💥 What is one canon thing that you wish you could change?
If I could change one thing for the canon, I would like something that the third movie could have done better, the way I hear most pandoms used to enjoy, but did later find the plot a bit rushed and had the film become light rather than too dark like KFP 2 did. What I wished to play out in the story was to expand Kai's background story.
Listen. We all know Oogway's story of how he met his yak brother in the war 500 years ago; the two brothers became the most badass warlords who fought battles and bonded their armies together until Kai turned back against him because of Oogway's change and his chi power, he claimed souls for strength, went too close to the sun.
Kai did say to the Jade Palace masters that he loved Oogway like a brother, and he betrayed him. If there's something that the plothole needs to fill, I want to know why did Oogway betray him for? There must be a reason that caused their brotherhood/friendship to fragment during their warlord days before Kai turned evil, and I want to know more!
I wish there was more to reveal that Kai discovered something to steal their chi. And. . . hear me on this one. . .
Kai's jombies steal masters, one by one. 95 minutes weren't enough, and I prefer to have around 2hrs and 30mins, maybe closer to 3hrs (if you are Peter Jackson or Zack Snyder), because the Dragon Warrior is dealing with the unknown beast from the Spirit Realm who took his friends, and his family, building several tensions with a few twists and turns before Po can discover what he can do to defeat Kai the hard way.
There are plenty of fic stories that feature Kai (including mine, too!) and a comic I found. Those books introduce Kai and Oogway during their warlord days and have background stories. I'll reblog with links, and @amateraponzu 's comic fic Wish Upon the Stars on Tumblr.
🏷 (hopefully, this is the tag emote I found) Is there a tag you like to search for when looking for fanfics to read?
Not really. I have yet to search for any fics to catch my eye; I would like to read anything interesting from old fics when I was stuck writing my fanfic series. But of course, reminding me of the tags (stories), I need to catch up with other fics, like @shootbangdang 's The Vale, @mastrrt 's To the Weeping River, and Drags's Mongol fic Winds of Change. All three fics are from FanFiction, and they are worth timing to read!
(Drags! You are the stupendous author, and I must say your fic is well written to see Po, Tigress, and Crane head to Mongolia and grab the secret weapon before anyone gets it! The characters (your OCs too), action scenes, your writing, my lord!)
While I am having a break from writing a sequel book for now, only to start editing my two novels, I highly recommend reading Drags's fic first, Righteous Flame. That goes for all pandoms! His book is stellar.
🥳 Why did you start writing fanfic?
There are reasons why I started a fic. I wanted to start writing because it's part of my hobby. Not only a hobby that I would like to be an author of someday (if I could make my own Narnia/Lord of the Rings/Game of Thrones worldbuilding with my polar bear character), I write for those who I love and friendships irl. Friends of mine who I am with from high school and Wing Chun class, and families of mine who I grew up with and raised together.
My first book had me write for my mates and my master from the Wing Chun class. Dedicated to building a kung fu panda fic after I watched KFP 3, I started writing for my real-life companions. It was a rough start to begin there without planning to build a structure (yeah, I was a noob writer), but I could have created layers before I must write. Two years later, I knew where to end my first book. And later on, worldbuilding is the most challenging one for my fic series.
Not a simple task for my fic to name cities, countries, etc., but I'll leave notes on what places have instead of losing puzzle pieces. And trust me, when you plan to write a giant fic, make a plan, build structures with one stone at a time, create vivid characters, and develop tensions. All books should have conflicts featuring a hero and villain. Make your villains play an unfair game! Make your hero's journey and have his struggles to see challenges before achieving success!
Writing is not easy. And it still feels like it, but it rewards you for accomplishments. Even when you finish the book, always edit your first drafts, build some details, and fill in plotholes.
🎬 If a movie or a show were based on your fic, which fic you'd you choose, and who would you fan cast?
A show can be promising for the Mightiest Warriors Series because there are depths and interesting characters to know more about. A movie makes it simple around 2 to 3 hours (depending) for the story, but it might have a few plotholes if my fanfic series would be based on.
Now, I like how you picked my most menacing villain, Mingling. She deserves to have an actress voicing the black bear. Her personality blends with three major characters that I was inspired by, making the most dangerous antagonist so far.

Ahem! How will I like to pick the actress? Her character's favorite color is purple (more like a royal, but I prefer her to go aggressive and extremely menacing, like Lord Shen), so my top picks are. . .
Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister). She can play out the gruesome character who cares for ruling and satisfaction to attempt to succeed in her vengeance. Compared to what she becomes lethal, Cersei loves her brother. No one else but him. With that sibling relationship, I think of Mingling fonding my bovine character Huoju. Lena Headey can play out her villainous role.
Ruth Wilson (Marisa Coulter). Oh my!!! If you have seen her in the show His Dark Materials (based on the trilogy novel), please. . . do not test her! Knowing what she does to love her daughter but lacks her parental type, she's brilliant, ruthless, and daring. Bringing Ruth in will fill my bear's affection for Mingling's only mate Huoju, and to be frank, like I mentioned the bear's revenge, she will not be stopped, despite her hostility and anger did startle a few characters of mine.
Just look at her! Ain't she a beauty? Now, look how gruesome she can be in the show. . .
Despite how serious Ruth Wilson's character is in His Dark Materials, oh boy!! Imagine you are a child, and you see Mrs. Coulter's smile and fierce eyes; she looks right at you before she can scare you. As I said, please, for the love of the heavens, do not test her! Ruth Wilson is perfect for a villain role!

Once upon a time (before covid, when we could go out with no worries)
I went out of my friend's birthday party, to rescue my another wasted friend in the party she was in, bc her mom couldn't see her like that. And I was so worried with her, because she is my baby friend, and she really can't handle drinking too much, and especially strong drinks, which was the case that night, and on top of that, she was with a group of our friends from college, but yk they were not take care of her for real, bc they were wasted as well...so I just went to the other side of the city (I was in a bar that was super close to my house, and went to a place that was 30min away) just to take care of her and to be sure she was fine, and she could go to her house properly, without her mother knowing anything. I just remember that I was worried and wanted to kill her, but I was so happy to see she was fine in the end, just a little bit wasted, but ok. And then, I took her home safely, after a few glasses of water lol (and her mom didn't notice anything, so everything was alright in the end 🙏). I hope this made sense lol I'm writing this super late at night, so...fingers cross lol

the beginning of your problems (what you know now as your first life) started with someone you love, someone who was yours as well as your lovers doom. the person who loved you was called “Cathal”, you were called “Caitir”.
you were not betrothed to this man, but somehow you and he still found comfort in each other’s arms. the man who would soon take you both from this world was called “Seoc”.
Cathal: to my love i present thee with this dagger, this is my gift for your hand in marriage. sweet Caitir forever is all we need, forever is all we shall have.
Caitir: brave Cathal, i shall accept your proposal for marriage.
whilst “entertaining” Cathal in your chambers, you both were too preoccupied to notice someone sneaking in behind you. Seoc waited till both you and Cathal were asleep and then stabbed you both killing you both instantly.
a curse placed on you both would reincarnate you both till such a time as the curse could be broken, but would the cycle end easily or have to be done the hard way.

today, one mild summer day in what we call Vancouver British Columbia in what is known as Canada. you are called YN, your job is wardrobe for actors of a hit tv show. this would be where you would soon re-learn the truth.
the dagger you had received as a proposal present, was sitting as a long time artifact in a museum. you on the other hand were laying out the wardrobe for the 2 gentlemen you were working with that day. the same 2 guys that you worked with well every single day.
you were picking some stuff off the floor completely not paying any attention to your surroundings, Jared (Cathal-present day) had no idea of your past lives either till this moment.
Jared wasnt paying attention to where he was going, he didnt see you. he tripped over your crouched form, instead of falling on his face he grabbed you, pinning you to the ground keeping both of your heads off the ground.
he looks down at you, then the memories came to both you and Jared in flashes slow and fast. but in each memory was the both of you in this exact position. after 10 minutes of just layign there lost in eachothers eyes.
Jared: are you alright? Am I hurting you?
Yn: I'm alright and no your not hurting me. Did you happen to see..
Jared: visions of sorts after we fell ya I did. What does it all mean?
YN: it means I guess we know each other. It seems like we know each other very well. Cathal.
You say as if it was normal for you to call him that.
Jared: it would indeed seem as such Caitir. The question is what the hell happened to us to make us like this.
YN: obviously we have alot to figure out. let’s start with whatever happened to that dagger that i saw...
Jared shrugged helping you off the ground.
Jared: we could check where it all began. up for a trip to cairo?
YN: i guess we don’t have much of a choice if we want to figure out what happened to us... figure us out...
