Happy Pride Month from myself and my gang from Toon-Up!!
It’s taken me a long time to understand and accept who I am, and I know it’s the same for a lot of us out there, and it’s scary, especially in these unfortunate times when it seems like the world is against you.
But the freedom to be who you were meant to be, was fought for, and will continue to be fought for for generations to come.
Be you,
Be loud,
Be proud,
Be unstoppable.

Along with the pride month coming to an end, I want to throw some facts about my characters at you, because I think it's cute/interesting.
Trouble doesn't have a biological sex. He's just a toon, literally a sexless being. But he still talks about himself as a boy, he thinks of himself as a boy. But at the same time, he doesn't know such concepts as gender and gender roles. Therefore, he can wear a skirt/dress if he likes it. He can wear "girly" or "boyish" clothes if he likes them. He can openly show emotion/attachment and encourage others to do the same. Kid doesn't see much difference between boys and girls because he is friends with everyone. He is a toon! He wants to make all people happy! It doesn't matter what sex/gender they are.
Dark knows the difference between the sexes, and therefore can be confused when meeting people whose gender indentity is not the same as their biological sex. Don't get me wrong, if a person who looks like a girl asks Dark to use he/him pronounce toward her, he will do so. Though you may have to try to explain to him what, how and why. What will surprise him the most is people using they/them pronouns. The first thing he'll ask will probably be like, "are you multiple people in one body?" But he will try to comply with your requests, just give him some time to get used to it. He's not going to treat guys or girls differently. Yes, he treats different categories of people differently, different factors influence that, but gender is not among them.
Sweet doesn't see the difference between people. At all. You are all a potential threat to him. For him, the world is divided into two parts: those to protect (Dark, The Lost Ones, Trouble) and those to destroy (literally everyone else, unless Dark tells him to stop). This inky homicidal creature will connect you to God's wi-fi while absorbing the Equality juice.

kinda soft but reader and zendaya just had a baby :)
THISISSOCUTESTOPMAKINGMECRY okay this starts w you and z waiting for the baby to be born so you two are in the waiting room of the hospital. {ya’ll are married!!} the birth mom {Sofia} is in labor and you and z are nervous as hell waiting for this lil one to come out healthy and strong. then after that will be just a few new parent experiences! this is so precious and by far one of the cutest and favorite soft requests for z i have ever gotten, so enjoy angel, and i genuinely thank you for this request, it brought me so much joy to write
-
The Waiting Room.
“What if she doesn’t live or- what if she’s born with challenges? Baby, I don’t know what I’ll do with myself if she- I didn’t even carry her, I know Sofia did but-”
“Love.” You said in a soft and reassuring tone. “Our baby will be just fine. I know it.” You rubbed your thumb against your wife’s hand softly, something that always reassured her and calmed her down a bit.
Zendaya let out a shaky sigh and nodded. “I’m probably freaking out over nothing…”
“Yeah, pretty much!” You chuckled. “Baby Sky will be just fine. I bet you in less than an hour we’ll be holding her, telling her how gorgeous she already is and how many things she’s going to accomplish. Telling her that she’s a lover, not a fighter, just like her Mommy Z.” You leaned your head on Daya’s shoulder, closing your eyes and smiling. “It’s crazy, I couldn’t wait for 9 months to be up, and now all I gotta do is be patient for an hour or two and I feel like I’m over here dying.”
“Me too-”
“Zendaya and Y/N, I have news!” the male gray-headed doctor announced as he walked towards you guys. He was the same one that had told you two to stay calm from the start, and was sure to send nurses out now and then to update you two.
You and Zendaya quickly jumped up out of your seats, your eyes wide. “Which is?” You questioned. All you could do was pray in your head that your baby would be born healthy, and all would be well.
“She’s here. And she’s absolutely gorgeous- healthy too.”
-
The Delivery Room.
You had seen a multitude of beautiful people in your life, your wife being one of them. Some days you just looked at her and thought, ‘Wow. Out of all of the people in the world, I got her.’ It was a common thought you had, but never about anyone but Z.
But as you held such a little bundle of joy- such an angel in your arms, and as you felt her tiny hand wrap around your finger, you knew.
You knew that this little girl was one of the most beautiful human beings you had ever laid eyes on. You felt so lucky to be blessed to know she would call you ‘Momma’ or ‘Mommy’. And it was in that moment you decided that you would do everything you could- ever- to protect her from all of the dangers of the world, to keep her safe, and always smiling.
Miss Skylar Rose Coleman was born on October 10th at 9:42 A.M. Daya wouldn’t stop calling her ‘Spooky Baby!’ because every time she said it she earned a little smile from her. Skylar Rose had the most beautiful curly brown hair you had ever seen, and quite a head of it considering she had just been born. She cried when she first came out, but after that, she stayed quite silent. The doctors were worried for a moment, thinking something was wrong (which almost send you into a full panic attack), but soon learned she was just fine as long as she had some lovin’.
As soon as the nurses dared to pull the little one away from you or Zendaya’s arms, screams could be heard throughout the whole hospital. And though you told her to “Shhhh,” You didn’t really want her to. That was her way of showing you that she already loved you, and that was something you would never forget.
-
1 month.
“Daya!” You screamed upstairs. The woman quickly ran down the spiral staircase wearing a tank and shorts, her bushy brown hair pulled up into the messiest bun you had ever seen.
“What?!” She asked worriedly, and you could tell you had scared her.
“Look, just look.” You picked up Skylar from the floor and held her close to you. “Who does Momma love? Does Momma love…Daya?”
A quick grunt was heard from Skylar and the most unpleasant facial expression show on her face. Zendaya raised a brow and chuckled as she watched, fully amused.
“Oh, that’s right!…Does Momma love Skylar?”
Instead of the past reaction, this time the little angel cooed with a smile, blinking a bit as her lips turned to a satisfied ‘O’.
“See! Baby knows who Momma really loves more.” You teased, placing Sky in between some pillows for some supervised tummy time.
“Hmmm, I don’t know. I still think Momma loves me more.” Z replied, wrapping her arms around you from the back, her face comfortably fitting into the crook of your neck. She peppered kisses against it, causing you to shiver a bit.
“Shhhh.” You said spinning around and facing her. “Don’t tell Sky this but…I still love her more!” You giggled pulling away.
Daya shook her head laughing, sitting on the floor next to Sky. “I love you.”
“I love you too-” you replied, but were quickly cut off by a jokingly snarky Zendaya.
“Oh, is that you Y/N?! I was talking to Sky!”
-
4 months.
“Come on angel girl, you can do it!” You and Z cheered as though you two were cheerleaders at a (very soft?) football game.
But no, you were simply sitting on the floor with a very determined baby girl that you were lucky enough to call your daughter in front of you. She was trying to roll over, and god she was close. The doctor told you two not to force it, which meant not helping her to do it, and to let her do it herself. So you two weren’t per se forcing her- a bit of cheerful encouragement couldn’t hurt.
