genres and bands i listen to and how i got into them: an entirely too long useless list i made instead of sleeping
celtic punk
shoutout to the genre ever? i grew up listening to celtic punk literally since i was born. my dad sucks but his music taste does not. this genre is 32% responsible for my leftist punk attitude, which is ironic if you know anything about my father.
- the dropkick murphys: first band i can ever remember hearing. as a toddler i called them “the bastards”. still a favourite forever and everrr. their newish album “this machine still kills fascists” fucks HARD. the band will forever be a formative reminder of my working class upbringing in a miners family
- the rumjacks: late nights and early mornings in my dads car introduced me to this band. i really will tell me ma when i get home and i wont feel guilty about it
- paddy and the rats: one of the only celtic punk bands i actually discovered on my own. in 2018 i went on a sailing ship for a week and that got me rlly into celtic punk again LMAO. this band is so fucking good
emo/pop punk
i was 13 and tbh it was a phase but i still love listening to fob and mcr and sws
- my chemical romance: unironically i think i got into them through band memes
- fall out boy: literally just thru scrolling through youtube when i was 12

- all time low: a kid in my class in year 7 introduced me to all time low and ill remember him forever for it. hope youre well, jaiden.
- la dispute: got to see them live last year after @starcam413 got me into them! theyre kinda more screamo like sws but not in the same way as sws but definitely emo too
- set it off: this band is still SO GOOD. so fucking good oh my god. truly the fucking era
- the score: i was a greek mythology nerd as a kid (its my major now!) of course i listened to the score. i miss being 13 and listening to the score on youtube on my laptop at 3am so bad
folk punk
celtic punk and folk punk are very related, and i grew up listening to bands like the pogues and the violent femmes. is it really any wonder how i ended up Like This
- the violent femmes: as a child my dad would play country death song in the car. yes i am mentally ill and have daddy issues can you blame me????? (the song is literally about killing your daughter and then offing yourself)
- toby foster: really one of my proper introductions to the genre and what ultimately led me to discover bands like ajj and pat the bunny. found him on youtube through his song tennessee. i was 13 i think?
- pat the bunny: after toby foster i was completely hooked on the genre and of course ended up listening to the king himself, pat the bunny. your heart is a muscle the size of your fist is such a comfort song to me even now. it sucks he no longer makes music but im very happy he got sober!
- schmekel: im trans and punk of course i listen to schmekel. fantastic trans and jewish band that helped me a lot with my transness as a young teen
- mal blum: im counting his music as folk punkish, sue me. no idea how i got into them either. their song new years eve is the song i listen to on repeat every single new years eve, and i have yet to change this tradition. Help Me.
- the front bottoms: I DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS. THEIR EARLIER ALBUMS ARE FOLK PUNK AS HELL. genuinely my favourite band ever. i can’t remember how i got into them but is how i ended up friends with @starcam413 (hi jon!)
- she/her/hers: sooo formative to me when i was 15/16 struggling with being trans.
- harley poe: ohh i love this guy so fucking much. why do i relate so much to a middle aged divorced man????
- days n daze: one of the most popular folk punk bands so i mean. Duh. sooo good i love them.

- the sex pistols: listen. listen to me LISTEN TO ME. LISTEN. i dont even fucking like this band. in fact i despise it. but because my dad is an idiot, he loves this band and played it a lot when i was a kid.

- the muslims: i believe this was recommended to me on reddit?? amazing black and brown queer band, i love it a lot
- tribe 8: im a lesbian with a complicated gender identity of course i listen to tribe 8. trans queer punk band that i listened to a lot when i was like 15 i think

got into this genre in 2022 and Hella into it late last year. blame paper girls brainrot.
- devo: got into them in 2022 thanks to an online friend hi ira 🌀 theyve never made a single bad song
- the cure: once again my dad showed me a lot of the cure when i was a kid and getting into music
- blondie: ….have you seen the batman and harley quinn movie….please dont make me say more. the first cassette in my collection is from this band!
- new order: one of my favourite bands right now. like most things for the last three years of my life, i got into this band because of a comic book. the tv adaption of paper girls features two new order songs and it got me absolutely hooked on this band.