Jared ushers for you to sit beside him as he pulls out his laptop and begins looking for flights. found one on expedia the details were as follows for what was being booked:
one way flight from Vancouver to Cairo expected to take 21hr 41min to arrive
leaving vancouver at 1:20pm fly for 4hr 33min to montreal for a 2hr 12min layover
leaving montreal at 11:05pm (stupid time change) fly for 9hr 30min (over night flight meaning cuddles yay!) to instanbul for a 3hr 5min layover
leaving instanbul at 6:40pm fly for 2hr 20min to arrive finally in cairo for 8:00pm
you look at jared who also adds a hotel near the pyramids for you guys to stay in figuring you wouldn’t want to ruff it.
Jared: before I finish purchasing, I want you to know that whatever we find out in Cairo, it might as well be the biggest discovery of our lives.
Yn: I know but aren't you the least bit scared of what we might find out... I mean it isn't like we can just...
Before you can finish speaking Jensen busts through the door.
Jensen: umm Jared what are you doing and with our wardrobe artist.
Jared: about that ya come sit down buddy there is something we need to well show you.
Jensen sits between you and Jared as he eyes you both very suspiciously.
Jensen: alright what's going on buddy your acting very strangely.
Jared and you both place a hand on either side of Jensen's head willing for the memories you both had just experienced to flow into his mind to see what you both did.
Jensen falls off the couch a few moments later, looking between you and Jared.
Jensen: so what the hell are you...
Jared: we are going to Cairo to figure this out. Cairo is where it all began for us, Cairo is where we will find answers.
Jensen: when does your flight leave?
Jared: tomorrow afternoon. we have to be at the airport for 11am i think... 2 hours before flight leaves for international flights. we still have to pack and talk to Rob and the others to make sure I'm covered to go. That we can figure this out. For the entirety of our lives we have died and come back to find eachother for years now and we just want to figure this out.
Jensen got up and began towards the door.
Jensen: well lets go present this to Rob and the crew. and get set for your time away... it will not help to be unprepared for any of this. if what you showed me is true then you both have alot to discover and im gonna do whatever i can to support you both.
Jared: thanks dude, now YN are you ready for whatever lies ahead of us?
YN: im ready to find out why we have only just remembered all of this now, how many times it has happened and the story behind it of course.

that was how the journey started, after a very long conversation with Rob and the crew, you and Jared were cleared to go on your trip. going to your hotel first checking out and taking your backpack with you.
you and Jared decide that you both should stay at the airport hotel considering it would just be easier. settling into the room, you sit down to make a journal entry. you did this every single day, but today felt like you definitely should document this.
Jared came out of the bathroom to see you sitting on a pillow on the ground with a pen and a notebook. you were writing out your journal, you didn’t see Jared approaching.
Jared came up to you placing a hand on your shoulder.
Jared: what are you doing?
YN: writing in my journal. making sure that whatever happens we can document what the hell we go through on this journey. maybe just maybe one day we can look back on this and realize that this was destined to happen as it has so many other times before.
Jared: look i know its alot to process and believe me i too am having issues processing this but i might have a way to take our minds off it.
you finished the entry, and then closed the book. turning to face Jared smiling.
YN: what did you have in mind?
Jared picks you up and kisses you, fierce are his lips against your own. his arms supporting you as your legs curl round his waist. he tears your shirt from the back as he falls while holding you onto the bed.
the rest of that evening well the next few hours were spent in the bed. Jared now petting your hair speaks.
Jared: that was amazing. definitely took my mind off things.
YN: that was an amazing way to loose my virginity. and i couldn’t have lost it to a better man.
Jared: do you think this happens every time we reincarnate?
You shrugged but stayed right where you were knowing you were comfortable and safe.
YN: no idea but im not ready to move can we just lay like this for the rest of the evening. we can eat in the morning.
Jared: that’s why we got the continental breakfast. plus i think i owe you a new outfit.
You looked to where Jared was pointing.
YN: that’s okay i think i owe you new boxers
jared looks to where you are pointing.
Jared: well we can do some shopping when we get to the airport. gift shops exist for a reason and money is no stranger.
YN: that’s true.
now that you both were settled into bed you both decided to get some rest. it was a long day the next would be, and being on a plane you both would probably sleep anyway.
you both woke up the next morning to a phone call from the front desk, telling you there was breakfast and that we had to be at the airport within the hour for the 2 hour head check in.
you hung up the phone and watched as jared slunk to the shower. you followed cause he looked like he could use a pick me up. after some shower fun and getting dressed into something comfortable for the plane ride.
you both head with your bags to breakfast. eating lots to avoid being too hungry later on, you decide that its time to check out and find the airport shuttle. getting to the airport you both get through check in and security and now its time to kill 2 hours. well that was easy, shopping and playing cards and crib and tic tac toe and buying some jewelry just for fun.
then it was time to board the plane. doing so and the plane took off. you and jared holding hands you resting your head on Jared shoulder. you both cuddle for the flight to montreal planing to take a couples photo and pick up some souveniers along the way.
same thing with instanbul except that flight was an over night so you both mostly took the opportunity to sleep. upon arrival in instanbul you both stretched and looked around and grabbed souveniers boarding the final flight to cairo.
cairo in the evening damn it was gorgeous. just the way things were supposed to be. Upon this their arrival to Cairo, they took a shuttle to their hotel. The entire way there Jared held your hand, walking into the hotel you both go to the desk to check in.