Just moments after you two had begun cheering her on, she rolled over completely- and Z got it on tape. You two burst into excitement, attacking the small child with kissies and little huggies. She beamed with joy and absolutely loved all of the attention.
You and Z knew from a very very young age that Sky would be a little show stopper. You both knew she would be gorgeous- which was something else within itself, but the way that girl did stuff just to get one of her Mommies’ attention was unreal. Put her down for two seconds? Suddenly it’s time for a diaper change. Gotta use the bathroom for two minutes? You come back to her striking a pose in the crib. It was quite precious though, the way she loved you two endlessly. And all you and Zendaya did was love her back just as much.
The press tended to ask you a lot of the exact same question. Since you and Z had decided on not bringing Skylar up in the public eye quite yet, that’s all they seemed to have questions about. The most common one was always, “Is little Skylar Rose spoiled at all?” And every time, the same answer.
“Yes.”
-
8 months.
‘They grow up so fast!’
Something you had heard your whole life and was so tired of hearing.
Until you started saying it.
You never realized how truthful the statement was, you still couldn’t believe your baby- your Skylar Rose was almost one year. She was crawling, babbling, feeding herself and playing with toys. It seemed as though she was trying to say words, and the growth was incredible to watch.
You talked to her often, she loved your voice. Whenever she would cry, all you had to do was talk to her and away went the tears. And don’t even get me started with when Daya started singing.
Sky was getting even more clingy, and at a whopping 21 pounds, it was harder to carry her as much as you usually did. Of course, that didn’t stop you from acting like your baby was velcro to you. Though Zendaya started trying to convince you that you should let your baby be a bit more independent, crawl more places and get to the walking stage, you honestly didn’t listen.
It was a warm June day the first time Skylar said both of your names. After doing a bit of research you learned that it was quite rare for a baby to officially start babbling names on repeat out of nowhere, so you felt blessed. The three of you- excuse me, four, Noon was included as well- sat on a light blue picnic blanket in the backyard. Skylar ate her applesauce as you and Z talked whilst eating sandwiches. And in the midst of the conversation came:
“Momma! Zee-Zee!”
You practically choked on the sandwich, while Z actually did.
“DID SHE JUST-” she sputtered out through coughs.
“SHE DID-” you exclaimed in awe, partly patting her back but mostly focusing on Skylar.
“Toon!” Sky giggled pointed at Noon, who scooted closer to her and placed his head by her feet. He had already embraced the name, he knew Sky didn’t say it right, but hey- it was an attempt.
Quickly pulling out your phone you turned on the camera. “Say it again cutie patootie!”
“Momma, Zee-Zee!”
“SHE SAYS TOON TOO LISTEN-” You screamed excitedly.
Sure enough, after 30 seconds of dead anticipation filled silence, out squealed Sky. “Toon,” she said softly, placing her chubby hand onto his fur. You dropped the camera as you hugged Z, both of you welling up with emotion and a sense of pride. “She’s not even 10 months yet this usually happens at 10 months-”
You usually didn’t post videos of Sky on social media, now and then maybe a rare picture. But this video was going up immediately.
1 year.
“Happy Birthday to youuuuu!”
Skylar Rose Coleman was officially a year old.
You called your baby a genius- she may not have been, but you still couldn’t believe how early she started talking. The doctors said it was due to you and Z never shutting up around her- Sky wanted to join the conversation too!
Now she had longer nails, longer hair. She had the cutest little button nose that had barely changed in the year you had raised her, and the tiniest fingers and little toes. She had the cutest laugh and the most gorgeous smile- she was a little person now, not just a small being that lived off of milk and crawled around looking for toys. She had a personality, she understood what was going on around her. It was quite scary to think that she was growing so fast, already beginning to comprehend things.
You grinned as you watched Tom smash cake in his hands just like Skylar did. The first birthday party was quite the success, everyone that knew Skylar loved her just as much as you two did. This resulted in gifts from not only friends and family that were invited to the party, but from people all over the world. A total of 1,798 gifts had been given to publicists, managers, or to you and Z personally on outings to give to Sky on her 1st birthday.
‘He’s such a mature man.” You joked to Z pointing towards Tom. Now he was putting the cake on his face, getting quite the laugh out of both Jake Gyllenhaal and Skylar.
“Mhm, remember when you used to be so jealous of that mature man?”
“Oh shut up, I was never jealous!” You defended yourself, knowing you were lying. Watching Zendaya and Tom together used to completely boil your blood, especially considering the rumors you and everyone else heard about them.
“Why do you spend more time with Tom than me?! Am I not good enough?!” She mocked you.
“One time- and that was like 3 years ago, how do you even remember that?!”
“I remember because that was the exact moment I decided that I was going to ask you to marry me.”
You smiled a bit and shook your head. “I love you…We did this. Can you believe it?”
“Can I believe I kept a living thing alive that wasn’t a plant or a dog alive for a full year? No, I can’t.”
You laughed wrapping your arms around her neck. “There are so many more years to come, Baby.”
“And I can’t wait to spend every single one of those years with you…by the way, the way that dress is hugging your body…”
“Damnit Daya can’t we have one romantic moment?!” You joked. She knew you loved the attention, both her girls did, you and Sky.
“Oh, I can get romantic if you’d like me to…you know Sky has started sleeping pretty much through the whole night now.”
“Mhm.”
“And there’s a lot of things I would absolutely love to do that we haven’t properly done in the past year.”
“Oh really now?
“Lemme just say be glad you’re not a man.”
“And why should I be glad about that?
“Because well…we would probably be making another baby.”
Your lips parted as you looked up at her and shook your head. “What am I going to do with you?!”
“Right now I would like to think that you are going to go cut me a piece of cake!”
“The way your moods change- and yes, I will. But before I do, one other thing.”
“Yeah?”
“I love you Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman.”
“I love you Y/F/N Y/M/N Coleman.”
“Forever!” You called back to her as you walked away and over to Sky.
“Foreva!” Sky giggled, smearing a bit of cake on your face as you leaned down to give her a kiss.
Yep, definitely a genuis.

DTRH!AU Masterpost
Moving into a new post since I’ve got stuff actually organized!!! It’ll likely get an update from time to time. Apologies to those whom the read more breaks for ‘^^
Everything to do with this au will be tagged #dtrh!au or #down the rabbit hole au Individual characters are tagged with #dtrh![name]
Here’s an AU PMV for starters!
Let’s get this show on the road, shall we?
Putting this up here so it doesn’t get super buried- Here’s the fic(s) set in this AU! All Moving Pictures End
The AU crash course: The premise behind the au is that everything takes place in a pocket dimension controlled by a black magic script. Joey Drew is the one who’s writing/editing this script, and his rewrites affect the world and the characters within it. His constant reshaping eventually twists the world from a sitcom genre to a horror film- hence the horror esque setting, creatures, and plot. The characters didn’t escape the rewrites’ effects either. They’re warped into corrupted versions of themselves. However, these characters end up becoming sentient after awhile. The first one of these to become entirely sentient is Henry. He’s currently the only one who’s all the way out of alignment. A toon gone rogue, if you will. He still goes along with Joey’s “plot,” but it’s more so he can try to reach the other characters than to keep Joey happy or unaware of his actions. His goal is to basically “wake up” the other characters, so they can all stop living in a hellish nightmare studio and actually try and make something nice out of their home. He’s extremely dedicated to his goal.