- queen: when i was 14 i found my grandpas mp3 player from the 2000s, he was a big fan of queen. i ended up putting all my music on the mp3 player and ive used it every single day since.
- billy joel: i was raised by my grandmother of course i listened to billy joel. played a lot on our old radio with my nans ipod when i was a kid. apparently my nan isnt even a big fan of him so i guess he was only formative to me lol????

I think most of my fics have a hopeful ending. So it might be Verbs are a Tragedy the Captain Marvel Carol/Maria fic about Maria grieving. Or wait! maybe the Never Let Me Go fic because it ends right before you know that Chopper is about to get his heart broken. Or the John Wick fic about Helen cause you know she dies later and isn't able to keep her promise of helping John leave the business? Ok maybe I do have some angsty endings.
7. what's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
ha what is happy. Maybe the Leverage fic where Eliot has to pretend to be married to Hardison even though they are exes and that one ends with him proposing to Parker and Hardison and them being happy together

Rarely. Not usually hate at me but sometimes my fics make people pretty angry. I don't love it when people yell at the fic. the funniest though is getting an angry bookmark on a fic that i turned comments off of cause people were angry. like you do you in the bookmarks but lmao

I write fusions and crossovers! My wildest crossover is a 5x fic about Fezzik and Inigo from the princess bride meeting different other characters which actually might be the angstiest one now that I think about it because their last section is them going to the grey havens from lotr so they can sail into the west together. they also party with phryne fisher

Twice! One time on a leverage fic and it taught me how to use semi colons and also write introspection, a lesson i have forgotten and one time lesbian beach volleyball porn with a friend.

Today I turn 34!
My 30s really have been better than my 20s, so far. Hopefully that trend continues for the upcoming year!
I took today off so I could have a 3 day weekend, and I'm going on a quick solo road trip to Big Bear (mountain area of SoCal) to celebrate 😊 Even though it might be rainy tomorrow, hopefully I can come back with photos to share!

Yes, while some people assumed I paid for the $10 version, I actually paid for the $25 version, which estimates 7k impressions, so I'm surprised I got over 9k [insert meme here].
These stats don't line up with the notes on the actual post, which is curious. It has 40 comments (including 3 of my own), 184 reblogs and 356 likes. I'm guessing the difference comes from users who saw the reblogs and not the original sponsored post? Getting only 580 notes with 9k impressions is a little disappointing but that's tumblr for you

In case you missed it, brillemos means "let's shine" in Spanish! And is also a pun on my name, Bri, because I'm a cringe dork and proud of it 😎
I saved alivorte as a side blog and wrote a little JavaScript that will auto-redirect to my new url, even if you're just looking at a singular post, it will redirect to that post. I'm registered for the Lesbians Who Tech Pride Summit this year and I recall that you went to the same event before (or something that sounded very, very similar to it). Do you have any tips to get the most out of it? I am still very much a tech newbie who wants to break into tech and the agenda looks a bit overwhelming. Thanks in advance if you have time to answer this ask! If not, it's okay...you sharing your career journey on tumblr has been inspiring, to say the least!
Aww thanks! I did go to Lesbians Who Tech back in 2018 when I was still in grad school. I think I also signed up for the virtual pride summit this year as well, though I probably won't be able to attend (work kinda gets in the way lol).
The biggest regret I have about when I attended in 2018 was being too shy to try to connect with other people there. I think that's probably the biggest benefit to attending events like this in the first place - networking. Which I've never been particularly good at, lol. So if possible, I'd recommend targeting sessions about networking or allow you to network.
Otherwise, as a tech newbie, you likely won't get much benefit from the more technical sessions, unless you already have some prior exposure to the topic or it's marketed as a beginner friendly session (like I found one called Intro to Native Mobile Development on Tuesday, if that suits your fancy). So I'd have some fun with it, look for ones that sound interesting to you! Or check out sessions in a variety of different areas of tech (coding, analytics, product mangement, etc) so you get a wider exposure to the tech world. I feel a little overwhelmed myself looking at how many sessions there are lol so I don't think I can give more specific advice than this, unfortunately.

