do some real good
Rated: T
Synopsis: Jen gets an offer she’d like to refuse, so who you gonna call?
Preview:
But then the practical side takes over, and Jen can’t help but be tempted. It would be nice to have a solid paycheck again. Be able to move back into her apartment - or any apartment, really. Stop falling behind on law school debt repayment.
She’s not Bruce, who can hide out on a private island for years at a time. She’s no Tony Stark, insulated from consequences by billions in the bank, nor is she interested in being a government-subsidized full-time super. She loves being an attorney, and, so sue her (wink), she’d like to be able to do what she loves and afford nice shoes!
It doesn’t take long before Jen realizes that she does, in fact, have someone she could ask about all this and get some honest advice. But it turns out, it’s a lot harder to pick up the phone and press “call” than it is to ask an omniscient, sentient AI to nudge the story and bring that sweet smile (and equally sweet ass) back into her life.

Based on how “She-Hulk” is going, I’m lowkey laughing that the show is implying that Matt Murdock is the ideal guy for Jennifer Walters. We’ve seen so far:
1) Jen likes that She-Hulk gives her fame and attention, but feels that it’s cheating since it’s not really her. We see this when the handsome doctor dumps her when she turns back to Jen.
2) A major subplot in the show is Jen trying to find love.
3) She thinks the One is Josh since he saw her as Jen…but that falls apart when Josh turns out to be a member of Intelligencia.
4) We see in the trailers that Matt tells Jen that she can do great things as BOTH She-Hulk and Jen Walters. We also know that Jen is attracted to Matt and that they flirt somewhat with each other.
So, is this what we’re going for? Handsome doctor liked She-Hulk, Josh (pretended) to like Jen…and Matt Murdock is the one who likes both sides of her. Because that feels like where this series is going.

People saying “She Hulk predicted the ‘misogynists/haters’ reaction to it” as if Marvel Studios and Disney haven’t been actively staging and provoking and exaggerating this sort of thing to frame themselves as “your friendly neighborhood woke corporation” and get y’all to defend their work from criticism and give them your money. And as if whining about people who hate your work IN your work isn’t, like, the most pathetic thing imaginable to do as a writer.

Synopsis: Jen’s first visit leads to some unexpected moments.
Preview:
He’s back in Hell’s Kitchen, and in a way, it’s a relief to be doing the long-distance, casual thing with Jen. He’s happy to be there for her - and he certainly enjoys their lengthy phone calls - but the distance means he gets to stay the charming smart-aleck who flirts on a mission and deftly wins over prying families, at least in her eyes.
Now, though. Now she’s here. It’s just for a couple of days - she’s with a team scoping out new office space; she’ll be back in a month to sit the abbreviated bar exam. She won’t even be in town long enough to meet Foggy and Karen this time, but when he talks to her, she teases him about finally getting to see his city and his place, and does his apartment have as bold a color scheme as his supersuit, and he’s quickly learning that he has a very hard time saying no to Jen when he can hear the smile in her voice.