Clerk: checking in?
Jared: yes under Padalecki.
The Clerk types into the computer for a moment and then speaks once more.
Clerk: ah here you are, ah your in one of our exclusive suites. Give me one second to grab your package that goes with it.
You still holding onto the hand of the man you apparently have known for centuries, & just lost your virginity to night before last, made you all the more happier. The clerk a while later places a packet on the counter in front of you both.
Clerk: this has all the information one could possibly need as well as a list of shops near by and when tours leave and some information on local legends.
That caught both yours and Jared's attentions.
Jared: local legends???
Clerk: oh yes, our most popular one is of a High priestess who fell in love with the prince of this region, but they were cursed and murdered for it by his father's advisor who grew jealous of the young lovers. The advisor used the Dagger the young prince had given to the priestess as a token of his affection to murder them in their sleep. He then lied to the prince's father about the whole thing. He was never brought to justice for murdering that young couple. Legend also tells of their curse. In short form, Destiny will reincarnate them for all time till they can somehow break the vicious cycle of reincarnation so they can finally live and die like normal people.
you looked at the clerk, Jared knew you were struck, he was too but you knew what this clerk was saying had to be true.
Jared: is our room key in here?
clerk: yes it is your suite includes a jacuzzi and fabulous egyptian royal inspired decor. as well as complementary royal silk robes. these keys will also get you access to the pool area and the buffet. welcome to the pyramid valley hotel, please enjoy your stay and don’t hesitate to ask questions if you have any.
Jared holding the package walks with you to the elevator, he then turns to you while he continues to hold the bags and the packet.
Jared: are you ok?
YN: no, did you hear that story...
Jared: i know, don’t worry we will explore this more when we get into the room. amongst other things. tonight is all distractions, tomorrow we are gonna start checking this out. starting with this legend, then checking out where me and you back then would have been.
you nod as Jared and you final approach to your room. once there you and Jared walk in and are instantly amazed by the sight of this room.
jared closes the door behind you locking it before putting down the packet and the bags he was holding as he came up behind you.
YN: is it distraction time?
Jared: its distraction time as long as we need...
thats when he started kissing your neck and that was the night. that began the trip of your life.
- after a very very passionate time in bed you both woke at noon the next day. it was time to make the start to your day.
-you didnt want to move, Jared grabbed his laptop to do some research, he had put the packet with his laptop so it was all in one swoop. as he kinda sat against the head board and you were still kinda curled but kinda propped.
Jared and you make note of several locations to check out during your trip. this included the sphynx, the giza necropolis and a few more places.
Jared: what do we want to check out first?
YN: the museum. maybe we can find some clues there first.
~thats exactly what you did, you both got dressed and hit the museum. you both walked in and found out that the museum director who was kind enough to speak with you both was a firm believer in what you both had told him. he decided to show you some of the stuff that had been taken from both of your areas. this was to include the dagger. yes you had found the dagger. now the last thing that he told you both was that the dagger had to be taken to the spot where it all first started and you had to plea to the triple goddess, she would grant the curse to be lifted and reveal who Soec is to you in modern day. you both got the location of the original incident from him and decided to go into the halloween costume shop and grab the egyptian outfits. making sure to bring them with you both when you would go the next day to this place that will hopefully end your curse once and for all. Waking up bright and early the next day you both rent an atv to get you both to the sight. A little cavern within one of the pyramids there was no way in there except for this one entrance. It was sealed when you both arrived. But unlocked when both your hands touched the door. Must have been sealed with some pretty powerful stuff. Going inside you both saw what seemed to be a cavern which had been untouched by dust or anything for centuries or eons if you will. It would soon be your greatest feat. But Jared held the torch in one hand, your hand in his other and you carried the bag on your shoulder. Looking at the surrounding architecture, you both made sure you were safe but this seemed very very familiar to both of you, it was like a secret passage or something. We head back to the story now with a conversation between you and Jared.~
Jared: I know there is something bothering you. Is it the feeling of being in here.