i have a close to 13 years old kitty named lyra, who i named after a fictional magical leopard with wings from one of my favorite books series that i had when i got her (which was about 13 years ago lol).
i am very slowly working on building my own d&d world as i love d&d / critical role / dimension 20, and I am also working on a couple novel ideas and a lot of poetry.
i have fantastically bad luck with computers a lot of the time lol.

i started rping technically in about 2009 with some of my friends, a lot of which was a combo between pen and paper, as well as using facebook messages to rp, and it was a lot of naruto / bleach / whatever anime we were all into at the time worlds that we rped in. i definitely had a very overpowered and mary sue-ish character, though i've tried to do a lot of work in making my characters less like that and more like, reasonably powerful / odd in relation to the world they're for and the lore i've built for them? if that makes sense.
i didn't rp for about four years and then picked it up again sometime in 2016 where i did tolkien rp (which was actually quite fun) and then i proceeded to go more into the video game direction for what universes and characters i wanted to rp in, and up until about last year, i only rped as my own original characters because i was way too scared to try my hand at canon characters. the most i did canon-wise was write characters that were canon adjacent, such as one of my current muses, though the blog is on hiatus rn, who is the good hunter / ashen one / chosen undead for the souls games, and that is the closest i got until friends got me into genshin and eventually this blog was born.
i did rp the most consistently during the 2018-2020 period probably, with ocs, but with life in general i tend to take a couple month long breaks periodically.

ladies and nonbinary folks are the muses i'm most comfortable with (and definitely part of why i headcanon so many canon characters as being nonbinary), though over the last year / year and a half, i really have been trying to write more men and get more comfortable writing men. so, even though i sort of default to nonbinary folk and ladies, i also do enjoy writing men, even if i still feel like i struggle with them a little bit sometimes.
——— FLUFF / ANGST / SMUT! ♡
FLUFF: i can not stress how much i love fluff. i love it so much, and it always brightens my day!
ANGST: i enjoy it! i have learned that i do have to be careful to not write too much angst with nothing else, esp if there's a lot going on irl because it just isn't good for me, but as long as i can manage it well (which i'm pretty good at by now i like to think), then i actually really enjoy doing angst. especially if it's a thing that can help with character development. plus, i have a lot of sad thoughts about my muses so, it works lol.
SMUT: i'm pretty chill with it! i like smut, though i am very out of practice with it lmao, and it's not something i've done too often. i'd be open to doing it more, even though i do tend to gravitate towards fluff the most, if i can combine smut with fluff or angst, then i'm definitely groovy lol.
PLOT / MEMES: i don’t mind either approach honestly, though i feel like i struggle with plotting sometimes so i tend to do memes more. however! i would like to do plotting more / get better at plotting. on the other hand though, i love memes so much, and i do like to hoard them sometimes, so yeah. i really like both though i tend to do more memes even though i am trying to definitely be better about plotting.

But instead he's watching baseball.
A visit to Nimbasa has never been on his bucket list. He doesn't yet know much of Unova outside of that one (conference? Tournament? Something Poké-related) whose production he assisted with when he was 17. And why idolize sports stardom when he's a planet all his own? Nothing checks out about his latest obsession - and yet every night he tunes into pokebasestreams.co/live to watch whatever's front-and-center on the site's media player.
By July 2018, Red understands baseball vernacular enough to wade through the waters of the game's online communities. He creates an anonymous account on a popular message board to blend into the crowd, absorbing people's opinions like a Venusaur in the sun. And after lurking for weeks, he finally musters up the courage to make his first-ever forum post, consisting of the following:
"I think the Magikarps played very well today."
(It takes him three hours to hit "send.")
Summer turns to fall, and with autumn's inauguration comes the end of the baseball season. Red, misunderstanding the phenomenon, scrambles to the stream chat of the season's final game:

