10 QL people I want carnally aesthetically

Sooooo as your local ace, I couldn't complete the lovely tag from @sunshinesanctuary with carnally, cause....I don't think that way. BUT with a little chit chat in DMs with @luckydragon10 I was able to cobble together a list of aesthetically pleasing people from Queer Love series.

Cool I'm going to start with the two who lured me into Thai BL cause why not.

**note the following gifs will not be the most flattering, but instead the most hilarious ones I find on tumblr's atrocious gif search.

10. Tan (Max Nattapol) - Manner of Death

What can I say, I like a good cheeky monkey who has no idea what to do with the pretty man that has just kissed him. He has his little shit face on here, and that's about all it takes to lure in my ace heart.

9. Bunn (Tul Pakorn) - Manner of Death

What an orange cat of a man. Like, what were you thinking was going to happen (spoiler he was checking for a gun I think? sus little bean) but that is a horrible way to go about that. Charmed the shit out of me from the get go, he absolutely deserves to be on this list. Also that shirt is doin' werk.

8. Phupha (Earth Pirapat) - A Tale of a Thousand Stars

Right, so, as far as aesthetics go, this man is already pretty, but then they stuck him in a uniform, and I've always been a sucker for a uniform. He gives gremlin vibes this entire show, despite the serious face that is just stuck like that. (I am starting to sense a pattern...).

7. Prapai (Fort Thitipong) - Love in the Air

What does this man do? Seemingly, nothing. He has way too much time on his hands and a clearly overworked secretary, but I will say the lack of brain cells and puppy dog eyes kinda worked for me. (not enough to finish the series, but I was digging him).

6. Jang Jae Young (Park Seo Ham) - Semantic Error

I love how freakishly tall this man is. Once again I have found an absolute terror of a man (this one totally has a golden heart) and latched onto him instantly. The fact that he came with a built in size difference is just the icing on the cake.

5. Choi Yu Na (Song Ji Oh) - Semantic Error

Ummm. Yeah Imma just let that gif speak for itself. Immaculate babe, just keep doing what you're doing.

OKAY from here on it's just KP I don't know what y'all were expecting otherwise.

4. Tay (Us Nititorn) - KinnPorsche the Series

My love affair with Tay is long standing and undying. This is the best I could do to find a silly gif of him. Honestly I think that speaks to why he is so high on the aesthetic list. Poor man lost in a google coin toss to Big 😭

3. Big (Nodt Nutthasid) - KinnPorsche the Series

That right there ladies and gentlemen, is peak bodyguard performance, losing your shit over the new kid. All jokes aside there's something about this man's face that makes me wanna stare at it from like every angle. Give this man another role so I can stare at him more, please.

2. Porsche (Apo Nattawin) - KinnPorsche the Series

Ahhh Apo and his amazing faces. There is a unique ability to demonstrate just how little is going on in a character's head, and Apo has it DOWN. Porsche my darling, aesthetically your a freaking masterpiece, but baby if you think too hard you might hurt yourself. (Yes I am aware the theme is getting worse). THAT BEING SAID. Holy shit when you clean this boy up he is a force to recon with. That green suit??? it haunts me. Aesthetics on point with this brat.

Kinn (Mile Phakphum) - KinnPorsche

Right so this last one was actually hard to pick between Porsche and Kinn, buuuuut if I'm going form a character aesthetic approach I have to give the #1 spot to Kinn. My man slays through the majority of this show with suits on point, and cocky faces galore. I kinda hate him a little bit for how long I had to scroll to find an unflattering gif. EVEN HERE HE LOOKS GOOD he just got his dick sucked too hard in a helicopter to pull off suave. *throws hands up in the air* I just wanna put him in my pocket and take him out and shake him every once and a while.

I am very late to this game but I am going to inflict this on a couple people I think who haven't been tagged and whose answers I would find amusing. @lady-guts @fairhairedkings @medievalraven @stoeptepel @dr-lemurr

Even if that means convincing his nemesis/sexuality-crisis-inducing/clandestine hook-up partner/somewhat of an actual friend to pretend to be his soulmate in order to pull it off. It's both more and less complicated than it sounds.

“Let’s do this,” he says. “Let’s,” Alex agrees, pushing down on the handle until the door swings open. “After you, boyfriend.” This is most definitely not his finest idea. Henry usually practices much better self preservation skills. Much better common senseskills. He steps over the threshold of Alex’s room and it feels like sealing his fate. They’re doing this for Alex to win over their bosses in a lighthearted game with a harmless lie, but Henry can’t fight off the bitter knowledge that, regardless of how tonight goes, Alex will be fine, but Henry has so much to lose.

A/n: so I made this for @lynn-w3st about our ocs being besties, I did change some stuff about mk11 (Takeda is 20, liu kang and my oc who are twins are 23 in the old timeline and stayed that age. This is set in mk1 not mk11 but katsuo does talk about it with riko and who she was in a relationship with)

Sorry Lynn if I didn't write riko right I tried 😭

Summary: katsuo is having a relaxing day but it's incredibly lonely so what's better then grabbing your archivist best friend who never rests a much deserved break and talk about love

No ones pov

As katsuo walks through the dense forest, finally coming out to the edge of the fire temple. She sighs, lonely as everyone is busy doing there own thing. She then has a bright idea, why not go and snag her brothers assistant, her best friend. She then makes a B line to the grand library, running up the stairs and opening the door. Katsuo then walks around the library looking for riko before calling out to her

"RIKO! YOU IN HERE?" katsuo yells out, even though knowing she'll be scolded for yelling

"What did I say about yelling in here, katsuo" riko said annoyed, a hand on her hip.

"Haha sorry..." Katsuo said sweatdropping, "I wanted to ask you if you like to come and relax with me?"

"You know I have work to do right?" Riko said with a 'really' look

"Oh come on, all you do is work and you need rest! So let's go!" Katsuo said grabbing rikos hand and running out of the library, dragging riko along with her

⛩️Time skip⛩️

Soon katsuo stops running, stopping at a magnificent sight riko holds a shocked face.

Katsuo had found this old ruin of a long forgotten kingdom, hidden away from everything. She knew riko would love something like this, so thus she took her here. Katsuo then pulls riko along to the thrown room that is decorated with fairy lights, plush couches and pillows. Then she sees the Japanese style table full of foods, snacks and drinks of all sorts.