YN: yes it is… Something isn't quite right about any of this. That dude at the museum seemed a little too excited about all of this. But you know what, as long as we figure this out and stop this curse normal is what we shall be eternally, or ya know as long as normal lasts.
Jared: whatever happens in here know that this will not change how I feel about you.
Yn: nor I about… Holy shit… Jared look!
You point ahead and Jared looks where you are pointing seeing the gold architecture turn into columns and statues of anubis and then blood on an alter shaped bed, with a canopy draped over.
YN: this has to be the place. The blood, the hole in the canopy. Don't touch anything yet we need to change into our outfits.
You and Jared careful not to touch anything get changed. Then you pull out the book and place it where it looks like it went. Suddenly the room shook.
Jared: what's happening?
YN: I think it's time for us to call on the triple goddess.
Jared: well whatever we do we should do it quickly…
you went over to the book, and opened it to a marked page, you brought it to the bed and sat beside Jared, both of you now finding it easy to read the arabic pages.

This podfic is a road-trip standby for me and my Destiel-shipping wife.

"Elena is a street-level superhero. A visit from an old enemy forces her to step up and see what she might have to do with the Sidhe who invaded and were sent away twenty years ago. In addition to encouraging me to try out AUs, podfic also encourages me to try out rarepairs--I wouldn't have thought to look for fic about these characters, but I'm so glad I stumbled across & listened to this one.

"There are a few things Sirius really didn't count on for Christmas of 1979. The extreme sexual confusion is one of them; Remus Lupin is approximately seventy-eight of the rest." There’s a full-on, sensory vividness to the imagery and descriptions in montparnasse's writing, and LISTENING to those words makes the experience even more immersive.
Splendid Night - Katie Forsythe, read by heuristicdevice - 14k, 1hr 30min, M, Holmes/Watson
"A Christmasy spin on MILV with a heart-warming dose of H/W." So much miscommunication! I love this fic so hard, and I ESPECIALLY love the podfic. Heuristic Device’s rendering of “now, please,” in a Certain Scene is both quiet and full of feeling, while other sections of the story are infused with audible humor, excitement, and heartbreak, each as they’re called for.

Another one I might have missed (due to personal impatience) if not for the miracle of podfic! i am incredibly sad that i only have like, 1 extra adderall left (i may have to find somewhere to buy more from, since i only get like, enough for the month with my prescription, the only reason i had extras this month is bc it took a week for me to be able to get my prescription filled, so i literally had to go a week w/o adderall and i don’t wanna do that again, ever, it was hell, esp bc i ran out of sudafed, too, that week) bc holy fucking shit am i awake. i’m getting so much done. i took a shower and then highlighted all of the units in my script, which is usually hard to focus on bc it’s so dull, and i got another 15 units done, so i’ve only got like 30 left and i’m still wide awake and focused AF. like, i’m p sure that colors have smells, but also, like, the world is so intense and amazing. i feel fucking fantastic. i kinda wanna go skydiving, but like, not until i get my hw done, ya know?
but i’ve got 30 more units to do, then i’ve gotta make a graph, but after that, i’m done with the project and can move on. depending on how i feel/what time it is when i get that done (bc if it’s past 3:30/4a, i can’t sleep, i’ve got to stay up bc if not, i won’t wake up in time for class, but also, if i still feel this awake, then there’s rly no point to sleeping bc i won’t be able to, anyway) i might sleep, or i might start working on my playwriting assignment (bc that’s due mon @ 2p and i’ve got to write 6 1-min monologues for my characters) and watch the first 30min of shrek: the musical (bc i gotta have that done by fri @ 9a bc we’re watching it in class and that’s where we’re picking up at since the audio wouldn’t work in class, so it’s hw to watch the first 30 of it, but we can watch all of it, if we want, idk if i will, i’ve got too much to do and if i watch all of it, then there’ll be no point of going to class bc i hate rewatching things bc i’ve got a damn near eidetic memory for movies/books and certain other things, depending on how much i’m paying attention, but almost always books/movies unless i find them boring and don’t care abt them, so it would be stupid to watch all of it and then be bored in class), then maybe read some of after the fall (the script i’m pulling my monologue from for acting i) and do the assignment that goes with that (bc it’s due tues @ 9:30a). after that i should do my therapy hw (we’re still working on stuck points and i’ve got like, 5 more sheets, maybe more, to fill out) bc that’ll be due at my next counselling appt, which i think is next week, i’ll have to call them, but it’ll take abt an hour and it’ll emotionally drain me.