Red doesn't remember who won that year. All he remembers is scrolling through his favorite forum, tears in his eyes, reading messages of congratulations between members on their favored teams' performances - all of which contained a common refrain: "see you next year!"
It takes Red three months to recover from the heartbreak, and by the time that baseball is ready to return, Red has already moved on. He's back to sleeping, eating, training, and breathing without baseball's influence—a sport so sullied by its sudden disappearance that Red would rather rid his heart of it wholesale.
But another year without summer excitement sneaks under Red's skin—and by April 2021 he's returned to his previous online stomping ground.
"Hi," he posts in an off-topic chatter thread. "I apologize for disappearing."
Five other posters create a chorus of welcome-backs.
"Red!!" they cry.
"It's been so long!"
"I thought you were dead 😭"
"Are you excited for the Magikarps tonight??"
(Online, no one suspects that your chosen name's synonymy with a certain Champion is more than a coincidence.)
Red opens up pokebasestreams.co/live to see none other than his favorite team at-bat.
With a smile, he returns to his previous tab and hits "send" on his reply:
"I sure hope they make a splash this year."

I havent really sat down and really talked to (texted) my brother in a while BUT i found out hes playing animal crossing (hes usually not much of a gamer, especially for nintendo games), which im very surprised about because i was literally wondering earlier today if he would even like this game, AND i found out that both him and his girlfriend hold the same political revolutionary ideals that i do! SO @alignedinstars / RINA, it’s 2018 and about 5 months since you and I got back in touch, and I wanted to make a shoutout to you and give a long, sentimental and very cheesy post :’) I’ve seen some old friends do this waay back in the years and have always wanted to make my own and you just so happen to be the first I try this on !!

I’ll just be blunt with this - I was pretty sad the day your first jia blog suddenly poofed. The first thing I remember doing after that is trying to hit you up on skype as casually as possible before attempting to ask if everything was alright. But some time passed and since I didn’t wanna pester you I just kinda did my usual thing on Zen until my muse for him withered away and I moved to the yoi fandom. After things started to die down there I was sort of at a loss with whether or not I wanted to find another fandom or just take another long break. BUT the biggest surprise I got when you messaged me again months later !! The most pleasant surprise honestly :’)
But anywho, my entire point in this post is to say how grateful I am to be your partner and friend !! Despite only just recently getting back in contact, and all the bumps in the road we’ve managed to hit in our personal lives between then and now, the memes are strong, and our friendship is as sturdier than ever !! I missed you a heck load, Zen missed Jia a ton - but aside that I’ve had so much fun roleplaying with you because it was just never a dull moment ic or ooc !! You’ve been nothing but an incredibly supportive friend, you always knew what to say to make me laugh ( orkillmesoftly ) we share a ton of interests even I have to admit I was shocked by because, you were just the perfect mix of everything good in a partner I’ve always wanted - but so much more !! I'm always so reluctant ( bc of past rp experiences / friend drama ) about admitting my thoughts and some of the things i’ve been the most insecure with, and whenever I voice all of that to you you respond with so much understanding and care, always helping me find a solution to things - and even if that isn’t the case just help me overall put my mind somewhere more positive. Lately i’ve been finding it so much harder to reach out to people - both online and irl, but I’m just happy by the end of the day, I can just lay down and pour out whatever the heck my brain happens to come up with to you and be the happy derp i wanna be lmao. It’s honestly super hard these days ( at least for me ) to find those people to really click with, and I’m just ever so thankful to have at least one person like that after the last last mess of a long term rp partnership i had prior to mm and yoi.

