Hello! I hope your month has been kind to you. Your Rain World art is fascinating. If i may ask, and you could answer, something has been on my mind about one of your COTL AUs: What is up with the Lamb in the Golden Lindworm AU? I am aware of the Lindworm Prince story, where a prince born cursed demanded a princess before his brother can marry, ate two girls, and the last one had to soak him in wine and whip him at least 8-12 times before he sheds his beastly skin and marries her.

In this AU, the Lamb wears the Golden Fleece with scales like appearance, has a forked tongue, and in one of the doodles related to the AU Narinder apparently is confused seeing what appears to be scales while he shears the Lamb, Zielo? Does this mean Zielo is not a 100% pure sheep?

Also Narinder seems to be a bit of a pushover in this AU when it comes to Zielo. Is Zielo just that forceful that they intimidated him, or is he just into them being possessive like that? Zieoo being sassy with Narinder but also sweet and soft with him when he is injured is cute. Very cheerily jealous and possessive sheep.

Another thing, you wrote that this is the genocidal run compared to the pacifistic ones where the Lamb doesn't fight or kill the Bishops. Could you explain that to me what it means, as this confuses me since it reminds of the Genocide run in Undertale, another game with various routes.

At first Their name is Zlato. The name means "Gold". What about the rest of question... Yeah, name of AU is a reference for the story, but not so deep. I just love how it sounds.

Zlato has always been an ordinary lamb, albeit more self-satisfied than the rest. But the golden fleece influenced their character, revealing it to the fullest, and they almost merged with it, showing the features of a lindworm. It affected their appearance, their spells, their weapons (their weapons are sickles).

Narinder behaves like this because he was confused by this attitude towards himself, and it embarrassed him a lot.

Yes, this is to some extent a reference to the Undertale. I haven't played it and I only know the base. Besides, I would like the game to give you more choice. Therefore, I have a Pacifist AU, where Lamb leads a very measured lifestyle and greatly admires Narinder, but decides to help him by forming an alliance with the bishops, and there is a Genocide path where Zlato kills everyone who gets in their way, and they hold their flock in iron hands. However, Zlato does this to free Narinder because they are obsessed with him.

Random's Lore Drops - Sand Under Table (FR this time)

Alright, so basically, i hate my shitty sans lore drop so i'm making a real one. Ready? Because it's time for...

Cursive, Cursive the Skeleton. Wait what do you mean it's not Cursive? Oh, Sans? sorry. Sans, Sans the Skeleton.

Time to rant. Like, REALLY rant. So, Sans The Skeleton. You know him, you love him, or you hate him. I'm in the middle-ground. I don't give a fUCK about that twat. He's the face of Undertale (but most definitely not what defines it), as well as the first person you meet in Snowdin, excluding Mister Camera which people usually miss (it's in the bush right as you exit). He's a comedian skeleton who likes to play pranks, and also tells over half as many puns as Papyrus (wild ain't it?). His first introduction is not at the gate, but instead the walk to it, where you get to watch his shadow move around as you walk, and also watch as he snaps a stick with ease (don't ask how). As you might know, he's completely nihilistic, and refuses to fight you until you actually end up being a threat. That's right, first degree murder on everybody except those two Froggits you forgot about in the Ruins makes you not a threat, but a Genocide route does. Why? Well, it's simple. You become a threat to the timeline. Now, it's to note he DOESN'T remember resets, only being able to tell by Frisk's expression (which is not related to your input). He also doesn't have the deja vu that others have, instead noting down things during resets, like Frisk turning around before he tells them to, and them acting like they did everything before. He DOES, however, state that there are reports of timelines shifting left and right, which means he has some sort of machine to tell. It's pretty known, but the reason he doesn't kill you isn't out of laziness, but instead, having a promise. He outright tells you that he'd kill you in a paci/neutral route during the "date" with him. He is CANONICALLY only friends with Toriel, and even then, he never knows her name until the pacifist pre-ending cutscene, before Asriel. sans.™ literally could not give any less of a shit, but because he knew Toriel for a while, albeit due to the power of knock-knock jokes, he ended up accepting. He also states that he HATES making promises. His attitude really tells a lot, as, even in his boss fight in the Genocide route, he does not give a SHIT about it. He constantly looks like he's joking, and he does NOT act overly emotional in any situation, with the most emotional that he gets being to tell yourself to politely go fuck thyself by telling you to burn in hell, and calling you a dirty brother killer. He still CARES about people, he just rarely shows it. That "dirty brother killer" line really shows it. After all, how would YOU feel if broke into YOUR planet, into YOUR country, into YOUR town/city, and killed your only family member and then said I was above consequences for that. ...Ignore the "your planet" line. Trust me I come from Earth. It's also shown based by his room that he is NOT a clean person. His first stand stinks of condiments, he sells hotdogs at his own stand, and it's assumed that he LITERALLY has the exact same stand everywhere, based on the snow on the roof, which never disappears in any instance of his stand (stand, IS THAT A JOJO REFERENCE?!?!?). His only role, aside from comedic relief, is the final Genocide boss (which he is known as), and the guy to judge you before you go to Asgore, since that is his only role. Now, onto personal hate. People DON'T realize that he's not fucking FIGHTING you because you're a threat to the kingdom, but because you're going to ERASE the timeline, and when something's erased, it usually never comes back. It's because of the timeline possibly being erased forever, in which he fights you and tries to off you. He doesn't know about the "deal" that the Player makes with Chara, in which you trade your SOUL to recreate the timeline from square one. (my personal headcanon for if Sans ever remembers you're genocides is to go fuck off elsewhere, since there's no reason to fight, right? After all, you're not permanently erasing the timeline, he has no reason to fight. It may be erased, but it keeps coming back, even if YOU don't recreate it, because another Player will.)

