2. What does saving a person involve?

morose and pelle are of one mind on this, that they cant really "save" a person unless they want to be saved. so their strategy would be less about them swooping in to save the day and more about being there to help the save-ee get out of a bad situation. this is MUCH more pelles purview than moroses though, hes more of a "provide resources and encouragement without being asked" kind of guy whereas morose is more of a "im not gonna push you but im here if you want to talk about it" kind of guy.

5. What is your PC’s idle animation?

for morose itd probably be him taking out his grimoire and taking notes in it. its a grimoire first and foremost, but he also uses the margins as a scientific journal if he doesnt have one of his dedicated notebooks on hand

pelle would keep it simple, probably just doing some small turns so his sleeves swish around. or probably any other gentle motion, like rocking or swaying

17. What are your PCs favorite fruits (not including gay people)

each other

morose likes apples. probably has something to do with how long he was a teacher for, his students DEFO would occasionally give him apples before or after class

pelle cant pick a favorite, hes so jazzed about all of the food that mortals produce and eat and cook. he loves all food

28. When your PCs want comfort, what do they seek out?

each other

other than each other though

for morose, hed try to involve himself in his hobbies. this literally always means doing research and science and alchemy. hes been autistic about the arcane sciences for 200+ years and hes not gonna stop now

for pelle, who is very well adjusted, it usually means doing one of the hundreds of mortal hobbies he picked up in his retirement, or taking a walk and appreciating the worlds beauty, or talking to one of the zombie kids he takes care of, or meditating

generally speaking though when they need comfort both of them immediately turn to the other

Void

3. How would your PC describe themselves?

void is pretty difficult to get the gist of because their setting is so specific, but i will try my best

i dont think void knows how to describe themself. they basically just manifested into existence with full sapience and no identity. their entire character arc revolves around them trying to figure out who they are, wanting to be a person but convinced that they have no choice to be oasis (the dead god theyre the reincarnation of).

they dont even know that theyre a god yet.

since they have no sense of identity as a person, i dont think theyd try to describe themselves like one. theyd probably describe themselves as "the tear" (a rift in the sky between the material plane and a mysterious higher plane that no one has ever gone to, which is believed to be the source of all the Big Problems in the setting) or "the neverplane" (said Problem Plane). they might call themselves an etherbeing (a creature formed from the ether in the neverplane which consumes the ether of mortals on the material plane), but that wouldnt be totally accurate.

8. How decisive is your PC?

EXTREMELY indecisive. despite thinking its futile void wants nothing more than to fight their nature and just be a normal person, so any decision they have to make has to go through both their God Thoughts and then their Normal Person Thoughts. and, more often than not, these two sides are at odds with each other making it hard to decide pretty much anything. theyll freeze up if they think too long about any decision they have to make

20. What type of chocolate do they prefer?

theyve never tried eating food before. i dont think they could even if they wanted to. but if they could i think theyd like white chocolate best

31. What’s your favorite part of playing your PC?

I GET TO BE SOOO AUTISTIC. void is so autistic and i get to completely unmask and call it rp

actually though my favorite part of playing void isnt even rping as them at the table, its planning for future sessions and getting to go so deep into their psychology. the way ive set up godhood in the setting inherently poses a LOT of existential questions about the gods, and void is even more complicated because they want to fight against their godhood. theyre a lot of fun to explore mentally

37. What flower represents your PC?

so funny you ask this one for them because void is the only character of these five that has an actual in game lore related flower motif! glowing white dahlias! they spring up in significant places void has been to, they bloom out of the dust left behind by dead etherbeings, they can create them at will, etc.

