hmmm.... probably kate!

again, a lot of these characters werent intentionally rewrites, i was just (as you said) using them in a wider story/world building narrative and adjusted their stories to fit into it. and as the story changed, so did the characters

originally, kate was going to be entirely a side character... almost comic relief, or just there to show how bad the proxy-hole could get. i was going to have her strictly behave like she does in game. not really a character, just an example/proxy filler. at the time, i was almost solely focusing on characters that gave me intense nostalgia since thats what brought me back to the fandom...

but now she's important to the AU and has an actual story to tell, especially combined with toby. has a whole arc, friendships, eventual job(TWO OF THEM), she's the strongest proxy, really close to toby who was always sort of the unofficial main character, intense drama with the other proxies, did more with the areas she patrols, she has a major role in the zalgoid arc, etc etc. . . plus i had to differentiate the proxy mode vs her normal behavior cuz of it. then when tomb introduced ninakate to me i got all excited about that ... romance always opens a new door to me... LOLLLL fave genre is romcoms

i've been thinking about this all day, but i'm going to take the easy way out and go with the episode i most recently watched - season 9, episode 15 "the fresh princ-ipal". i'm not usually a fan of frond-heavy episodes, but this one has soooo many other things going for it that i can overlook the frond-ness of it all 😭 also, we as a fandom don't talk about tina's "sensual reggae dance hour" enough??? look at her!!! she's so happy!!! 💃🏻

i realized that i actually havent thought very in depth about parallels and themes in the bible in a LONG time but let me think...

one that jumped to the forefront of my mind is something that idk if its a theme/parallel or not, but it has to do with moses. in the torah (really in the talmud i think which is a bunch of rabbi's headcanons about the torah that were then accepted as canon later on), when moses was taken in by pharaoh a test was performed to see whether moses would overthrow him, and by extension whether he was safe to keep and raise. that test was to show baby moses two pots: one of gold and riches and one of hot coals, and whichever he grabbed would be indicative as to what kind of son he'd be. so obviously, being a baby, moses starts to go for the shiny stuff. but (so the story goes) since moses has plot armor an angel (of death [?]) reached out and moved his hand to the hot coals. this is important because not only did it secure his safety to grow up under pharaoh's watch, but it burned his hand, which he then put in his mouth which permanantly burned his tongue and gave him a lisp. now the lisp isnt really talked about much more until later on, and its kind of minor so i get why its often left out, but it changes the whole feeling of the story! because of the lisp, moses gets nervous to speak in front of pharaoh's mages, and so it's aaron who does the talking when they turn their staffs into snakes. it's aaron (iirc) who speaks to the hebrews and tells them the word of god. moses is the one who speaks directly to god and does his bidding in the stories, but aaron is the one who conveys the information. and AND i just remembered this continues!! it continues to be true that moses doesnt always tell his own story!! in the scientific world it is generally accepted that there are a few different authors/compilers of the torah, but in judaism there is one main accepted truth of how it was written with two endings: moses wrote the whole thing up until the last chapter when he was on mount sinai, writing down word for word what god told him to. the ending, though, changes because at the end of the bible moses dies there is a debate over whether moses wrote his own death before it happened (since god is omnipresent blah blah blah) or whether joshua took over for him after he died. if the latter is true, that would be the second time someone tells moses' story for him!! first aaron tells the mages and the hebrews who moses is and why he was sent to save them, and then joshua tells the story of his death and his exile from the holy land! there are THEMES and MOTIFS i can SEE THEM

Ok first here’s the canon info from the wiki and his like life story or whatever:

Kiloton was one of Megatron’s earliest recruits. According to the wiki he also had a gun alt mode like Megatron and the wiki also pointed out how Kiloton and Megatron are similar in name as Megatron sounds like Megaton and so on. Not much is known about him through the wiki but basically in the Japanese g2 family, when Megatron was fatally injured, Kiloton learned of this and raced back to Cybertron and nursed Megatron back to health. After this, Optimus and Megatron formed a truce and ended the war. Pretender Starscream didn’t like that shit and did NOT like Kiloton. He told Kiloton it was safe to visit earth (keep in mind there was a Cybertron/earth alliance but since it’s so soon the humans are still on edge). When Kiloton showed up without reason nor warning and it scared the human military and they killed him on sight. When Megatron found him, he was furious and restarted the war once more as he wanted to destroy earth now while Optimus obviously didn’t.

Songwriting, persona, band mates, and fame for Mr. Sergio Infamous 🎸

Songwriting: What’s their process? Is it different than it was when they used to write songs with Seven?

Sergio is more of a instrumentalist when it comes to starting his songwriting process nowadays. He starts with a few chords to set the mood he's feeling, hums along to try and find a melody before he starts working on the lyrics.

In the past with Seven he found writing lyrics a lot easier. Afterall, it was writing with Seven and he felt comfortable enough to be earnest in expressing himself. There was something special and intimate in being able to create so freely, so in sync in the process with him and now it's like a part of him is missing. Anymore now after the break-up Sergio finds his confidence slipping. Not only when it comes to writing his music and creativity but in his personal life, too.

Inspiration mostly comes to him now when he feels overwhelmed putting on a brave face for everyone else. Even sometimes with himself. Thanks Seven.

Persona: How does their day-to-day personality compare to their on-stage persona?

Sergio is known for being very outgoing and sweet, even since high school. Always warm and easycompany to be around, knows how to cheer someone up when they need it, a great friend, etc. He gets on with all kinds of people tbh, so he's a bit popular in that regard. On stage he's still himself tbh and the fangirlies love to hype the mans up as some dreamy sweetheart. lol

Seven thinks the sweetheart thing is a whole fake persona/act and Sergio can shove it--

Bandmates: How do they feel about the members of the band? Would they still be interested in stardom if they weren’t with that group?

NO. He wouldn't even care for stardom without them and tbh to him it's always just been about the music than the fame. But he recognizes the band is still something special and it has the opportunity to grow into something real and big and he's not gonna rob his bandmates of that. He wants to win BOTB for them.

And he wuvs them all <3 they are his best frans!!

Fame: Do you think your character will enjoy fame? Do they think they will? What elements do you think they might struggle with? Do you think they’ll be happy at the end of this road?

He really enjoys the authenticity of being able to interact with his fans, seeing them enjoy the band's music and what they create but the pressure from the contractual and business aspect to all of this rattles him a bit. I think with time he could find some happiness in the fame... but is really his happiness or just other people's masking as his own? :)