FAQ:
How many of the employees are gonna show up? Hopefully all the named ones in the game! Once they’ve got a design, they’re guaranteed to show up somewhere.
Are they really carbon copies of the employees? Is there nothing different about them and their irl counterparts? They started as carbon copies! Latching onto their old traits and their old selves does help them come to their senses. However, different character development happens in script than IRL, so they end up different. Henry, for example, takes up the last name “Ross” when he wakes up (instead of his IRL counterpart’s “Stien”) to differentiate himself :0
So is everyone corrupted on purpose? Yes and no. Yes, because Joey chose to rewrite the script so much that it mangled characters, but no, because he didn’t intend to mangle them in the first place. It just kinda happened.
What makes them corrupted? Corruption is what happens when you can’t hold onto the core of what your character is, and get dragged into what the new script is telling you. It’s when you lose sight of who you are among all the chaos. People who are drawn farther away from their actual selves end up more monstrous. Susie (aka “alice” angel) is a great example of this. Bendy is too! Far be it from his real nature to be a murderous monster.
So can the toons be uncorrupted? Yup! Henry’s our model citizen this time. He looks more like a toon than a normal person, sure, but there’s nothing monstrous about him. That’s because he’s latched onto what makes him Henry. He’s not letting the instability of the world around him shake him up. Otherwise he’d be a goopy mess of ink.
Why’d Joey write everyone so differently that they corrupted? He’s actually very out of touch with people once he starts rewriting the script. Since his memories are getting foggy, he fixates on details that he can remember, and exaggerates them as needed. In fact, he’s hidden tape recorders around the script studio as built in reminders of these character traits.
How’d Henry wake up? And how does he plan on waking everyone else up? Ok… this is a longer answer. It all comes together, i promise. Jus hang with me. Whenever henry dies, he gets sent back to a sort of “first draft” stage. In order to get back to the world he’s supposed to exist in, he has to get through all the layers of ink Joey put down to get to his current script. As one can imagine… there’s a lot. So much so that Henry has to essentially swim to the surface. As he passes through all this ink, he can hear whispers of previous scripts. The deeper he is, the closer these whispers are to what the world used to be like. Seeing as Henry is the protagonist, he ended up dying… a lot. Like, a lot a lot. Joey had a lot of snags in the script to work out. All these times sent into the draft-y ink soup made made Henry slowly realize what was going on. He wasn’t mindless anymore. He knew what was up. After realizing that the world wasn’t right, it didn’t take him long to push for the rest of his consciousness. He plans on using what whispers and memories he can gather to bring everyone else back. He’s not dying on purpose, mind you, but he gathers as much information as he can to help everyone else realize that they’re not who they’re supposed to be.
Wait, memories? Does Henry remember the past scripts now? Not quite? He’s got a good enough memory stockpile to keep himself centered, but he doesn’t always know what’s up ahead as he heads through another studio loop. If Joey happens to rewrite or change around the script, those patches of Henry’s memory blip out of existence. Or at least get hazy. Hen can often tell if Joey’s changed something by how many holes he has in his memories.
Can anyone in the pocket dimension get out? Henry’s the only one who can get out! Joey literally wrote him a back door to the script. It used to be so he could talk to Henry whenever the “story” was over, but nowadays it’s just to judge how fast plot goes via how quickly Hen gets back. All Henry can manage to do is walk around and stare silently. And he can’t even stay out very long. Ink’s unstable in the real world. Gotta go back in n start the horror show over if u wanna live :/
Can Joey go in? Nope! Since he’s not made of ink, he can’t go in. He can watch tho!!! He does so via writing POV shifts into the script, and watches through whatever character it shifted to. Who needs cameras when u got the eyes of black magic toons n inky monsters ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
Does Joey know Henry is sentient now? Nnnnot quite? He thinks the magic is being screwy with him. He can’t switch POV to Henry anymore, since the toon’s taken control of himself, and that’s real confusing since the writer doesn’t know what’s up. Plus, like mentioned above, Hen can’t exactly give Joey a sign once he gets out of the studio. Bummer :/
Is Joey gonna majorly rewrite the script any time soon? Nope. He’s to attached to his current plot to change the genre or anythin, so it’s gonna stay as is. With some changes here and there. One musn’t underestimate how many times u can change the order of scenes, or improve dialogue...
AU Background:
((this is long as shiz, so get some popcorn slfkjs))
Y’all probably wanna know how this whole horror show started. I’ve got two words for ya: Joey Drew. Unsurprising! But he’s our starting point nonetheless. Joey Drew is the retired owner of Joey Drew Studios, a cartoon studio that ran itself into the ground after a decade or two of fantastical cartoons. Money problems aren’t kind to the entertainment industries. However, the studio was still his pride and joy! As are the friends who stuck by him or met him during the time it was open. He kept up with all of them through the years. They were like a little family. Unfortunately, time has a way of changing things. With his friends drifting away, living their own lives, getting up in years, or a combination of the three, Joey wasn’t doing too well. He was lonely. Feeling washed up. Missing the glory days, where he helped work on cartoon scripts instead of submitting horror and mystery shorts to local magazines. Not all that surprising that he turned to something else to cope. This thing being none other than occult magic. Because… of course it is. It’s a habit he’s had for years. Nothing like some demonic rituals to spice up the life of the creative mind behind kids’ cartoons! Especially fun when you’re a man with poor impulse control and a wild imagination. In any case, Joey summons the three main characters of his beloved cartoon series. Bendy, Alice, and Boris! (I refer to these three as the “toon trio.”) He was just as happy that he’d managed to bring them to life as he was to have them around the house. It was like having slightly unruly grandkids with toony superpowers. In other words, they were absolutely delightful!!! He took care of them and admired their antics. It was a great time. … until. Well. It wasn’t. Turns out things that don’t belong in this world get rejected eventually. After a few months, things started go go wayward. The toon trio had difficulties maintaining their forms, moving, engaging in tropes, and a ton of other things. They were miserable. Joey was understandably heartbroken to see this happen to his poor toons. So, like any good person, he tried to do the right thing: put them back on the paper they came from. It didn’t end up working exactly how he’d expected. Everything comes with a price when you mess with demonic ink. The magic not only created a stack of paper instead of a series of drawings, but latched onto an old fountain pen and Joey’s closet. If the closet thing seems odd, it is. But it’s a convenient place to hide ritual pentagrams! So, closet it is. Upon frantic examination of the papers, Joey discovered it was a script. A black magic infused script. Three names up top told him the toon trio were the only characters. A bit of experimentation led him to discover that the magic-infused pen was the only thing that could interact with the script properly. Further experimentation showed him that the script had made his closet into a pocket dimension. The contents? Whatever was in his new script. This is where the real fun begins. The new magic script practically floored Joey with awe. He had a world he could shape however he wished! He could run all those scripts he’d never gotten to put in production! He could watch his toons frolick! He could even use it to play with ideas he’d never gotten to explore. The possibilities were endless!