Hell, I do the very same thing MYSELF. I know they’re just enjoying ships, but some people GENUINELY think the ship is canon. As usual, the MHA fandom took this too literally, and too generally, so let me walk you through this-

I know when people say TodoDeku is canon, if any, they’re joking. I originally wasn’t going to put TodoDeku, since it wouldn’t make much sense to put it. But I decided to anyways, but just as a lead. That’s all it was, a lead, into this-

I’ve seen people say “Kirishima was used for Bakugo’s redemption so he could get along better with Deku, so now there’s no need for him anymore” Um…no? KiriBakus development is a WHOLE OTHER THING FROM BKDK DEVELOPMENT. And all of you fellow Krbks- Stop crying a river because they haven’t interacted for 100 chapters! Bakugo and Deku redeeming their friendship is important!! LET THE BKDKS HAVE THIS! It’s what they wanted. Just because Deku and Bakugo are becoming friends, doesn’t mean Kirishima and Bakugo aren’t. So, just stop. Please. You don’t become best friends with each other and then all of a sudden say “Hey dude, your important to me n’ all, but there’s this other guy who I used to be friends with, but I kinda bullied him, so…Kinda gotta fix my relationship with him. Lmao you act like you fucking own Eggman or something. It's totally fine to not like something (the fandubs in your case), but like dude CHILL. Nobody is going to take your writing seriously because you throw tantrums over the existence of someone else's work which has no impact on you. If you can't handle fandub references in your notes/tags, then you shouldn't have a tumblr account. You could simply not read them or recognize the fact that Alfred Coleman's Eggman is a character who is completely separate from and unrelated to canon Eggman.
I know you're probably trying to get a bad reaction out of me but I'm at the point where I'm completely unaffected and used to the backlash I get for having a different opinion about the massively popular fandubs. So unfortunately, you're not going to get the reaction you want. But you're clearly misunderstanding me, so I'm providing an explanation in defense of myself.
What part comes off as me acting like I own Eggman? I've just reached my limit with unrelated comments on my passionate posts, the way I've tried to politely ask people to stop only to be insulted, and the way I don't like how people pestered Mike with requests to repeat those lines- to the point he had to make a video explaining why he can't and doesn't want to.
"Nobody is going to take your writing seriously" are you referring to my fanfiction? Because lol, you can see that my rant posts actually got more notes than my writing for some reason, so it seems people agreed/liked what I had to say about that more than my fanfiction, not liking it less because they disagree with the rant. So I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here.
I'm not even throwing a tantrum over the work or the people involved itself, all I said was that I personally hate it and don't find it funny. I was mostly commenting on the way people make these comments repetitively on my posts. It does have an impact on me because I've been dealing with this since the meme blew up and the fandub has been around since 2018, of course it was going to get on my last nerve eventually.
Yes, I hate the fandubs but the ranting is about how I've been treated over it. I'm not attacking the creators in any way, I'm allowed to simply have an opinion and hate something. Just because I don't want a certain comments on my content, showing up in my notifications so I can't avoid them, doesn't mean I shouldn't have an account. I've been on this site years before the fandub existed and I don't have to like the way my posts are starting to be associated with it.
I'm not the one that doesn't recognize that the fandubs are separate. That's literally exactly what the people that make these comments on unrelated posts are doing when they look at my post that has nothing to do with it in the slightest and make the same joke for the millionth time. They say they can't look at anything to do with him without thinking about the fandub, so I'm not that one that can't separate them. :\

