But also the Doctor is bluntly admitting to being obsessed with him, and the Master is blue-screening over the weird fluttery feeling that gives him.

I don't know if it's very strange, but when I was writing The Game, I wanted to figure out how WW1 guns worked so I could describe one in a scene. I googled for a while, then ended up watching a YouTube video because I couldn't get it from a written description. Ended up with a very skewed YouTube algorithm for a while 😭 For Unbound I also did some very fun research into Victorian England!

I used to go by the username Sakuri on the likes of FF.net, YouTube, and LiveJournal, which I picked when I was about 13. But it got a bit... Mm. Pre-teen anime sounding? So when I re-joined fandom spaces at 25, I just picked a new one. Verayne, if I recall, was a name I'd once named a NeoPet and I loved it so much that I plucked it from the recesses of memory and dusted it off.

Hey there, vampire family, let's talk about sex. (Again. Because I think I've written some of the broad strokes here once before.)
I see a lot of people saying Nandermo is on its way because Nandor realizes how he feels now. And I am not trying to kill the party vibe, seriously I'm not. But I think he's still got a lot of dots to connect. Nandor knows 'Guillermo matters to me' and 'I am doing this thing to impress Guillermo' and 'I am mad Guillermo finds this other person more interesting', all of which says Guillermo is a very important friend who can make him do stupid shit - but certainly isn't someone he loves or would consider a romantic partner.
On the flip side, and this may be contributing to Guillermo's status as a vampire: I think Guillermo's sexuality is blossoming, but he's still holding back. Guillermo has always framed sex as something he doesn't want to talk about, because that's an inhibition he was raised with (and he was closeted to boot). He has heart-eyes aplenty for Nandor, he's been jealous of Nandor's relationships, but it's never clear he's yearning for anything more physical than a hug.
I still don't think he knows that's something he wants from the relationship. In fact, he wants to close his eyes and walk away from most sex he sees - even though he's been surrounded by the weirdest, kinkiest, most casual sex for well over a decade, as part of the very lifestyle he wants. (And Nadja's now confirmed, the vampires fuck each other all the time.)
That doesn't even change with Freddie, by the way, where they awkward-hug hello and walk arm in arm. Then we cut to him walking in on Freddie and Nandor snuggling naked in furs. He doesn't ever kiss Freddie, but Freddie's clone does. The contrast could not be more clear.
Guillermo's said that he doesn't feel any sexier, like he expects being a vampire to change that for him. But does that mean it would make him more desirable or more open to desire?
(And if Guillermo is some form of ace that's totally fine too, of course, it'd be so cool to have an ace vampire of all things. But I don't know if the show's going there. And it'd be weird if Guillermo's dream this whole time was actually some kind of forced self-conversion therapy.)
But he's making inroads. Last year he came out and had a boyfriend, however chaste that was. Whether Guillermo is a virgin or not, his bungled turning is treated like a horrible first sexual experience - we've all talked about that by now. And if you contrast that with Guillermo's Pride experience...
Even in the scene before the space thing, his conversation with Nandor hits different. Guillermo's vibe with Nandor is different than everyone else in the house, and his reaction to Nandor going to space feels downright flirty. And I am fascinated with how the show frames Nandor's descent: Guillermo reacting to Nandor crashing with 'oh my God' (and the vampiric reaction that gives him, a sudden puff of smoke, aka heat!). Nandor looming over Guillermo naked to gloat, before he ever approaches the crowd. For a moment, the joke isn't that Nandor's a bare-assed flaming disaster in front of everyone. It's something that's completely between the two of them.
And then they're walking side by side, a true duo again for the first time in a while, when they come across the rest of the household - and Guillermo immediately nopes out. Which, well, is understandable. There's a lot of reasons he doesn't want to touch that, literally.
But Nandor asks, "are you sure?" Because in his head he just got his friend back, and sex to Nandor is as casual as breathing.
Sex as a vampire is just something you do, and any deep emotion is secondary and special. I think it's a mental hurdle Guillermo has to navigate, either by some sort of supernatural change or (I suspect) just understanding what that means to him. And I think they're going to sleep together in a casual way - maybe as part of that sexy-gross episode Paul Simm has been teasing, which certainly sounds like a vampire orgy to me - before Nandor realizes he's feeling anything like love.
But it's going to feel different than anything else in the room. And that's going to uncork some things for both of them - very different things, but both coming to the same conclusion.