((Of course, you might be wondering if Joey… y’know. Knew the toons were still alive. Because they were, they were just living in a pocket dimension now. In short? No. He didn’t. He carefully tested a few things with the script, just to make sure. All the toons did was what he wrote down. They moved like they were alive, but didn’t act that way. Plus, the dimension made them blank slates. They didn’t have any characterization in there to make them truly alive. So! For all intents and purposes? He saw them as you would any other character you write. A visual extension of his imagination. Ok mini rant over, back to the story--))
Playing with the toons was amazing. Joey hadn’t had fun like that in years! It was his little secret world, populated by his cherished toons. He could make believe whatever he wished. Eventually, though, loneliness started to catch back up to the old man. His friends… his family… life… it all went on. He just felt left behind. And what does Joey do when he doesn’t feel good? Not cope healthily, that’s for sure. Onwards to more occult magic! Only this time, he tries something… different. The toons were lonely. They deserved company. They deserved someone to take care of them. A familiar face. Maybe someone who helped Joey create them in the first place. Someone who’d just sent Mr. Drew an old letter and a card, since he hadn’t seen him in awhile… … someone like Henry. Using the magic pen, Joey traced over Henry’s note. Far from ruining the precious letter, it transferred “Henry” into the script. It’s not the real one! Basically a carbon copy, fresh from the time period that Hen first wrote the note in. Seeing as Henry’s letter came from around the time the cartoon studio was going strong, it’s an old version of him. But it was still Joey’s old friend. Just… toony. Toon Henry reacted just as his living friend would. If he wrote dialogue? He spoke it like Henry would. If he wrote some action? The toon put a classic Henry twist on it. Delighted, Joey returned to his script with renewed vigor. Toon Henry got to spend plenty of quality with the toon trio as the days went on. Thus began a trend of toonification. Missing one of his old friends? All Joey had to do was grab something with their old handwriting on it, and trace them into the script! There’s a carbon copy that acts just like the real deal! A fine compromise, right? … Right? Not exactly. It was fine at first. Joey made what could probably qualify as a sitcom-style story for the toony world to run on. His friends, at this point, all populated the studio. The premise was that the toons (now including the butcher gang!) had been summoned while he was still running the studio, and got up to hijinks with the rest of the employees. A hefty dose of actual studio drama- turned comedic, of course- kept the whole thing almost real. Joey even featured himself once or twice, but only in allusions, or a disembodied voice. He wasn’t about to let a carbon copy of himself have all the fun. It made him feel less lonely. More included. A fantasy world of never ending fun and heartwarming moments. How unfortunate it is that life doesn’t follow this pattern. Morality is a hard thing to come to terms with. So is sickness. Especially that of a friend. … it was just one rewrite at first. One alteration on a bad day. After all, using writing to cope is perfectly acceptable. One bad episode in the midst of sunshine doesn’t discount it all. One uncanny occurrence, though, doesn’t usually stay singular. It didn’t take long for the solitary rewrite to become two rewrites. Then three. Four. Six. Ten. Twenty. Fifty. More and more and more. Until the happy honey colored studio slipped into sinister sepia. This wasn’t the old script anymore. Not by a long shot.
The setting? A studio of shattered dreams.   Your protagonist? Henry. His goal? Survive long enough to escape.

LGBTQIA+ Favs 1 - “Always Human” by walkingnorth
Happy Pride Month! For each day until the end of June, I’ll be posting about one of my favourite comics, movies, TV shows, and video games with LGBTQIA+ themes and/or characters. I hope among any of my recommendations, y’all find something that you’ll enjoy and connect with.
Tumblr media
Let's start this month off with a bang. Always Human was my first ever introduction to Web Toons, and to this day it has remained one of the greatest sci-fi romances I have ever seen.
The general premise is quite simple - two girls begin dating one another and follow through the familiar beats of sweet romance and everyday struggles, all the while learning to understand themselves better and better accept each other's flaws. What makes this story unique, though, is its futuristic setting, taking place in a world where the wonders of genetic engineering have allowed people to use "mods" to alter their appearances in any way they wish. As a result, nearly every character is distinct looking and colourful, especially for one of the main characters whose appearance changes halfway throughout the story. Furthermore, the themes explored here are ones many readers will be able to identify with, such as how genetic disorders may put one at a disadvantage in an able-bodied society, to the everyday struggles of post-secondary education and the stress it places on us.
Sometimes sweet and other times distressing, this webcomic is a light-hearted and optimistic offering over the standard fare of dystopian futuristic stories, one that confidently says no matter how technology changes us, we'll always be human.

fluffy batim fanfic ahoy
Okey I decided to post the fic here! It’s literally just a short story about when Luna was born, with copious amounts of cute family fluff. Set in some sort of AU where either the events of the game didn’t happen or they did and everyone got out okay. Please enjoy! :’’)
Night had fallen not long ago in the city. Joey Drew Studios had closed up for the weekend, and the building was all-around quiet. That was, for the most part.
Bendy nearly tripped over himself as he adjusted his hold on the pile of towels he was carrying in his arms. It was times like this he could hardly stand being short. "You keepin' up, Boris?" He glanced behind as he stumbled down the hall, clearly struggling to both see where he was going and keep his balance.
"I'm comin', Bendy." Boris replied not far behind, carrying his own stack of towels, albeit with much less trouble. "Are you sure you don't think we might've gotten too many?"
Bendy bit his lip at the question, his expression laced with worry. "I... I really don't know, Boris. We might not need all of them, but I'd rather have too many than too little, y'know?" He chuckled weakly, although it was evident he was hardly in a mood for jokes. "It's not every day someone 'round here has a baby, after all, and... Well, I just wanna be prepared."
Boris's ears lowered slightly. He couldn't stand seeing his best friend so nervous, but at the same time he could hardly blame him. He wasn't at all experienced with this sort of thing, none of the toons were for the most part. "Uh-huh, I understand. Better safe than sorry..."
They finally came up to the bedroom door, with Bendy slowly coming to a stop right outside of it and setting the towels down on the wooden floor.
"What's the holdup?" Boris tilted his head slightly and looked over the stack in his arms.
Bendy stared at the door for a moment, his hands fidgeting. "Just... preparing myself, I s'pose..." He took a breath and exhaled slowly. "...I'm nervous, Boris. I don't have any sort of first hand knowledge about this sort of thing, and come to think of it neither does Alice. Everything we know is just stuff we've read and heard about..."
"Hey..." Boris set his own pile of towels down and came over, putting a hand on Bendy's shoulder. "It's gonna be okay, Bend. Alice is tough, I'm sure she'll be just fine."
"I know..." Bendy nodded quietly. "I know, you're right... I just gotta stop being a worry wart and be ready to help her, no matter how scared I am."