(It's cleaned up and has all the above)

"W-wow, how did you find this place and do all this?" Riko asks as she looks at katsuo, who in return smiles lightly before explaining.

"You know I tend to wonder when board and I happen to have found this place, cleaned it up and made it a hangout."

"Come let's eat and then we can explore." Katsuo said happily

They both walk over and sit down and start eating the food katsuo made, then katsuo asked her a question

"Sooooo have you asked out Tomas out yet?" Katsuo ask tilting her head

Riko spits out the drink she was sipping, coughing hard.

"Wh-what kind of question is that!?" She said still coughing lightly

"Well I see how you look at him and I see how he looks at you Koko" katsuo said with soft voice of gentle encouragement

"And how would you know that he loves me? Last I heard you don't know anything about love" riko says the last part bluntly

"Haha, I did like some one from my old timeline, it was kuai Liang who was devoted and disciplined but this new kuai Liang is arrogant and his fire if fueled by anger and hate, what happens when you lose that anger and hate for happiness and understanding? Your fire will cease to exist, fire should be fueled by positive emotions. I then fell inlove with Takeda takahashi who was kenshis son, a troubled but kind man that I loved very much" katsuo said tone of her voice shifting frequently from happy to disgust and disdain to a infatuated tone.

Riko sits and listens to katsuo quietly, looking and observing her. Noticing sadness in her eyes hidden by the loving but somber gaze

"I want you to confess and make memories with him, something may happen in the future riko, you will regret and reminisce of what could have been. Don't make the mistake of keeping your feelings a secret. The future is not guaranteed" katsuo says looking softly at her

"I'll try and do it katsuo, I'll do my best" riko says determined but a little scared of the possible rejection

"And that's all I could ever want, is for you to try and know you did, then live with the guilt that you never did" katsuo says understandingly

And so katsuo and riko spend hours on how riko confess her feeling to Tomas, laughing about old memories and exploring the old ruins that were once the kingdom of love

Summer is here! Let me therefore present some wolfstar!road trip recs! There’s just something amazing about these kinds of marauders-on-vacation types of fics. I don’t know what it is, I just love them. So here we go!🚘🏕

Hard To Find, by accioromulus (13k)

The air conditioning is already broken, Sirius's back has been effectively glued to the leather seat via sweat, and this road-trip may have been a Very Bad Idea.

Definitely my fav road trip fic EVER. This is just sooooo beautiful, in every way. It’s so soft and sweet and cute and perfect and I love it. READ IT!🚘🚘

Harmonicas, Hinky-punks, and Heather, by @squidgilator (23k)

Sirius and Remus get stranded in Scotland on Order business, and decide to walk to Hogwarts. Featuring the Brontës, a harmonica, a shrinking tent, and some self-discovery.

A post-Hogwarts (first war) fic with absolutely no angst. This is incredibly sweet and funny, clever and well-written. Read it!

All Your Glory In Your Form, by ohkay (2k)

In the aftermath of Sirius leaving the Noble and Most Ancient Mausoleum of Black, things go a little sideways, and Mr. and Mrs. Potter think the beach will cure all ills.

Super short but such a sweet fic. In which after Sirius has been disowned, the boys go on a little vacation. Well worth your time!🌊🌊

Camping, drinking, awkward kissing.

Oh I like this one! I’ve read it so many times😍 It’s a very marauder-y fic (basically the boys being the idiots they all are). A campfire, marshmallows, a game of never have I ever - what more could you need? 🔥⛺️

One for the road, by rojohbi (4k)

Piling into the car was uncomfortable and cramped, but there was something oddly satisfying about sitting on ratty blankets in the backseat, a box of fresh comfort food at his feet and Sirius’ legs splayed over his lap as the other backseat-inhabitant nestled himself into the corner and almost immediately began snoring. James met his eyes through the rearview, and this time when he saw the knowing smile, Remus smiled right back.

This fic was such a pleasant surprise! It’s a short fic, but at the same time it kinda feels like a longer fic. Gorgeous! A little angsty (but ofc with a happy ending), with a lot of Remus doubting himself. It also has so much feeling - it’s beautifully written, and kinda makes me wanna go on road trip. And the pining! Sweet lord, it was wonderful! I definitely recommend this fic🚘

Heat, by LadyAmina (2k)

The summer air is too warm. The campfire isn't helping. Neither is Sirius's head in his lap. Neither is the burning blood in his veins. Remus is overwhelmed and something has to give.

A cute little camping-fic in which Remus gets a li’l jealous, when James and Sirius discuss girls (how could that be???)🥰🔥🏕

June, And Other Natural Disasters, by montparnasse (6k)

Sirius talks, begs, and bribes Remus into a spontaneous trip to Brighton the summer of their graduation. Remus loses all sense of direction; Sirius loses his shirt; Remus kisses the last moth-eaten vestiges of his sanity a long, sloppy goodbye.

This is not as much fluffy, as it is sexy🔥🔥 Honestly, it’s a little too smutty for my taste - but it’s still very good! If you’ve read anything by montparnasse before, you know that they write really well. So, if you’d like to read a well written vacation-fic full of sexual tension, then this is the fic for you!🏖

Remus goes on a camping trip with his friends, and discovers all the comfort and clichés that go with it.

Very cute!! I just love a fic in which Remus is pining - it’s everything I need in life. Go read it!⛺️⛺️

This. Is. Beautiful. Quite painful, to be honest, but so damn beautiful. It’s tagged with the very appropriate tag “light on the camping heavy on the angst”, which I’d say is very fitting. But oh, you have to read it! Just... the prose! Everything! I don’t know what more to say except give you this little snippet:

“But now Sirius is asking, not telling, and Remus is tired, and the tent is dark, so dark, and they are the only two people in the world, surely. And Remus wants Sirius more than he wants to be back at Hogwarts. More, even, than he wants to be fully human.”

“Padfoot, mate, you never told us you could read,” says James. Sirius whacks the back of his head with the guidebook.

Such a beautifully written road trip! A pre-slash fic in which Remus pines a lot.

There Is a Light That Never Goes Out, by @wanderingbandurria (2,4k)

Sirius might have a plan on the summer before seventh year that might not be completely legal. And he might invite Remus to partake in it. And Remus - he might says yes and find himself being Sirius' getaway car in an unexpected road trip through the countryside.

Or, a summer road trip leads to Sirius and Remus to review their feelings for the other.