i think that’s abt it for hw, tho, but all of that’ll take roughly 9 hours, which means i def won’t be able to do it all tonight, but i can get most of it done if i don’t sleep, which means i’ll have more time for sleep/writing/literally everything else on the weekend. i might even be lucky enough to be able to get drunk. maybe. i’d have to start drinking at like, 3p and stop at like, 6p for it to all be out of my system so i can get to bed by 2/3a. so that’s a maybe. but a nice maybe.
ofc, i’ve got non hw stuff to do, too. i’ve got to make a list of roommate requirements so i can start looking for a new one (i’ve also got to talk to goldilocks to see when she plans to move out, bc like hell am i moving out, all the bills except her half of the lease are in my name and most of the furniture (aside from her personal stuff and the coffee table) is mine and i don’t want to have to move ALL of it out and into a new place, plus it’s her decision to not be roommates, so it’s on her, not me, and i won’t budge, not this time). then i’ve got to get my study/organization binder made so things’ll be easier to keep track of. i’ve got to do some cleaning (taking out the trash, cleaning up my side of the living room (we didn’t divide it, it’s just where the couches are so we stick to our couches most of the time) and the coffee table). then laundry, gotta do laundry, i’m almost out of socks.
ofc, i might have to start on my part of the second part of the group project. i wanna design costumes for the play, if neither of the others is doing that, which i hope they aren’t, bc i don’t know enough abt any of the other elements of production to do something else. but if i have to, i can try to do sound, maybe, that’s my second choice. so, i may have to start on that this weekend. i’ll talk to hurricane bianca and tim the toolman taylor and see what they’re doing for it probs on fri if not tomorrow at rehearsal. then i can start on my part and get it finished ahead of time to prove i’m capable, when i’ve got my shit together and am not having a breakdown every week. then, after i talk to prof j abt what i’m supposed to do for the show (something with finding times for freeze frames and spotlights, which is fun, but i’m worried my comdic timing isn’t the same as everyone else’s bc i’m autistic, so my sense of humor is a bit skewed, ya know? but anyway, prof j specifically told goldilocks (who is stage manager, i’m one of two assistant stage managers) to have me do it, so i’m afraid i’m being set up to fail bc i know nothing abt theatre, rly, and i’m always paranoid abt these things, but i’m also kinda thinking it might be bc she actually thinks i can do it, which sounds unrealistic, but she’s not a mean person, so i’m willing to bet it’s that one. but i need to ask her what all she needs me to do, bc goldilocks has no clue, which was so fucking helpful, what a great stage manager she is (no, srsly, idk if i bitched abt this earlier or not, but she’s absolutely horrible at this shit so far and i can’t stand working under her bc i hate working under incompetent ppl bc i feel it makes me look incompetent, too, if the job isn’t done right, even if it’s not my fault bc i wasn’t in charge and i’m always, always terrified to look stupid or incapable in the eyes of others). so, i’ve got to ask prof j abt what all i need to do bc i’m p sure the advice given to me by the lighting tech (who is apparently a decent stage manager, tho i doubt it, truly, she doesn’t have the personality for it, she’s too pushy and it makes her hard to work with, but that might just be bc i don’t like her as a person, so i’m reserving judgement until i see her in the position) is wrong bc it makes no sense, is way too hard, doesn’t actually help with anything and gives me a headache (bc mapping out the goddamn blocking is impossible when the actors do diff things every fucking night, wtf??? do the same shit, you assholes! but it’s also useless bc it doesn’t tell anyone where the spotlights/freeze frames should be, and blocking isn’t my job, it’s the other asm’s (who i don’t have a nickname for, but will probs have before the end of rehearsal) so why she’s not doing it, idk???) so i’ll ask tomorrow.
so, i’m looking at 9 hours hw now, then 30 min of cleaning, 3 hours of other paperwork shit, and potentially 4 hours of hw and 2 hours of theatre stuff this weekend. which means i can get at least 10 hours of sleep per night and get some writing done, if i finish most of my hw now. i think that’s worth one sleepless night. it rly is. so, here’s to hoping for at least one day off this week.
