World Food Day 2020

“Jangan buang-buang makanan, hargai petani dan semua penyedia jasa makanan”.

(Do not waste food, respect farmers and all food service providers.)

That is what my parents said to me since I was a young child. Farmers, chefs, food delivery service are all work hard providing us food to earn money for living, so we can eat to live. As long as we can eat, we have to be grateful. There are many unfortunate people out there who suffer from hunger and lack of nutrition due to poverty.

Food is very important aspect to keep us alive, as part of culture, and as part of lifestyle. In Asian culture, giving food for someone is indirect way to say “I care for you”, and cooking food for someone is indirect way to say “I love you” to the person. --------------------------------------------------------