A different kind of road trip! In which the boys are friends with benefits, and thus are pining away because of their inability to communicate… stupid lovely little boys! This little fic is absolutely wonderful.

Restless Rewatch: The Untamed, Episode 25 part two

Warning! Spoilers for All 50 Episodes!

Jin Jerks Continued

Jin Furen is all judgy about Wei Wuxian, so it's hard to like her, since WWX is our protagonist and whatnot. But! Jin Furen is actually totally awesome. She adores Jiang Yanli and takes sides with her against her own son. She knows he likes Yanli and works her ass off to do all the courting for him, since he sucks at it, rather than picking a random wife for him and sticking him with her choice. She's always gentle with Yanli in her tone and body language. And Jin Zixuan had to get his good side from somebody.

Wei Wuxian politely tells Jin Furen that it's all over (again/still) between Jiang Yanli and Jin Zixuan, and cousin Jin Zixun rushes up to argue with him, saying he's being too proud and that he shouldn't talk to Jin Furen that way, since she is his senior. Wei Wuxian, still politely, explains the clan politics that underlie every one of these Zixuan-Yanli interactions. As a matter of clan pride, the Jiang Clan can't allow Yanli to be insulted.

Cousin Jin Zixun immediately goes all in on the clan rivalry, beefing with Wei Wuxian about how much prey he caught. Everybody forgets all about Yanli's situation while they talk about the hunt results instead.

The Jin cultivators--parroting what they heard from Jin Guangyao--say that Wei Wuxian has flute-walked 30 percent of the prey into nets by himself. Lan Wangji actually decides to react to something, saying "30 percent? and giving Wei Wuxian such a series of LOOKS, oh my god.

This Wangxian moment is an important one, I think, because it shows where Lan Wangji's priorities are, and they're...wrong. He's continually telling Wei Wuxian "be good," in one way or another; trying to help him back to the correct way of being a cultivator. Meanwhile the Lans are totally fine with the Jins being murderous shits who feel entitled to insult high-ranking ladies.

CJZX continues to snipe at Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji continues to judge WWX for being unsportsmanlike.

Wei Wuxian says that he's just showing his capability, and CJZX tries to tell him both that 1. he's practicing evil cultivation and 2. he's just playing the flute. WWX offers him Chenqing and says "show me your capability" which I think is cultivator speak for "fight me, bitch."

Cousin Jin Zixun moves the goalposts, saying that Wei Wuxian broke the rules, and starts in with class-based dogwhistling, saying "it's understandable that you don't know the rules," and citing examples of Wei Wuxian’s previous bad manners at cultivation events.

Things escalate and pretty soon Wei Wuxian is yelling at everybody, threatening to tell them why he doesn't carry his sword, (which would actually clear up SO much) and saying he's going to beat them all using necromancy whatever is just this side of necromancy.

Cousin Jin Zixun tosses his birth status at him, and then it's ON. Scary music, shaking fist, Chenqing booting up...

Lan Wangji, who has been singularly unhelpful since CJZX started talking, suddenly forgets his judginess as he's swept into motion by his constant fear of whatever is going to happen next time Wei Wuxian loses his temper.

He rushes to Wei Wuxian’s side, grabs his wrist, says his name, and wills him to chill the fuck out. Jiang Yanli joins him, grabbing Wei Wuxian's other arm, and Wei Wuxian manages to get control of himself.

Queen Yanli

Yanli has had it, and she has Wei Wuxian stand behind her while she goes to politely reduce Cousin Jin Zixun to a heap of smoldering cinders.

First she recaps CJZX's accusations against Wei Wuxian; says she doesn't know a lot about the hunt, and apologizes formally on her brother’s behalf. WWX says "Shijie!" but she shakes her head at him and he shuts up.

CJZX laughs and tells her, in a tone designed to infuriate Wei Wuxian even further, that Wei Wuxian doesn’t rate her apologizing on his behalf, and says that their clans are like family; reinforcing WWX's outsider status. I don't think CJZX is taking orders from Jin Guangyao, because he's way too big of a snob for that, but he's definitely helping JGY to move his agenda forward.

Even Lan Wangji is having trouble staying cool during this exchange; he is focused on keeping Wei Wuxian in check but he’s also angry himself, judging from what his neck is doing here, anyway. *Stares at his neck for way too long*

Wei Wuxian is super upset about Jiang Yanli apologizing, and he’s unable to hold back tears, even with Lan Wangji using the power of extreme staring to help him.

Jiang Yangli is nowhere near finished, though and she turns around and proceeds to tell everyone that they suck, that it's not Wei Wuxian's fault if he's more talented than everybody else, and that they are just making up rules because they are a bunch of losers.

Clan Leader Yao has the nerve to say that they know the rules "in their hearts" which is just another class-based dogwhistle.

Yanli defends Wei Wuxian's cultivation method to everybody, saying it's something he worked at and put effort into--that it's different, not wrong. She's literally the only person who defends his cultivation style, even though they all have benefited from it.

Then she gets right up in Cousin Jin Zixun's face and tells him that it's not ok for him to insult WWX by calling him the son of a servant, and she wants CJZX to apologize. (full gifset here) All of the Jins and Captain Blowhard Clan Leader Yao are SHOCKED at this idea. Jin Furen tries to talk Yanli down but Yanli politely nopes her away, so JFR tells CJZX to apologize.

He's saved from having to actually do it by the arrival of Jin Guangyao and Lan Xichen, who jump down off a box fly over to find out what's wrong.

Jin Furen yells at smiley, blinkey Jin Guangyao, telling him he should be able to figure out what's wrong, saying "aren't you good at judging the situation," i.e. aren't you a conniving little creep? She's bitchy but she's not wrong.

When the "30 percent" thing is explained again, Lan Xichen gives Wei Wuxian the same Lan Glare of Sportsmanship Disappointment that his brother did.

Lan Xichen: It's fine for my boyfriend's obviously power-hungry family to insult my brother's war-hero best friend in a bid to reduce his social status, but him using magic powers in our magical creature hunt is super wrong.

Jin Guangyao and Lan Xichen explain that they're going to open up more area for the hunt, but it's too late to make Cousin Jin Zixun happy. He takes his ball and goes home.

The Breaking of the Fellowship

The remaining group stroll slowly through the woods, Jin Furen and Jiang Yanli together, while Wei Wuxian walks at a bit of a distance and Jin Zixuan follows right behind his mother. His mother offers to beat him to make Jiang Yanli feel better. See? Perfect Mother-in-Law material.

