"Topiary" by RarissimaAvis
The plants are a relief, he thinks. He makes it a point to focus on them instead as he continues his walk through the castle. He watches out for them, growing in the tenacious and stubborn way that plants do, thriving despite the cold stone they have sunk their roots in.
Sometimes, he wonders if he remembers what colours the plants ought to be. He knows they shouldn’t all be in shades of red and brown, and he thinks perhaps some of them could be blue or purple, but—there are other colours, he knows this just as he knows he should know their names, but he cannot recall what they are. They’re somewhere just out of his reach, somewhere beyond the confines of the castle.

Banished to his cupboard at age 4, Harry learns to listen only to the Voice in his head. Its teachings warp all Harry could have become until no more than dark magic and devotion remains.
Visions of a wraith with red eyes complicate matters, especially when Harry and the Voice follow it to Hogwarts so Master can get his hands on the Philosopher’s stone.
Harry can do magic. He can’t do people.

"Let me go," Harry bit out, but the creature above didn't listen. If Harry weren't so blind, perhaps he could figure out what was attacking him, but the man's head was a pale blur, nothing more than a featureless face upon black.
If he could manoeuvre right, he could manage to get his wand– but it was like his attacker knew his every thought because his wand was halfway across the room before he knew it, clattering uselessly onto the floor. The man hadn't even moved a finger.

Happy Tomarry Big Bang Week!!! 🥳
I feel so luck that I got to do art for two incredible writers this year!!
This first work is by @isalisewrites and is titled Moon Rite. I cannot wait for yall to read this gorgeous story!!
Ten years.
A dance, an endless terrible dance - fighting against Voldemort again and again; Harry had lost count of the battles. A cruel stalemate.
And he'd grown weary.
"It's true," breathed Voldemort. "It's true."
It'd become a ritual between them, a religious rite of which both were driven by their mad orthodox fervor.
Until Voldemort learned the truth: Harry was his horcrux. With a sudden offer of a ceasefire, the decades long war could be over - lives saved and protected - if Harry swore to one agreement: a magically binding marriage contract with Voldemort himself.

“Would you shut it?” Harry finally snapped. He was lying on his bed, reading a textbook for class.
“Oh so he can hear me,” Riddle said. “I was beginning to wonder.”
“Why are you here? I killed you. Are you a ghost?”
“Obviously.”
“Then go haunt someone else.”
Riddle scowled. “I can’t.”
“Sure you can. Why don’t you scare the Dursleys while you’re here? Or go find Draco Malfoy. I bet you could make him scream like a girl.”
“You can’t be this dense. I refuse to believe the boy who defeated me is so oblivious to his surroundings that he hasn’t noticed other people’s reactions to me.”
“What reactions?”
“Exactly.” Riddle stood by Harry’s bed, towering over the other boy. His arms were crossed across his chest which was still clad in a Slytherin uniform. “No one else seems to be able to see me.”

My name is Harry. I have to be completely honest, I’m not exactly sure what to put in this letter. What do you even write to a stranger that you’ve never met before? My friend recommended me to this program and said that I should branch out more. I don’t get out of the house much, so maybe that’s one of the reasons for it. And it’s not that I don’t have a lot of free time, people just tend to exhaust me sometimes.
Is it like that where you are? I can only imagine that it must get overwhelming in there sometimes. Do you get a lot of free time? You mentioned that you liked to read, what books exactly?
I’ve never been that big of a reader personally, even though I work as a freelance writer. Is that hypocritical? I don’t think so, but some people think otherwise.
God, I'm so so late but here is my assignment for 2022 Tomarry BigBang!
