one of the girls i work with, maybe 2nd-3rd grade, was talking about how she put on 'a little' makeup for school. and then she started talking about how she straightens her hair. and how she has a 7 step hair styling routine. and how her mother bought her hair straightener for christmas.

my coworker and i both looked at eachother and then were like "thats... a lot. you do not need that. youre eight." my coworker asked a great question which was "mom wears makeup at home?" and the kids esponse was an immediate and happy yes.

wearing makeup around kids is actively harming them.
