Not-So-Simstober: a (love letter) 31 day sims challenge
A staple of the season, Simstober posts have been delighting our games and feeds for the last few years. Unfortunately, word on the street is our fangtastic friends @simstober are currently busy with other haunts. But the legacy of those years of magic lives on...
Help spread the spirit of Simstober with 31 haunting prompts. Use one each day in the month of October to create the spooky sims content of your choosing (edits, renders, lookbooks, stories, CAS creations, builds, etc.). Share your creations with #simstober challenge or #simstober 2023 so the team can know they are in our macabre little hearts. 🖤

Hmmm... Hürrem has moved on awfully fast, and took a liking to Gustav despite the fact that a.) they aren’t married and this is the 1860s, b.) they literally live in the same house with a dozen other people who definitely would realize something was going on, and c.) this is Elvira and Bartolomew’s bed since it’s the only double bed on the entire lot. I know you just got done traveling for like four months straight, but this is a bit much, you guys!

Welcome to VIVARIUM (v1.0)
After weeks of hard work, it's finally ready.
VIVARIUM V1.0 - Official Release
Vivarium is my first attempt at sharing my weird stuff with the world, in the shape of an inhabited custom neighborhood for TS2.
It's inspiration comes from the movie of the same name, "Vivarium", as well as the popular TS4 100 Baby Challenge.
It was also born from my annoyance with Family Aspiration sims and their constant wants for MORE children. So, I did what any sane person would do, and pitted them against their own nature.
Essentially, the matriarch, Ms. Violet, plays the role of Birth Mother to an entire town of male baby daddies, except there's a twist! One of the baby daddies has alien ancestry. The player successfully wins the challenge if:
They reach the 100 baby mark, using whatever means necessary (except adoption, of course)
They have an alien baby and therefore find out who the alien baby daddy is.
It is meant to be played like it's TS4 counterpart, with minimal tweaks to the rules. Kinda like, 100 Baby Challenge meets a Find The Alien in Disguise Challenge. The baby mama is also not allowed to have any sort of income, asides from child support! 🥵
Includes:
50 lots that look exactly the same, for insanity purposes. All baby daddies have the privilege of owning one, as Mr. Jack here is keen to demonstrate.
One very neat birthing station mommy homestead home for Mrs. Violet.
Including a real neat tree house in the back for your kids! Clearly, the children aren't the prisoners of this hellish experiment.
There are a total of 50 baby daddies in this challenge, 37 of which are normal sims, 3 are warlocks, 3 are werewolves, 3 are plantsims and 3 are vampires. It's up to you now to find out who the alien is!

Mods & CC:
There are a number of Necessary Mods for this neighborhood to work. You will run into errors if you don't have these in your downloads folder. These are:
Custom Skintone Selector - You just have to keep this in your Downloads folder. It keeps the alien in his disguise.

Anti Redundancy
No Stray Respawn
No Townie Regen (search for "notownieregen.zip" to find it in the list)
The Necessary Mods in order for the challenge to be played, unless you want to play the challenge your own way! These are:
Child Support Controller v3.A - So that your birth mother can have a source of income while popping out all those babies
TeenStar PC / PC Omega 3000 - A PC that allows teens to move out on their own
Last Name Chooser (Baby) - So that you can choose the children's last name to be their father's. Note: Last Name Chooser seems to conflict with two Mods by TwoJeffs: "No Smart Milk Drag" & "Same Sex Marriage"

Round 1: zan-Nate (Intro)
You know that feeling when it’s nearly sunrise on New Year’s Day and the whole tribe is getting ready to burn the demons of the old year away, then the next thing you know your entire village is hurled back to the tail-end of the prehistoric era by an angry god of greed and deception, who then announces that the ancient tyrannical empire that, in this time, is almost at the point of being founded, will be your people’s creation, before storming off and sealing the portal and leaving everyone wondering if it’s true, false, a double bluff, or will become a self-fulfilling prophecy?
The Nuidya of Kulo Seeri do.
And in times like that, there’s only one place they’re likely to turn to: the one who speaks for (most of) the Spirit World, shaman Mari zan-Nate. So it stands to reason that this Test of Time should introduce Mari’s household first.
Mari (ve/vir) is twenty-five starbands old, which is actually pretty impressive in the high-turnover career path of Nuidya shamanism. Three apprentices (who also use ve/vir pronouns, like most shamans in KS) live with vir as adopted members of the zan-Nate clan.
Vinya “zan-Shola” - who everyone seems to agree is not a zan-Shola at all, but rather some kind of fae changeling - is the youngest apprentice, stood next to Mari gawking at nothing in the above picture. As the only apprentice with innate magic, Mari has high expectations for Vinya, which Vinya isn’t convinced ve can live up to.
The eldest of the trio, Tiozura zan-Zade, is a survivor of two time rages and, like Vinya, figures that if weird stuff is going to keep happening around vir then ve might as well study shamanism - and, hopefully, learn to keep it in check. I have no idea what ve’s winking at.
Finally, there’s Luyisula zan-Avira. The only AMAB member of the group, Sula took the apprenticeship with Mari due to being unhappy identifying as a boy... and as a girl... and ve’s still not really feeling the rakare (the gender identity of most shamans in KS, literally ”ancient soul”) thing. Sula both hopes that delving into the Spirit World will help clear things up, and fears what the answer might be.