Compliments are hard. I guess I think my writing is good at showing emotion through the rhythm of it and through having realistic characters doing their best on all sides of the conflict? Also I have many cool plot ideas (that I never have enough time to write)

Difficult question. I have not really written much this year so far (caught up in moving house, buying furniture, sailing oceans, working full time) but I am hoping to get back into it in winter. I have a novel I want to finish, I have a bunch of simon-pov ELYN bits that I feel like I should do something with but I don't know what, I would like to do another long fic in this fandom (soulbonds or werewolves or post S3 Euro road trip??) but I am not a fast writer and the novel is currently at the top of the list (novels are hard :( )

I am already bothering you because of the OS2 trailer lol but I want to express my theories so here they are:
NLMG: I agree with the time traveling theory! with the outfits and setting it's giving Palm and Nueng sent back in time where Palm seems to be the rich one
MLC: soul/body swap as people where saying for a wile, or a different hniverse where everithing is swapped(wich I think could be more probable cuz they all swapped not only Tinn and Gun
ABAAB: same as MLC or as you said a roleplay so that Cher can experience what Gun does
BBS: no clue... people seems to think it's a body/soul swap as well considering some of the scenes shown
ATOTS-SIMM: maybe just vibes and cute times for the couple, to for Phupa Tian people seems to think it's also a body/soul swap but to me not so much
The Eclipse: Wat making a short movie for a film festival in Phuket and he involved all his friends(e.g. the Brokeback Mountin looking scene) we saw them in the bts in front of some theatre
anyway this is my take we will know in a little over a week so!

NLMG: judging from their outfits and the setting, I'm pretty sure that theory is correct. they could even be travelling through multiple different eras before waking up in their time, which is actually something they hinted at before but I couldn't put it together back then lol. so yeah. it makes sense.
MSP (I'm assuming MLC is a typo because if not then I have some bad news for you lmao): I honestly don't know where people are getting this body swap theory from lmao. the trailer did not suggest that? or maybe I'm just blind. I still don't like body swaps but if that's what's happening then let's see how it goes.
ABAAB: the role switch thing seems pretty legit to me. From what I can tell I don't think it's a body swap though, probably just Cher wanting to reverse the roles and knowing him it's gonna be for some kink reason dfjkgdf
BBS: no idea either. the very small amount of footage that we got didn't really look any different from the original show tbh so I'm not sure what they're gonna do. It's possible that it won't be anything elaborate. And I once again want to throw out there that they filmed this whole thing in 2 days lmao. So I'm not expecting much.
ATOTS & SIMM: I agree about both. We didn't get any footage from SIMM since they just wrapped filming today but I also think it's gonna be a compilation of some cutesy-boyfie moments which I'm very much okay with lol. Same with ATOTS.
The Eclipse: The wat-short-film theory seems to be the general consensus and I think it's very likely. Wat makes a movie where they recreate old movies such as Golden Eagle, Brokeback Mountain and others and I think that makes sense. At first I thought there might be some universe-travel involved but not anymore. And I actually really like that idea tbh.

4. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
I do. I'm very, very behind (so sorry to everyone who has left a lovely comment on one of my fics) but I intend to catch up. To begin with I just like/thanking and acknowledging people who took the time to leave a comment, and then it sometimes will give me a chance to talk some more about the fic and my thoughts/ideas behind it.
5. What fic has the angstiest ending?
Roots in my Dreamland (Midam) maybe. It's not too bad, but Adam is still technically stuck in the cage and isn't having a great time. There were plans for a series that would follow through to the end of the show (with a happier ending) and maybe I'll come back to it one day.
Similarly, my To Sit in Hell With You (Bruce/Jeremiah) series, which I'll admit I didn't plan well because I would write the parts on a whim/when inspiration struck and not chronologically so while it all makes sense in my head, in hindsight I don't think it's the best experience for readers. Ultimately it had this stockholmed/broken Bruce story - with Arkham Kight vibes - that was fairly angsty, and the last entry in particular which focused on Jim and Bruce, was definitely that.
And One Hand on my Cheekbone... is basically just angst.
6. What fic has the happiest ending?
Devotion (Yassen/Alex, T+) is the only one that really stands out to me as having a proper happy ending.
A lot of my fic is smut, so does a happy ending count?
7. Do you write crossovers?
Not strict crossovers, but AUs based on another setting often enough. I have a Star Wars fic in the works that name drops Anakin and Obi-Wan if that counts?
8. Have you received hate on ao3?
Not strictly hate. I've had some very odd comments that have nitpicked (what I think are irrelevant) details while not even mentioning whether they finished the fic, much less enjoyed it, which I think is just entirely unnecessary. Or have requested that I write an idea they have, again without commenting on the fic they're posting on. But that's the worst of it.
9. Do you write smut?
Regularly.
10. Have you had a fic get stolen?
Not that I know of.
11. Have you had a fic get translated?
The only one I'm aware of is One Hand on my Cheekbone...
12. Have you co-written a fic?
No.
13. What's your fav ship?
It varies. Right now, Alex/Yassen, but if you go through my fics you'll see the range. Doctor/Master is a pretty eternal one.
14. What's a WIP you want to finish but never will?
I have a few in both the Gotham and Supernatural fandoms. There's a chance I could go back to them, the hyperfixation would just need to swing that way again. I've mentioned a few above, but also Talking While the Wolves Close In (Midam, AU post 'Point of No Return) though that is one I particularly *want* to finish.
15. What are my writing strengths?
I like to think my smut is pretty good at this point. In general I think my writing flows quite well too if that makes sense. I've been told something similar about my academic writing, so I think all that practice has meant my writing - content aside - looks/sounds/reads/flows well.
16. What are my writing weaknesses?
I struggle with dialogue. A line here or there is fine, and I like to think I can make it in-character, but full conversations I struggle with, particularly then trying to match it with movement/the characters actually doing things. Or maybe I then overcompensate and include too much of that when a bunch of back and forth dialogue would be fine without the "interruptions". I guess the problem is I can't quiet tell what the right balance is.
Can't do long plotty fics either. Wish I could, but I always lose steam/motivation before I can finish it. And/or it feels like so much work to get to the bits and pieces I actually want to write within it.
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages on ao3?
Fine when done right I guess, but I've never done it apart from maybe a word or two here and there (where I'm pretty certain I've got it right). I know a few languages but none fluently enough to be confident basically. I stuck some Russian in the note of my first AR fic that was the translation of a joke alluded to in the fic itself (taken from the Archer episode the fic was basically parodying - he finds the grenade "hanging from the lampshade") but otherwise I tend to cheat and just say they're speaking another language, potentially using italics.
18. What's the first fandom you wrote for?
DCEU as far as anyone checking my AO3 knows, but there was some earlier stuff for Star Trek '09 way back when I think (that will never see the light of day).
19. What fandom/ship have you not written but want to?
At the moment I don't really have a burning need to write for anything other than what I already have.

I love how Missy really leans into the whole Edwardian Woman vibe, but I don't like the sort of shocked, verge of tears gasps when she's shot, it feels too "weak woman sobbing on the floor" if that makes sense? Like, it almost feels like they sexualised her when she was dying and "damsel in distress" in an almost misogynistic way.
They shouldn't sexualise The Master when they're in female form if they aren't going to sexualise them in male form, too.
Give us damsel in distress Simm! Master and Dhawan! Master!!! Have them make little affronted gasps and collapse to the floor sobbing! Let's even this out. If you're writing/ drawing a confident woman in distress, crying, etc, ask yourself how it would be done if they were a man, because 9 times out of ten people subconsciously decide that a crying woman is sexy, especially if a man comes to their aid.
(not saying I don't love her death scene, though, Michelle Gomez is a brilliant actress)

there is going to be a press tour for we are, but their scheduling is horrible. there is going to be an insta live tomorrow, but they don’t have anything else lined up for the boys as of now despite the show being released in three days. i know it’s probably partly due to the whole win situation, because it initially was supposed to start airing from march 17th, but it’s still poor planning on gmmtv’s part
and tbh i did not expect them to pull it from youtube completely. if it is going to be behind a paywall there are definitely gonna be a lot less views than the show would’ve generated on youtube. i know 23.5 is also on netflix for some countries, but netflix is a different story because a lot of people already have a subscription for it while not a shitton of people will have an active iqiyi subscription
it kind of feels like they don’t want the show to be successful despite having at least two highly popular cps in their cast like what are you doing @ gmmtv
i truly hope this won’t become a trend with them putting shows on different platforms. i don’t care about them moving it afterwards like they did with simm or nomg, but i need my shows easily accessible on youtube while they’re airing, because i don’t want to spend a fortune on different streaming site subscriptions and a vpn

