introducing bao tran, li's (paisley's bff) brother & now, paisley's hubby :)

background story: li & paisley have known each other for decades since they were neighbours. though paisley would (ocassionally) come over to li's place, bao & paisley never really got in touch (other than saying hi to e/o.) however, the 3 of them lived together in an apartment as teens & paisley only started seeing bao after her first relationship (w/c also ended on bad terms.) she saw bao as her safe place & they started dating! li was surprised to say the least (as they kept their relationship in the dark for a little while) but she was extremely supportive of their relationship.

Things with Mia were going well, and one day Quill was supposed to go out on a nice date with her. But his plans were put on hold when Summer and Diane showed up to their door. Once again, the pair had gotten into a fight and each needed their friend to rant to.

Quill hadn’t seen Diane in a while. Him being a teenager and her being a child put their friendship on hold. And he was in no mood to have his date be ruined because of her and Summer’s constant bickering.

But his mood instantly shifted once he saw Diane. It felt as though he hadn’t seen her in so long, and he certainly hadn’t seen her since she became a teenager. He was taken aback by how strongly he felt when he saw her.

“I’m sorry, princess,” Quill called over. “But I’m going to have to ask you to pick up that trashcan you just kicked over.”

Diane rolled her eyes. “Don’t call me that. I’m not in the mood for your stupid jokes.”

Quill could hardly focus on what she was saying. He was distressed by his feelings. It felt wrong to feel this way about her. It was Diane. And yet he felt like he was looking at the most beautiful girl in the world. His date with Mia was quickly forgotten.

Trying to stay focused, Quill asked, “What’s wrong? What happened now?”

Diane closed her eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. “She and my dad are just being their controlling selves, like always. I swear, Quill, I’m running away as soon as I can. I have some money saved.”

“Well, you can’t leave without me.”

It was then that Quill’s phone rang. It was Mia asked him where he was. Quill had completely forgotten. He sighed and looked up at Diane, regret evident on his face.

“I’m sorry, Dee,” He said. “I was supposed to have this... date... with Mia and I should already be there by now. Raincheck?”

Diane rolled her eyes. “Pathetic,” She seethed. “Ditching your lifetime friend for some random girl.” She started walking away from him. “Just go. I don’t want to talk to you anyway.”

Even though everything in him wanted to stay, Quill left.

Sky had never seen a more beautiful and glowing pregnant person in his life before. His beloved’s body was changing but she only became more beautiful with every inch her belly grew.

Her smile in pregnancy was absolutely effervescent.

Sky couldn’t keep his hands off his pregnant wife. He laid his hands upon her belly and waited for the not so infrequent kicks of his child.

He couldn’t wait until his child was in his arms and he could hold them.

For now, Sky was just enjoying each day in this season of life with Sparrow.

So, yeah, guess who thought they were going to do a straightforward decades lookbook and ended up making things entirely too complicated? 🙋‍♀️ The visual side of my brain is always tickled when CC creators put together little catalogs for their collections. That was my initial inspiration. Then I did a half-baked magazine cover concept and wanted to make a better one. I used this template as a base, and the headlines ended up being the most fun part. Anyway, I don't know how many people will click the link let alone scroll through the entire thing, but you'll be rewarded with several paragraphs of Vatore history if you do. I did this more to properly establish their timeline for myself than anything else, but I put a lot of care and time into it, so I appreciate anyone who reads. ❤️

portsim is a small city in the south. it was established as a town in 1752, and the current population is 97,915. it's full of history and has a lot of culture. with increasing poverty rates, gang violence, and a drug epidemic, crime is at an all time high. will the city’s new mayor be able to make portsim a safer place?

4 months in the making and it’s finally here! huge thank you to everyone that’s been following me through the process. ♡ y’all are so kind and supportive and i really appreciate all the love. this was originally going to be a personal save, it’s inspired by my hometown (portsmouth, virginia) most builds are based off real places around me, and some households are based off my friends and family. this is very much still personal to me!

willow creek, newcrest, and magnolia promenade have been rebuilt, repopulated, and transformed into one large town

i own all packs and kits, if you don't you can still play this save but build and cas objects will be missing

check out the portsim townie index (wip) to read their bios and keep up with their stories. some already have posts but some are empty, i’ll be adding more as i play

21 residential lots / 19 community lots - please read community lot descriptions because most are multi functional! i also left some empty commercial spaces that are “for lease” so i can add things as new packs come out

added new holidays - i changed names to be more realistic and added a few (spring cleaning day, easter, independence day, halloween, christmas eve)

added 5 new clubs (city officials, a gang, a cult, a record label, painting classes by a townie)

i’ve never made a save file before, and this is just the first version. please let me know if you run into any issues. i want to eventually add more households, and i also want to add + rebuild other worlds

i highly suggest turning the eco lifestyle ep’s eco foot print + npc voting off, unless you want the town to look apocalyptic and the trinity church community space to be set to the winter version during summer etc

i turned neighborhood stories off, but sims were still adopting babies and divorcing each other so i kept them all in the my households tab, you don’t have to keep them there!

shoutout to @cowplant-snacks and @nightlioness for letting me use some of their sims as background townies so there's not as many ugly npcs

next world that’s going to be added: oasis springs + del sol valley - idk which one will be out first! but they're coming soon ♡