Does anyone have a favorite video game(s)?

Leo: I think hed like calmer, slow paced games, maybe like stardew Valley or animal crossing. Also probably have played a lot of fighting games with his brothers so he's really good at them, even if they aren't his fave (I only say this because I can feel in my heart he mains either Peach or Rosalina in Smash)

Mikey: fighting games and first person/third person shooters for sure. I can imagine he likes overwatch, call of duty, red dead redemption, etc. Mortal kombat as well, all that stuff. He's good at them! Also being in a lobby with Mikey is.... interesting.

Donnie: I think hed like really complex puzzle/horror games. He'd probably have so many hours logged on games like The Witness, Getting over it, returnal, Hotline Miami 1&2, etc. Mostly games where it is a test of patience and dignity to complete. Don't get me wrong, he's great at them! But he INSISTS on getting 100% and beating the speed run record and all these things so he will game FOREVER

Raph: same boat as Leo. Tho I just KNOW that if Raph played animal crossing he'd just spend it all catching bugs and fish, and that's all LMAO. His island would look like TRASH (no offense)

April: likes story-based puzzle/adventure games. Ones that make you think about life. Definitely did the genocide route in undertale first try w/o even meaning to

(Just my thoughts) -> Will Sans be able to survive/fit in well in Madcom world? Because he has 1 HP and just one hit will be over for this skeleton man. I don't know really... Sans is good at dodging but it's chaotic in this world and I don't know how to imagine him survive in Madcom world without getting tired easily. 😭 (AND HIS PUNS... wonder which boys will roll their eyes at him, if they had one)

Hello! Thank you for the compliment, I appreciate it haha. <3 To answer your questions, given how little health Sans actually has, it probably wouldn't end very well for him in Nevada if we're being honest here 😅. Sans has a lot of powerful abilities, but his evasion mechanics rely mainly on being aware of his opponent's movements (hence why he was most vulnerable when he was asleep). It fits well for the more "melee-based" combat of Undertale, but it wouldn't fare nearly as well against guns (especially sniper rifles, for instance). Nevada's also very chaotic, as you said, so his state of exhaustion would also play into this.

As for how Sans and the grunts (and Player) would interact, Doc would probably be very curious about him anatomy-wise. He's a skeleton, but skeletons are usually completely stationary and just...not alive so he finds him odd. That and the fact that he can bleed, despite being a skeleton? Sanford and Deimos would probably be a bit put off by how weird he acts around you; he's friendly, but also really mysterious and keeps to himself (save for a few hinting remarks). Deimos would enjoy the puns though, as would Sanford to a lesser extent. Hank, on the other hand, really couldn't be bothered with him. He's another guy who thinks he's funny and another person to fight with over your attention, just what he needs. The only bonus for Hank is Sans' Hotdog stand if he decides to do something like that again lmao.

With the Player, whether they did the Genocide route would definitely complicate things between you (provided you didn't erase the world, in which case he probably wouldn't have any knowledge of it). Sans wouldn't trust you if you killed everyone, naturally, and it would show. Despite how he brushes things off, you couldn't ignore how tense things are around him, and how you feel him observing you on every occasion. The boys wouldn't be blind to this either, but even if Sans told them how you eviscerated every monster in the underground and ignored their pleadings to survive, they wouldn't really care. Any rational person would don't get me wrong, but the boys are anything but that when it comes to you.

No, instead they'd protect you from him. Getting in between you both and blocking his view, shooting him dark glares and near threatening him, even making it clear that if anything were to happen to you when he's around, they'd be sure to find out just how well he can dodge blows from a sword (or hook) and bullets from their guns. They don't care that he has a brother to go back to, or if he wants to see his friends again, he should've known better than to try anything with you. So really, it'll be his fault if things end up getting violent.

