Bellumbeck is such an interesting final boss, because not only is it your ally, some of the bosses actions/details make it clear that Linebeck is fighting back. Retraining Ciela instead of killing her, using moves he's seen Link do, and more darkly in the manga - willing to destroy himself if it protects Link. Link is forced to fight not just an ancient evil - but one of the closest friends he's ever made besides Tetra, and one of the few adult figures he respects. To fight Linebeck is to potientially lose another mentor as was with The King of Red Lions
Bellumbeck is so… he really stands out from pretty much all of the other final bosses and its so cool- and it’s like you say, Bellumbeck is not just some final form of varying flavors of Evil Thing or a dangerous character whose defeat the world would benefit from, that’s your fucking friend. It doesn't feel heroic like other final bosses, it feels like a desperate fight for the survival of you and your friends.
Linebeck being capable of fighting back or otherwise resisting Bellum is an interesting one; definitely a fun way to give him some sort of agency or role to play, suggesting that he may be fighting against Bellum just as hard as Link is. I think I've seen some people suggest that the slight hesitation or pause before some of Bellumbeck's attacks may be caused by Linebeck trying to stop himself (like the manga shows him doing).
I absolutely ADORE the idea that Bellumbeck uses a spin attack because it's something that Linebeck has seen Link do. The idea that it might be unconscious, or something Bellum just happened to pick up on from Linebeck's memories... UGH it's good no matter how you justify it.
On the other hand, I personally don't see how Linebeck fighting back would've had an effect on Bellum restraining rather than killing Ciela. I understand stuff like a hitch in the attacks or unconsciously influencing what attacks are made, since all of that is stuff that Linebeck has a direct (though unwilling) hand in, but Bellum grabbing Ciela is something that... Bellum individually does. I don't imagine that Linebeck would be able to have any ability to influence what Bellum himself does, especially considering that even if he can affect the part he's directly involved in it's only ever a small effect. Bellum restraining rather than killing Ciela is, I think, a deliberate choice on Bellum's part without any input from Linebeck, and honestly even that way it's still interesting to think about.
The manga's take on events is interesting, especially with the idea that, to some degree, Linebeck was able to overpower Bellum in order to move how he wanted (even though it was clearly limited to only specific parts and with clear difficulty) and the idea that he'd do... well, anything he can to ensure Link's safety is pretty good.
The general concept of a Link having to fight a possessed person isn't really new and wasn't new when Phantom Hourglass rolled around, but I honestly think ph did it best, holy shit. Link having to fight a close friend and someone in a role akin to a mentor to him is already one hell of a devastating setup, but one extra thing I've seen others point out is that the Bellumbeck fight is the second time Link's be faced with a sword fight with another human, and he ended the first one by killing his opponent. So, that's a fun correlation for Link to make during this fight!
Bellumbeck is just... it's such a cool, unique battle even compared to the other final bosses, and while it may fall short in difficulty or gameplay, it has some fantastic music and all of the story and character surrounding it is honestly amazing.

Theories on Cyn and the Solver?
I'm a firm "Cyn is actually possessed fully by the absolute solver" believer.
But I do think she's simply far too gone to get back
Perhaps embracing the goal of pure destruction
Though it's not exactly very clear on whether the solver wants total destruction or just biological life wiped from the universe.
Now it could be entirely possible that there are multiple solver programs with different motives if I'm being honest. it could be a cool concept!
Cyn wise..I do think there's some part of her that genuinely cared for Tessa and N back in the manor (perhaps V and J too) before her mistreatment and solvers manipulation pulled her too far
For the rest of the drones, like Uzi
I believe it's implied that if solver is dormant in a drone it activates during a traumatic moment that scrambles their CPU
Such as Uzi getting stabbed by N's wing and getting left to die or when Doll witnessed her parents die
They must have an incredibly strong motive as well?
Anyway I believe solvers true abilities are only truly awakened if a drone tries oil, which they'll start craving after it's first start up.
Every drone probably has a different solver appearance. Usually with wings and a tail
Though some don't go full zombie drone mode.
I believe at first, solver will protect it's host and make their wants more apparent. Stopping at nothing to get their host what they want
If they start using the solver more. It gives the program/administrator better opportunity to possess said drone. When they're worn out from using solver so much.
But who knows this could just be crazed rambling!

Opinion on kittails?
gonna be 100% honest: i’m not a fan of it
i can understand the appeal but it’s not really my thing, especially after idw 67 where it’s shown that kit is still laser focused on killing tails
i don’t think those two could even be friends, ngl (they probably will end up being somewhat friendly to each other tho, it is a sonic comic)
if we’re looking at it through a lens of how the characters canonically are, it’s someone suffering with extreme imposter syndrome dating the person who is causing him to feel like an imposter. when surge says that she can’t live while sonic is still alive, i’m assuming kit feels the same way towards tails so uh-
i’m not saying “you can’t ship this it’s bad!!!”. again, i understand the appeal, just not my cup of tea

…mayhaps an avian Bdubs for the ask game?
you know i started this last night, slept on it, woke up, drew some more, went back to bed, and then finished it today. And all the while i was thinking of the moss-esque hoodie i got in Colorado that would be great for a bdubs cosplay.
anyway here's A(vian)dubs
i opted for a more doodle esque page, got silly halfway through it, and then realized that avian bdubs is a homestuck reference (thats what the one above the dirpy bird is referencing. this is because a fluffy haired time-motif-having bird guy with big black eyes (sunglasses look like eyes) is just dave strider).
i was stuck between a fancy kingfisher esque bird or the plover who looks like moss for his design, so i cut the diference down the middle went with mixing attributes.

we don't actually see toki driving cause when it was his turn during the class he broke down

first impression: tbh... didn't super pay attention to him back in 2018 since prim just caught my eye more but i've learned
impression now: his story is really solid, i like the sneaky character detail that the game never tells you his talent is bolster defense because he doesn't know what he fights for yet.
favorite moment: ch4 reunion and remarriage sweep
idea for a story: my idea for ot2 has always been that the ot1 travelers are the ones that give the ot2 protags their EX skills at the shrines after conducting a trial for their successor, so i'd def love to write olberic's with hikari sometime.
unpopular opinion: N/A, i think my only thing is in terms of gameplay? i never ran warmaster olberic, only warmaster therion or h'aanit.
favorite relationship: erhardt, tressa, and alfyn. erhardt for obvious reasons and tressa and alfyn since i enjoy their banters a lot.

🔬 — scientific pursuits
I'd say Mel and Ayami are pretty good at the whole science thing, especially when they act as each others rubber ducks. Not only are they currently co-writing a scientific thesis on Dynamis, they're also pushing the boundaries of their respective fields of study (Applied Aetheric Manipulation for Ayami and Modern Magitek Development for Mel).
Crescent doesn't understand any of that crap, it just flies over their head.

This city's hidin' them all over the place, if ya know where to look. Some of these are used around town by different 'mon for different reasons. Heard some's been here longer than anybody remembers. Every so often, new spots get carved out for the new buildings here.
That said... Kinda a miracle all that was there, that spot's reserved by a faction. All I need's somethin' else I couldn't fit in."
Neo-Ka would finally come back to the old store, planning to get anyone else up if they hadn't awoken just yet.

yo im like a month late to your post, but how did your vamp hunter finn lose his arm?