Nuvia/Vilereth

(nuvia controls the left side, vilereth controls the right)

1. Does your PC believe it’s possible to save someone?

vilereth does. hes not usually inclined to do so (the only people hes tried to save is nuvia and nuvias sister elizabeth) but he thinks its possible to. he also probably thinks its a lot easier than it actually is. hes incredibly overconfident in his own abilities

nuvia is more of a tossup. i think usually he doesnt think its possible to save people (if he could have been saved then why didnt anyone save him from the cult who put a demon in his body). but if pushed hes still willing to try. but the list of people hed be willing to risk himself to save is very very short

14. How does your PC feel about white lies?

vilereth is lying all the time its his favorite thing to do. he loves to tell lies. he doesnt even do it maliciously (for the most part) he just thinks its funny. but he loves it he loooves lying

nuvia also doesnt care about lying. he doesnt go out of his way to do it the way vilereth does, but hes a very smooth liar (lots of practice) and he thinks that sometimes its just what has to be done so who cares? hes probably even a better liar than vilereth

26. How would your PC answer the trolley problem?

neither of them would flip the switch.

vilereth wouldnt see it as his problem. he wouldnt really care and he wouldnt see himself as involved in the situation unless he flips the switch, and hed rather not get involved if he can help it.

nuvia has a similar outlook. hed at least be tempted to flip the switch so only one person gets killed, but ultimately agrees that hes not involved unless he does. if he did hed see himself as responsible for one persons death, and he already has more than enough stress to deal with.

34. Is your PC an effective communicator? What is their communication style?

oh god no.

vilereth is always lying and making jokes to keep people at a safe distance. hes so averse to being vulnerable that he didnt even have a non antagonistic conversation with nuvia for 5 months after they were fused. even now that they get along (theyre gay btw) trying to get him to be open and honest is like pulling teeth

nuvia is also Not Good at communication. hes less afraid of vulnerability than vilereth is, but hes so completely conflict averse its insane. hed rather bottle up everything until he dies than have a slightly uncomfortable conversation even once.

38. How did you choose your PC’s name?

they were initially just one guy who i named vilereth from a yafnag pull. then when i made them two people i did another yafnag pull and got nuvia

Mickey Darling!! RAHGjsA a lot of his songs are like about breakups but they're all very upbeat and fun despite the lyrics. Honestly its so funny to me I literally found him because of a fanfic that used lyrics from say that you miss me (which like god yeah the author got me... it was extremely right for the character they used it for i know cause they're literally me). you were perfect & im so sorry is vry good and also I've had somewhere else stuck in my head since it came out...

Jukebox the Ghost. okay okay they just never miss! i adore like everything they've made but uhmmm I think the cheers album is my favorite still right now like dont get me wrong i love everything they've made but ajldnf how can I not like cheers. Brass Band and I Got A Girl are so good. I will say uh shout out to It's No Secret cause its inspired several pieces of self indulgent ship art I've made.

Streetlight Manifesto... The Hands that Thieve got me out of one of my weirdest music eras. I mean it's ska punk it's not too far from the uh protest songs I was listening too, but ska was more palatable than most of the shit that I was really into for a bit. Anyway listen to If Only For Memories too its good.

LyreLeTemps! god okay so i like electroswing a lot and ashutjak just fuck man Time Train is extremely mecore when it comes to a specific kin. A lot of the music i listen to gets shifted around depending to my shifts lol. Also listen to Nanana it's a close second for my favorite song by them other than Time Train

Groundbreaking, god i've listened to this guy for so long... I think all his music is great but the Anarchy I & II are my little guys I listen to them all the time still. They practically got me through quarantine... Uhm if I had to recommend a specific songs instead of just saying listen to the Anarchy Albums maybe VIP and Beautiful people. Those two were my favorites but jsut to get somthing from anarchy listed too uhm anarchy or media star

The Wrecks god another band I listened to a lot during quarantine... Fvck Somebody and Panic Vertigo are my #1s forever but I really like their new music too. Unrequited and Sonder came out at such a good time for me, unfortunately that means I have like four writings wips that have titles that are just the lyrics of those songs...

