Life as a resident of Snow Mansion: Meguro Ren

[Morning]

When I get busy with a lot of jobs, I prioritize getting sleep. For example, if I have to leave the house at 10am, then I’ll sleep until 9:45am. In 15 minutes I brush my teeth, and then I grab the faucet and pour water on my head to fix my bed hair (laughs). I quickly dry my hair with a towel, change clothes, put my smartphone in my pocket, and then leave the house. Aren’t my mornings hectic? (laughs) Nowadays it’s usually like this, so I often eat breakfast at the location. I also leave the house before dawn a lot. I actually like looking at the stars in the night sky more, but just that moment when the dark sky gradually brightens while I’m on the bus, always makes me feel excited.

[Noon]

I tend to skip lunch. Even before, I don’t have the habit of going to eat lunch by myself when I have free time. I do think “since I’m a bit free, I’ll go to sleep” (laughs). Because the times I go out lessened, I haven’t gone out even for the regular walks with Raul. But the place I want to go to the most right now is probably the movie theater. I definitely want to see the works I’m involved in, Osomatsu-san and Tsuki no Michikake, on the big screen. I’ll sit on the last row and try to make myself smaller (laughs). When I was a kid, my grandmother used to take me to movie theaters. She puts a big onigiri in my red backpack. We’d eat at the park before going to watch a movie. How nostalgic...! To the people watching the works I’m in, I will be very happy if you’re able to associate movies with wonderful memories.

[Night]

On days I have time, I watch movies and dramas. Maybe because we’re now in a state where we can’t easily go outside the country, but I am drawn to light-hearted works set in a gorgeous city overseas. I also like late-night TV programs that just show endless cityscapes of foreign countries. I just watch it until dawn without thinking of anything (laughs). I memorize scripts during the day, and the night is spent on the last checks for tomorrow’s shoot. It would eat into my sleeping time if I memorized lines at night. If I don’t get enough sleep it might have a negative effect on my performance the next day. Then wouldn’t it be a waste of my hard work? Today too, I’ll immediately go to sleep as soon as I get home (laughs).