so as you probably have read in the meantime it seems like the show will still air on yt for international fans but will be an iqiyi exclusive for thai audience, or at least that's what i've gathered. but the lack of promo schedules is truly astounding in this situation and i can't really understand what gmmtv is doing here
tbh even if they air it on yt as planned some things still feel strange here, such as the weekday slot and the apparent lack of intention of doing proper promotion. the vibe i'm getting so far is not good in general but i might be biased since in all honesty i am not much of a fan of gmmtv as a company for a few reasons, so i often have a hard time when it comes to giving them the benefit of the doubt
let's hope things just crossed with the lol event by accident and/or poor planning on their side and they have more in store for the future, otherwise it might mean you're right and this show could be getting some variant of the Cooking Crush treatment for unknown reasons. these pairings are pretty popular indeed and unless this is wrong information i have been told once by this thai girl i on tiktok that PondPhuwin are one of the biggest sellers when it comes to gmmtv pairings, and if that's the case i'd have a hard time believing the company would sabotage one of their shows willingly. but i gave up trying to understand the reasoning behind gmmtv's actions a long time ago.
agreed on the last part, whether it was just a misunderstaing this time or not i am starting to feel a bit worried about the amount of times platforms are being involved in new releases, it seems to have become a recurrent thing recently and apparently gmmtv is removing some of their successful shows from yt to move them to payed subscription apps, an information that i don't really know how i'm supposed to take. all i know is i'm not spending a penny over a subscription to watch live any show simply basing on a trailer and a few bts videos so i too hope these shows will remain easily accessible now as much as in the future