but if i don’t sleep, i’ll probs crash after rehearsal tomorrow night, unless i can convince my friends to come over and hang out, since they won’t be here this weekend and i kinda need their help making the roommate requirement list bc otherwise it’s just gonna be like ‘can’t leave time on the microwave after they’re done using it’ and ‘must know how to use headphones when others are studying in the living room’ and ‘must not whine when i want to stay in my room and do work instead of being around them 24/7′ (tho, goldilocks doesn’t spend much time with me anymore, which is fine, i guess, but it’s a complete 180 from what she used to do and honestly, i’m offended bc i caved and started staying in the living room and now it just feels weird not being in the living room and idk what to do abt any of this). i need real things, too, like, big concerns that i’ll forget abt when writing it, and i need to know if my requirements are petty or things that aren’t specific to most ppl, just goldilocks. and it’d be nice to hang out with them and shit.
anyway, this is rly long and rambly, but i rly need to vent all of this shit somewhere, it helps me sort my brain out. i don’t actually expect anyone to read it and you can always blacklist my personal tag ‘iz says stuff’ if you don’t want this shit on your dash. but if you do read them, then you’re always welcome to come to my inbox and be like ‘quit bitching and get back to work, dumbass’ or something.

Daily Entry #32 (27/03/2021)
I pulled an all-nighter last night calling my friends. By the time Daddy texted me around 4:30am, I was still on a call with them. I saw an incoming call from him & picked up (after muting my friends & turning off my camera) as I love talking to Daddy. We ended up calling for about an hour as he drove to the farm - I stayed on the call with my friends the entire time, just muted & all. When Daddy called me, he noticed that I wasn’t wearing my choker and asked me about it. I admitted that I’d worn it up till the moment I started calling my friends, and that I’d taken it off because I didn’t want them to ask me why I was wearing a choker to sleep. The moment he said that, I went to get it & put it on as Daddy genuinely means the world to me. He is my world. So I don’t want him to think otherwise by not wearing the choker.

National Day of Writing
So I managed to find time to write for national day of writing! For anyone who hasn’t seen the posts going around its basically a challenge for October 20th to write non-stop for 30min and to post your result! You can edit if you like, not everyone is comfortable posting work that’s unedited and that’s ok! Just tag it - ndow challenge - so that disgruntledturtle can find it!
I didn’t edit mine afterwards though I changed a couple sentences and words as I wrote. I went a couple minutes over just cuz I got interrupted by the phone but I got 550 words in! So here’s my work, it is horror for Halloween so if you’re not a fan of gore or injury or evil creatures that lurk in the night maybe skip this! Please tell me if it creeps you out or scares you! I’m trying to branch into horror and would love love love feedback!
I was dragged out of bed by something with long cold fingers and no discernible body. Thrashing, I reached out for anything to ground me. My fingers clawed at the floorboards and I braced myself for impact as my body slid uncontrollably fast towards the stairs. Each step dug its way into my back as I tumbled down.
The creature never lost its grip on me. It took me out into the cold, allowing the icy path to cut into the skin of my arms and cheeks. “Stop.” My voice wavered from panic and the drop in temperature. “Please. Please.”
Sharp nails dug into me, and blood painted the snow scarlet. I squirmed, feeling the sting of pain travel up my limbs.
The woods were coming up fast ahead. I screamed and threw a stick where I expected the body to be. For a moment I was no longer being dragged. It could have been dead, but it wasn’t. The creature released my legs and I felt the same bony fingers clench around my neck. A choking sound escaped my throat and the pressure of it’s hold only increased. Black spots began to dot my vision and then I was being towed away again. The air from my lungs escaped like smoke into the winter night.
I was shivering, and red stains were smeared across my body; I had been pulled through my own wet pool of blood. My body’s struggle ended. I lay still, nothing but a plank of wood. It didn’t make it harder. The creature’s speed grew faster and low branches of shrubbery caught in my hair. I was yanked forward harder and untangled again.
I felt the water before I saw it. The fluid flooded my cuts and a scream tour through me before the pain registered. It soaked through my clothes and weighed me down. Hands clenched a bundle of my hair and forced me under.
Instinct pushed me upwards. I choked out a bit of water before I was brought below again. The hands released me. My arms swung wildly, pushing a path through the pond to reach the surface. I hit something hard. Looking up, sheets of ice began to formulate from one shore to the other.
With my heart hammering in my lungs, I frantically swatted water aside. But the cold was immobilizing. I lost energy fast and sunk even faster. My lungs burned with fury and pond water.
I couldn’t see the surface.
A hand reached out and tugged on my arm. It felt the same as the other’s but smaller. Another tugged at my bottom lip, it’s skeletal finger reaching inside my mouth and poking against my front teeth. I squirmed and whimpered and more water spilled down my trachea.
More hands gripped and pulled and scratched at me. Tiny hands, with tiny fingers.
Teeth ripped into my thighs and bit off the ends of my fingers. I kicked and pulled away numb all over.
