yknow at this point i have drawn so many images i can draw pretty fast now. i think that's the best outcome after years of tormenting over how slow of an artist i was. mainly bc i really had no idea what i was doing, so i would spend HOURS on just a full-body character design or something of the like. of course all the practice and time spent studying anatomy or color makes things easy now (also obsession but we already know about all that)

i think its hard to learn that not all your art is precious and by that i mean of course u cant create masterpieces in a day and shouldnt torment over not being able to get something right the first time. the silly doodles all count towards something. i joke about having perpetual wips but i think my favorite thing is saving past ideas and reworking them later just to see how they changed. bc art, like people, is so dynamic. constantly changing.

and the best feeling is making the art u imagined years ago come to life or you get a bit closer to producing the work that you saw in your head. mmmmm growth.

i switch between my two special interests (?) every few months and i hate that i lose complete interest in one when i get into the other

so i, being super smart genius man i am, thought ‘hmm maybe theres a way to combine the two’

but i thought about it a bit more and i realized that they’re for two completely different audiences and they’re completely different pieces of media

one is an otome dating game about falling in love with demons and angels and one sorcerer while going to a school in hell and it’s mainly marketed towards tween girls

the other is a dnd podcast about four dads isekai’d into a magical fantasy world trying to rescue their sons and get back home and has themes of fatherhood, specifically relationships between father and son. this is mainly marketed towards older dnd nerds

tbh i dont think their audiences overlap that much

and there’s probably some way that i could interconnect the two in some way but idk :(

Firm believer that if it weren't for Sonic, Eggman would be dead and the cause of it none other than Tails and his bombs. (and yes I know about WWMH, this post ain't about that)

Just out of principle that Tails is chaotic good right? In Tails Adventure he saw a flock of birds stealing an emerald with evil plans following (forgive me I know very little of this game exept that they all died) and this lill fella wasted no time in blowing them all up, doing the right thing but uh, catching a feew bodies in the process.

Just the mental image of Sonic being like "huh, hadn't seen Eggman scheming for a while, this is probably bad news.." and than there comes this random 4 year old saying that he "no longer has to worry about that guy."

XIAOOOO oh my god i genuinely think that even up until today, the chasm arc was the most shaken ive EVER felt for any story moment in the game. after that cutscene with him i literally had to stand up and take a walk for 10mins to calm myself down bc i was SOBBING 😭

i think his development is Beautiful and i love how slow it is if that makes sense?? even by the end of the chasm arc he hasnt done a complete 180, but hes making a start to get better n taking that first step forward, and i just love that. i wanna give him a hug so bad n tell him that im so proud of him. hes a very carefully and beautifully written character. writing a character with years long of trauma and self sacrificial tendencies that they need to learn how to heal from can be tricky, but i love his arc so much :( i cant wait to see him again to see how far hes come

his arc (along w/ ganyu’s) actually gave me a LOT of inspiration for xue yin (my oc w/ ayato), bc an overarching theme for the illuminated beasts is them learning how to find new purposes in life beyond their thousand-years long duties n contracts that r done n they dont need to do anymore. i hold every adeptus n yaksha in liyue in my arms. xiao is like a brother to me who im really proud of TT💚
