So a while ago some of my favorite people were making art for an ATLA/LOK-themed swimsuit calendar (which is still in the works) and I decided I wanted to join in the fun. But turns out I don’t know anything about canvas size or image resolution so I can’t actually use my drawing in the calendar. 😅 Which really just means I get to share it early! So yay!

Here’s a little preview. Full image under the cut cuz it’s a little suggestive (shows as much skin as you would expect on a speedo-clad swimsuit model 😏).

Yes I did the background like a Sokka painting, at the urging of my fellow degenerates. And the baby moose lion print on his speedo was inspired by @boomerangguy’s fic Date Night 😜

people talk about how they could have so easily made troy and abed the typical nerd x jock relationship dynamic friend duo and they didn’t, which made it better. which is all true but I think we forget that they didn’t start with really any dynamic in mind for them at all. troy and abed weren’t even originally supposed to be especially close. they built the characters, seperately, then as the show came together they realized how much chemistry the two had (troy and abed AND danny and donald.) their dynamic wrote itself, with almost no pretense or planning, and that’s what makes it so special and unique. that’s why there’s not really any other duo quite like them in any other sitcom, or even any other show/movie. it’s a really strange realization but some of the best things we create are completely unplanned

#originally troy and pierce were supposed to be the ‘unlikely friends’ duo of the group #like a beavis and butthead type duo #and you can see early efforts to make this happen in the pilot #but then in spanish 101 (episode 1x02) they realized how good danny and donald (and subsequently troy and abed) were together #so they took that and ran with it #they talk about all this in the dvd commentaries etc but yeah #I’m so glad they weren’t too rigid in their plans for the characters #because troy and abed really are a big part of what makes community so special #anyway #community #nbc community #community nbc #abed nadir #troy barnes #trobed #troy and abed

seeing people complain about their oaths breaking for slaughtering the goblin camp unprompted and the comments are like "but aren't the goblins evil??? why cant you just kill them????" buddy.... maybe you're just not a very good paladin......

Hi. It's been a hot minute, huh? Here, lemme just drop my Trip rival to Benga from childhood art riiiiiight here!

More seriously, it's such a shame they never interacted!! It would have been really cool!! I can totally see Benga get overly excited to show off his cool (boring ass) rival to everyone!! Trip gets annoyed at Ash being overly enthusiastic and noisy about things... and then his best friend rival pops in and you're like "ah, yeah, checks out". Love that for them.

We don't have much characterization for Benga but I hc that he likes to randomly lift in a big Beware hug people at random. No one can escape Benga's unconditional love.

I've got more art of them coming soon, I just wanted to post the first batch since I haven't posted in a while haha! I'm still alive and STILL BRAINROTTING GOD DAMN IT IT'S NEVER GOING AWAY, IS IT?? LET THEM OUT OF MY BRAIN!!

Hi my name is Morpheus Dream of the Endless and I have long ebony black hair with stardust streaks that sticks up endlessly (that’s how I got my name) and icy blue eyes like limpid tears and a lot of people tell me I look like a wet cat (AN: if you don’t like cats get da hell out of here!). I’m not related to Lucifer Morningstar but I wish I was because she’s a major fucking hottie. I’m not a vampire and I have a normal amount of teeth unlike some people. I have pale white skin. I’m also an Endless, and I live in a magic place called the Dreaming where I’m the King (I’m as old as time). I’m a goth (in case you couldn’t tell) and I wear mostly black. I love Hot Topic and I buy all my clothes from there. For example today I was wearing a black shirt and a black long coat, black skinny jeans and black combat boots. I was wearing depression and the pointlessness of existence and black eyeliner. I was feeding the birds in the park. There was sun and joy which I was very unhappy about. A lot of preps stared at me. I put up my middle finger at them.

i have got to emphasise on the fact that this is huge actually- gay rights in football is something that's just barely discussed. during the world cup in qatar, captains were banned from wearing a one love captain's band because it was too political (it was just a band with a rainbow heart on it), homophobia and racism is practically rooted in the songs sung during matches and there are no out players in the premier league, or more generally, there is only one (1) out player in the top leagues. having a character simply just,, be with another man and also a footballer in the premier league is a huge statement and will hopefully aid in trying to make football a better space.