Jiang Yanli tries to leave again, and is stopped again. This time Jin Furen tries to convince her to come back to the stands to sit with her and Jin Zixuan, and not to go with Wei Wuxian. First she tries saying that it's not appropriate for her and Wei Wuxian to be alone together. Yanli shuts that right down, saying that Wei Wuxian is her didi. Then Jin Furen says that Wei Wuxian has "strong wicked energy" and that he may do something evil. Like fighting back when he is ambushed on his way to a party.

Jiang Yanli repeats that Wei Wuxian is her didi, and says that she'll never leave him. JFR keeps trying but Wei Wuxian steps up and takes Yanli by the wrist and goes to lead her away. Jin Zixuan finally, FINALLY admits that he likes Jiang Yanli.

He is embarrassed, Jiang Yanli is delighted, and Lan Xichen is amused.

Jin Zixuan runs away and Jiang Yanli agrees to go back to Jinlintai with Jin Furen. Wei Wuxian is super immature unhappy about it....

....but he accepts her decision, in a nearly wordless exchange that we’ll see echoes of much later, between him and Lan Wangji. (Exceptionally cruel gifset here)

Wei Wuxian formally bows to Jin Furen, asking her to take care of his sister. Because he recognizes this for the parting that it is.

Jiang Yanli isn't wrong to make this choice. She deserves to be happy, and married women in this environment can't live with their original family. But she told Wei Wuxian, over and over, that the three of them have to stick together, only to change course and leave him behind with no warning. It’s not even five minutes since she said "I will never leave him." Wei Wuxian isn’t the only person making impossible promises in these parts.

Jiang Cheng and some Jiang cultivators show up, and everyone, including Wei Wuxian, tells Jiang Cheng that he missed an important scene, but nobody will tell him what actually happened.

Wei Wuxian says he's going into town, and he leaves Jiang Cheng behind just as abruptly as Jiang Yanli left him.

Jiang Cheng asks Lan Xichen what happened, and Lan Xichen says "there was an argument but it's mostly smoothed over now; also, Jin Zixuan says he likes your sister." Ha ha ha ha! Of course he does not say that, he says "You should ask your sister at the banquet" and Jin Guangyao says it wouldn't be appropriate for them, as outsiders, to comment.

I would like to see Jiang Cheng respond to this by beating the crap out of them with Zidian for being a couple of coy bitches, but he just furrows his brow.

JGY hangs back from the group for a second to tell JC that WWX is sooooo great, before they all head back to Jinlintai.

Insecurest Boi

As everyone is walking Jiang Cheng hears Captain Blowhard saying that Lotus Pier made a strong impression today, and that they'll be able to recruit a whole lot of disciples. The cultivators are of two opinions about whether having Wei Wuxian is a good thing for a clan.

Then a Jin cultivator says he heard that the Yin tiger amulet is made of the missing piece of Yin iron. He says he overheard it from Jin Guangyao. He says even if it's not for certain, the timing fits. Jiang Cheng reacts to this as if he 100% believes it, because Jiang Cheng is a dumbass sometimes.

He should just frickin’ ask Wei Wuxian about the amulet. Lan Wangji asked where he got it and Wei Wuxian told him, and Jiang Cheng, while they have their issues, is officially on WWX's side, so there’s no reason for WWX not to tell him.

The Jin cultivator goes on to say that the Jiang Clan ain't shit, that all their deeds belong to Wei Wuxian. Jiang Cheng takes all of this on board totally unfiltered. Literally everything that any Jin cultivator other than MianMian says is propaganda coming from Jin Guangyao, but Jiang Cheng thinks they're friends and doesn't know how to recognize manipulation.

Jiang Cheng is hearing the exact same criticism that Jiang Yanli heard, but he's not equipped to handle it, and instead of fighting back he gets angry at Wei Wuxian. Despite all his recent growth, he is still crushingly insecure, and this is hitting him right in his tenderest spot. Jiang Fengmian has a lot to answer for.

Instant Replacement Sister

Wei Wuxian is off working through his own feelings; he's wandering the street in Lanling with a bottle of wine in hand. Wen Qing, in her red Wen robe and her hooded cloak, is wandering the street in the opposite direction. They pass each other without seeing, in a moment that's excruciating to watch the first time.

But then some Jin cultivators obligingly push her to the ground, and Wei Wuxian, with his beautiful heart of fucking gold, hears someone who needs help and turns around.

For a moment he smiles in recognition, before the smile clouds over. Wen Qing, for her part, looks horrified; perhaps it’s everything she’s going through, but perhaps she can see that he, in his own way, is struggling nearly as much as she is. Meeting with her will galvanize him and give him the life direction he desperately needs.

A Day Late and a Tael Short

Lan Wangji wants to solve Wei Wuxian's problem, but he lacks imagination, so his best idea is to hide him in Cloud Recesses.

Lan Xichen points out that Wei Wuxian might not be on board with that. This conversation is short, but it has some layers, once you know about their parents' relationship. Lan Wangji frowns but doesn't have a second idea.

Part I - I Can't Do Everything But I'd Do Anything For You

Julian Pankratz, otherwise known to his classmates as Jaskier.

Aevryn twisted in her seat to glance at her assigned partner for their latest group project; their teacher having just finished divying the class up into pairs. She knew the cute bright eyed musician from class, but she’d never really talked to him outside of that much. He seemed like a cool enough guy, she just usually didn’t hang out with anyone outside of Valdo’s circle, and even that was hard enough lately with how jealous her boyfriend had been, she thought with a twist of her lips.

Taking a deep breath she forced those thoughts to the back of her head for a later time. She had a group project to focus on after all.

The rest of the period was reserved for project discussion and as Aevryn gathered her things to move to the desk next to Jaskier’s she caught sight of Valdo in the back trying to get her attention and stopped, tilting her head and wrinkling her nose in consternation as she tried to puzzle out what the fuck he was trying to communicate with his hand signals and exaggerated facial expressions. Jaskier cleared his throat from his desk in front of where she stood and she gave a start, dismissing her friend with an exasperated wave of her hand before sitting.

“Sorry, I uh --” Aev chuckled awkwardly, tucking her hair behind her ear as she glanced down at the desk, feeling her face flush slightly in embarrassment. “So, about that assignment hey?” she segued abruptly, not sure what else to say.