Air Traffic Controller is another band that made quarantine bearable for me god why have the last three just been quarantine time killers. Anyway I listen to Creature of the Night a lot because I love being thematic with my music when I pull all nighters. Uhhhh other than that Anybody got a light has quickly become one of my favorites from them too

Atarashii Gakko!! This is the only non english band I'm actively a fan of rn. My friends are like big into like Kpop and I'm more of a cpop or jpop guy but like even then I almost never find a band and get super invested. but raghg the choreography and vocals just everything really scratches my brain. I really like watching their dance practices idk its just so fascinating to me. uhm okay uh Fantastico and NAINAINAI yeah those i recommend them :]

The mountains and forests of Japan have long been the domain of the legendary Tengu, one of the most famous and ubiquitous creatures in Japanese folklore. The Tengu was a shape-shifting bird-like creature of the sky and trees, and they were seen as a protector of the mountains. The spirits Alkonost, Gamayun and Sirin are a mythical Tengu like creature with halve bird bodies in Russian Folktales. Similar to their neighboring Japanese folktales, these winged spirits possess a great deal of power when provoked.

Sirin

Sirin is a mythological creature of Russian legends, with the head and chest of a beautiful woman and the body of a bird (usually an owl). According to myth, the Sirins lived "in Indian lands" near around the Euphrates River.

These half-women half-birds are directly based on the Greek myths and later folklore about sirens. They were usually portrayed wearing a crown or with a nimbus. Sirins sang beautiful songs to the saints, foretelling future joys. For mortals, however, the birds were dangerous. Men who heard them would forget everything on earth, follow them, and ultimately die. People would attempt to save themselves from Sirins by shooting cannons, ringing bells and making other loud noises to scare the bird off. Later (17-18th century), the image of Sirins changed and they started to symbolize world harmony (as they live near paradise). People in those times believed only really happy people could hear a Sirin, while only very few could see one because she is as fast and difficult to catch as human happiness. She symbolizes eternal joy and heavenly happiness.

The legend of Sirin might have been introduced to Kievan Rus by Persian merchants in the 8th-9th century. In the cities of Chersonesos and Kiev they are often found on pottery, golden pendants, even on the borders of Gospel books of tenth-twelfth centuries. Pomors often depicted Sirins on the illustrations in the Book of Genesis as birds sitting in paradise trees.

Sometimes Sirins are seen as a metaphor for God's word going into the soul of a man. Sometimes they are seen as a metaphor of heretics tempting the weak. Sometimes Sirins were considered equivalent to the Polish Wila. In Russian folklore, Sirin was mixed with the revered religious writer Saint Ephrem the Syrian. Thus, peasant lyrists such as Nikolay Klyuev often used Sirins as a synonym for poet.

im so glad ive been taught to ride by people who respected and loved and understood horses bc. even in the non-elite equestrian world abuse is way too normalized, Especially when it comes to horses used for riding lessons (and especially in those places that are less professional, more abt the money, or touristy). the amount of times ive come across clearly exhausted & overworked horses, malnutritioned horses, those too old to still b working almost daily, those who were clearly lame or had some physical discomfort being ignored, saddle sores.... warranted bad attitudes or just outright depressed-like states bc they were overworked and constantly dealing with bad, unknowing new rides who are allowed to pull and jab and whip them and barely taught how to ""ride."" and ive seen plenty of outright bad or dangerous "horsemenship" from owners or teachers or employees

like it truly is disgusting seeing how some ppl pull on their horses bits as if theyre not sharp metal in the horses very sensitive mouth. the reins and the bit should be a gentle, back-and-forth communication btw rider and horse for gods sake. and then you see these poor creatures, clearly working out of fear, not out of wanting to please or joy, with their tongue sticking out, salivating, their head so drawn back and pulled it makes me wanna do the same to the rides to see how the hell theyd like it. and jfc, the way some people smack their horses, overwork their horses, get mad at the horses for things that are Their fault. its just cruel,,,, the damn way some people talk abt their horses too is just 🤮 a horse is not a thing or object or entertainment to be used, to be expired, to be broken in, it is a life and a soul and frankly, working together with a horse is an honor & privilege i dont think you should have if you think that way

its gross too because it is excused as "this is how we train them" or "tradition" etc etc "weve always done it this way it works" and "the stallion/mare has an attitude" but its all damn unnecessary. you can train a horse to ride competely without a bit!! something id like to do if i ever have a horse. and you can most, most certainly 100% train a horse gently, compassionately, without beating or scaring them half to death, to understand suddle cues in change in seat pressure & gentle tugs on the reins. and use soft bits. and not only can you, its the right way for it to be done. even more complicated things like "dancing" or dressage can be taught gently without cruelty, if the horse is willing. absolutely none of the horrible ways humans go abt horsemanship is necessary or unavoidable - and if some parts of it cant be done without the cruelty, then those parts shouldn't exist