#i listened to a podcast about why there are no out players in sports last year #and the conclusion was that it had to do with a lot of different factors #among them: the fans #take for example in the netherlands there's a hooligan group that roots for feyenoord. they threatened a fellow supporter who -#- started a supporter's group for lgbt+ fans. and also tried to light the man's place of business on fire #and in an away game to (albania i wanna say??) they brought banners that said they wanted him to die of hiv #mind you this is a FELLOW SUPPORTER #for the same club #and the songs supporters sing are a hell of a lot less tame than in ted lasso #homophobic racist antisemetic or islamophobic chants are just regular business in football matches #and in addition to that: locker room culture!#locker room culture in football and many other sports (with the men mostly) is toxic as hell!#there have been some efforts to try and nip this in the bud with trainings and seminars on diversity being given at youth clubs #but it's an issue in society as a whole that a lot of young men are just homophobic as FUCK #and i mean having a character on an acclaimed and popular show on tv/streaming right now could have a huge impact #esp on all the young ppl who'll see this thru fk tiktok and whatnot #im just really excited for what this will bring. and i hope it might do some good in football as a whole #ted lasso #colin hughes #ted lasso season 3

I’ve decided that if AE1 is anything less than excellent, I’m calling it quits with being an active K-pop consumer once and for all. Not bc I’m an annoying akgae that hates everyone else in the industry or whatnot, I’m just done with the constant disappointments and bad news and mismanagement that happens to pretty much every group, and extremely frequently to the three of my faves. I’ve tried getting into other groups but I haven’t found any that appealed to my specific tastes and standards AND have non-frustrating management. I’ve constantly make posts such as “[K-pop group with immense but unexplored potential] x [extremely talented non K-pop musician who takes the risks K-pop companies should] collab when?” for a good while. If all these artists outside of K-pop are giving me what I truly need and if I know my fave groups’ companies are gonna let me down pretty much every single time, what’s the point?

the burnout is real lads . . . . .

#which is to say that i came home and just stared at the wall for roughly 2 hours instead of completing my documents #it was at least validating to get to talk to one of my coworkers today #and hear that they're just as burnt out as i am #and usually have to sit in the parking lot for 4 to 5 minutes before they come in because they just don't want to be here that badly #and it feels hard to admit because this is typically thought of as a passion driven profession #and it's like #neither of us have lost the passion for it???#it's not that we hate our jobs #it's just that we both feel like. we're putting in increasingly more effort week by week but we're just.#no longer getting results.#i mentioned how i feel like my faith in my ability to do this kind of work has just plummeted to zero #not at all helped by my mentor constantly pushing me to go faster and faster but then getting mad when my presentations go poorly #because i went faster or reduced the amount of material or cut the Q and A section down 10 minutes #i just feel . . . . . tired . . . . . . . . . . .#i still need to write three planning documents for tonight #one of which needs to be Really Good because my direct supervisor will be looking at it #but my god #i just want to sleep for three days straight and then stare at a wall for another three #i'm so close to the end though . . . . .#just another 15 of these documents (including the three from tonight) and that about covers my internship #of course then there's also the seminar work and the group project and all the fancy official employment documents #and. the portfolio project (a man screams in agony)#but god . . . . . . . .#so close . . . . . . . .#so close . . . . . .#once i'm free from the portfolio it's back to zola work and THEN . . . . . . . . . .#i can finally have a substantial mental health break for the first time since last may ;;; _____ ;;;

Found a very cool pastel cat sweater at the bins but I have literally nothing that matches it well, so I always struggle to make outfits with it lol

#ootd #pastel #I really really want to SELL CLOTHES I keep talking about selling clothes.. its just such a process..hhhhhhh #Because you have to take pictures. edit the pictures. list them somewhere. write descriptions. choose a price. advertise the fact you listed #it somewhere. Repeat with literally hundreds of items (since I get bulk clothes at the bins and etc.). I have a lot of cool stuff that I thi #nk people into similar styles would want to buy. and I always need money to fund art and healthcare expenses and eventually moving to a diff #erent place someday. replacing broken electronics. etc. etc. So a wise decision is 'well sell a lot of the old clothes you have'. It is so #difficutl with my specific functioning issues though since it's such a long process and also packing things up. taking them to the post offi #ce etc. takes timing since I always have to be driven by roomates and stuff. etc. etc.#I think the way I was considering getting around this was to sell clothing in 'packs' like.. A pack of 5 or 6 matching items the same shade #of pink. or all green items with flowers so it's the same 'nature theme'. Or even selling full outfits or something. so that way I can kind #of bundle items. Instead of the effort of photograohing and listing literally 50 individual items. Turn them into 5 packs of 10. Or 10 packs #of 5. etc. ? But I think I never got too far with that because I was uncertain how that'd actually go over in terms of whether people would #buy groups of items instead of just individual. Especially whole outfits or something like. I think you'd get a wider audience giving people #more individual choice to choose seperate things instead of putting them together and going 'this is just what you get' or etc.#but I could also see it being cool. You already have some guaranteed stuff that matches. They have a theme. Especially if it's something you #like. Love brown themed mori kei items? here's 5 of them already together. etc. etc. etc.#ANYWAY. Came to mind because as much as I love anything with cats on it that's a light color. I also am chronically warm natured due to my #health issues so I overheat immensely if I wear sweaters. even in the winter I don't wear that many layers lol. So a sweater like this is ju #st impratical for me outside of taking one or two outfit photos with it. but I don't think I could ever actually wear it even if I really wa #nt to. But it's nice! and very cool!! so a good candidtate for selling. I feel so bad for zephyr, what are some of her happiest memories? Would it be first meeting the members of her local group? I assume they would be built after her, was she excited about them being built or was she not informed at all?