I lost all feeling in my left arm and sight in one of my eyes.
Something whispered close and quiet in my ear, “thank you for a most gracious feast.” Then the hand that belonged to the creature that brought me here gripped me one more time, and I felt strong jaws around my neck.

i made tiramisu today- it was initially stressful because my first attempt at whipping the heavy cream with the handmixer curdled the cream. it became a lumpy mess that had to be thrown out despite my attempts to salvage it by adding in the remainder of the fresh cream, chilling the bowl and the whisk, and whisking it by hands. my valiant attempts had come to nought, and it was a $10 down the drain. sadly.
i had to rope in the help of my bro and mum to procure more heavy cream for my second attempt. it was pretty stressful, knowing that another failure meant almost no chance of getting more cream (another trip to the cold storage would have received unlikely acceptance from my mum), and the price tag of another $10, on top of the $20 wasted. ok so i had to make this work. i watched multiple youtube videos, stuck my whisk in the freezer, made more ice for an ice bath, chilled a new metal bowl, and waited for the fresh cream to arrive. then i enlisted the help of my maid with the whisking by hand, since it was utterly arduous manual labour. i wasn't confident it would work, seeing the cream barely thicken after 3 minutes (the videos said 2minutes of whisking by hand would suffice). finally, after about 6 minutes, everything came together and the peaks were successfully formed.
once done, i scrambled to assemble the tiramisu, anxious that the cream would deflate or that something else wrong might happen. thank goodness everything went well and i managed to complete the tiramisu successfully! hehe. it turned out legit-looking as well.
finally, after what was 3 hours, we were done with the tiramisu. thanks to the help of my maid, my mum and my bro. in my complacency i actually thought it would take 30min but i guess we can never foresee life’s detours, and honestly the unfamiliarity with the recipe does slowdown my progress.
we then all sat down to a fulfilling dinner, and i was happy to have great conversations with my fam and hearty food. only they- my bro n sis- relate to my brand of humour LOL. tends to be part imaginative, part snarky/ sarcastic and sometimes dry. we had wine and turkey and fantastic satay and sautéed vegetables with a side of beehoon. there was more than enough to go around. later we ate tang yuan with beancurd too cos it was apparently tuan yuan day or smth. perfect.
after dinner, i went back to my room to buy christmas presents for marisa and lina, and rush out writing my cards for everyone. when i passed out the presents to my bro, first, then to my dad, my mum, my sis and maid, i was astonished at how happy they were and so glad they were appreciative of all the presents and said it was thoughtful and they would use it hehe. first my bro was stunned and surprised that i would have thought of hand cream for the winters, both of us knowing he wouldn't buy it. then my dad was overjoyed with the nike cap i got him, saying he would definitely use it. lol. and my mum opened her present later, but came to me and said that omg you know i have been using the aromatherapy pillow sprays to sleep every night since you got me, and i rly need it to sleep better now lol. so yep my sis liked her present too! which was a charm from pandora.
anyhow, family is forever and I'm so glad and thankful for them by my side, and so thankful to see them so happy too!! to give is indeed better than to receive :D my heart is full. and of cos they have been giving so faithfully and selflessly to me all along- my bro by giving in to me with the toilet, my mum by buying me food even tho its out of her way, my dad in always providing for me and bringing me on trips, my sis for helping me with interviews, and life advice, and my maid for always helping me.honestly they've been giving me far more than i deserve and can never be thankful enough for.
the end. i never even bothered using my phone today- life has just been so fulfilling hehe.
on another note malcolm met me ytd! i went to buy presents aft work so took the 7.45 shuttle back and as i was waiting for the shuttle, he came up from behind and walked in front of me a little and then turned around to check if it was me lol. i saw him and immediately felt overjoyed- wasn't expecting to see him and was hoping to see him in the morning actually, which didn't happen. anyway, he asked me how my phuket trip was and we immediately launched into conversation. oh yes he also was very v gentlemanly and asked if i needed help with my bags and if i wanted him to carry it for me. so i gave him one but he said just pass him everything so i did hehehehe lol. he's the best rly like such a nice bigger bro. anw he was telling me how he knew about the AM firm i was interviewing at and then i asked abt his brothers in london and he shared the elder one was coming back and stuff. idk it was great talking to him! so fun and interesting and i love how he is so competent and knows all his stuff hehe. he’s rly a great older bro to have... he was telling me some career advice also, as usual. he’s rly so helpful and kind. then later we talked briefly abt his upcoming nz trip before the bus reached our condo then we had to part. will see him again next year i guess!