"That's the spirit." Boris smiled, his tail wagging slightly. "You've got this, I'm sure of it. You and Alice both."
Bendy nodded again, looking up to give his friend a smile. "You're the best, Boris. I really don't know what I'd do without you."
Boris chuckled, his tail wagging faster. "Aw, you know I'm always here to help. 'Capable canine' is my middle name." He stood up to his full height once more, glancing back down the hallway. "Well, I s'pose I'll leave you both to it. Just holler if you need me, alright?"
"Will do." Bendy smiled once more, waving as his friend started back down the hall. He took another breath and turned back to the door. No turning back now.
The door to the bedroom opened with a gentle creak. It was dark outside, the room's main source of light coming from a small lamp in the opposite corner. A simple, two-person bed lay situated near the adjacent wall, it's loosely-tied curtains about each bed post giving an extra layer of privacy to its occupant. Bendy paused for only a moment to take in the scene before entering, a few towels wrapped tucked under his arm. The rest could wait outside for a moment, right now he had someone else he wanted to check on.
He quietly approached the bed and drew the thinly veiled curtain back. There she was. His beautiful, darling angel. She was wearing a soft, silken robe, reclined on a pile of pillows, a book in one hand, and her other hand gently cradling her large belly. She looked up the moment she saw him pull the curtain aside and gave him a smile as she set her book down. "Evening, dearest..."
"Hey Al..." Bendy replied, his voice barely above a whisper. He set the towels on the nightstand next to the lamp and sat down on the edge of the bed, reaching up and entwining his hand with hers. "How are you doing...?"
Alice took a small breath, her free hand gently making circles on her rounded stomach. "The same as when you saw me ten minutes ago. They've been coming pretty regularly now..."
He nodded, a small sliver of worry still twinging inside of him. Alice's contractions, as Susie told him, would be coming at steady intervals with a high intensity by the time the baby was ready to be born. He already didn't like Alice being in pain, even if it was still mild, and the prospect of it getting worse only added to his unease.
Alice squeezed his hand tighter, sensing the worry on his face. "Did you find the towels you were looking for?"
"Hm? Oh, heh, yeah..." He gestured to the door behind him. "We didn't know how many to grab, so we just... sort of took them all."
She laughed softly. "Well, better safe than anything, I suppose. We definitely won't be short on them now."
"Yeah, phew, that's a relief," he chuckled and pretended to wipe sweat off his forehead before going quiet again. "... Is there anything else I can do to help? For now, at least?"
Alice glanced back down at her belly before giving him another smile. "If you could just stay here, with me, that would be enough. We've got time before anything exciting happens."
Bendy didn't have to be told twice about that. Another nod and he had already climbed the rest of the way onto the bed, wrapping his arm around her shoulders and nuzzling his face into the crook of her neck. He brought his opposite hand down to her stomach, his fingers tracing random little patterns across the fabric of her robe. He could feel their little one shifting about in there, as if they were adjusting their position until they got comfortable. Every little movement made his inky heart flutter with a joy and pride unlike anything he'd felt before. This was their baby. Their baby that they had made together, against all odds. And now it was almost time for them to finally come into the world.
Starting a family had truly been a long series of trial and error for both of them, seeing as they were toons created from an ink machine and therefore had no actual parents. The ink machine may have given them life, but who was to say whether they create life of their own? It had taken months of trying, buildups of hope that would only be dashed later on, late nights filled with disappointment and tears, but they eventually finally got what they wanted so badly. Bendy knew he'd never forget the joy he felt when Alice told him the news. How they held each other as tightly as they could, tears flowing freely. He couldn't even begin to contain his excitement during that time. He was going to be a father.
Alice nuzzled the top of his head, bringing her hand to rest on top of his on her belly. "What're you thinking about...?”
"Mmm..." He hummed softly and nuzzled her back. "Just thinking about how..." He trailed off a moment, searching for the right words.
"How big I've gotten?" She murmured with a small laugh.
"No," he snorted softly and pulled her closer, "I was gonna say something along the lines of how beautiful you are... How lucky I am to have you..."
"Ah," she grinned and pressed a small kiss to his head, "I think I'm very lucky to have you too."
Bendy couldn't hold back a small purr as she kissed him."I love you so much, Al..." He leaned his head down and gently kissed her belly. "And we love you too, kiddo. Don't be afraid to hurry up so we can meet you sooner, now."
Alice managed a small laugh before another contraction made its way down her back and across her stomach, causing her to wince slightly and take a breath as it ran its course. "Oh, she'll be here soon enough, don't worry..." She spoke with a slight strain in her voice, her hand massaging small circles on her large baby bump.
Worry crossed Bendy's face again as he felt her tense up. He brought his hand that was previously across her shoulders down to gently rub her back. "Think it's a girl, huh?" He gave her a small smile and gently squeezed her hand, hoping he could help take her mind off the pain.
"Mm..." She leaned into his touch, exhaling again as the contraction started to subside. "A little girl would be wonderful... But don't get me wrong, I'd be equally happy with a boy..."
Bendy nodded, continuing to rub her back as she relaxed. "I understand. I'll be just as happy either way as well. Boy, girl, as long they're healthy, I'll be the happiest demon."
She nodded quietly, another small smile crossing her face. "And I'll be the happiest angel as well..." She closed her eyes and rested her head on his once again. "In the meantime, think I might try and rest a bit... Just while I still can..."
"Oh, of course..." He pulled her close once again. "Rest as long as you need, darling."
"You promise you'll stay here?"
"Cross my heart."
She smiled sleepily and kissed his cheek once more. It wasn't long after that she had dozed off, leaving Bendy awake and still holding her gently. He brushed a lock of her dark hair behind her ear, pressing a small kiss to her forehead and resting his head on hers. Even when she was tired and waiting for their baby to arrive, she still looked absolutely divine to him. He closed his eyes and buried his face in the crook of her shoulder, eventually nodding off himself.
------
"... Bendy..."
Bendy's eyes twitched as he started to come back to. "Mmm...”
"Bendy, darling, wake up..." He felt a hand squeeze his arm.
"Alice...?" He mumbled and blinked his eyes, lifting his head up from the pillow and rubbing his eyes. "You okay...?"
Alice's panted softly, her chest rising and falling with every steady breath she took. Her hand closest to Bendy was gripping his arm, her other hand was holding her swollen belly. "I think... you might need to get the towels ready..."
Bendy's heart leapt into his throat. He scrambled off the bed and gathered up the towels he'd left on the nightstand. "Y-You think it's time?" He set the towels at the foot of the bed and helped her sit up against the pillows, quickly taking his hand in hers once more.
Alice winced as she pulled herself into a sitting position, immediately gripping his hand tightly. "I don't know for sure, but... It hurts a lot more than it did before..."
Bendy bit his lip. She had to be getting close. How close, he wasn't sure, but she had to be getting there. He sat on the edge of the bed again and squeezed her hand. "It's okay if it hurts, Al... Susie told us it should feel like that..."