Jaskier snorted, flashing a grin. “Smooth, very smooth.”

“Hey what can I say, I’m the queen of smooth,” Aev joked, laughing in earnest now, thankful that her new partner had a sense of humour.

As they began to brainstorm ideas for the assignment she discovered not only was Jaskier a musician as well, but he was funny and also really easy to talk to -- a bit awkward at times, but who was she to judge? The queen of smooth, indeed. And despite the many tangents they ended up getting lost in, they soon had a solid idea for their presentation.

“This is gunna be so great,” Aevryn murmured, chewing her lip as she began making notes, flipping through her text book, unaware that Jaskier was studying her intently from the corner of his eye.

Feeling eyes on him in turn, Jaskier shifted in his seat to find Valdo Marx glaring at him from across the room. The dark haired youth narrowed his eyes as their gazes locked, bottle green piercing his bright blue as Valdo made an exaggerated ‘I’m watching you’ gesture.

Jaskier frowned, brows furrowing before pointedly ignoring Valdo and turning his attention back to Aevryn.

“Sooooo…” he mused after a moment, drawing the word out as though torn between curiosity and the fear of overstepping a boundary; unsure how his question might be received.

“Hmm?” Aev hummed in response, not looking up from her notebook as she continued to write.

“Uhhh, just wondering what the deal is between you and Valdo Marx,” he ventured carefully.

“What do you mean?” Aevryn asked, shooting Jaskier a confused and somewhat guarded look. She assumed that everyone knew they were best friends.

Wilting slightly under the intensity of her gaze, he held up his hands defensively. “Just… I’ve noticed you hang out with him a lot. I thought you might be dating or something,” he added offhandedly.

Aevryn blinked at him a moment before huffing a laugh. “What, nooo. We’re just… just really good friends.” She paused, trying to decide how much to tell him. “I’m uhm, dating René from the other class, actually,” she explained, her eyes flicking away.

“Oh,” Jaskier exclaimed, unsure what else to say. “I uh, I see.”

“Why? Were you gunna ask me out or something?” she asked, leering at him comically, the grin on her lips full of mischief.

“No!” Jaskier yelped, quickly composing himself. “No,” he repeated, somewhat calmer. “I was just gunna ask for your number, purely for school project related purposes, you know.”

“Uh huh, suuuuure.” Aevryn gave him a knowing look before snorting a laugh. “I’m just kidding. Yeah, give me your phone and I’ll put my number in. Maybe if you’re not busy after school we can get a head start on this thing,” she suggested, holding out her hand expectantly as the bell rang.

Sliding his Sidekick open Jaskier handed it over as the room was filled with the shuffle of chairs scraping back and the muted murmur of students collecting their things. As Aevryn began typing her contact info in Valdo sauntered over, backpack slung over his shoulder, stopping behind her and peering over her shoulder at Jaskier’s phone in her hand, his expression clearly unimpressed.

Jaskier eyed the other boy warily, his lip curling in disdain at the cocky grin that suddenly stole across Valdo’s face.

Everyone knew Valdo Marx was a spoiled rich prick who got everything he wanted without having to work very hard for it. ‘Well, maybe not everything he wanted,’ Jaskier thought smugly as he watched Valdo eye Aevryn.

“No,” Aev said curtly before Valdo even opened his mouth, his dark eyebrows raising in mock surprise.

“I didn’t even say anything,” he exclaimed, an impish light dancing in his green eyes.

“No, but I know you,” she replied, glancing up at him, fondness tinging her grin despite her sharp words. “I’m not telling you our project idea only for you to steal it and pretend like we’re the ones copying you.”

Aevryn turned her amused grin on Jaskier as she slid his phone closed and handed it back to him. “Don’t let him bully it out of you either.”

Unable to bite back the smirk that tugged at his lips Jaskier nodded, pocketing his phone. “Don’t worry, I won’t.” His gaze flicked to Valdo, who was clearly unamused at the turn of events, though as soon as Aevryn turned back to him, he was all smug confidence once more.

“Okay, okay, let’s go get some lunch, I’m fucking starving,” Valdo exclaimed, attempting to usher Aev out of the classroom.

Rolling her eyes her smile turned apologetic. “I’ll text you later okay? We can figure out when to meet up to work on this thing.”

Out in the hall Valdo let out a loud groan, clearly fishing for Aevryn’s attention as they left Jaskier behind.

“Yes?” she asked, fighting back a grin as she glanced at her friend, his dark messy curls bouncing as he walked.

“He asked you out didn’t he?” Valdo asked, disgust just barely concealed in his voice.

“What? No!” Aev exclaimed, bumping her shoulder against Valdo’s arm. “We’re just meeting up for project stuff.”

“Yeah, uh huh, okay,” Valdo continued skeptically. “Maybe he did and you just didn’t realize it.”

“Are you implying something?” Aevryn asked, frowning dangerously as she tried to keep up with his long strides. “Like that I’m dense or something?”

“No,” Valdo answered quickly, “I would never. It’s just —I don’t trust that two-bit musician wanna-be. It was obvious he was trying to charm you.”

Aev snorted in amusement. “Oh, like you do all the time? You know what he asked me?”

“Huh?”

“He thought we were dating,” she replied, gesturing between the two of them. “Isn’t that wild?”

Valdo’s face fell for a moment, his posture stiffening slightly. “Oh. Yeah, wild.”

Aevryn glanced at him, her stomach dropping strangely at the sudden shift in his tone, perhaps barely imperceptible to anyone else, but to her it spoke volumes.

“Would it be so weird if we dated?” Valdo’s voice dropped and Aevryn opened her mouth to respond, but before she could, René threw his arm around her shoulder, catching her by surprise.

The look in Valdo’s eyes before he glanced away wrenched at something deep inside her and she fought the urge to shrug René off.

“Hey babe, how was class?” her boyfriend asked, falling into step with them, effectively pushing between her and Valdo, who scowled and looked away, pulling his phone out.

“Uhm, not bad,” Aevryn answered, glancing across René to get a glimpse of Valdo, seemingly ignoring their conversation. “We’re uh, doing a group project, so I’m probably gunna meet up with my partner after school for a bit to work on it.”

She hoped he wouldn’t ask who her partner was so she wouldn’t have to either make up something to avoid a fight or tell him the truth and endure his jealous suspicion. Unfortunately her hopes were dashed.

“Who are you working with?” René asked slowly, his arm around her shoulder tensing.