UnderWoZArD: I gotta explain this one, well... It started in a chat with a friend of mine. They wrote UW!Sans' nickname (Wiz) as "Woz" by mistake, and it made me laugh so much that I decided to draw this:

(Yeah Woz still wears the oldest version of UW!Sans design because it's sucky and the character has to be sucky itself.)

My brother asked me to make a comic about him, so I made it and developed the character (No, I won't post the comic). So for some reason Woz is possessed by Bill Cipher, but with his own... weird personality.

He created his own universe full of mouse-doodled UW characters called "UnderWoZArD".

ALTERNATIVE TIMELINES:

Genocide:

Frisk when killing monsters absorbs their soul... becoming a wizard.

The UWU Infection: You know the acronym for Underwizard "UW", but what if you put an U in front of it? Here. I hardly have any drawings about this timeline, but I have the story written down. It's based after the ending when everyone is on the surface, and this UWU virus starts spreading in the city near Mount Ebott. Everyone can get infected, and when you're, your face becomes like "UwU" and you lose control over your body, going around spreading it more and more.

Hopeless Timeline: (This timeline was made just for angst and because I wanted my own insane Sans.)

He got crazy after Flowey kept torturing him with resets and reloaded save files. Flowey made him go insane on purpose, because he was curious to see what would've happened. Sans starts to have no more hope of stopping him. Then there's all a thing about Flowey proposing Sans to escape with him and help him reach the multiverse, in exchange for no more tortures etc. Then Frisk falls in the underground and fixes everything with like 4 arcs and a longa#s script.

Hopeless Timeline - Amalgamate: A different ending for the Hopeless Timeline where Sans steals a lot of artificial DT from another universe, and uses it on himself to have more determination than Flowey and finally get rid of him.

Hopeless Timeline - Queen Alphys: Another different ending where, when Frisk falls in the underground, makes a genocide after Sans comes back home from running away with Flowey. Sans' friends decide to hide from him what the human did, and then they all die, leaving him alone with Alphys. She becomes queen of the underground (as in an Undertale neutral route where Sans is alive) and the story continues based a bit on Horrotale. The Core breaks down and the remaining monsters end up in hunger. But it ends with a happy ending where Salphys (Sans x Alphys) is real! and they adopt Aliza the human, living on the surface.

so to start, here is some larger fanart of Zacharie I got from my Something Seems OFF tag! (links to the full art post)

Now to get into the character. (there WILL be OFF spoilers)

So, I said he was pre-Sans not only because of his look, but for a variety of reasons, including that Toby said himself OFF was an inspiration for Undertale. I personally like to refer to it as, "If Undertale's genocide route was a standalone Horror game".

Zacharie and Sans share many traits. He is the merchant of the game and breaks the fourth wall A LOT. Multiple characters in OFF seem aware that you exist and are controlling the Batter, but Zacharie specifically seems to know it's a game and makes a lot of tongue-in-cheek RPG comments. Because of this, he does not seem to give a shit about anything, and is often portrayed as a lovable bastard. That cat mask? He wears it to replace the Judge character for awhile,--who's a cat with a cheshire grin--because you killed the Judge's brother previously and he is busy mourning him (which is heartbreaking btw). It's unclear whether or not Zacharie does this to mock the Judge or support him.

The only time you get a genuine response out of him is if you follow his instructions to find the secret boss, Sucre, and kill her. Even then, he only says, "...It's better like that" and then in the next breath continues to give you the best weapon in the game.

The biggest similarity between him and Sans is derived from a largely accepted fan-theory based off of some official concept art of Zacharie where he has angel wings and a sword:

There is also a story you can read in the game called, "The Frog King and the Masked Man" that heavily implies Zacharie killed the oppressive Frog King. The mask he usually wears is that of a frog face.

So, from all of this, fans came to the conclusion that Zacharie was supposed to be a final or extra secret boss as a final means to stop you and the Batter, much like Sans, but was scrapped in the end. I don't think this was ever confirmed officially, but it was pretty much adopted fandom wide as canon.

They released an album of scrapped songs for OFF that included a song called "Hip2-2". Most people believed this was supposed to be the boss battle theme.

(Adding my own personal evidence, all the major characters in OFF are named after Biblical characters. 'Zachariel' is an archangel, and while we never get a real name for the Batter, he would fit into the Satan role quite nicely)

I think a BIG reason behind Zacharie's sexyman status, besides his smug attitude and design, is alllll the mystery behind him. Like most things about OFF, hardly anything has ever been confirmed about him. What's the significance of the Frog King story? Who is Zacharie that he could just kill that guy? Why was Sucre so important to him? And if she was so important, why does he rat her out? How does he know this is a game?

The only thing that HAS been confirmed is that he is human, but that only adds more questions. This is a post-apocalyptic world where we see one other human, and they're basically God. Why and how is he presumably one of the two only humans left in the world? And again, if he's human, and only a merchant, how did he kill the previous king?