Alice nodded and took several more deep breaths as she reclined her head back on the pillows. "One thing's for certain... This baby is definitely part demon..." She gave him a weak smile.
He managed a small grin at her little joke. "Hey, all the more proof that I'm the dad, right?" He brushed her hair aside and kissed her cheek, quietly praying she couldn't hear how loudly his heart was pounding. He was terrified, but he knew Alice needed his support more than anything else in this moment. "Just hold my hand if you want and keep breathing. The baby'll be here before we know it..."
She nodded again and closed her eyes, her eyebrows knitted in pain and concentration. In. She breathed in deeply. Out. She exhaled slowly. In... Out...
Bendy inhaled and exhaled with her, both to help her keep time and ease his own nerves. Alice is strong, he told himself. Their baby would be just as strong. He just needed to be there for her.
They continued together for what must have been hours, although to Bendy it could have just as well been only a few minutes. Through every painful contraction, every time she gripped his hand, every time he helped her breathe through it, he never left her side.
More time passed. Alice only cried out in pain a few times, but it shattered his heart every time. He went to the foot of the bed to check her later on, where he could confirm things were definitely progressing. He pulled the bed sheets covering her legs up to her knees and gave her an encouraging grin. The baby had her hair, he told her. Despite her pain, Alice couldn't hold back a smile at the statement. Time passed again, things progressed again as well. Then, not much later at all, the cry of a newborn filled the room.
Alice fell back against the pillows as she heard the shrill cry, panting heavily as she grinned up at the ceiling. She did it. She lifted her head just in time to see Bendy hold up a tiny, squirming infant in a ink-drenched towel.
"It's a girl, Alice!" Bendy laughed and gave her the biggest smile he possibly could. "We have a baby girl!"
A choked sob of delight escaped Alice at the announcement of their baby's gender. Tears ran freely down her face as Bendy carried the wailing baby girl over and gently placed her on her chest, towel and all. "Oh, hello, hello little one..." Alice spoke softly between sobs, gently rubbing her newborn daughter's back and wiping away the ink she was covered in. "Look at you... Oh, you're so beautiful..." The baby continued to cry loudly and squirmed in the towel she was wrapped in, trying to get closer to the voice she heard. Alice gave the infant a tiny nuzzle and kissed her head. "Shhhh... Mama's here. Mama's got you, sweetie..." Slowly, the baby girl's cries reduced down to whimpers as she was soothed by her mother's voice and touch.
Bendy grinned and wiped away his own tears as he watched his brand new daughter meet her mother for the first time. They'd done it. After months of trying and another nine months of preparing, their little girl was finally here. He sniffed and wiped his eyes again before coming over to sit next to Alice. "She's perfect, Al... I'm so proud of you..." He kissed her cheek and laid his head on her shoulder once again, his hand coming up and gently playing with their baby girl's hair, absolutely enchanted by this tiny little life that he helped create.
Alice blinked back more tears and leaned into Bendy, smiling as their daughter finally calmed down and stopped fussing. She made small noises as she lay on her mother's chest, her eyes still closed tight. "Have you ever seen anything as beautiful as her?"
"Never... I've never seen anything like her at all..." Bendy smiled as he continued to stroke the baby's hair. He could just barely feel tiny nubs on her head underneath her hair, where horns would most likely grow when she got older. "Say, you remember the name we'd picked out if she was a girl?"
Alice nodded quietly, turning her head slightly to meet his gaze. "You think it's a good name for her?"
Bendy nodded in return, another smile coming to his face. "Yeah... Luna. That's what we should call her."
Alice smiled back at him, returning her gaze back to her sleeping daughter. "Our little Luna..."
The couple lay together in silence, simply taking in the sheer beauty of the moment as a new family. Bendy eventually got up and fetched a clean blanket, and Alice used another towel to dry off her daughter before transferring her over to the blanket Bendy had brought. Now all clean and warm as she slept, Bendy gently played with her tiny hands and laughed softly when she gripped onto one of his fingers in her sleep. "Wait till Boris sees her. He's gonna be so excited..."
Alice hummed softly in agreement. "Susie's been excited too. She's going to flip when she learns I had the baby over the weekend."
"That'll be a fun way to start the Monday, huh," Bendy chuckled. "I bet Henry will be happy to meet her too."
"Mm, I couldn't imagine anyone wouldn't be happy..." Alice closed her eyes and rested her head on Bendy's. "She might even get a smile out of Sammy, I'd bet..."
"Oh, now that would be something. She'd have accomplished something few people have done."
Alice was about to reply when Luna started to fuss again, whining softly and nuzzling her mother's chest as if she were searching for something. "Oh, hold on, I think I know what she wants." She gently scooped the baby up with her blanket. "Bendy, could you...?"
"Hm? Oh, I got her." Bendy carefully took Luna in his hands and cradled her, grinning as she squirmed in his arms and blearily opened her eyes. "Hey there, sweetie, you have a nice nap? I'm your dad, by the way, in case you were wondering." He grinned as she blinked and looked up at him curiously. She had the same pie-cut eyes that both of her parents did, and the same off-white skin. "You know, I think the two of us are gonna be good friends. You, Alice, and I, we're goin' places, I just know it."
Alice chuckled softly as she watched Luna meet her father. Even to babies, he seemed to have an irresistible charm. She pulled the shoulder of her robe down, exposing the lower part of her chest. "Alright, you can hand her back now."
"One baby, comin' right up," Bendy chuckled and gently passed her back. He leaned back on the pillows once more and watched as Alice carefully adjusted her hold on their baby girl until she was in a comfortable position to nurse.
"C'mon, sweetie, you must be hungry," Alice murmured softly, letting Luna familiarize herself with this new position. After another moment she finally latched on properly and started to nurse. "There you go..." Alice breathed a small sigh of relief and leaned back again. "From what Susie's told me, I'm gonna get used to feeding her like this. Some babies can nurse for up to a year."
Bendy nodded quietly, not taking his eyes off their daughter. "It's pretty fascinating, if you ask me."
Luna nursed for a short while longer before she finally had her fill of milk. She released and made a soft squeaking noise before nuzzling her head into her mother's chest once more, making a tiny rumbling sound very much akin to a purr.
"Hold the phone..." Bendy leaned down to listen. "Is that coming from her?"
"I think so," Alice laughed and stroked the baby girl's head.
"You sure you didn't give birth to a cat, Al?"
"Hey, out of the two of us, she definitely got that from you, mister." Alice chuckled and gently headbutted him. "You purr all the time."
"What? Nooo," he nudged her back, trying to feign innocence, "surely you must have mistaken me."
"Oh no, I'm not mistaken at all." She gave him a quick kiss. "One of these days I'm going to catch you holding her and purring, mark my words."
"Hmm, I frankly see no problem with that at all." He hummed playfully and kissed her back. "We just purr to show affection sometimes. It's a demon thing..."
Alice hummed softly in response and nuzzled him once more. "Say Bendy, do you want to go and get Boris? Just so he can meet her before we go to sleep tonight?"