“Uh…” Aev faltered. If she lied and he found out, that would be bad. But if she told him it was Jaskier, that would also potentially be bad. René’s jealous streak became infinitely worse when someone good looking was involved and Jaskier definitely fit the bill, even if she wasn’t interested in him like that.

“It’s me. I’m her partner,” Valdo said suddenly, sliding his phone shut and pocketing it before glancing at René, silently daring him to say anything. “Right, Aev?”

“Uhm yeah, that’s right,” she mumbled, breathing a sigh of relief.

René eyed Valdo skeptically, but didn’t say anything further though it was obvious he wanted to.

Sitting down at their usual table and plunking her tray down Aevryn pulled out her phone, making sure René was distracted as she slid open her keyboard.

Hey V. Thanks. I owe you one.

Across the table Valdo’s phone chimed and Aev watched as he read her message, his expression strangely unreadable -- his usual cocksure grin missing. He typed for a moment before biting his lip and deleting it and typing something else. However as he hit send and closed his phone his smile was back.

Yeah I know. I’m the best. x

Rolling her eyes Aevryn picked up her fork, sharing an amused grin with her friend before digging in, feeling somewhat normal, though she idly wondered what it was that Valdo had originally typed.

“Do you think we could find a lute somewhere?” Aevryn asked, the scratch of her pen pausing as she looked up at Jaskier.

“Hmm… mayyybe?”

“Hmm,” Aev mused, her nose scrunching up in thought. “If not, I suppose we could use a regular guitar, and we’ll have my violin, but it would be so cool to have the whole historical accuracy thing going for us, especially with the costumes I wanna use.”

“We could check ebay,” Jaskier suggested, spinning in Aevryn’s computer chair to face the keyboard, typing in the url.

Getting up off her bed Aev moved closer, joining him in front of the monitor, leaning over his shoulder. Noticing how close she was Jaskier swallowed, quickly averting his eyes back to the screen.

“Hey, this one’s not too expensive,” Aevryn said, pointing at one of the items on the screen with the end of her pen, completely oblivious to Jaskier’s momentary discomfort. “If I get it, do you think you could play it for our presentation?” Sea green eyes swung to Jaskier excitedly.

“Of course,” he replied, a cheeky grin spreading across his face. “I can play anything.”

“Oh, I sincerely doubt that.”

Valdo’s drawl at the door had Jaskier jumping, glaring at the smug youth leaning casually against the doorframe, his sharp green eyes taking them both in.

“Oh shut up, Valdo,” Aevryn called, barely glancing away from the screen as she leaned past Jaskier to grab the mouse. “And be nice.”

“Oh, but I am being nice.”

Jaskier watched Valdo push off the door and cross the room, throwing himself down atop Aevryn’s bed and sprawling his lanky body out; propping up on his elbow to idly flip through her notebook.

“Uh Aev, is this… a normal occurrence?” Jaskier asked, his voice pitched low for her ears alone.

“What?” she asked, following Jaskier’s gaze toward Valdo lounging on her bed. “Oh. Yeah, he’s basically here more than his own house. Our families are old friends, and they live next door, so…” she trailed off with a half shrug.

Jaskier nodded slowly, frowning to himself. He was beginning to understand. He liked Aevryn -- she was witty, smart, and genuine, but if he was gunna be friends with her he was gunna have to put up with Valdo Marx as well.

Sighing, he picked up his phone to check the time. “Hey Aevryn, it’s getting late. I should probably head home for dinner.”

“Oh. Okay,” the disappointment in her tone was audible, but she quickly hid it. “I mean, you’re more than welcome to stay for dinner here, if you want.”

“I wouldn’t say that,” Valdo interjected from the bed, but Aev ignored him.

“I get it though, we can’t really do much more today anyway. Lemme walk you out, Jask,” she offered, following Jaskier out of the room.

“Bye bye Pankratz,” Valdo called smugly after them, not bothering to get up. “Good riddance,” he muttered under his breath as soon as they were out of the room.

It took every shred of self control he had not to growl in annoyance as Jaskier walked next to Aevryn.

“I’m uh… sorry about him,” Aev mumbled as they walked down the staircase. “He’s kind of…”

“A dick?” Jaskier supplied without thinking, mentally kicking himself as soon as he’d spoken.

Aevryn stopped at the bottom of the steps and shrugged. “Yeah, he is.”

He knew it wasn’t his place, but Jaskier couldn’t keep it in any longer. “So, why are you friends with him?” he demanded, half expecting her to get angry, defensive, snap at him maybe, but she didn’t, she just looked thoughtful.

“Because… you don’t know him like I do,” she said softly. “Because we grew up together. He’s always just… been there for me.” A sad smile tugged at her lips. “There’s more to him than everyone else sees.”

Jaskier looked down at his hands, not sure how he should feel about that, but he didn’t want to upset Aevryn further. “I’m sorry, that really wasn’t my place…”

“It’s okay,” she assured him quickly. “I just hope that this doesn’t mean we can’t be friends too?”

Jaskier flashed her a grin. “Of course we can be friends.”

“Oh good,” Aev breathed, relief flooding her as she held open the door. “I’ll see you at school tomorrow.”

At the top of the staircase Valdo quickly slunk back to Aevryn’s room, rearranging himself on her bed before she returned. He wasn’t exactly pleased with how friendly she was getting with Jaskier -- the fellow hadn’t really ever appeared on his radar before, but now he’d have to start paying attention. It was what Aev had said about him though that buoyed his spirits, making the rest seem rather trivial at the moment.

He was special to her.

“Ahhhh blessed peace. The intruder is gone. Finally,” he sighed dramatically, flopping onto his back amongst her pillows as Aev returned. When she didn’t speak however he cracked an eye and peered at her as she sat on the edge of the bed next to him.

“Aev?” he asked, shifting to see her better.

She was so close. How easy it would be to pull her into his arms in that moment and hold her. How many times had he imagined that. Imagined brushing her hair from her cheek and kissing her…

How --

“Y’know, you don’t have to be a dick to everyone right?”

Aevryn’s soft words stopped his daydreams in their tracks and he lifted his head, his dark curls shifting against her pillow, a frown tugging at his lips.

“Yeah, and?” he asked. Why did it matter, as long as he was nice to her?

Aev sighed and shook her head, running her hands through her hair before turning to face him, her expression back to normal, a grin tugging at her lips. “I’m just saying, it wouldn’t kill you, you know.”