I'm not gonna lie to you, Charlie— I got a lot of really good matchups. I'll confess I did keep it limited to Star Rail and Genshin, but I included all your primary & secondary muses. I did include your secret menu as we did start writing together via an experiment with Dottore, but I balanced it out my including the muses from my request-only page. In total, that gave us an even split of twenty from your list and eighteen from mine. I even included my experimental Doctor's, just for fun (Though none of those pairings made the list, sadly). Here's what I see working. A lot of Time War pairings here because of my current hyperfixations, but I tried to give a lot of options.
Dottore [Master!Verse] * The Scarf Doctor [Time War]
How could I resist? I mean, truly? How could I? It was at the top of the fucking list. The way we crafted this verse together really made me feel like your interpretation of The Master and the take you brought to just my crackpot verse idea got me so hooked that it pretty much cemented that your Dottore was Scarf's Master, through and through. I believe The Doctor & The Master have a yin & yang vibe, where each incarnation of The Doctor has their version of The Master (Pertwee/Delgado, Simm/Tennant, Gomez/Capaldi) and it really felt like we'd hit that kind of right cord with Dottore/Scarf. So the idea of these two running into each other again when Scarf is at his lowest? Oh, the drama would be palpable. Even though it's labeled as his time war verse, I still would probably set this pre-time war, and show an encounter that happened just before it. Maybe an adaptation of Eight & MacQueen meeting in Dark Eyes, during a mission for The Timelords— both of them on the opposite ends. Or, during a run-of-the-mill scheme for The Master, in which The Doctor reunites with his old foe. I'm limiting myself to one pairing with The Dottore Master, though. However, out of all of the options on here? This spoke the HIGHEST. A more somber and more focused Scarf going toe-to-toe with the incarnation of The Master that I really think tests him? Exquisite. Palpable. The Flavors are melting on my mouth.
ELIO * The War Doctor
I mean truly. Truly. This is just a match up I think the both of us know in our hearts— that it would just go absolutely insane. Could Elio read the future of the Time War? Does he prepare his hunters for it? Do they factor into it? Whether or not we want to reference the Stellaron Hunters from my verse or from your canon, it can go either way. While I don't know what would prompt them to meet (or clash) I can see The War Doctor and Elio having some tense moments. If Elio knows the future, would he taunt The Doctor with that? If he can only see one of two possible destinies (Mutally Assured Destruction or the destruction of the entire universe) would he prompt The Doctor toward one or the other? Did he foresee that War would push the button and fundementally shake the foundations of the universe? Did that factor into his plan with Nanook and The Trailblazer? Did he need to engineer his own survival of the war? Lots of questions, tons of possible directions. All of them intense and dramatic, for sure.
Jing Yuan * Rassilon [Final Days]
The Multiverse is for sure wild. That's all I'll say. We've experimented with a lot more wilder concepts. I was listening to Gallifrey Time War 2 earlier today, and within the first fifteen minutes, Rassilon declared anyone who did not declare themselves allies of Gallifrey enemies. Those planets who were declared enemies were subject to invasion and the establishment of military bases, essentially altering Gallifreyan tradition into a more imperial practice. The Luofu and The Timelords coming head to head would be an extremely tense face off, especially with a late stage Rassilon who isn't taking any prisoners and isn't making any negotiations. What a ride this could be.
Freminet * The First Doctor
Who lost they fuckin' GRAMMA???? cRAZY THREAD. This was just on here because I thought it would be extremely funny. The First Doctor and Freminet meet and through circumstances that align them, they start workig together. As a grandmother and a parental figure, she acts instinctively like just Mom the entire thread and there's a natural forming parental relationship that forms across the short thread. It's just a sweet little antics-driven thread that is full of laughs and heartfelt moments.
Dan Heng * The War Master
For this thread we just entirely imply that Lunaetis/Hina is The Trailblazer for both our muses. The reason I mention that is because The Master absolutely fucks with Dan Heng the whole time just because Dan Heng is friends with The Trailblazer. During a routine Astral Express mission, Dan Heng comes across The Master's Time War incarnation. He's up to his nefarious schemes and because The War Master is just a Jacobi-exuding charismatic jack-the-ripper pyschopath, he just absolutely torments Dan Heng the entire thread. Maybe passively, like getting him into situations that overwhelm him and doing nothing to help at all. It starts that way, but then descends into utter maddess. Dan Heng makes it out alive, but The War Master is out there... and things are only going to get worse for the rest of the universe.

delgado master: he knows perfectly well what a meme is. in fact, he often calls Three just to brag about all the hot new memes that he's seeing in the future, since Three is stuck in the early 70s. he's a bastard.

master: i just thought you should know that there's a terrible plague sweeping the earth in fifty years time, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it!

the master is extremely confused and disturbed by it, so it can be seen as strategic.
macqueen master: he's a proud memepage owner. in fact, he frequently steals memes from the future and drops them in the past, pretending that he invented him - his memepage rockets up in popularity because of this. what a motherfucker.
boy master: i feel like he knows what a meme is? i don't know that much about him, if i'm honest. i think that he has polar opposite energies to koschei. he's still really smart, i bet, but he pulls pranks on the teacher and gets detention every day. probably carves memes into the desks. absolute villain.
jacobi master: when he's in the time war, he keeps the memepage running, continuing to devise new and evil memes - but when he uses the chameleon arch and becomes yana? he's blissfully unaware of the concept of a meme. as soon as he opens that fob watch, though...
he enters MEME OVERDRIVE. all the memes come flooding back at once.
simm master: he continues the memepage legacy, even as prime minister. both him and Ten know a lot about memes (Ten knows them from Rose, mostly), so it's just constant banter. a steady stream of back-and-forth meme battles: verbal, telepathic, sign language, in multiple alien tongues. martha begs them to stop, but it's too late - they finally know about memes at the same time. the end is nigh.
missy: a meme expert. she knows past memes, future memes, alien memes, memes that were erased by collapsing paradoxes - every line she says is a subtle reference to a meme. we're just not advanced enough to understand, and neither is poor Twelve. in exchange for his tutelage, bill explains memes to him. yes, there are quizzes.
dhawan master: oh. oh ho. hee hee HEEEEE. HOO HOO HOOOOO. oh boy. his brain got super scrambled during regeneration and now he doesn't know a single meme - it's like watching the library of alexandria burn. BUT, hilariously, Thirteen also doesn't know anything about memes. this leads to an awful attempt to re-live Ten and Simm's "Great Memebattles of 2009," except neither of them knows how to use memes AT ALL.
master: *visibly sweating* y-you're a soy girl, doctor. barack obama's eyes. a crab shooting lasers...?
doctor: uh, well, at least i'm not a, um, *glances at smudged writing on her palm* a sad, tiny meow meow! *smacks his arm* this time lord can fit so many idiots in it.

