smirked as she re-applied it. "You had a bit of blood," she said. "Right here." Taking her thumb, she grazed his bottom lip with it. "I hate waste."
Tyler "Oh..."
Rebekah Putting her jacket back on, she gave him a smile. "That, and I've always wanted to do that."
Tyler "Do what?" He smiled.
Rebekah "Kiss you," she shrugged.
Tyler "Really?" He grinned.
Rebekah "Of course," she said, moving towards him. "Who wouldn't want a taste of Mystic Falls most handsome werewolf?" She commented, running the tips of her fingers down his arm. "It'd be the pull of danger if you could hurt me."
Tyler "Aren't you dating Puckerman?"
Rebekah She looked up from tracing his arm and nodded. "Yes, and he's spending his weekend with Katherine Pierce."
Tyler "Doing what?"
Rebekah She scoffed. "What do you think?"
Tyler "I don't know." He frowned.
Rebekah "Hooking up in some fashion is the most likely answer to that question."
Tyler "Oh... Are you okay with that?"
Rebekah "Well, considering he's my boyfriend, of course not. I figure I can snap her neck and stake her later," she said, eying the ground. "It's just not surprising, or there might be more anger."
Tyler "Why isn't it surprising?"
Rebekah "Because the boys I date are always like this. I expect nothing more," Rebekah scoffed. "I'll kill her, and I'll kill him." She said firmly, though the feeling behind it wasn't very strong.
Tyler "You'll find someone... Don't kill him..."
Rebekah "I don't want anyone," Rebekah snapped. "Men are all the same."
Tyler "God, calm down. Maybe if you had a better attitude guys would like you." He snapped back.
Rebekah "Maybe if men weren't such bastards, I would have a better attitude!"
Tyler "Some aren't!"
Rebekah Rebekah didn't respond, instead she just took a deep breath. "I never imagined I'd be having this conversation with you."
Tyler "I never imagined I'd be having any conversation with you." He shrugged/
Rebekah "You understand why I don't trust people, right?" She asked him. "Because they don't even know me, but they think they do. You and I haven't really spoken, but you think you know everything about me."
Tyler "Don't say all men are the same then. Give them a chance."
Rebekah "I've been alive for a thousand years. Let's not say I haven't given them a chance." She sighed. "I just have the worst luck."
Tyler "You can change that."
Rebekah She turned to him. "How?"
Tyler "I don't know." He shrugged. "Ask someone else how. I feel that Caroline is my one and only love. That might change. I'm gonna look until I find someone though."
Rebekah "I don't need anyone," Rebekah lied. "You're fooling yourself with that Caroline nonsense, by the way. She's pregnant. She's not going anywhere. Can you honestly tell me you'd be able to look at her child with a smile on your face knowing that it wasn't yours?"
Tyler Tyler's jaw tightened when Rebekah mentioned the baby. "I can't answer that."
Rebekah "You know it's true," Rebekah shrugged. "It's not yours, and she's not yours. Move on."
Tyler "She was mine first." He looked down.
Rebekah "Well, Stefan was mine first, and you don't see me pining over him." She crossed her arms. "Especially considering he still loved me, but my damn brother got in the way...again!"
Tyler "You don't think Caroline loves me anymore?"
Rebekah Rebekah looked over. "I think she loves you, but it's not the way she used to."
Tyler "I came back for her...." He sighed.
Rebekah "Well, you're still here, and the universe knows you aren't going to end up together. Maybe there's another reason."
Tyler "I hope so."
Rebekah "What do you think it is?"
Tyler "I don't know. Maybe its you." He joked.
Rebekah "Did my kiss sway you that much?" She winked.
Tyler "Oh yeah." He laughed.
Rebekah "Well, if I do happen to be your one and only, be sure to let me know." Rebekah said. "After all, apparently I go for all the wrong men."
Tyler Tyler nodded. "Will do."
Rebekah "So which do you prefer? Snatch, eat, and erase or vampire on vampire?"
Tyler "Vampire on vampire." He nodded.
Rebekah Rebekah smirked. "Then it's settled. You can come to my place if you feel like grabbing a bite. Just make sure to call first, and we'll set something up."
Tyler "Thank you." He smiled.
Rebekah "Of course. It's what I do to help out friends," she shrugged, looking him over. "Especially when they've got the body of a werewolf."
Tyler Tyler smirked. "I work out."
Rebekah "I noticed," Rebekah nodded appreciatively. "As do I."
Tyler "I can see that."
Rebekah "So was it all you wanted and more?" Rebekah asked, her hands on her hips.
Tyler "I guess so..."
Rebekah "Good." She checked the time. "I'm starving. To balance your diet, you'll need more than blood. Food works as your equilibrium. We should get to-go." She gestured to the diner.
Tyler "Okay." He grinned.
Rebekah Walking from outside of the alley, the two walked into the diner being greeted by the same waiter Tyler had snacked on earlier.
Tyler Tyler looked down. Well this was awkward.
Rebekah Rebekah looked from Tyler to the waiter and rolled her eyes. "Come on," she said, gesturing to the booth the waiter was leading them to.
Tyler Tyler walked with Rebekah to the table.
Rebekah "You need to lighten up. I have a solution. Alcohol." She smirked and turned to the waiter here. "We're going to need a bottle of your strongest Scotch." She said, eyes dilating.
