Things I need to see in Willow season 2 (were manifesting it bitches)
I need to see Jade get hurt protecting kit, And then a role reversal where kit has to be soft and take CARE of her (AUGH I’m such a slut for hurt/comfort)
I need kit struggling to figure out how to take off the cuirass, freak out, give up and then Jade figuring out how to close it immediately.
I need to meet Boorman’s mother. They mentioned it twice. It feels like foreshadowing
I’d like to see kit and Eloras friendship still be a little rocky but continue to develop. I don’t want them to so starkly go from hating each other to being besties.
I really wanna see more of the twins relationship because honestly I really didn’t buy Airks character in season 1. I completely forgot the quest was about saving him. So I think if they move away from a romance arc with Elora and instead develop kit and his relationship it’ll make him a much more compelling character to me.
I’d also like to see jade and Airk interact, because I feel like jade has been important enough to kits life that at this point he sees her as another sister. I also feel like their relationship is combative as hell and it’ll be so funny.
I’d kinda like to see kit come out to Airk or Sorsha or both. With Airk it would be a funny moment because he’d be like “yeah no shit. You and Jade are not subtle.” then with Sorsha I really need a moment where Sorsha finally sees kit for who she is and acknowledges it not in a hallucination.
Just the whole dark Graydon arch. I think it’s gonna be so good, but they need to save him because him and Elora are end game. I will be upset if Elora ends up with Airk. Also it sets up a possible redemption arc if they save him and I’m a slut for redemption arc’s.
I need to know if Mims is okay. Because I feel like their foreshadowing a burning of the shire situation but That might be too dark for Disney. it could have also been willows doubt and the crone trying to make him afraid. I do think the burning of the shire is more narratively significant tho.
I need to know what the fuck is up with Grayson’s dad because he’s shady
It would defo be cool to see madmartigan, but I look forward to it specifically for kits reaction. It’s gonna be a gut punch in the best way possible.
BABY JADE FLASHBACK!! I cannot stop thinking about her little red curls 🥺. And maybe more baby kit and Airk on the side.
Moral of the story is I need a season 2. Please Disney. PLEASE!! 🙏

If/when the party gets back to Tir Asleen, the gossip mill is going to be overrun.
The orphan who used to work in the stables? Yeah turns out she’s General Kael’s daughter and she’s a bone reaver.
The orphan who used to work in the kitchens? Yeah, get this, turns out she’s elora friggin danan.
...
If I was an orphan working in Sorsha’s castle I’d be very suspicious about the “regularness” of my identity.

i figured it out!!!
i know we’ve all been wondering why the hell Kit and Airk aren’t at the head table with their mother and the Galladoorn royalty, and i’ve come with good news
this screenshot is the key:
Tumblr media
here we can see Sorsha at the head table with the royals of Galladoorn, but we can also see the two other tables in the hall
at the head of the left table is Kit, and if you zoom in on the person at the head of the right table, you can see their shirt has a very open neckline, so we can assume that to be Airk
i’ve concluded that Sorsha, being the queen, sits at the head table with her guests, while her children sit at the head of each dining table where the rest of the Tir Asleen court are seated
also i imagine that Kit and Airk do sit at the head table usually, for their birthday and other parties, but not when they’re hosting honoured guests in the palace
but it is still bizarre that Kit isn’t sitting at the head table here, considering she’s engaged to one of Tir Asleen’s honoured guests and this is their engagement dinner party

Unbelievable, fucking unbelievable. Willow has sadly been cancelled only after one season. It didn’t deserve this, and it’s so damn unfair. I said it once I will say it again, it wasn’t perfect but it was still amazing. It deserves the 2 other chapters that were teased at the end of episode 8. I have so many unanswered questions about the series and was super excited when I saw this scene. I know this maybe a long shot, but there are shows that have been canceled and saved by fans before and I hope and think we can do the same for Willow. This series deserves more than people are giving it.

Genuine question what’s going on with the Tir Asleen monarchy. As in, what does the line of succession look like? If Sorsha in the Wyrm’s vision is to be believed, Sorsha has been moulding Kit to take the throne, be queen after her. Except its revealed that Airk is the older of the twins, which would usually mean he’s first in line. Yet he doesn’t seem to expect to be king (at least not until he’s possessed/corrupted). He says no one expects anything of him, he doesn’t list being king as one of the things he is intending to do and be in the future. Is he actually first in line? Or is it a maternal monarchy? Have they not decided yet?