I am officially giving in to my impulse to watch supernatural, but like I don't think i can do fifteen seasons, so I'm looking for advice. I watched the first couple of seasons like, years ago, but i am basically only coming back because of the deancas fandom on tumblr these past few weeks. do you have any seasons you would start with, any episodes i should watch, etc.
dkjasjldfdklsfdlk like 2 years ago i was working on a list of spn episodes that would omit a lot of the bad writing and filler. i only made it to season 7 but i’ll drop the draft under the cut and maybe i’ll finish the rest of it after the semester is over
seasons 1-3
ok so the thing about the early seasons is that spn is an evolving beast. this is part of what makes the show fascinating and compelling, but it also makes binge watching it weird as hell. it was a very different show in 2005 than it is today in 2018 (holy shit). the tone is different, the monsters are different, even the way the show LOOKS visually is very different. it’s also much less focused on an overarching plot and the episodes tend to be more self-contained, so you can safely skip many of them.
full disclosure: i actively dislike the early seasons because i think they’re dank and dark and ugly as hell, so i have little memory of the episodes i’m about to recommend to you here lmao. some people feel the exact opposite and will tell you that the only time spn was actually any good was in its first couple of seasons and it’s sucked ever since. and i will concede that the early seasons might, technically, be “good.” however, they are not valid. ahem. anyway:

seasons 4 and 5 are when shit starts getting cosmic, with the show actively working towards an endgame. more episodes are tying into the plot as opposed to being stand alone monster-of-the-week. but the most important thing is that castiel is finally, finally gonna grace your screen

the apocalypse has been averted, but the ever-present threat of cancellation hasn’t. spn attempts to find a new path after the conclusion of the apocalypse arc, with mixed results. personally i’m just glad the sets are properly lit now
season 6 - a burning ring of fire
there’s some shit with like.... the brothers’ grandpa in this season that basically doesn’t matter and is never mentioned again so just don’t worry about it
*6x01, Exile on Main Street. sets up the season, so you should probably watch
6x02, Two and a Half Men. the bros take care of a baby
*6x03, The Third Man. cas returns, we meet balthazar
6x04, Weekend at Bobby’s. not essential but a good episode that focuses almost entirely on bobby
6x07, Family Matters. watch to find out what the heck is going on with sam
*6x10, Caged Heat. meg is back and she’s hitting on cas
*6x11, Appointment in Samarra. ooooooooooo death
*6x12, Like a Virgin. introduces eve
6x15, The French Mistake. the one where they go to our universe and spn is just a television show. on par with mystery spot and changing channels, do recommend
*6x17, My Heart Will Go On. cas breaks all the rules
*6x19, Mommy Dearest. a plotty episode about eve and her diabolical schemes
*6x20, The Man Who Would Be King. “we can fix this, cas” “dean, it’s not broken!”

7x18, Party On, Garth. absolutely not required viewing but nice if you need some comic relief in this shitstorm of a season
7x20, The Girl With The Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo. charlie bradbury’s first episode!
*7x21, Reading is Fundamental, Kevin’s first episode. also features “crazy!cas,” a concept which is about as horrendously executed as you might imagine. just grin and bear it, it does get better

Last Song: I've been listening pretty much exclusively to Itzhak Perlman the past few days, I think the latest was either Allegro from Fiocco's Harpsichord Suite No. 1, or that recording of Salut d'Amour that's super popular for good reason. Also his 1986 record of Bach's violin concertos has been going on repeat a bunch. I used to not listen to Perlman playing baroque when I was younger, I had a phase of thinking baroque should only be performed in period accurate ways, but luckily I've gotten better and I'm revisiting and thriving.
Last Film: Considered lying here and saying it was something that would demonstrate good taste, but the honest answer is The Commuter, lmao. I'm actor surfing, don't look at me.
Currently Reading: Den Nya Kvinnostaden (The New City of Ladies) by Nina Burton. A mix of poetic essay and popular history, weaving personal reflections of womanhood together with presentations of more or less forgotten women through European history. I'm on this big reread of all the books I own, culling the ones I don't like or feel I need to keep in the process, so I've read it about a decade ago and remember it as competently, often beautifully written, but more of a surface skim than what I tend to enjoy. It's... fine? So far? I'm bracing a little for gender essentialism and radfem-adjacent sisterhoodly utopian thinking, which may be unfair of me. We'll see! Also reading The Thief's Journal by Jean Genet, don't look at me.
Currently Watching: The Terror 2018, for the fourth time, please don't look at me.
Currently Craving: Rain. Clouds. Anything but a sunny, miserable 28 C, I'm having a terrible time slow-cooking in my apartment with the curtains closed.