All of this also attributed to him being shipped with the Batter HELLA, which I think also might be why people don't remember him so much as a sexyman because he had two very popular ships, so people were thirsting somewhat less than they were shipping.

(Please note: people were also thirsting after the Batter HELLA, but I think that was less of a sexyman thing and more of a villainfucker thing)

Trying to remember my dream okay. So it started out with these dreadful situations of people dying from extreme heat and dehydration in deserts. The last of them was a group of men in the desert. They were recommended to take this one particular route which wouldn't have wells in it (??) but a woman said they should continue onto it and she would return with water. She did not do that. So now the men, already extremely dehydrated, realised they were royally fucked. And for some reason they couldn't circle back? And they were being scorched by the sun and the sand was hot enough to burn them. They decided their only recourse was to dig a well. This was difficult because they were all suffering from heat stroke and the sand was so hot that it scorched them when they tried to dig with their hands (and they had no equipment). Luckily, with them was a member of a non-human race (kind of discount elves) who was invulnerable to hear or dehydration, and he spent the whole day digging a well for them with his bare hands, saving their lives.

So now we go to this character - this elf guy right. Sometimes he was an elf girl you know how it is. He was also me but also he wasn't. So the land of the elves was extremely technologically advanced, fascistic, endogamous, and had extremely strict codes of social conduct related to marriage, the relations between the sexes, everyday life, and so forth. Its inhabitants rarely left their land, and the entry of any human, except in extremely rare circumstances (like the odd ambassador or whatnot) was immediately punishable by death due to fear of miscegenation. Because these elves who weren't exactly elves like they had no pointy ears and lived in cities but were long-lived and like. Quicker stronger had better senses than humans and were tall and svelte and whatnot were obsessed with blood lines and their society was highly stratified based on these blood lines. Everyone could trace their lineage back by millennia. And the idea of an elf producing offspring with a human was unthinkable due to their ideas of racial degeneration.

So anyway, even though this is extremely rare - unprecedented, in fact - this one guy leaves his land. What is known is that he is part of one of the most important and influential families in his land. There are some rumours that he is a bastard, though - the son of a woman who belonged to this family, but was unlawfully deflowered, and managed to keep this a secret until now, which is why he left. Nobody knows if this is true. He has a secret. He owns an amulet passed down in his family which essentially vastly increases his prowess in most things: strength, endurance, mental performance, etc. This is a secret. So everyone around him in this new land thinks wow this is just what all elves are like. I guess they ARE our superiors. We need to get on that sweet sweet technology we have so we NEED to start diplomatic relations. Even if it just means getting colonised. Just please no genocide please.

Sometimes the guy is a woman and sometimes in these scenarios her brother comes over with her. Sometimes not. Anyway there are a lot of interesting cultural things with how they interact with humans. They're very unused to this culture and are researching it extensively (both through academic research and through experience) and the humans want to show themselves in the best possible light to this ambassador (or is he an ambassador? He could be an imposter! Who knows) but like with the way he was raised he thinks the 7 wonders of their world are puny compared to a lower-class neighborhood in his country. It's clear he approaches them with disgust which he tries to hide, and does well - he does not voice his elf supremacist remarks, racial or cultural or whatever - but it still shines through in his interactions which is off-putting. He is also very cold and unemotional to most.

To sum up, potential reasons for their leaving:

They really were sent forth as an ambassador as they claim

They were forced into exile once it was revealed they were illegitimate

They fled when they found out they were illegitimate to avoid persecution

(usually when female) fled because they didn't want to go through with an arranged marriage

(regardless of sex) they were somehow brutalized by a family member (which could be because their illegitimacy was found out, they wouldn't go through with a marriage, they committed some kind of social taboo, or they just had a fucked up rich family innit) and fled

Some other combination of the above

Though he does form what amounts to a friendship with a female psychiatrist. ALSO Frederick Chilton from Hannibal the TV show Hannibal is also there. Just hanging out

ALSO just remembered Tam Lin like the border ballad Tam Lin was also somehow involved and quite an important plot point but I don't know how. I forgor [sic]

Also as I was in that state in between waking and sleeping I was like this guy is the pinnacle of discipline I now need to emulate him for the rest of my life. What Would The Main Character Of This Dream Do. And I was sleeping on my side and thought the paragon of virtue would never do that, as sleeping on your side is a sign of moral decay and degeneracy. So I switched my position to sleep on my back, arms crossed on my chest, like a vampire

✨ What is Damaged tale?

Damaged tale is an Alternate Timeline of Undertale that takes place in a frozen post-genocide timeline where only Rain remains.

I shorten this to DTAT! (Damaged Tale Alternate Timeline)

✨ Who is Rain?