"Oh, of course, toots." He nodded and got to his feet once more. "I'll be right back, I promise."
-------
"Shoot, if only I had a red five..." Boris scratched his head as he mulled over his cards on the table.
Bendy quietly entered the room where Boris was, softly knocking on the open door. "Hey Boris?"
Boris looked up from his game of solitaire, his tail wagging slightly. "Bendy! Is everything alright?"
Bendy exhaled quietly and nodded, giving him a wide grin. "...It's a girl.”
Boris stared at him dumbfounded for a split second, then leapt to his feet and scooped Bendy up in the tightest hug he could muster. "Gawrsh, Bendy! You're a father!" He barked excitedly and spun around. "And Alice is a mother! Congrats to you both!"
"Grk-!" Bendy could barely utter a word as Boris nearly crushed his ribcage. "Y-Yeah Boris! We're parents-! Please let me get some air!"
"Oh! Sorry 'bout that!" Boris quickly released him and set him down. "Guess I really don't know my own strength when I'm excited. So, when can we see her? Can we see her now?"
"We can definitely see her now if you want," Bendy laughed as he caught his breath. "We'll have to be quiet, though."
"Oh! Right, right! I'll be as quiet as a church mouse! Ahem, starting now." Boris grinned sheepishly.
Bendy pushed the door open to the bedroom once more. "Hey Al, Boris is here to say hi..."
Alice grinned as she looked up from the tiny bundle in her arms. "Hey Boris, come right in..."
Boris approached almost cautiously, slowly kneeling down at the edge of the bed so he could get a good look at the baby Alice was holding. "Oh my goodness..." He whispered as his tail thumped gently against the floor. "She's so tiny... And so cute!" He grinned up at Alice, practically wiggling with excitement. "I've never seen anything like her before."
Alice smiled back down at him. "Neither have we, to be honest. She's probably the first baby toon, ever."
"Gawrsh, that's real exciting!" Boris wiggled happily again as he looked back to the sleeping baby. "So, whatcha gonna call her?"
Alice looked up at Bendy as he smiled and walked over. "We were thinking of calling her Luna."
"Luna?" Boris repeated the word, giving the new parents another excited smile. "That's a real nice name! You two must be so proud right now!"
Bendy and Alice exchanged smiles with each other. "We are, Boris." Bendy wrapped an arm around Alice as they both smiled down at their new daughter. Things were going to be different from now on, that was for certain. But the future most definitely looked bright. "We really are..."

Happy 10th!
The time has finally come to talk about why PaF is so important. Really, anyone could do this anytime, but this date alone has a significance to it. To any of my followers who don’t know(and will sit through this brick wall of text to find out), today is the 10th anniversary of the sneak peek premiere of Phineas and Ferb; technically, February 2008 is when it officially premiered around the world, but I’m sure that everyone else in the fandom is eager to kick off the celebration today. I’m sure this will turn out to be a multi paged thesis, so I’ll try to split this up into parts.
-----------------------------------
PART 1: Best Day Ever
Anyway, ten years ago today marks the 10th anniversary of Phineas and Ferb. This show is considered an old soul of sorts, enjoying a long lifespan of 8 years, tons of merchandising and entertainment opportunities, the admiration and respect of many celebrities, and a very long summer. As formulaic as it appears, this show has more history to it than it appears to have.
PART 2:Busted
(This part details history of Disney’s TV animation ventures and basically life before PaF. Feel free to skip if you’re clued in to its history.)
The 2000s were considered a lousy time for TV animation . While many say it's the "worst" decade for it(whether worldwide or just in North America), I'd call it a transitional period. The 90s was an exciting a refreshing time for TV animation where the stories were driven by the creators, not toy designers. I would generally consider it more of the same from the Golden Age of Animation but more modern. The 2000s had newer technologies to work with and perfect while the ‘90s mainly just worked w/ cel animation and did it so well. Flash and CG were in their infancy, so I assume the software got a bit more attention than the stories. Primarily, companies were just looking to work with more cost effective options to make their shows with. It was a rough period, but far from the worst. Anyway, this kind of TV animation is still a relatively new type of animation. Disney were the first ones to spearhead this movement and they made three or four blocks of new cartoon for different generations of kids.
The first block(formally known as Disney Afternoon)was ushered in with three pilots; Fluppy Dogs, Wuzzles and Ducktales. While the former two merely tested the waters and the latter was the only one successful, all three were made with stellar animation and complex storytelling for what everyone knew as entertainment for kids. After the success of Ducktales, Disney was brimming with pride and made seven years worth of cartoons for this block. Even if some cartoons didn't strike people the right way, they were still wildly memorable. While their D.C. original programming generally doesn't get more than short compilation discs, the DA 'toons get full series releases digitally and through DVD. This prompted to launch One Saturday Morning on ABC.
With the acquisition of Nicktoon Doug, Disney paired it up with Recess and Pepper Ann, chasing after the success they had a few years before. The aforementioned series were the highest rated on the block while other series are more obscure and buried by Disney. They are acknowledged as good but were overshadowed by 24/7 network like Nick and Cartoon Network bringing a lot more cartoons to a lot more times of the day.
Disney started to notice how much of an animated surplus they had and that they air their cartoons for weeks on end. Thus, Toon Disney was founded, which became a more visible hub for the cartoon blocks of the 90s and all other ages of Disney. At one point, they started airing Sonic the Hedgehog and making their own co-productions under their most popular TV cartoon brand, Jetix. As extensive as these programs got, they were being seen by fewer and fewer people.
To overlap slightly with the end of OSM, Disney started making more cartoons for the Channel’s demographic. Shows like Kim Possible, Lilo and Stitch, and American Dragon:Jake Long began airing and netting extraordinary ratings. In fact, Disney Channel was probably most successful in the early 2000s. It found its new groove if you will with its signature style of tween/teen sitcom and animated series. The former seem to have more clout on the network after the premiere of Lizzie McGuire, solidifying the formula. Similar to OSM, many cartoons were more or less not acknowledged the way they were 10 years before. Since sitcoms dominated because they were faster and cheaper to make, it seemed that the outcome was better. Over the course of the period (c. 2002-2008) they released the smallest selection of DC cartoons ever while the sitcoms got more and more press. It’s unclear what Disney was going to do next, but soon summer of 2007 came along...
PART 3: Gotta Make Summer Last
Disney Channel aired the premiere of High School Musical 2 and decided to air the first episode of PaF afterwards. As a result HSM 2 netted 17.6 million views and PaF 10.8 million views. We could easily deduce that eager HSM fans made up the clout of viewers, but that’s not to say the show couldn’t prove interesting to viewers anyway. In fact, Disney delayed its original 2007 release in the US to release it in February in multiple countries. Places such as Latin America, Brazil, Japan, France and Portugal got to experience the show right along with us. International promotion was rolled out which only netted PaF even more press. It became one of Japan’s most popular Western cartoons, it got wild promotion in Latin America and most of Europe(all around) made excellent dubs and gave it the lion’s share of time slots. This was a pretty good outcome all things considered.