The knots that had begun to tie in his stomach disappeared and Valdo flopped back down, smirking impishly. “It just might though.”

Episode 10 - "I've been channeling Raffy's chaos and messy style" ~Amy

Colin survived omg omg. I went on call with him after tribal council and I smoothed things over with us. So I'm like the only person he's not hating right now. Also I literally told Colin everything. I told him exactly what happened which is so awkward if anyone finds out I tolf him that they all backstabbed him. Also Elle cannot be trusted!! Why would she do this? She's probably working with Colin and at this point I'm ok with voting off Elle. She really backstabbed the entire plan. Also Elle's idol is gone so it would be easy. BUT, we need to rid of the advantages that remain. There's not any time to get off people I don't trust. We need to expose every last idol we can. Also I know Brayden has an idol and I'm working with him but I might have to backstab that guy because if he makes it to final tribal council with an idol that will be big on his resume. Honestly Brayden will be seen as the most popular social player so that will look really good compared to me. So I might have to backstab my best friend before the time runs out.

Wtf was that tribal. Literally besides Colin, the only person left out of the vote and lied to by my own partner. Just when i thought things were looking up for me in this game, the rug gets pulled from underneath me again. I literally dont feel like i can trust any of them but for the sake of playing nice, I have to pretend that everything is fine and be a fake bitch for a day or two. Ugh 😑

I understand Colin is probably really upset and hurt because he felt personally close with me, but I don’t understand why my reasons for not saving him weren’t valid. When he tried to save Dennis, it rubbed HIMYM the wrong way and I didn’t want to betray 5 people for 1 person the same way he did that because it’s what gave everyone distrust. He said he didn’t tell anyone about HIMYM until after he heard his name, but that’s a lie as Josh and Jay both heard of it by round 8. I said that and then he said “well that’s still one person”. It’s more than one and even then, one person is one person. You gave us a reason to distrust you and that’s why you were targeted. I never told anyone about his SWP because I didn’t want to give him a reason to tell others I’m not trustworthy or for him to target me with. Ultimately, of course I knew Jay wasn’t going to send me out, but there was a real concern that Babs had an idol and that between me and Anastasia, I would go. So yeah, my concerns were indeed valid as it could’ve gone to a point where I go. I really want immunity this round. So bad. But if it’s not me I’ll be ok with my allies having it. But please I want immunity!!!

[this was earlier, but put it wherever✨] Sooooo so much drama these days, I used to be in an alliance with Jay, Brayden, and Anastasia but they're all in a megasix alliance except Jay is relatively new bc they swapped him out for Colin recently, Jay is completely in Jodi's pocket and RIP honestly bc I was hope our little Corn Tribe (we're both from Ohio lol) would make it far, Colin and I are firmly allies now and we have an alliance with Amy (who is currently Colin's no. 1 ally and I respect that she risked it all for him lol understandable) and are goin to make another one with Josh. Josh and I are allies and I trust him a lot partially bc ppl lied to him almost as much as ppl lied to me and Colin and being at the bottom is a good way to know your allies are true, they have little to gain 😂 oh and Brayden and Anastasia and I are still "allies" and idk Jay hasn't talked to me yet sooooo let's see what happens there!

I accidentally said that Josh was on the bottom out loud when I was answering him for the question who doesnt deserve to be here. Omg I literally ruined our relationship. I am sooo stupid. I literally told him i was sorry and he said K. Ok but he is on the bottom. Obviously he doesn't need me as an ally and that whole side has a plan. Omg Im ready to be blindsided lol. But also maybe dont vote out me. Josh really isnt that forgiving is he? That is crazy to me. I wouldve pretended to forgive at least. Now I feel even more awful because he never said he forgave me. Pain. Anyways I screwed up and now I'm just praying Josh doesn't gun after me now. But I did tell Josh the whole truth and apologized genuinly about the situation. Oh god I hope he doesnt hate me. I dont even want him as a jury vote I just cant take anyone hating me or disliking me. It makes me want to throw up. But I deserve to feel this way since I emberassed him infront of everyone i am so so stupid. Anyways time to plan who to get out. OMG JOSH JUST TEXTWD ME "It's fine Im on the bottom. My feelings dont matter" WHAAATTT OF COURSE HIS FEELINGS MATTWR I CANT BELOEBE IHURT HIS ACTUAL FEELINFA I AM SO STUPID WTF I AM AWFUL I WILL GO APOLOGIZE MORW NOW GOODBYE

it appears either jodi or jared are going tonight, and although they’re my allies, i selfishly don’t care. I’ll still be in the game, so that’s nice i suppose. I love jodi, but she’s paranoid and it’s a whole deal trying to work with her, if she got voted out i could maybe get some sleep every once in awhile. I love her to death, but frankly whatever happens tonight as long as it ain’t me I don’t really care. Hell, even if it is me, then whatever lol, I can get caught up on sleep then. Frankly this is where the game gets ugly, and i’m cool with staying out of the drama. it still sucks that josh hates me though, i genuinely like him, and i feel like he doesn’t want to be my friend beyond the game anymore. To me, i’m going to keep doing me. I’m gonna chill, i’m gonna relax, and i’ll play when i feel like it. My mental health is important, so even if i’m not playing as hard as others, it’s just a game. If i lose, i will not lose any sleep over it.