Rain is an outcode, a glitch that happened after some events in his world. He is an amalgamation of Papyrus, Sans, and Frisk mainly.

You can read his reference sheet for more information.

✨ How old is Rain?

Being an amalgamate, I cannot really figure out an ‘age’ for him, because I could give him many kinds of age: Existentially, mentally, physically, etc.

But he is an adult, not a child. His physical form is a mix of Sans and Papyrus’, and mentally he can recall everyone’s memories and experiences.

✨ What are his abilities?

I will link this post related to him fighting + extra info

Rain is naturally a hacker and a glitch given the circumstances he was created in. Just with these things, he is able to read codes, modify them, and learn from them too, although he can be very clumsy.

He can travel to different AUs, but this doesn’t usually work as expected.

He can use bone attacks as a normal thing, and blue / orange attacks, but they come with some errors in functioning.

He wants to specifically learn how to take advantage of glitches to revert things to their default / previous form, this way he could do some good with it. (Thinking of it like a healer, for example)

Because Rain is also an amalgamate, it is difficult to damage his physical form or determine his stats, and he cannot ‘die’ both because of this and because of his Determination. He is not completely immortal, though.

✨ How was Rain created?

But in a rough summary, Rain is the result of an accident that happened in a post-genocide route, that involved Frisk, Papyrus, and Sans.

✨ Is he a Sans? / Why does he looks like a Sans?

I’d like to say yesn’t to this, but also Rain is not a Sans. Sans is only part of his amalgamation. And because Sans was the only person who ‘existed’ completely during the accident, his code ended up recalling his form mainly.

Go ahead! It always makes me excited to get asks. My asks box is always open, but if you expect me to draw something it might take me longer than something you would just want me to ask with text.

If you are expecting me to do things related to interactions or do roleplay, your luck is a 50/50. (Depends on mood or other stuff)

✨ Does Rain has alternate versions?

He does! There is Storm (Flowerfell), Momo (Underlust), Xine (Xtale but shitposting), Mist (Underswap), and a Human version.

✨ Can I draw your characters / make content about your characters?

I’ll cry. Yeah, but seriously. I would be more than glad to see it! I do not mind people @me at all to see, even though Tumblr sometimes do not help to see the mentions.

✨ Can i ship your character(s) with another character(s)?

For fun, I do not really mind. I myself like ships and messing around with them, but I am picky about who to ship myself when it comes to Rain, so it’s a maybe.

✨ Can I roleplay as him?

I would say no to that. Because I don’t want people misunderstanding my character. Sometimes I even think he could be too complex for me, so...

✨ Who are his family / friends?

His ‘family’ are basically his two big brothers: Insans (Tatatale), and Sappy (Sukk0).

His friends (Or some of them, mainly based on Roleplay interactions and because I get along with the creators) are:

Rain does not have ‘official’ enemies! Neither I am planning to give him any, mostly because Rain does not like to be a fighter but a pacifist, so it is not something he would actively do.

He is! Rain is kinda part of (Or a guest you could say) Magusverse and Warverse.

Based on your previous post, you said in the tags that you can fight both of the brothers. I was wondering how do you get to that point?

It’s kinda complicated, but what I thought of it is that, the Genocide Run will have kind of a split path sort of thing??? I’m really bad at explaining so ima try my best

BASICALLY normally, Sans will be the one killed in the end of Snowdin, but not in the normal “Are you offering a hug of acceptance???” way.

Hell, Sans, affected by the past, is still the one who believes the human can’t be a better person even if they try, Papyrus is still the one to believe the human

In a normal Pacifist/Neutral run, Sans shows up at the end like normal, but in a genocide run, Papyrus will show up instead (despite Sans’ warnings)

And Papyrus does his try to help the human be better thing, and if you haven’t been feeling too guilty to stop the run at that point and swing the weapon at him, oops! Sans comes at the nick of time and takes the hit, so yeah, he still dies at the end of Snowdin and Papyrus fights you in the judgement hall

However, theres the alternate genocide run, where Papyrus ends up dying instead (idk if its really distrust sans if its canon to swapaura)

This alternative route is basically locked to always happen in the genocide route after your first genocide route, where Sans tries to come to block the hit, HOWEVER, you managed to stop him by swinging that weapon of urs on his arm, he then just lies down in pain as he watches u finish his lil bro

I’m planning for this alternative route to be a little more different than just fighting Sans at end

A bonus is that, if you kill Sans at the end of Snowdin in a neutral route, he’ll straight up say shit the equivalent to “Fuck you” instead of being the forgiving lil guy Papyrus is

And when you fight him in the end, he’ll reveal his true colors under that enthusiastic and happy face, he’s actually a distrustful person who always thinks the worst of people and is really stubborn and stuff like that (he’s still a Sans bois, he takes papyrus’ role, but he has his problems just like a Sans)

He’s just a ticking time bomb filled with toxic positivity :,)

also, can we talk about how the god of the undertale universe is almost ALWAYS after Papyrus??? Papyrus is definitely important

We've never seen Papyrus without gloves, we have seen Sans without gloves(in a fangamer promotional video for the undertale mugs), but not Papyrus

even Toriel mentioned it on the Alarm clock dialogue

River person!