Goodbye Willow (for now?)
Alright, so this was the post I was dreading making for a while. But I just decided now is the time to do it.
I recently heard about the news surrounding the show Willow. I'm really sad. To say the least.
Apparently people are saying it's not technically canceled, but it's just going on a hiatus.
I've never heard of many shows to do this, but I am interested in what this could mean for the show's future.
Right now, I'm just sad because I won't get to see my favorite trio on screen for a while. My fantasy lesbians are gone for now. And my girlie Elora Danan. I miss that bad bitch every fucking day.
I am slightly concerned about what the show going on hiatus could mean for it in the future. I really REALLY want to have hope that it will come back. And that it actually gets to continue for a while.
I REMEMBER THAT LAST FUCKING SCENE WITH THE BOOKS ALL NEXT TO EACH OTHER I SAW THOSE VOLUMES I WANT MY SEASON 2 AND 3 PLEASE AND THANK YOU.
Okay, that might be asking too aggressively. Anyway, I guess what I want to say with my voice on here is that I really, really fucking loved this show. I know the show writers probably don't lurk on here, but in the like 0/100000000 percent chance they see this, I need to tell them,
DO NOT GIVE UP ON THIS SHOW.
DO NOT GIVE UP ON THE FANS WHO GENUINELY SEE SO MUCH OF THEMSELVES IN YOUR SHOW.
Because it's 2023, and I'm tired of shows getting treated like this.
And also because people on YouTube are tearing it to filth. And I do NOT want that to be what gets this show cancelled. (calling us woke- I'm just so tired??? it's called just let people live their fucking lives?)
I really, really love the Willow show.
If this is really it though, if this is the end, I just wanted to say all of this. Because I think this show is worth continuing. But if it's all going to lead to disappointment in the end, and it's just another show that gets my hopes up only to crush them for the nth time, then I'm glad I said my piece at least somewhere.
If this is really it and it never comes back, then these are my final words. To all the characters (except for the evil ones, lol), you will be severely missed by me.
I will miss Tanthamore and it will hurt like a bitch. But I'm glad we got them right from the beginning rather than not at all.
I will miss Elora Danan so much, I'm gonna be honest, she was my favorite character.
I'll miss Willow, Thraxus, Graydon and Scorpia. Sorry Airk fans, he was kinda just there for me.
But overall, I'm going to miss the whole damn thing so damn much.
If they never come back, I'll never get to see all of their amazing dynamics with each other and the banter between them all, and just the fantasy of escaping my reality and immersing myself into the adventures with them in this silly fun little fantasy world of Tir Asleen.
And it's also mostly gonna suck not to see major storylines continue if the show doesn't come back. I'll resort to fanfic though for that if that's the case, lol. But yeah, I am really going to miss Willow if this is the end of the journey. I'll hold out hope for now that we get to see our favorite little party come back home, but we'll just never know.
Not knowing for sure is always the worst, am I right.
Well. Before I get too emotional or carried away and think about it too long and get sad, I'm going to end it here.
Thank you for everything, Willow. This show truly means a lot. I'm going to miss it all so, so much. If this is it for the cast, I hope they all find success in the future. They all deserve the world. But someday, I hope we can return to the realm of Tir Asleen, and the adventure can continue. Goodbye (hopefully more like see you soon), Willow.

On thrones and governance:
1. I've said this before, but I think Kit was never expected to inherit the throne of Tir Asleen, it was always going to go to Airk. Whether that is because of gender or because of the order of their birth, I don't know. Kit was going to become princess and then queen of Galladoorn
2. I don't think the monarchies of Galladoorn and Tir Asleen will dissolve because Elora is back. Not just because a slow transition of power is warranted, but because kingdoms can exist within an empire, just like duchies can exist within a kingdom.
2b. If Kit is able to abdicate from her role as princess, it won't be because of Elora Dana becoming empress, it will be because she has no responsibility to Galladoorn (marriage did not happen) and Airk is heir to Tir Asleen

Tir Asleen being a Kingdom is my villain origin story. every monarch we’ve seen/heard of is a woman. Sorsha, Kit, Elora…
“The Queendom of Tir Asleen” just sounds WAY better.

The impression I clearly got from the show is that it is a maternal monarchy, so the first-born daughter is the heir and line of succession continues through the daughters.
That is certainly one of the likely options, and the explanation that makes the most sense as to why Airk, the eldest born of the twins, doesn’t appear to be presented as next in line, if it goes from Bavmorda through Sorsha and on to Kit, the eldest female born. If so, it would have been interesting to see that explored in Airk’s corruption by the Crone; does he harbour any resentment that he has been passed over in favour of his sister, or is he happier without the responsibility and the pressure that comes with it? He seems much freer than Kit, even without all the arranged marriage stuff, but that comes with it’s own downsides - namely, how low he feels everyone’s expectations are of him, how “nothings expected of me”

For some reason, I can just imagine Kit lashing out at Sorsha after she tries to marry her off to someone else since Graydon didn't come back, and like, her saying something like "why do you want to get rid of me so badly". And ANGST
