sometimes i remember that gojo wanted to tell geto “we’ll meet again, right?” just before he died but forced himself not to knowing it would have cursed him and then i start thinking about how kind and thoughtful gojo is as a character and how he hasn’t been able to lean on another human being since geto defected and then i want to . Scream

#like. there’s something almost helpless about that question. because gojo doesn’t *know* the answer…. he’s asking for reassurance #he wants to know if they’ll ever meet again even though deep down he knows the answer #and it’s so… bare? so vulnerable.#if he had voiced it that would’ve been the first time in TEN YEARS that gojo truly bared his heart to someone and asked for help #but he knew it would turn into a curse and so he gulped the words back down. :((#gojo is such a sincerely kind and thoughtful character and it breaks my heart that sooo many people in the fandom can’t see that 😭#he isn’t a saint and he definitely isn’t selfless but above all else his goal as a human being is to make sure no one ever feels alone.#that no one has their youth taken away from them….. that everyone gets a Choice in how to live their life :(((( it’s so important to him.#i just genuinely don’t understand ppl who insist that he’s morally gray ….. gojo is a consistently Good person and that never changes #he wants to have fun and laugh and he wants his students to enjoy their youth. he wants them to think he’s cool.#he’s the big brother slash father Ever and i love him to death #i got sidetracked this was supposed to be abt geto 😔😔 anyway the final scene between them will always be my Favorite ever #and the key to understanding both their characters and love for one another #ty for coming to my ted talk i’m feeling normal abt them today 😇😇#ari noises ✩

Was Anyone But You a good Much Ado About Nothing adaptation? No, not at all, but fuck it was fun!

#y’all know I have many thoughts about this play and these characters #but even though the movie didn’t completely live up to my expectations as an adaptation #I still really enjoyed it!#and I really despise all those people making posts about how sydney sweeney can’t act #idk it seems a little rude #my main problem is how they messed up the benedick and beatrice characterization and dynamic #I love that they played up the ex lovers thing (which is left up to interpretation in the play)#and i love love queer Hero and Claudio!!!#but their hatred of each other didn’t really pack the same punch as in the original #I suppose I wish they weren’t afraid to make the characters bigger assholes?#ya know- give them more flaws?#because right now the enemies part doesn’t really feel believable for big parts of the movie #They really could have leaned more into making Bea a bit of a cold and snappy mess (as she is in the original)#and Ben more of…ya know…actual human disaster who can’t commit #both of their characters in the play are driven by their desire never to marry and their distrust for the opposite sex #They included this a bit with Bea (her not believing in true love and all that)#but her break up with Jonathan (because he was too nice???) didn’t really convince me of it #They also keep insisting that Ben is a fuckboy but we never really see it demonstrated?#I personally don’t mind the fact that they changed up the whole ‘convincing them that the other secretly loves them’ bit #especially considering this is only loosely based on much ado #but I do think they made it a bit messy considering they included the gulling scenes but only as a joke #I wish they’d either leaned fully into the much ado plot or ditched it #I think what a lot of adaptations get wrong is that they’re either too afraid of leaning into their og media #or too afraid of seperating themselves from the og media #oh god I’ve reached the tag limit help #anyways- rant over #anyone but you #maria talks about things #much ado about nothing #beatrice x benedick

#till the end of the moon #tteotm #ranting #luo yunxi you fucking GOD - the way he speaks to and holds her corpse in both scenes. denial. desperation. fear. disbelief. the trembling.#his face walking up to her coffin and subsequent rage and protectiveness with qingyu over both her and their relationship #no matter how many times she said her purpose was to kill him he still believes they loved each other and refuses anything else #the bracelet sequence the face nuzzle the mirthful laughter #he can’t bear to lose her and he has no idea where to direct his overwhelming pain and sadness despite their conflicts #after all what’s grief but all the love still left to give. he has lost ppl before but not like this #there’s prolly a fair amount of guilt and self hatred underlying everything too #all he's done these last eps is try to hold on to her in every way - with every shred of his being - but none of it worked #‘just say one word please’ ‘you’re really hateful’ AAHHHH #his injured hands shaking her as if things are normal. later tucking her hand in gently as if not to wake her despite the truth.#he's lost all sense of self and purpose. his grasp on reality is hanging by a thin fucking thread #he will gladly live in his delusion & try to stay by her side. even in death. even when she didn't want it.#he can't go on w/o her anymore - doesn't know how. she has fundamentally changed him.#(so much that he even fights the devil god voice in her defense 🙏)#it’s scenes like this that bludgeon you with humanity amidst all the unreal fantastical elements and bring you back to these shows #omg I’m remembering his fixation on her not looking at him with ttml before - boy was already going insane w/o her when she was still there #healthy attachment and coping? ttj doesn't know her 😌#like idk if he fucks her corpse in the novel but props to lyx I’d fucking believe it #and once again nian baiyu is not paid nearly enough for any of this

im watching atla with my grandma and it is very much up her alley which is very cute. i think her favorite part is whenever momo does something funny because she smiles the most.