Doctor Who Flux - chapter 2 : War of the Sontarans
Isn't Atropos the name of one of the Fates in Greek Mythology, the one who appears like an old woman? Then it would indeed make sense that her temple is where Time is kept under control, given that the Fates are the ones who control the threads of every living being! Tho, now, a templewith strange guardians and priests, on a planet literally called Time... Oh, that is exciting! The universe is big and only getting bigger!
That being said, Swarm and Azure are Extra Strength Majorly Creepy TM and they're giving me aaaaalll kinds of bad vibes and cold shivers. Who. Are. They ? Where do they come from, are they from the Doctor's past, one of their forgotten life? Or are they even older, directly from the Timeless Child's original dimension? And where does Passenger come from now??? Aaaah, so many questions, and it's only episode 2, it's already episode 2!
Dan is a puppy! Oh, he's really brilliant. Quick on his feet and funny, and kind! He's a good fit for the Tardis. Oh, and his mum made me think of good ol' Jackie Tyler, and that's an added bonus. Also, THE WOK. Now that's what I call a perfect weapon! Speaking of puppies, Vinder is really having a rough time.
And the Tardis keeps on being corrupted... Tho now that we kniw time is starting to run wild, it does explain it a bit. But! Who broke the first Mouri? Was it the Flux? Because if the Flux destroyed the Mouri, the corruption of the Tardis started before the Flux. Oooor... Because time is broken, and the Tardis exists simultaneously across all of time, did the corruption set in before the even even happened, because time got impacted at every point in existence? Ooh, I'm giving myself a headache.
So I don't know anything about the Crimean War and Mary Seacole (not my area of expertise, that), but Mary was cool! Very sassy, very smart, quick witted and clever. That General on the other hand... Not good, sir. Not good at all. The Doctor does hate it when men cause more blood shed than necessary. Also has anyone else noticed that lately, the women are being awesome while the men are being rubbish at worst, decent at best? Reminds me of what the Master said in "The Doctor Falls" (Simm!Master, not Missy, can't find the quote in gifs, but you know the one).
So, the Sontarans are trying to escape the Flux, and decided that Earth was to be the new safe Sontaran Empire, because the Lupari are apparently effectively protecting the Earth from the brunt of the destruction that's besieging the rest of the Universe. Meanwhile, the Doctor, Dan, Yaz and Vinder are in a weird temple on a weird planet with creepy, old, powerful mysterious beings that want to create even more chaos. We still don't know what the Flux is, or where do Claire and the Angels or what happened to Diane factor in this, but we are moving and getting all the pieces positioned on the board case by case. Fascinating! It's a chess game, a chess game wity massive destruction and tidal wqves of impact every time a piece is moved, but that's the beauty of chess, the game is never decided until the end. The Queen is still on the board and though the King (Yaz, for those following) is in danger, the game is not over.

So okay I've never liked Juliet Simms personality period but i have honestly liked some of her songs and even have them on my ipod. i just saw a clip of her music video for the song Anarchy...and i don't know her new music has me feelin some type of way. like icky, negative, dark vibes. i mean my skin didn't actually crawl but I had a similar feeling if that makes sense? Does anyone else feel that way or get that vibe or is it just me?
A/N: no i completely understand what you mean. i feel that way too but i assumed it was only because she's not a good person so listening to her music would sometimes give me bad vibes.