We know the River person is the only character that seems to acknowledge Gaster

And Papyrus seems to be the only character to acknowledge the River person

Papyrus knows them...

AA I can't place any more images, but there's an Undyne dialogue that says

"The river connects to Snowdin and Hotland." "If you need to go from one place to another, jump in!"

So, the existence of the River person may not be common knowledge

There's something off about him

There's just a lot of things about him that seem out of place

He doesn't seem affected by his death at all

Why does he have -2 followers on Undernet (???)HAHAS I wonder if sans follows him...

He's described as forgettable, even though he's a very important character

He's the only character that Flowey found interesting

He's vital for the pacifist ending

Why is he always defying the rules of the game...? and of physics

spoilers for deltarune like woah. this wont be kris focused just random thoughts on everything. thank you for giving me the opportunity to talk

not that many thoughts for this chapter tbh! EDIT LOL: this was a lie i have a lot of thoughts

-just in general i feel like the player isn't the only one controlling kris... like yes the player forced kris to do what happened in the snowgrave route but AT THE SAME TIME idk it feels like there's someone else too. just because of the terrifying voice i suppose. and also the jerky movement kris does every time they get their soul out? unless there's another reason for it... maybe getting your soul out means you walk weird lol

-BUT ALSO i feel like kris is 100% in control when they create fountains. idk it just makes sense kris would create them. to create another world, a better world, A WORLD WHERE THEIR BROTHER IS HERE PERHAPS? i do wonder why they get their soul out then though. i'm all for it sweetie! do whatever! i support you!

-(i am and will be playing deltarune with only kris' best interests in mind. i will not hurt anyone unless kris wants me to. dont worry my little meow meow im on your side! talk to me! no? okay ill stay under the sink its fine)

-and even in snowgrave you spend your last acts with the final boss calling for your friends like YES there's a way bigger creepy aspect to this (kris as more of a Leader who Commands and commands their subjects to come) but still :'0 (and then noelle answers oh my god noelle im so sorry for the trauma)

-like the amount of details added to snowgrave, like if you equip noelle's watch she notices later? and her battle animations change as time goes on, she gets an ice shield and stops sighing in relief after battle? oh my god? oh my god.

-also why didnt he turn into dust. so many possible reasons. is magic a thing in the normal world and perhaps no magic means no dust (theres graves). maybe he isnt dead. maybe hes braindead. maybe he'll come back. either way that boy is now in the closet big enough to put someone in

-also dess' name probably being december AND THATS WHY NOELLE LOST THE SPELLING BEE?!?!??! FUCK ME UP!!!!! JUST FUCK ME UP!!!!!!! OH MY GOD!!!!!!

-also so many good pixel art this chapter. too many? i didnt need pixel art of cardboard noelle falling on the statue. like thank you but please. please it hurts my game artist brain.

-the expressions in this chapter were also top notch. all the unsettling noelle expressions like (i fall over face first)

-i threw away the ball of junk (which i already tried in ch1) and this time the game was like "ARE YOU SURE BC THIS IS A BAD IDEA" and kris felt bitter :'( (it deletes all your items in the dark world)

-i uh fucked up and skipped the susie+noelle scene bc listen last time ralsei mentionned seeing what susie is doing we missed some PRIMO LORE. turns out it just makes you skip the scene and you dont get anything new. welp

-speaking of ralsei well you know. he exists. but im stuck on him going "i just wonder what being ralsei-like even is...?" ralsei my dude there's so much i could say about this. do you feel like you can't be ralsei-like because you feel like you have to be asriel-like

-but also that makes no sense bc susie hasnt even mentioned ralsei looks like asriel. and i cant imagine asriel being so meek. so WHAT GIVES

AND AFTER SNOWGRAVE APPARENTLY YOU CANT HEAR IT ANYMORE? HUWAH?