DAMN last tribal really killed the vibes in the game. no one wants to talk. everyone is scared of stuff getting leaked or turning on people. BUT ON THE FLIP side that means everyone is flipping on everyone SOMEHOW amy managed to escape unscathed. They have NO idea she's in with us and with them. She's telling us everything. it's actually insane to watch her do it. Truly international superspy behavior. We have our numbers and they have theirs. They made another majority alliance except they replaced me with Jay. Whatever, expected. its fine. I truly did not talk much to people before the challenge, I just laid back and let Amy gather information for us. The immunity challenge was absolutely crazy good for us. Elle winning immunity is perfect, and the fact they GAVE AMY the other immunity is also amazing, a testament to how much they do trust her. THEN THIS IS WHERE THINGS STARTED GETTING EXCITING so I still have my handy chaos idol. I was thinking about numbers and I came to the realization that we could get Jodi cirie'd out this tribal. Their side is splitting votes on Josh and I, and there's four of us. If we vote the other 4 people in that alliance and then play the chaos idol, it leaves Jodi the only one without a vote and she's automatically out. It was a huge risk but I brought this plan to Josh, Amy, and Elle. because of the touchy subjects it made me truly feel that I could trust my allies right now. I was voted "Who is your closest ally" and I'm almost certain it was those three that put me down. That means I can trust them with this plan. (I hope). Elle, however, brought up the very good point that Jodi might be idoled, it's very obvious for us to go after her. SO we also decided that we should leave no votes on Brayden and then theres a revote between the two. SO TLDR THE PLAN RN: play chaos idol and coordinate votes so there's a revote between Jodi and Brayden. Also we're telling everyone else our plan is to vote Jared, that way it's not too obvious we have shit up our sleeve. there is the prospect of them splitting the vote 3-3 and then we don't even need to use the chaos idol, we just have the numbers. The other option is they put all 6 votes on one person and then we do have to play it. Thats why its so good we have Amy as our inside source telling us everything that's going on with them. so yeah right now we're still playing it by ear. not a lot of people are online and available to we're just waiting to get it all sorted out. Hahahahaha omfg so after we yeeted out of last tribal and then elle used their idol apparently anastasia and jodi changed their vote to Babs so they still went home and we kept Colin's idol. We jumped back on the tribe call and it was only host Jay and Raffy left lol like we were ready for a tribe fight! But I think it turned out better because I am still getting all the info in the group. Touchy subjects was interesting and almost exposed us bc colin and jodi tied for closest allies lol which I'm sure it was like 3-3-whatever. But she said I'm the group maybe it was like 2-2-1s. So that's a relief. However. Everyone is being really quiet with me and our brayden - jodi - me alliance is silent. I'm concerned they think it is me who's leaking but from what I can tell jodi (and thus anastasia, brayden,jay, and jared automatically) believe it was elle who leaked the plan to vote colin. So idk how but I'm in the clear. I'm just waiting to be found out bc I'd be an easy vote out. BUT I think they believe I'm still with new himym because brayden chose to give me immunity in touchy subjects!! And elle got first out!! So we are both safe and the current plan for Jodi's group is to tell Colin josh and elle they are splitting but they will put all votes on josh so that colin flushes his idol. Except lol it's a chaos idol. And if that's the case colin wants me to vote him ☠️ but it actually keeps him safe so I'll do it. I would just hate for the chaos idol to be fake. I think I know where all remaining advantages are except the idol I think Jared has lol. So for the break down brayden has an idol he believes is real but is fake and he is not telling anyone in the group or jodi or me so as much as I like brayden I can't wait to see him play it and it's fake. Then Colin has Dennis's chaos idol and one more regular idol. I have the merge idol and a steal a vote. That leaves only jared's idol that we might be able to flush this go if they actually believe jared is the target from Josh elle colin. But if they don't we can leave votes off jared and jodi and we can vote out the unplayed idol or vote jodi out and her minions have to regroup. My biggest concern has been josh bc he really seems to not like me ☠️ and here I am risking it all to keep colin, elle, and josh in the game lol. So now colin elle and I have a three. Colin filled them in and they trust me. And we waited until josh calmed down bc he was really mad that I cut his rope in the challenge. Unfortunately I knew that he wasn't winning bc he's at the bottom, none of them were giving him immunity, and I needed to keep up the facade that I was with them 100% so I was guessing like everyone else on the most allies even though I knew it would be colin lol. So now colin has talked to Josh and josh knows about the chaos idol so I just hope he's 100% with us. Because if we play this right it's 4-4. And then I'm gonna have to reveal to them I have a steal a vote lol they might be upset I didn't tell them before but I've never said I didn't have anything (except to jodi whoops). Also now jodi is thinking worst case like wants me to say I'll vote out anastasia if it's a revote and also at 6. I was like "oh I'm a revote? I got you" as in if vote you out sorry girl. Listen I know I'm not winning and I know I'm not getting to the end because it would be stupid to take me at this point. I'm literally a double agent secret spy lol. However the entire jury WILL despise me but all I could hope is they respect the moves I made. But it seems like a lot of people in this game take things very personal so I really think it would be a completely bitter jury against me not that I'm getting there. I kind of don't want to use my steal a vote at 8 and hope they still think I'm with new himym because then we could simply idol where their vote is and I keep steal a vote for 6 and my idol for 5 and I'm golden lol 😂. And here I was gonna hard quit the game lol. I mean tbh they could just vote me here... Wait lol I'm immune jk thanks. Literally i think Babs is indifferent and dennis did like me but his vote would still go to colin. But if I was in f3 IMAGINE the story of have to tell lol and convince them all. It's the struggle of playing more behind the scenes but I really think someone is going to leave the info. I hope josh stays quiet until 7 when we should have numbers. Anyway all of this to say I wanted to play this game doing the absolute minimum and I'm spending hours and hours a day like copy pasting from the group to colin 😂 and now to our group. The problem is colin really believed jared when he said he'd flip and I was like colin no that's EXACTLY what he detailed he'd do in the group. And then Colin and josh were like wait anastasia and brayden may consider flipping and here I was like no y'all they are telling me / us they're saying that. Unless it's like a double play they are lying to you and that's their plan. All I can do is copy paste their exact messages and hope they believe me. I really do think they trust me bc I'm risking my life here. I just need to talk to Josh and explain the situation and I am with him not against him! Honestly this is such a great cast and they are playing very well. It'll be fun to see how it all works out. I don't think I'll be at the end but I would love to see underdogs take it. I would actually love josh elle and Colin at the end and I'd vote colin to win lol he put in work! I'd also vote anastasia to win because she has laid low so well with still having pull in the game. Idk it's a fun one that I think will blow up on me soon but I've been channeling Raffy's chaos and messy style bc I'm just here to have fun not to win actually lol. I am writing this while on a flight so I'll have updates later. Oh right our 4 group plan is to use the chaos idol and throw votes around so that like 2 or 3 people don't have votes then they are the only ones vulnerable in the revote and everyone who got votes is safe. Then we can vote either jared or jodi like that's the thing if jodi doesn't play an idol here I don't think she has one or no one is giving her one. I think my only chance to make it farther is to let the 4 group know I'm with them 100% but still keep my idol for myself hopefully until 6 or 5 but lol idk about that. Like I can see them wanting to take me out then. Okay that's all my thoughts right now.

Jodi: Seems to have accepted being voted out this round. Seems to have backed herself into a corner based on her logic. Too worried about advantages to see the right path.