No Desafio: Construtor de vizinhanças, o objetivo é construir uma cidade próspera do zero, usando regras para orientar a expansão dos seus distritos. Incluindo a criação de novos Sims e lotes comunitários.
Objetivo do desafio: Edificar uma vizinhança próspera do absoluto zero.
DESAFIO DAS DÉCADAS
A ideia central desse desafio é viver com a mesma família através dos anos de 1890 até 2020, em uma linha do tempo histórica, aprendendo como as tradições, costumes e limitações da comunidade mudaram através dos séculos
Do Lixo Ao Luxo
Basicamente o desafio consiste em começar uma casa com nenhum dinheiro, não ter um trabalho oficial e ter sucesso na vida, com família, dois filhos ou não, uma mansão e uma piscina.
DESAFIO - Família Souza
Humberto, uma boa pessoa, mas muito vagabundo, nunca gostou de trabalhar. Filha de uma família classe média, apaixonou-se por Cintia, uma patricinha mimada. Após muito tempo de namoro, seus pais os obrigaram a se casarem, e os dois se mudaram para Belavista. Apesar de o multimilionário pai de Cíntia não apoiar a mudança, pagou a nova casa de sua filha. Agora cabe a Humberto ter que trabalhar para sustentar sua nova família.

TS2 100% CHALLENGE RULES:
Start in an empty town.
Start with only one Sim,
Buy any sized lot, remove remaining money and move sim in. Place Rod Humbles free computer into inventory, do not use or sell.
One may only move in another sim when they can provide for them. (Bed, food and space for both.)
You may only build public community lots (Government Funded) when a sim is currently Mayor. (LVL 10. Politics)
You may only create a privately-owned business when you have someone to own it.
You may not place businesses in town that you do not own.
You must create your own:
Shopping District and Downtown,
Optionally, you may make your own Uni, but this is not required.
You cannot make Sims to add towards your Family, they must be met through gameplay - exceptions only for evading incest.
No Premades. Upon moving in Townies, they may keep their jobs. No cheat-y mods or CC, no checking Sims needs or employment if you cannot already control/see them.
You may shift-click Townies to give cellphones, just because you are off the grid, doesn't mean they are. You must buy your own cellphone.
Owned Aspiration Rewards/Job Rewards may be used if earned.
No Exploits, only use cheats when needed. (Sim is stuck, ect.)

Loft Story : Sims edition
DAY 1 - Who’s leaving us ?
Well, well, well... What a surprise !
I did NOT see that coming. Johan is the one with the most points, he got a somehow nice relationship with EVERYONE, except Pierre. And I was really baffled cause he spent most of the day playing pool by himself. It seemed that hanging out a little and breakfast together really worked for him...
On the other hand, really sad to say Amita is the first one to leave the Loft. It seemed she was to shy to speak to anyone except for Jisung and Johan, even when she hang out with Kimiko for a bit.
See you soon for day 2, where Loft Story becomes Love story ....

Alright. Let's do this!
Aaaaand we reached the end of this challenge!
The Single Vampire Parent was an interesting premise. How are you going to raise a kid when you're unavailable for half a day? There's a good story right there.
In terms of challenge, tho, it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Having a high relationship score was doable early. Honestly, he hardest part was seeing Isabel as a child unable to go out or interact with other kids unless they came from school. That's pretty sad :( but she was a tough girl.
Either way, I'm happy with the story I was able to tell. I love these sims.

I honestly don’t remember why Elvira was dressed in her wedding dress here (I think this was Louis and Olivia’s wedding and I was just too lazy to change her formal outfit), but she seemed to get along surprisingly well with Susanna. Perhaps she will turn into a decent mother after all!*
*I think almost every interaction she has had with her children I’ve had to force, so maybe not, but it’s a nice thought!