-speaking of songs the songs were all so good, My Castle Town rules, the berdly snowgrave music is stuck in my head, flashback is uwah wuahah, Until Next Time is so good, AND ALSO A FRIEND NOTICED THE DARK WORLD CITY THEME IS JUST tHE SONG 74 (MOST NOTICEABLE WITH THE SNOWGRAVE VERSION)?????? -you start the chapter at lvl2 and get to lvl3 after the final boss, a friend mentioned this is probably because we destroyed a world and im :0

-to go back to kris it's still so interesting to figure out who they are based on how they act/people mention them. like kris shaking the ferris wheel car? yeah makes sense i can imagine a pranking kid do this. kris' dance? yeah thats a little silly but i can buy it. doing cool anime poses? well i dunno this doesnt line up PERFECTLY but sure. BUT EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS IN SNOWGRAVE... especially >proceed like that is such a weird thing that i can't imagine them doing, but i can't completely see the "player" doing either (compare with going to sans -which kris doesnt know- and going "SANS!" because of course the player would know sans), like THATS one of the reasons i feel like there's someone else in there. the weird robotic merciless actions. if im going super meta it feels like there'd be someone else like writing the choices into existence for us to pick you know? gaster probably? god i need to read more gaster theories i completely sidestepped the gaster shit bc i wasnt interested. anyway just spitballing

So there’s been this theory going around that in Deltarune’s universe, Undertale is just a game created/designed/imagined by Kris and Asriel. And I support this theory, as it seems to make a lot of sense and has evidence for it (not gonna go into detail on that, because it's not the point).

But the two major questions that arise from it.

In Undertale, Asriel and Chara are either "villains", or otherwise corrupted (Flowey and the genocide route Chara). If they are meant to be Asriel and Kris’ self-inserts, why would the kids make themselves villains in their own story?

And if the world of Undertale is the kids’ fantasy, why would Asgore and Toriel still be separated?

These are based on the assumption that if we were to create an imaginary world based on people we know, we would make it idealized. This doesn’t necessarily have to be so in Asriel and Kris’ case.

So I’ve been thinking. Why would Asgore and Toriel still be separated?

Let’s look at the differences in the reason for their separation in both worlds. In Deltarune, the reason is unknown (yet?) and unclear. It could’ve been mundane – divorces can happen out of disagreements or falling out of love. But in Undertale, the reason is clear and justifiable: their children’s deaths have broken them and their relationship, locking each of them in their own grief.

But that would mean that in Undertale, the kids’ failed plan has been the direct reason for their separation, and subsequently, for the misery of the whole Underground and all humans that fell there. It would mean they were responsible for it.

And that’s when it clicked. These children. These itty bitty children. Who were creating fantasy worlds when they were little, in order to deal with a difficult situation.

They thought they were the reason for their parents’ divorce.

And, y’all, it broke my heart.

Because this is an actually believable scenario. Kids who grew up in difficult situations, with parents who either fought or were divorced, very often see themselves as the root of the problem. If it hadn’t been for me, they wouldn’t have to be together and fight. If I were a better child, they wouldn’t fight as much. If I weren’t there, they wouldn’t have to keep meeting each other after the divorce, and it wouldn’t hurt as much. These are all obviously untrue statements, because adults’ mistakes are never a child’s fault – but they seem terrifyingly logical to a little kid processing something like that. And it’s sometimes hard to believe when the adults try to convince them that it isn’t so. The guilt doesn’t always go away, and especially if it isn’t voiced out loud.

So the child sees themselves as a villain, like Asriel and Kris did.

Kris, who might have insecurities about being the only human in a town of monsters and looks different from their family, who asks when are their horns going to grow in and nervously shuts the book with pictures of other humans. Who would see themselves as a human child who hated its own kind, who fell into the Underground full of monsters and was supposed to be their hope – but while trying to fulfill that expectation, tore their monster family apart. Because they were a human, not a monster like their parents – maybe they thought that if they were their biological child, Asgore and Toriel would still be together.

Asriel, who might have seen his parents’ relationship falling apart, who might have thought that as the older brother, he should know what to do, who might’ve felt like if he had just done something instead of idly watching, he could’ve prevented it. Who would see himself as a scared crybaby, incapable of speaking his mind to prevent a tragedy, and later incapable of following through with a plan. Maybe wanting to lash out, wanting to be powerful and unfeeling and uncaring, like a flower who doesn’t have a soul, and can’t feel hurt when his loved ones suffer. Because maybe if he had just done something better, something differently, if he could turn back time and manipulate the events to a satisfying outcome – maybe his parents would still be together. Or maybe, if he felt no love towards anyone, even them – then it wouldn’t hurt as much when it all fell apart.

These children see themselves as villains in their own story, because it makes more sense that it was their fault, that it was something they did that made everything worse. Because understanding and accepting that you had no say in it, that sometimes things are terrible just because they are regardless of what you do, that your choices don’t always matter... can sometimes be more difficult.

Summary of all AUs I talked about (with little descriptions) - Part 2

Part 1 Part 3

Dustbelief - a mix between Dusttale and Disbelief. Paparyus went insane after seeing his brother getting killed nonstop. Ohoho boy i love the concept :)

Feraltale - everything is the same as Undertale, but the underground is sick... This sickness makes some monsters go really feral. Hehe I'm into it

Feral! frisk- Frisk is a child who lived in the forest and grew up very feral. By accident they fell to the underground and got "adopted" by Papyrus. The art style is SO CUTE

Gaster's great escape- gaster is trapped by Chara and had to leave their sons, Sans and Papyrus. What was his surprise, when he found out that his children were living on the little project he was working : Deltarune !