Taurus! And I used to be kind of salty about it because I associated earth sign = grass-types and I don't respect grass-type pokémon, plus those zodiac posts on the internet were like "Taurus is about eating and plants and nothing else" and that didn't feel like me, BUUUT not only have I come to realize that being an earth elemental would be really cool (earthquakes, avalanches, flinging rocks at people!!), but also I looked more into the traits ACTUALLY associated with Taurus rather than just meme posts and realized that, even though the zodiac is all nonsense and means nothing, it actually does fit me in various ways. It's not being a useless grass-type, it's about being the mountain which doesn't bend no matter how loudly the wind howls at it to. (a.k.a. the stereotype that Tauruses are stubborn af fits me to a T lmao I don't just dig my heels in, I go knee-deep.) Plus, I mean, Jenna Marbles was inspirational in being proud of your zodiac. I wanted to get in on the fun.
So yeah, I'm a Taurus! And year of the horse for the Chinese zodiac. Just hooves all around.
what’s the best piece of advice you ever received?
Hmm, I think it's a tie between "say thank you instead of sorry" and "don't advertise your mistakes," the latter of which is pretty recent. The first one helps because I do have a tendency toward over-apologizing, which can not only make things awkward for the person receiving the apology, but also I have in the past apologized for things that weren't even my fault, which is nonsense. The latter helps because my desire to hold myself accountable means I'm sometimes bringing mistakes that no one would have noticed to the attention of others, which just doesn't need to be done and is doing nothing to help me, only to hurt me. Of course I'll always own up if I've done something wrong that affects others, but I'm not going to advertise every tiny mistake I've made, because that helps nothing and no one. (This also goes triple for my creative works. Why would anyone want to read something I've written if I say it's bad? Why do I feel the need to downplay my work and my accomplishments? I'm allowed to be proud of myself and what I accomplish, I don't have to tear it apart, and I shouldn't! It's a hard lesson to learn, but an important one.)
when’s the last time you followed your instincts?
Every day, honestly . . . I can't think of a specific time because I am very, very much ruled by my feelings. Don't get me wrong, I do think things through (I overthink a lot of the time, actually), I do my research, I listen to science and facts, etc. But when backed into a corner I always go with my heart over my head. My instincts rarely steer me wrong. The only thing I have to watch out for is my anxiety tampering with my instincts, but honestly, I really do usually trust my gut.
what’s your favorite food?
Okonomiyaki!!! sobs I miss it so much, I haven't been able to eat it since my trip to Japan in 2018. :( That said I also have a huge weakness for ice cream, especially in milkshake form. It's a problem.
what’s your secret dream?
If I told you then it wouldn't be a secret. :P The closest thing would be that I'm a hopeless romantic . . . I want to woo someone . . . I want to sweep her off her feet and take her on super romantic dates . . . I want to have a real romance and true love. I consider this a dream because tbh I feel like it's impossible for me to find anyone for multiple reasons, not the least of which being that I don't think there's a single woman on this Earth who has ever been interested in me. Like really, I've never had a romantic relationship that lasted for more than a week, and the two that I did have were with men because I wasn't aware at the time that I was a lesbian. (It took me a while to reach that level of awareness, like . . . an embarrassing amount of time, I was so oblivious to myself.) I think it's something that's out of my reach and I'll just be single forever. Which is fine! I'm OK being single. I'm really independent, honestly. But it'd just be nice to have a wife to be my life partner. I've got so many romantic date ideas and it'd be nice to be able to put them to use, but I can barely make it to the coffee stage, and never past there. I'm like the dude from Tangled in the "I Have a Dream" sequence where he wishes for romance lmao. It's just not meant to be, but I dream anyway.