Tyler "Why is everyone's solution alcohol in this town?" He shrugged. "It does kind of help though."
Rebekah "Alcohol or ripping out the throats of everyone in this diner. It helps the cravings."
Tyler "Alcohol." He nodded. "Definitely alcohol."
Rebekah "You do know you're allowed to look at our waiter, correct?" Rebekah raised a brow as she perused the menu.
Tyler "I don't want to. I tried to eat him..." He looked at the menu.
Rebekah "You didn't try to eat him. You made him forget that he helped you to survive another day without murdering all of your friends." She shrugged.
Tyler "You make it sound so right..." He groaned.
Rebekah "Because it is. You don't feel so bad about a lion killing a zebra because he's just getting dinner. It's the same thing, but they stay alive."
Tyler "Yeah yeah..." He sighed.
Rebekah When the waiter returned, he set down the bottle the blonde vampire had asked for. Rebekah smirked at him and gave a hint of flirting as she ordered before turning to Tyler with raised brows.
Tyler "I'll take a burger." He mumbled.
Rebekah The waiter nodded and left. Rebekah turned to Tyler and poured her first drink. "Stop being so awkward."
Tyler "I'm sorry!"
Rebekah "You're making him uncomfortable."
Tyler "He should be uncomfortable."
Rebekah "No, he shouldn't be. He doesn't have any recollection of what you did. All he knows is you're avoiding eye contact, and you look like you just robbed a bank." She bit her lip. "A blood bank."
Tyler Tyler laughed a little. "I'll try to lighten up a bit."
Rebekah "Good. Let's drink." She knocked back her first glass quickly. "I usually save the incredibly cheesy jokes for Kol."
Tyler "I'm glad you said that." He laughed.
Rebekah "Well, I'm quite hilarious," Rebekah nodded.
Tyler "You are." He grinned.
Rebekah "I'm even funnier drunk," she said, knocking back another glass. "God. I needed this."
Tyler "Drink up then." He winked.
Rebekah "I won't say no to that," she said, filling her glass up.
Tyler Tyler grinned at her and took a drink.
Rebekah "I feel like I haven't had Scotch in forever. My brother has hidden his stash, and I like to avoid Damon Salvatore so the boarding house is a no." She huffed.
Tyler "I'm pretty sure everyone likes to avoid Damon."
Rebekah Rebekah grimaced. "I have my own reasons."
Tyler "What's that?"
Rebekah She watched him for a moment before drinking her glass and sighing. "I've slept with him a few times, and it's never ended well."
Tyler "Oh..." He nodded. "I'm... sorry."
Rebekah "It's fine," she said. "It never ends well." She sighed. "You know what? I've made an executive decision. No more men. I give up on men."
Tyler "Are you going to be a lesbian now?"
Rebekah She narrowed her eyes at Tyler. "I'll use men strictly for sexual purposes...considering my boyfriend has the same idea with women."
Tyler "Sounds good to me." He shrugged.
Rebekah "Me as well." She said, drinking. She moved the bottle when the food arrived but paid no attention to it.
Tyler "This looks good." He commented, taking a bite.
Rebekah "This looks better." She said, the alcohol's effects slowly taking a toll on her and bringing up every moment in her past involving men.
Tyler "You think?" He smiled.
Rebekah She nodded, looking him over. "You know, Matt will never forgive you if you sleep with the witch."
Tyler Tyler's smile fell. "Yeah, I know..."
Rebekah "So don't," she shrugged.
Tyler "I'm trying my best not to." He laughed.
Rebekah "Try harder. Find a distraction," she said.
Tyler "Will you be my distraction?" He asked.
Rebekah She raised a brow. "Alright. In what way?"
Tyler "I kinda liked kissing you."
Rebekah "Kind of? I think it was a bit more than that," she smirked.
Tyler "Okay. Just a bit more."
Rebekah "So sexual," she said bluntly, drinking from her glass.
Tyler "Yeah." He nodded.
Rebekah "We can make that happen..." She said. "You obviously can't tell anyone. Especially Puck."
Tyler "I won't tell a soul." He smirked.
Rebekah "Good." She said, setting her glass down before standing up, her plate completely full. She dropped a couple of bills on the table. "Let's go. This diner is boring me."
Tyler "I'm not finished with my burger."
Rebekah "Take it."
Tyler "Okay." He grabbed the burger and bit into it, walking with her.
Rebekah "I need air," she said, words slightly slurring due to the alcohol she'd downed in the last ten minutes.
Tyler "You okay?" He frowned.
Rebekah "Just intoxicated. It'll pass."
Tyler "Do you need help?"
Rebekah "Help with what? Drinking?"
Tyler "Walking maybe?"
Rebekah "If you want," Rebekah said, holding out her arms so that she was now in the shape of a 't'.
Tyler Tyler scooped her up, and smiled at her.
Rebekah Rebekah smiled back. "You're such a gentleman."
Tyler "I know." He winked.
Rebekah Rebekah leaned forward and pushed her lips to his.
Tyler Tyler kissed her softly.
Rebekah Leaning her forehead against his, she said. "I think I like you as a distraction."
Tyler "Good." He smiled.
Rebekah "Let's go to my place. My brothers are all out."
Tyler "Are you sure about this?"
Rebekah Rebekah sighed and leaned in to kiss him again, her hand on the back of his head. When she pulled away, she raised her brows. "Positive."
Tyler "Okay. Let's go then."
