🗺, 🫂, ❤️‍🔥, 🔢, 🃏 and 🧨
Hey Waru! Thank you sm for this ask <33 I appreciate it.
🗺 favorite circuit?
I have a couple, but the ones I always enjoy watching races on the most are probably Mugello (everyone loves Mugello), Twin Ring Motegi, and provably Jerez. I love these circuits so so much, I’m ngl. I love that they have to go under like a lil bridge or whatever at Motegi, and I love the whole atmosphere at Jerez.
I’ll say this, too. I LOVED Laguna Seca and Brno, as well as Indianapolis speedway circuit. I think I just hang onto the good old days a bit too much, but MotoGP felt like peak MotoGP when they raced at these. There was just something about them.
🫂 favorite teammate pairing?
AHHHH you know I have to go with Rossi and Lorenzo! That’s truly Yamaha for me (as a Yamaha fan). Their history just goes way back, and for some reason, their relationship was so special in some kind of way. I remember always feeling confused watching races, because Nick Harris would sometimes mention how Rossi and Lorenzo didn’t like each other, and this and that, but I always thought their relation couldn’t be described that way exactly.
Because like, Lorenzo and Rossi had their moments. They had arguments, they fought (MISANO 2016), and they had their spats. Rossi was always a bit targeting toward Lorenzo, especially his pre-Ducati days, around 2008-2010 (I’m thinking about that wall and the fact that Rossi tried getting Lorenzo booted from Yamaha). But at the same time, they were also always friendly at press conferences. Like they would make small jokes, or they would laugh a bit. It was never really “they don’t like each other”, bc it never felt that simple to me.
(SORRY their story is just so amazing, I love them, I’m rambling)
❤️‍🔥 favorite rivalry?
Already answered this one in detail, but it’s Dani and Lorenzo, or Marc and Valentino.
🔢 what would be your racing number?
My favorite and lucky number is 7, so I’d probably go with that. Perhaps do a little Dovizioso and make it 07, which would also remind people of James Bond tee hee🤭🤭
🃏 a rider who is underrated, in your opinion?
Hmm, I feel like all the talented ones are somewhat popular. I don’t really have a good feeling on who is underrated or rated correctly, yk? Because I have no idea if someone is loved by everyone or loved by some. I’m itching after saying Lorenzo just bc people tend to dislike him, but dw I’ll shut myself up, or we’ll be here all day.
Maybe Brad Binder? I know people like him, as I was in Spielberg and saw the KTM fans, but I also don’t see THAT much love and appreciation for him anywhere. Like I haven’t met someone who has him as their ultimate favorite. He’s super talented though, a good rider. He has potential.
🧨 a rider who you didn't like at first but they grew on you?
I already answered this on another ask, but I’ll say it here since I didn’t put much detail into it before. Aleix and Pol Espargaro rubbed me the wrong Fucking way when I first watched interviews with them and stuff. I thought Aleix talked about shit that didn’t concern him, and added himself into drama instead of keeping his nose to himself. He was also harsh with his words, I feel like. Never careful, very much old school MotoGP, which I normally would’ve liked, cus I miss those days, but not when he’s bashing my faves :((
Either way, the mf grew on me, because he isn’t as bad as I thought. He’s just really passionate about this sport, and he seems like a good person. I rooted for him at Catalunya, I really did.
And Pol. He had too much hope for his time on the Honda, and he mentioned somewhere in an interview that he “hoped” he could “do better than Pedrosa and Lorenzo” which annoyed me, bc thinking you’ll be better than Dani at Honda Repsol?? Brother gotta be dreaming. I just clowned him for it for a while, the same way I clown Mir for saying he’ll “make Honda win again” HAHAAAAAA KEEP DREAMING MY GUY