Magustale- a super cute concept AU where Chara is a experiment that fell into a strange underground. There's not a comic yet but there's already our main cast :)

Damaged Tale - after a geno route, Frisk, Papyrus and Sans soul got merged and someone new was born: Rain. He is cheerful and alone... But not for so long :)

Floweypot Au - after a post pacifist route, Frisk decides to bring Flowey with them to the surface, even if Flowey doesn't understand why he should keep living. The art style is so cute it hurts

TerrorTale - in this AU there's not much info, just that the underground is dangerous, violent and sad :( . In this AU we meet the Terror sans, who is a mix between Underlust and horrortale :0

Twistedtale - after getting his skull smashed by Sans, Papyrus got a coma, went crazy, killed everyone and bla bla bla. The usual cute stuff 💕

Detale- this angsty AUs is based on a debug mode and OH BOI ITS GOOD

Quantumtale- Frisk wants to save all the monsterkind after a neutral run, so they accidentally go back in time :D

Tidetale - After 100 pacifists runs, the player who loved data mining, wanted to test if they can do something different. Somehow, Sans ends up with a new bloodthirsty, robotic, brother.

The skeleton games- post pacifist sans is living alone and meets a strange vampire neighbor. They hate each other, then become friends and then you shipp as hell. nice

Naturetale- concept au where the monsters are all peaceful and vegan lol

Fatal Error- Geno e Error merged after a big fight. Their memories is fuzzy and the speech is weird. But on their minds there's only one thing clear: "i want my Papyrus back"

Goth- the first Shipp child I'm talking here. It's the child of Geno and Error.

Paper Crane - A mix of many sanses with a survival instinct! He has a dangerous power and no memory :) ITS SO INTERESTING aaa

Charatale- in a fight between Charas and Frisks, the Chara lost and got trapped in the underground. But one day... A Frisk(?) falls... WTF THIS CONCEPT IS SO DISTURBINGLY FUNNY LMAO💕

Datatale- a post pacifist route where Frisk and their android brother, Data, are now living in the surface with a grumpy ghost Chara. It's a ask blog for now but it is cute :D

Revolutiontale- there wasn't a war between humans and monsters.... Yet :)

Exiletale- after a big fight, Frisk couldn't use the reset button anymore, instead he finds a new button: the exile.

Chance!tale- an AU talking about Ace's past and present. I absolutely love the concept, their powers are so COOL 💕

Fellswapx- another take on Fellswap, with a sassy Chara, a merciless sans and a hottie toriel 👉👈

Eclipsetale- a mix between Dreamtale and Underswap :), instead of mah boi Nightmare wreaking havoc, he's actually running away from his brother who is very into toxic positivity :D love this dynamic.

Unexpected guests- after watching some anime in a post pacifist route, Papyrus summons a Dragon freaking Gaster Blaster. So i guess we got a cute pet now :)

Accursed AU- A black mage revives the underground after a post genocide route... But what's broken, can't be fixed

Hollowtale- a mix between Hollow knight and Undertale! SO CUTE 🥰

Choromatale- a grown up Frisk lives with Toriel for a while, but after some scary stuff, they have to go

SwapOut- Papyrus from Underswap ends up on the Undertale world.... On a genocide route :D

Soulbound- after a lot of Geno routes, Sans has not other choice then to inject himself with Determination. AND THINGS GO DOWN FROM HERE UHUUU

Under/source- after getting the world destroyed again and again by a glitchy being. Sans thinks that enough is enough.

Impostortale- A copycat ends up on the underground and starts learning about themselves, their powers while discovering new things. Really nice 👍

Ferntale- a being with plant like powers ends up on a place full of nature. He ends up descovering another power of his, the power to travel AUs :D

Crystaltale- 3 humans end up on Undertale while messing up accidentally the flow of the multiverses :D

Kingdom of crystal sky- Frisk is a runaway princess who ends up falling to a really stylish underground huhuhu

The Alpha timeline- it's a fic about how a human very close with the Horrortale bone bros travelled to universe with a lot of different AUs :0

Moontale- After going geno route a lot, Frisk is excited to kill Sans. But the skeleton bails out tiredly, making Frisk reset angrily. But then, Sans just don't come back

The missing scarf- Papyrus scarf went missing after being found with a cute new and misterious skeleton :D

Undergate- a Frans AU were Frisks discovers a glowing key and uses it to find the monsterkind and film a documentary :D

Under orchestra- a concept AU where the battles are musical and the human soul is the "missing note" to free the monsterkind