Thus the cycle began. First came DVDs and games, then came interviews and guest spots, than movies, Disney park attractions, live events and then omnipresence.... scratch that last one, but you get the idea. The TV Movie itself was more or less the peak of the show. It remains the 10th most watched DCOM premiere of all time and the show remains one of the longest running animated series of the main Disney networks(DC, XD, and Junior). I think the last time Disney mass merchandised a TV cartoon this much was Lilo and Stitch(last one not already a franchise was Doug or Recess). The show is even part of the Marvel and Star Wars universes(non canonically of course)Even then, Disney elevated the show to new heights. It had everything Disney wanted; likeable protagonists, innocent motifs, enough songs to last for days, episodic adventures, and tons of mass marketing appeal. This simple show connected people across the world(if the Tumblr/DA fandoms for PaF were any indicator)through its mult-faceted music and rudimentary themes. While this show raised the bar, it also left the bar to be raised another notch by...
PART 4: Meet the Man of Mystery
In 2012, Gravity Falls premiered as a sneak peek behind DCOM Let it Shine. While not an instant ratings hit, it quickly became one of the most critically acclaimed Disney TV cartoons of all time. The spotlight quickly began to fade on the smartest stepbrothers around as new episodes were coming infrequently. While the numbers were still big enough to make Teen Titans Go mutter in awed jealousy, it still was becoming less of a force on the main network. However on Disney XD, it was still Adored by the Network. I remember how I felt watching day long marathons several times a month, sometimes without reason. Despite its mass appeal, Phineas and Ferb could be classified easily as a boy targeted program due to the protagonists and the subject matter. Until XD found its groove, they would continue to spam PaF for what felt like eons. To this day, they still occasionally air it in primetime slots.
The way I wrote this last part may sound cynical, jaded, and/or pessimistic. However, it’s written that way to emphasize another point. After the success of this series, Disney went from relying on a few filler shows to releasing a new show basically every year and truly giving them all the promotion they could. While not all series got the treatment we all wanted them to have, a lot more of them have come and gone to try to re-innovate and reinvigorate the brand. Phineas and Ferb (more or less) singlehandedly convinced Disney TV to put more stock in their animation division. Don’t know how many Fallers know this but Disney actually asked Alex Hirsch to make his pilot for them after seeing his work. They were actively seeking out new talent and new stories. Honestly, while Kick Buttowski and Pickle and Peanut got a lot of flac in the day, they were(to an extent) a sign that the House of mouse was trying to experiment and make something they liked to see. The latter especially seemed like a personal pet project of XD’s off sense of humor.
I’m sure the networks would have reinvented their cartoons eventually, but PAF brought it out in the best way.  In a way the boys were kind of dc celebrities in their heyday. When you can summon a bunch of popular characters from the live action sitcoms to dance for possibly hours for a two minute music video in the name of a teal platypus made out of digital ink and pixels, that’s pretty special indeed.
CONCLUSION
Phineas and Ferb is my favorite animated series, explaining why I can info dump mostly from memory as I have in this post. While many have told me that it’s nothing special, to me it stands out as the brightest diamond in the rough and a shining testament to the duality of animation in general. Ten years from now, I hope that I can write better when I must wax sentimentality about my favorite cartoon show. Thanks to the cast, crew, creators, and fans for making summer last. See you at the 20th!

Warner Kids Queer headcanons
Big shock; none of these kids are straight.
In conjunction with Pride month I thought it would be fun to compile some gender/sexuality headcanons for the Warners three specifically in my Family Bonds combination verse. Quick notes for this headcanonverse; it's set during the years 2004-2020 and in a world where the Warner's age.
Enjoy and let me know what you think.
(For the record, I myself am Bi, and cisfemale. By technical definition, I should ID Pan but....the flag colors cause me physical pain so I'm sticking with Bi.)
Yakko
Cismale, bisexual
It has taken this poor kid DECADES to come to terms with his less than hetero self. Like...just SO MUCH internalized homophobia....
Yeah, I love Yax too much not to include a bit of it...In the form of a messy, half drunken make out during some shindig back in Animaniacs days.
Yakko subconsciously stepped down on any feelings towards men choosing instead to heavily focus on ANY attraction he felt toward women to basically ensure no one ever thought he was gay. Being a toon in performance AND on Broadway did not help his push on himself to be okay with being seen as a 'womanizer' cause at least they thought he was straight.
This was primarily an effort to avoid his 'sexual confusion' from causing them to lose the show. At the time, 1993, people were barely comfortable talking about homosexuality period, they ESPECIALLY wouldn't react well to the host of an animated children's program being anything less than straight. And even as he continued to grow a career in the early 2000's. He was forever tied to Warner Brother's Studio AND Animaniacs.
And yes I do have him ultimately married to a woman but this is the 21st century and neither Babs nor Yakko are very...traditional people.
And he is very happily married to this woman....who also thirsted after Max Goof back in the day and now lovingly teases him for having gotten to kiss Max before she ever managed it.
Wakko
Non-binary (he/him & they/them), demi sexual/likes men
Where his brother is more analytical, Wakko took a hands on approach to fully realizing his sexuality and gender identities.
Basically right when he was an adult he was suddenly introduced to a whole world of sex, rock and drugs as a rockstar and finds the parts of it he is down for and not so much. He was down with the drugs, which...does not end great.
The not so much, being flirting or being physically intimate with strangers, acquaintances or really anyone he doesn't consider himself in love with. In fact dating and sex is just difficult for Wakko to enjoy; certainly not as much as people expect him to considering who his brother is. This puts strain on the relationship he is in with Berry while touring and...she ultimately cheats on poor Wakko.
Things get worse from there (spoilers sweetie.) It isn't until he's hit rock bottom that he meets a man named Jesse and begins to recognize the butterflies that everyone told him he should be feeling when you kiss someone, or think about them or are around them.
It's another 10ish years before he figures out he isn't male and comes across the term non-binary. (ngl I want him to hear it from his little niece I think it would be perfect!)
Dot
Cisfemale (she/her), pansexual, non-monogamous
She starts debates with Yakko about bi vs pan, because she is a little shit.
Dot ID's as Pan but hasn't dated or interacted with anyone who wasn't cismale yet.
Dot's romantic history is sordid and juicy. She had a brief relationship with Skippy; he is sweet and romantic but they were in very different places mentally so it didn't work out.
She doesn't think she's Demi like Wakko cause once she finally tried sex, the person didn't seem to matter as much. Surprisingly enough, someone she enjoyed it with the most was Buster Bunny of all people.
During college Dot ended up basically living in 2 cities; school was in LA, holidays were back in NYC where Yakko and Babs were based.
It isn't until she's on set near the end of her degree that she runs into Skippy again and the sparks freaking fly!
All in all, Dot LOVES to be adored and doesn't have a problem with that audience being a bit...bigger than typical. It's taken a lot of work between her and Skippy but they're actually very happy the way they are.
