>> Yes. I’ve also received 23’s flight pattern request and computed it, with approval from 23. Take a look at them, see which pattern appeals to you.
“Hm… the power district is farthest, but yields the best results. Going flight route 2 gets us the rarest things but costs the most… There’s a lot of different directions we can go here.”
>> Indeed.
“What are the consequences for missing specific items? Can you pull up the inventory of mechanical parts please?”
[Inventory is projected onto the screen]
>> We are missing critical servos and wires for upkeep of units. Furthermore, greater access to solar panels and batteries allows partial awakening of REACT units without solar panels. Flight pattern 2, 4, and 7 fulfill these needs best.
“We can’t get some of that with our current NOMAD bots, right?”
>> Harvesting rates would be down.
“What has the highest harvesting rate with our current units?”
>> Pattern 7.
“What fixes do we have to make to the NOMADs before they’re ready for another round?”
>> The returning NOMAD units require some tune ups, all are fully charged, and the data updates for their flight patterns and objectives.
“So like, a day or two.”
>> A day or two. Should I contact Human 3 about the tune ups?
“Sure, call ‘em.”

3: “More tasks?”
1: “Fraid so. Sending you the file, it’s mostly tune ups.”
3: “What’s it for?”
1: “The next squad. We haven’t gotten the motion passed, but it’ll be easy. An easier task than last time, a flight path that doesn’t stray as far, and we get some more supplies. Lemme send that over to you too, let me know what you think of it.”
3: “Conservative. You could add a few in-building pit stops there and take stuff from those buildings’ internal wiring.”
1: “I don’t know if the EXTs can do that.”
3: “I could.”
1: “Dude…”
3: “I’ve been doing nothing but tune ups for 2 months now, man. What the hell am I even doing here, if I’m not helping out?”
1: “But Squad—”
3: “Listen. We’re going to die without any meaningful progress. Let me go. This is a pretty close perimeter. If you wanted, I could even check in between building dismantling. So it’s a mission that’s totally a few days, but I’d basically sleep within our limits. You know I’m right.”
1: “GOV-23’s not going to like it. And hell, I don’t like it. If something happens to you, I don’t know if we can help at all. What if the other extensions are damaged like these guys?”
3: “It’s a risk I’m willing to take - and, I’m still super close to our district. We’ll be fine. And we can handle 23 - since when have you cared about 23’s opinion.”
1: “This goes to them.”
>> Probability of motion passing with human involvement is below 10 percent without overriding 23’s commands.
3: “I get it but—look, you’ve gotta try at least.”
1: “You… know how bad some of the earlier missions went.”
3: “This is why we added safety measures. Send me on a small mission with little consequence. I remember. I was there.”
1: “NOMAD, how do you feel about this?”
>> Human 3 will be able to collect scrap materials better than any of us. The check-ins improve the odds of a safe return.
1: “I’ll see what I can do. I don’t like it, but you’re your own man.”
3: “Damn straight. Put me in, coach.”
1: “Yeah, yeah—you’re writing it though, while I’m working on the rest of the paperwork.”
3: “Sure thing. Thanks, man.”
1: “Might as well do my pod leader duties once in a while.”

You know I've been wondering...with all the Carlos is the better driver, Ferrari fired the wrong one bullshit, and Sainz camp absolute zooming on his underdog-ness, will this fly if he's at RedBull? Will people start saying Carlos is better than Max 3 time world chanpion, 19/22 race wins, 10 consecutive wins, most points in a season Verstappen because he won in Singapore?
On the other hand, if Carlos does well in a Adrian Newey rocketship, I fear people will start saying he was better than Charles all along, which is ridiculous more than it is infuriating.

So, first of all, and most important, this is a lot of what ifs. Starting with Carlos going to Red Bull. I know Christian has been mentioning it but at this point I really don't think it's gonna happen. For now I see Checo extending with Red Bull for one more year if he continues to drive like he has the past 4 races.
Now that that is out of the way:
We need to understand that this propaganda that we are seeing now is exactly that - propaganda. Anything that is said during these few months about Carlos is said in order to get him a good seat. If Carlos was not in such a situation I do not think the talks you mentioned would be so pronounced. If the flashing newsworthy "Ferrari fired the wrong driver" headline didn't exist no one would care enough to spread such rhetoric. The articles would not get popular. No one would read since there would be no story. All this is happening because Carlos was fired (he was not actually fired he just didn't extend the contract) and because Carlos is looking for a team.
So I think that if he joins red bull, the story will be over. The team hunting will be done and dusted, there would be no need for such headlines. Of course, there will be the usual "will we finally get a title fight in red bull" but that would happen with any top driver going to Red Bull right now. It happened last year with Checo at the beginning. Everyone kept over estimating Checo bc he won some races and everyone was expecting a title fight when in fact.... the title fight was non existed because Checo is simply not on Max's level. So I think these conversations would for sure be present if Carlos joins Red bull. Would they be saying that he is better? Maybe. For the headlines and for the drama. But just like right now it is obvious this is not true (and IT IS obvious if you watch the races) it will be obvious then too. Simple as that.
And yes, if Carlos does good in the Red Bull they will say that he is better than Charles but such is the sport and we can not do anything about it until Charles is also in the red bull. Which can't happen. So there is no need to worry about something that a) hasn't happened yet (and probably will not) and b) is in the nature of the sport and we can't do anything about.
And most importantly we should not let any of this get to us. We know who the better driver is. Their clickbait articles and obvious fishing for sponsors do not interest me. I know who my drivers are and I believe in them. And I will always support them.