.....idk its just. this is part of the bigger issue of the lack of respect we tend to have for animals and how we view many of our interactions with them in terms of using them :// horses are terrifying, beautiful, 500 kg + towering, highly intelligent and empathetic creatures covered in muscles which stand on 4 sharp toenails. and they have teeth. can most certainly outrun you. and they could easily give you a very painful death, if they wanted. but instead theyre usually nice and lovely creatures, and they can be wonderful friends and helpers, and they deserve a high level of respect & honor, not to b used & abused & given no agency so someone can make money or feel good about themselves bc they have power over another being.

but once they reveal that they are goddesses, oh my god. now their darlings are flying through the skys and napping ontop of rain clouds, feeling the rainbows and watching the sun rise above the world. Counting stars from the sky and witnessing the moon in all her glory. Theyre swimming amongst the creatures of the deep and exploring Atlantis. Spending time amongst the glowing array of jellyfish and the coral. Swimming so deep that the angelfish peek out and then deeper.

They're walking across flames without pain and seeing the flowers that can only grow from molten ash. Theyre witnessing magical creatures appear from the flames and new lands be built from the cooling lava. They're watching mountains move for them and witnessing all the beauty the ground has to offer. Seeing new fruits and plants grow, things even mortals cant imagine.

H-typhlosion: looks better in-game with the flame effects (which are purple, for bonus points) but overall idk why anyone would evolve cyndaquil, one of arceus' perfect creatures

ohohohohoh youve just asked a man whos been obsessed with bones and dinosaurs and dead shit since he was like, five years old. buckle up buckaroo this is about to get anatomical

so we all know and love velociraptor right? like you saw her in jurassic park i saw her in jurassic park we all did.

steven speilberg has committed some great atrocities and i feel so bad for that poor animal.

see im pretty certain that the ‘velociraptors’ from jp are more of… utahraptors. cuz uh,

shes about the size of a turkey. utahraptor, however,

was a tiny bit bigger. no hate to the velociraptor ofc!! those little creatures have my entire heart. ive been more focused on utahraptors as of late because eheheheh a character from jojo part 7 can TURN INTO ONE KEKEKEKEK ofc.. its a blight on my eyes. ive been working on fixing him 💔. anyway back to jurassic park. another anatomy sin of speilbergs was his raptors’ hands.

this uh. this aint right. see, their (and all other dinosaurs of similar build) wrists couldnt rotate like that. it looks cool! but in reality their wrists were stiff, facing each other as if they were going to clap their hands.

another thing, most (if not all) of the dinosaurs of jurassic park are victims of shrink-wrapping. theyre skinny and naked. they look starved half to death. thats just sad.

not to mention feathers. people like to think that dinosaurs would look stupid with feathers, which is just. unimaginative at best. i mean hell, think of the colors they couldve been! we just dont know!! they probably werent like. ridiculously gaudy, but still. feathered raptors, my beloved. among all these i should probably atleast mention the tail. in life, the tail wouldve been much stiffer than we see it in jp, used for balance as they ran.

anyway, i think thats it for the raptors. but nOT FOR THE T REX. directing our attention away from jurassic park for a moment, id like to mention the smithsonian tyrannosaurus.

look at her. l. look. is she not the most beautiful thing youve ever laid eyes on?? i cant believe i got to see her in real life. everyone reading this, if you ever have the chance to visit the natural history museum in dc, take it. go see her. look through the entire dinosaur exhibit, because holy shit, its fucking insane. they have SO many skeletons.

jurassic park’s tyrannosaurus makes me sad. naked, skinny, her teeth sticking out, poor eyesight, shes just. she is sad.

