I think for me, it’s probably come most commonly in my career when you work with a really great songwriter. And I don’t really want to single anyone out because I’ve been lucky enough to work with a lot of great people, but especially when you’re in the room with someone who’s got a really good sense of melody—and especially, obviously as a songwriter myself, that’s really, really inspiring. So, yeah, probably one of the many songwriters I’ve worked with.

The thing is about being a solo artist is you’re overthinking every lyric, every melody, everything [...] That’s a difficult one as well because there’s also something to be said about what’s been written, in the room, on the day. Sometimes there’s a bit of magic in the room and you just—and that’s another thing, it’s very easy to be overanalytical with the words that you’ve chosen, but actually, there’s something to be said about just owning what you did in the room on that day.
