My honest answer is that it's not a priority right now. That's not really the fic's fault, because I still like the premise. It was my experiment with writing a multi-chapter as I went, and long story short, I can’t work like that without burning out.

Painted my first 40k mini!

My goal with the pallet is to be greyscale with the exception of yellow energy and glow.

My custom forge world is Forge World Dis-Pater, a Dyson Sphere world with a 1920-30’s style of depression and oppression

Dis-Pater is a world that was built during the Golden Age of Technology and survived the Age of Strife on it’s own. Also post-strife, it’s a world that was first contacted by the Cult Mechanicus, rather than the Imperium.

First contact went well, they were “Liberated” and “saved”

Also we love flamers, they make for great riot control.

Inktober story 8

Tuïf sat at his kitchen table, idly blowing on his cup of Earl Grey, half-listening to the radio.

"... other news, one Vsvsksï Ptʃrkägru was arrested yesterday for shoplifting from a pharmacy. The officer who performed the arrest, Reïmənd Smiþ, stated that Vsvsksï was violent, and threatened to strangle him. Smiþ fired only two shots, hitting Vsvsksï in the face and hand. Their trial will be held this coming Fri-" Tuïf jumped, nearly spilling his tea, as the news was cut off by a loud beeping.

"This is an emergency broadcast for Ridgeport City. A class three biohazard event has occurred. All citizens seek shelter immediately. Repeat. This is an emerge-"

"Jesus." Tuïf let out, silencing the radio. Class three meant an immediate threat to life. Tuïf was glad his house was sealed. But just in case, he took out his phone to look up some more information.

"Remove from affected area... nullified by water vapor..." he mumbled as he read.

Suddenly, there was frantic knocking at the door. Tuïf flung himself from the table and opened it as fast as he could. He didn't have time to process anything about the person on his doorstep before he grabbed them and pulled them inside. As soon as the door was shut, he dragged them to the bathroom and practically threw them into the shower.

Tuïf waited for a few minutes after their coughing had subsided to speak up. "Are you okay in there?" He called through the curtain.

"Yeah..." came a hoarse reply. They turned off the water and pulled back the curtain.

They were a ksel, which was about the only thing Tuïf had noticed as he dragged then inside. They were tall, with broad shoulders, burgundy and cream fur, and they had unusual band markings around their ears. Most striking of all, though, was how emaciated they were. Their tail was limp, their limbs were thin and frail, and their whole chest was sunken in far enough for Tuïf to see each of their individual ribs.

"Are... you alright?" He asked. They nodded silently. "What's your name?"

"Zrask." they replied eventually.

The two were sitting in silence at the kitchen table. The radio was on, but turned down low. Tuïf only had it on to listen for the all-clear.

"So..." he began. "What happened to you?"

"What?" Zrask said quietly. It seemed like it was still painful for him to talk.

"Like, how'd you end up like... this." Tuïf clarified, gesturing to Zrask.

"I don't understand." Tuïf sighed.

"Okay, let's start with an easier one. Are you hungry?" Before Zrask could answer, a loud growl came from his stomach. "I'll take that as a yes." Tuïf said with a laugh. "I'm not really much of a cook." he apologized, rooting through a cabinet. "But I think I've got some canned ravioli. Is that okay?"

"Yes." Tuïf pulled out a can labeled with a picture of a smiling human in a toque and pressed it to the can opener.

"Do you want it hot?" He asked, pulling out a bowl.

"No." Tuïf poured the ravioli into the bowl, shaking the can to get the pieces stuck to the inside out, before setting it on the table. "Let me get you some-" before he could finish his sentence, Zrask started eating straight from the bowl. Within less than a minute, he was licking the last remnants of sauce from his muzzle.

"Uh... do you want any more?" Tuïf asked.

"Yes." Before Tuïf could turn around and search the cabinet for more cans, Zrask put a hand on his wrist.

"Thanks."

"No problem." Tuïf replied with a smile. Zrask smiled back as he let go.