the REAL tyrannosaurus rex was gorgeous. it didnt have the full coat of feathers like the dromeosaurs did, but it had a fair amount (if you want a really fluffy tyrannosaurid, look up the yutyrannus. baby boy. baby). its teeth didnt stick out like a nightmare, but it had actual LIPS so they didnt get cracked or broken. as much. speaking of teeth, their teeth were serrated. a bit like the komodo dragon’s teeth. or a sharks (sharks my beloved).

moving on. the whole sight based eyesight, ‘if you dont move it cant see you’ thing? its bullshit. the tyrannosaurus had INCREDIBLE eyesight. it had around a 55 degree wide field of vision i believe. thats about 13 times that of a human. if i ever see anyone insulting her eyes its on sight 💛. they also had good hearing, tuned to more to low frequency sounds.

which brings us to our next point! new studies have shown that the tyrannosaurus probably didnt actually roar. instead, it made a sound similar to how we hum. a bit similar to an alligator. it was probably so low that you felt it more than you heard it. is that not terrifying? and fucking awesome??? these things just like. walked around.

anyway uh. this post is super fucking long. and i could 100% go on, but i think its time to wrap it up. if i think of more things i will probably reblog with renewed energy. but here. velociraptor and t rex. two of the most well known and well loved dinosaurs. When the two of you started dating you both agreed that the relationship should remain private. Neither of you really liked the attention from other people and Technoblade being the blood god is incredibly adamant that his reputation of being feared should remain unchanged. However, as lovers being lovers the two of you just can’t help it.

One time, you and Techno were going on a walk after a very long sparring session when suddenly Techno wrapped his arms around you and started to kiss your cheeks. See, being a ghost has a lot of its perks but mainly the fact that you are sometimes invisible to the naked eyes of living beings. So neither of you or Techno saw that Ghostbur was actually passing by. So when he saw his older brother getting all soft with you, his heart instantly melted and practically awwed at the two of you loudly - almost too loudly. Obviously, he noticed that he was caught spotting you both and you begged him to not spill this to anyone. Thankfully he promised, and while you weren’t sure if he’d keep it, at least it was only one person. And no one would really believe THE blood god has the capacity to love - especially someone as soft as you.

Somehow the Ghostbur encounter didn’t make you nor Techno to be more careful in keeping the relationship a secret. In fact, the two of you became more confident that no one would figure this out. But oh boy that’s where you are wrong. When Fundy hosted a gala night, Technoblade tried to stay away from you and yet he just can’t help but want to steal you away for a moment; just to tell you how insanely beautiful you looked that night. It doesn’t help either that Sapnap keeps on trying to flirt with you. So he thought he’d sneakily pull you away from the crowd to the balcony outside and just chat for a bit which was what he did.

Technoblade didn’t really mean to kiss you but you looked extremely extremely captivating and the way the night just made you glow killed him. So when the two of you heard a very distinctive, loud and obnoxious scream you two realised how badly you’ve been caught. Mr.TommyInnit bolted and shared the lovely news with everyone. “THE BLADE HAS A GIRLFRIEND” he basically shouted to every living creature in that gala, maybe even the dead ones too actually.

The teasing wasn’t that bad, most of them were just so shocked by the fact that out of all the people it was Technoblade who got a girlfriend.

Sapnap likes to fake cry in front of Technoblade because he thinks he stole you from him, Tommy just goes “MMMMM MIMIMMIMI” every single time you and Techno gets a little bit too close for him - like maybe if you decided to sit next to each other during meetings he’d do that. But also he’s secretly happy that Technoblade found you.

Tubbo admitted that one day he would want to find love the way you two did which was actually quite wholesome. Puffy never fails to mention how cute you guys are, like, every time, even when you two were just mining together to find some redstone, she’d just sigh and say “you two are so LOVELY, I can’t wait for the wedding.” Fundy is already talking about who should be godparents; Techno would then proceed by pulling out his axe making Fundy run away, screaming. Philza will just snicker and laugh at you whenever you two get bullied. Not helpful Dadza. “Technosimp” was the most popular term for a while but it thankfully died down. The awws never really stopped though, but honestly, it was kinda cute.

George found out days later when he decided he wants to get out of bed.
