Drow Name Tables
Something I did as a special favor to @kimmurielsscryingmirror (@eldritchmist ) who showed interest. Because it’s...pretty big I decided to make it into it’s own post.
These are a few Drow naming tables that were originally found in an issue of Dragon Magazine. It’s two d100 tables of prefixes and suffixes commonly used in first names. The second couple of tables is a list of common house name prefixes and suffixes.
EDIT: Just a little something for those who care which I didn’t add before because it took me so long to finish the transcription I just wanted to post it lol. The gender difference is noted in the related Dragon Magazine article as being significant. Non Drow may not notice but a Drow will notice the difference. Female names sometimes borrow parts that are normally only considered male and this is considered fine...but a male with a name that borrows a typically only female part would be seen as extremely taboo.

I am going to write way too seriously about a magical girl anime that almost no-one watched
I love Magical Lyrical Girl Nanoha. It is a magical girl anime which sort ends up overlapping into a police procedural at one point with a group called "The Space Time Administration Bureau"
However what I find interesting is that the approach to justice reflects a philosophy that I haven't seen in many places. Broadly they treat crime as misalignment between the perpetrator's needs/wants and society.
An example of how this works is a case where there is a string of assaults. A person seeking out people who look tough and starting fights. In Nanoha this was dealt with by diverting the person into combat sorts where their desires for violence could be done consensually and without social disruption.
The TSAB's Maranda equivalent is roughly "Lay down your arms and surrender we will listen to your needs".
There is a restitutive aspect such that the perpetrator is expected to take actions to compensate and if they are unwilling to co-operate they are confined. However this seems to go beyond restorative justice.
