Currently watching the original Tinkerbell movie. The animation is still beautiful and the soundtrack is magical. It brings back so many memories. The plot has some creative elements as well.

the original story for the Tinkerbell movie was really cool! But I also liked the one we have today.

That's always been a dilemma for me. When deleted concepts for a movie sound good, but I also like the final version of the movie. In an ideal world both would be able to exist.

If you really want to see a movie where the people making it fought an uphill battle the entire time.

Where time constraints and budget constraints and uncaring studio management interfered constantly, and yet against all these odds and without any support a quite decent film was the result.

Where the pretext and concept of the film were decided before writers or other creatives even became involved and it was up to them to make something workable from it.

And they did, they fought and they won.

Because that movie is Tinkerbell from 2008 and by god it is a thousand times a thousand times better than it has any right to be and damn am I impressed by the people who worked on it.