Why Jodie Comer would be a brilliant Master/Missy:
1) She's a fantastic actor and her Villanelle performance kicks ass
2) Her appearance isn't identical but is still quite similar to Whittaker being a white woman with blonde hair, giving a sort of Tenth doctor Vs Simm Master vibe where they're so similar and so different at the same time
3) she's brilliant at accents, so if a Scouse one won't do she can easily put on a standard English or Yorkshire like 13's, much like how Missy had a Scottish accent to rival twelve
4) the FANART can you IMAGINE
5) did I mention how good at acting she is?
6) her Villanelle performance gives off a huge "I'm the villain but also has good in the heart" vibes, perfect for the master
7) she can and will flawlessly pull off any look that is thrown her way by the costume department
8) SO GOOD at the whole "playful psycho child" thing the modern masters have going on
9) Dhawan Master may well have needed to regenerate after the events of the last episode, we don't know
10) the master doesn't die. They just don't. Even if they never explain of they survive, the master will come back, one form or another, may as well be in Jodie Comer form

re: writing advice tysm it was in fact very helpful! gonna read that book asap. so another question i have is about characterization: it's my fav part of your fic if im completely honest. i mean obviously i don't like how broken in every possible sense Simon is, but it's just beautiful how you write him so complex and layered. i just wonder how you come up with all these details that make this character so believable and deep? AND i was the anon mentioning the language switch thing and can i say i just still think about that concept and how much weight it added to Simon's personality, i just aaaahhhhhh! maybe that language thing was inspired by something specific? i guess i just wanna know how you came up with it bc i'm obsessed as you can tell 😭
ooh, this one is harder because all I can think is I go with my gut? Vibes? Lots of rewatching?
Interestingly though on language, after watching YR season 1 I did get the urge to seek out fanfic but none of it felt right to me and the best reason I could give at the time was 'none of it feels like it's in Swedish with english subtitles' and since I couldn't read Swedish fic I left it alone and moved on. Then after watching season 2 I had a lot of free time, watched more english interviews and after learning that they did their own dub I watched some of the dub which gave me more of a sense of 'this is what these characters are like in English' and I've had more luck with fic since and it let me get a feel for their characterization when writing. Which is not entirely the same as the use of languages in the fic, but I guess subconsciously maybe inspired it, this idea that when you're existing in a different language you have this freedom to become somebody else?
Also in terms of the details of his life, I did do some research! The timeline of Simme's career was loosely based on One Direction (although I think they went even faster which is WILD). I watched a couple of the Demi Lovato documentaries where she talks about addiction and fame. I read a lot of band/music stories (fic and published). And all of that sort of built into the details of Simme's life which take Simon from the show into where he's ended up now.

The Wise Man's Fear (The Kingkiller Chronicle, #2) - Patrick Rothfuss

-You know what, Auri is great. How great is Auri.
-Genuinely, I’m currently reading the book for Auri and Elodin and Simm and Elxa Dal and Kilvin and Devi. Not Kvothe.
-Argh, of course Elodin and Auri know each other, the little darlings.
-Eyy, I remember Basil, I liked Basil.
-”When someone tells you a piece of their life, they’re giving you a gift, not granting you your due.” Oh hello, can I get that on a poster, I love it.
-As much as I like the Uni people, I’m glad we’re leaving, something has to give - we’re recycling the same things.
-Things are slow and not boring at all, but they’re not really compelling either? A sort of ‘sure I guess’ feeling.
-I understand in theory that the stakes are high for Kvothe, but man, I don’t feel the tension at all. I feel a constant ‘Oh, okay.’
-There aren’t any real consequences. Are you changing, Kvothe, from all these grand experiences? I don’t think you are.
-I don’t care about the Felurian arc :(. It doesn’t feel as magical as Kvothe wants it to seem. Maybe I don’t vibe with the writing style anymore.
-I’m being told I’m reading an epic chronicle, but I’m not actually seeing an epic chronicle, and the constant reminder of ‘btw this is epic’ annoys me. So maybe it’s Kvothe that I don’t vibe with?
-I am coming to properly dislike Kvothe! Interesting.
-Yeah, no. Kvothe’s personality combined with his voice, combined with the plot, combined with it all just isn’t doing it for me. And it's literally only the "villains" that don't immediately or eventually find Kvothe charming.
-Even if one of the themes is to show how mundane things are behind the legends, it’s still dull in execution.
-I detest the baby-making conversation.
-There’s something I really don’t like in the depiction of women here.
-’I’m not like other men’ Kvothe, eeek.
-I consider it something of a personal feat that I didn’t DNF on the last hundred pages or so. A testament to my resolve. A show of endurance.
-There’s no character development. 900+ pages, and no character development!