she wouldn't be very... Present. most likely hadn't managed to be there for every Iterator when they first came online. she is very removed from most of her group because she's unable to stick in the chats for too long with all the damage and her endless attempts to conserve herself as much as possible, so her interactions with others outside of the Anemoi (and this one guy called Orion's Pathway) are extremely limited

Boreas, though, ever the life-saver, updates her on any new Iterator projects being build, how are the already existing ones doing- see she is kind of hard to cheer up and as a rule she never really laughs, but oh hearing about successes of others always manages to make her happy. that has been a thing for her since day one!

so Boreas would make a list of the Eo group's achievements with Euros and Orion's help and he'd read them out for her during their routine calls. those calls are probably one of her happiest memories, since she got so much serotonin and motivation out of hearing about her family (n also just in general- their start might've been rocky but Zeph n B really really love each other [platonically ofc])

they might not Know her, only be aware that their senior is called Abet Zephyr and her appearances are strangely rare, but she loves them all. if she hadn't, it wouldn't be called Mission Self-preservation. it'd be way more revenge focused. her number one priority is the safety of her family even if she doesn't know them personally. she puts them above her anger, physical and emotional trauma cuz she just fuckin loves them that much

her other happy memories include some stuff with Sparrows! after Zephyr allows her opinion about the Ancients develop, she finds herself glad whenever Sparrows would show up to do some more repairs and spend some time with the old humidifier. jgklsdmclk just like with a grandma, Sparrows would show her some stuff on her phone/Mechanic's watch and Zeph would be confused about it but she gets to spend the time with someone she likes so it's okay

along with Euros on a call the three of them would sing folk songs from Sparrows' home with Boreas usually listening in, very rarely joining in

Zephyr wasn't given overseers until Sparrows showed up for the first time, too, so when she synced with the eyes and took a peak outside for the first time in her life, that was... that stuck with her as a strong memory, too. can't exactly say it was a Happy memory, but only cuz there was so much happening in her emotionally in that moment that simplifying it to a singular one wouldn't really represent it right

her antennas are broken- that's why they are always down like that- but Dammit she is Happy we Gotta wiggle 'em at least a wee bit

#Spot says stuff #rw #oc tag #oc: abet zephyr #Sparrows kinda sucks with the organical aspects of the iterators but she did her best to fix up Zephyrs spine too!#so having That portion of the pains elevated at least a little was also a great moment for her. it still sometimes give up n stops working-#-n it hurts again but thanks to that effort from Sparru its at least not a constant thing anymore #every time i think about off the string au with the eo group i think about boreas n zephyr finding each other and then boreas helps her get #-to everyone else to an agreed upon meeting point and then all the Anemoi see each other and euros notos n haboob then run at them and-#-hug the two fiercely.. and zephyr Actually starts laughing and doing her best to hug them all back- shes all clumsy about it but trying-#-So hard. and then she puts her hands on euros' shoulders and fully excited tells him 'euros- oh-! now that we are here free like this you-#-really have to teach me how to dance and play! you know..? just like Sparrows and her family used to!"#and for a second he pauses cuz oh that Hurts to remember they are gone but then he puts a hand over one of hers and with a little shaky-#-voice- but Warm so happy- he tells her ''y-yeah.. yeah of course i will- gods... i cant believe you still remember them.....' n he hangs-#-his head n all that... and zeph smiles n presses her forehead against his head n whispers to him 'of course i do. they were family.'