#i did have the passing thought #that maybe the show depicting chinese-inspired villages being invaded by a japanese-inspired army might be. not the greatest choice for us.#but honestly it wouldnt bother her shes a veeeeeeery tough and easygoing person #it did make me upset again at the remake though #because the original show feels like everyone else matters too #they meet so many refugees on the run and towns that are occupied and villages being menaced #the war isnt just a good backdrop for cool fights between the heroes and villains. its a blight on the lives of everyone who lives in this #world.#and the remake seems to be very much “everyone not in the main cast is an npc” (see: watching the genocide of the air nomads happen in the #first twenty minutes of the first episode)#and that feels. personal now.#bc my grandma hid from japanese soldiers. my great grandma risked her life transporting materials for explosives so she #could feed her family #they are people with personhood and individuality who didnt fight in wwii but their stories still matter #and atla feels like its validating that because it says that war affects everyone and the people who suffer from it the most are the ones #who need to have their voices heard #not just the people with the biggest capacity to cause change #so the remake throwing that away just to have more cool action scenes. leaves a bad taste in my mouth.#atla #atla remake salt #atla live action salt #atla salt

on one hand I wanna write my fic ideas wherein my marvel oc gets sent to the alternate universe of Gotham and hijinks ensue whilst she tries to survive and get back and the batfam and such slowly learn more info abt her world and how it's being threatened atm and she needs to go back and help and whatnot.

But on the other hand, the readers wouldn't know the marvel related backstory of this OC and would have. No context for her going in

But ALSO then the readers would know abt as much abt this mysterious figure as the batcrew do, and get to learn via flash backs and her slowly revealing info to them as safety allows

Then there's also just a general. Idk if there's any sort of oc etiquette when it comes to writing oc centered fics? My brain goes so hogwild when I read anything that I usually avoid oc fics other people write just bc I usually read and enjoy fics at face value but I also go "now what would happen if this OC was here?" And that gets real complicated when other people's ocs are involved

Me, crying over Trent Crimm (The Independent) breaking the number one rule of journalism and sharing his source with Ted bc of how much he respects him? More likely than you think.

going to local ER instead since I’m losing too much blood, way too fast! last week was bad but this is scary and I need to be monitored ASAP!

#I’ll be watching all of your recs when I’m there 🙏#I also have so many updates and posts that I haven’t felt the guts to ever say #I’m sorry I’ve been a bad mutual but I’ve been a bad friend to all the online friends and friends from my university #im lucky I live in a condo community w/ lots of extention of family + help! my coastal city - particularly our part of the city #in a particular building where we all meet up together in the front on weekends #even at my sickest - I’m still pretty involved since we see eachother physically & I love cooking + baking for everyone on a 2x monthly #and we all walk the dogs together every afternoon in our dog walking by the harbor group #even then these old people have me in a group text and drop flowers off for me and me for them #living in a community is so helpful but it open my eyes that I’m not even just sick or even a bad friend but those two factors strained #my online relationships bc the effort was so much behind the scenes w/ my health and even typing something out that it makes messaging or #even blogging but I’d like to change that bc I want to be more overt online #and I explain how that relates to Palestine and findinfing joy + $$$ in this end stage capitalist nightmare #I want to be better but I also want to show people the joys of my city (a literal hidden gem yet is a national park) and so between fusing #ideas of environmentalism - community out reach & even descalation of yt Supremacist mentalities when doing outreach + volunteer #even our coastal environmental causes to such great causes that help indigenous latinx members of our community in particular #their rights and their accomplishments in agriculture & how fruitful this place is #we have the best strawberries + berries since they are indigenous plants but anyways from environmentalism to damn farmers markets #I live in a slice of heaven so why leave to go to LA and NYC when I create such beautiful joy by the ocean every day #we have such incredible water views in our condo along with the stunning plain mountains framing the water and sea of palm trees #every sunset is like Santa Barbara (we close!) w/ pink/purple/orange skies that are so vibrant that they make you take pictures constantly #especially with the herons nested there w/ there babies - so close to #is that we watch them all day long + the other coastal birds #all this Shit is random but I realized that if I put my effort into a few things academically that I haven’t even shared in these tags -#that I can have an incredibly fulfilling life while sick as long it pays for itself and I think I can do it w/ a few different plans I’m #creating but I’m setting up a couple of businesss for passive income - go back to grad schooo but for medical research or political science #IR my old life of international relations and start publishing my research on Palestine and Jewish studies #I just need to publish either medical or political but if I do that - have my east businesses that not only highlight my life #but may help the people and animals of my city #but I feel the change finally coming and maybe it took something like this to wake me up #so many funny typos but this was just a quick way to explain that I need to be more comfortable on video + online w/ you all but on tiktok
