Ps.I lowkey wanna make this longer into a full smut but idk lmfao
(Gif cr: @tishrivers <3 )
✮✮✮✮
Music with bass boomed through the car crowed street, the neighborhood cul-de-sac he pulled up in being as active as the hood usually is. The place wasn’t run down, but you could tell a couple illegal activities took place here more than often. He was no stranger to environments like this at all though. He grew up around it. Only problem was, this wasn’t his hood, so he was careful.
He made sure not to wear any alarming colors, even leaving behind the blue flag he’d usually wear in the back of his pocket, hanging out for any nigga to see. Not tonight though, he wasn’t even trynna be on that. A nigga couldn’t imagine getting clapped in somebody else hood just for wanting to get some pussy from this fye bitch a few blocks down. He honestly could have just walked, but he wasn’t feeling the idea of freely walking somewhere without his ‘heat’. Especially not around no damn crackheads.
Speaking of said ‘fye bitch’, she was in all honesty more than that, but he knew nothing apart from how some cornbread fed ass shordy he met at a party a month ago wanted what he had in them dickies cargo pants. She was pretty, both street and book smart, but the important part was that she was down for whatever a nigga offered.
He had heard about her around before, but he never really looked into why she was talked about other than the fact that she, again, had a fat ass and use to deal with some known nigga from across the states. Last reason he didn’t give a fuck about actually. All he thought about was if she knew how to take dick or not.
He exits his car and locks it, making his way into the neighborhood fully with a gangster lean in his walk. Like he had something in them pants that could cripple a bitch. All he could smell was weed smoke and burning wood. passing by residents and other guests who had came there for completely different reasons. Feeling cautious, he clutched his belt anytime he felt eyes on him. You could never be too careful.
Finding the girls house, he shakes his head at the hot pink painted front door, making it the only one to stand out apart from all of the other duplexes.
Laying a knock on the door, he leans against the porches iron railings and waits, which felt like forever in his case, though it was only a minute that passed. The door swings open, revealing the thick girl in boy shorts and a cropped tee that was fitted against her breasts, the deep split in the middle already giving him a show. It was obviously cut after being bought, the bottom of the shirt being tacky with loose threading that reveled a bit of her under boob.
“Bout time, nigga. Thought they got yo ass or sum” she moves from the door to let him in, walking back to wherever she came from. He walks in, his eyes fixated on the movement of her ass in those shorts. He couldn’t wait to see how it moved without the shorts restricting her.
He blew off at her comment. “Got? Never that, that ain’t me. A nigga had other things to do, shordy”
She turned to him, her eyebrows cockily raising. “Better than me?”
Silence was passed around with that question lingering around his head, a smirk tugging at the side of his lips as he thought, kicking the door shut with his foot then reaching for his belt.
“Hell nah”
✮✮✮✮
“Fuck—suck that shit” he exhaled, milky white smoke floating from his lips as he slowly leans his head back and entangles his hands in the girls Fulani braids. He was deep down her throat as if there was nothing blocking him from going further, and she was taking it. Imagine throwing a sausage down a hallway.
She licked and sucked along the shaft of his dick like it was hydrating her, her only goal being to get him off at the moment. Pulling him out of her throat, her hands wrap around his thick, long pipe, stroking him while her tongue worked on his balls, using her spit to get it sloppy, how he liked it. She used so much spit that the waist band of the front of his pants was wet down to the zipper.
He could still hear the loud trap music from outside and his high was hitting just right, making the music seem like it was put into some kind of filter. Like his brain chopped and skrewed it for him, his own remix featuring the wet sounds of the girls throat swallowing him whole.
She continued to slurp him up, shamelessly looking up at him with her beautiful slanted eyes, her wispy, recently done eyelashes complementing the shape. Usually girls teared up when giving head because of the pressure, but Y/N? Not one tear could fall from her eyes while doing one of her favorite things; getting some cut.
Feeling him pulse in her throat, she smiled with him still there. He could only look down at her in awe, taking another hit of his blunt to refill his lungs , but to also distract him from busting already, though that was the inevitable once she hallowed her cheeks and tightened her lips around the base of his dick, sucking like she was attempting to pull the nut out of him, which didn’t need much of an attempt since he was already ready to bust back to back in any hole she offered tonight.
He gripped the couch cushion underneath him with his hand, almost dropping his blunt as she sucked up and swallowed every bit of the sweetness he gave her. Not being able to take anymore of the suction, he pulls out of her mouth with a grunt, his hand moving down to grip the base of his dick as more of his essence spurted out onto her plump lips till that was all he could give from that one session.
“Gahdamn” he sighed, still holding himself until the sensation of her mouth went away, leaving his dick continuously bobbing up and down in jerks just from the sight of her. She only hummed out a soft ‘Mmmm’ as she rubbed the rest of his nut along her lips, giving it a gloss like sheen. That made him go crazy, starting to get him hard all over again. Her tongue danced on her fingers, moving the muscle up and down her middle finger and swirling around the tip of her long and exaggerated acrylics.
They were red and curved, decorated with white painted on flowers. It reminded him of the designs back into the 90s.
Standing to her feet, she removed the crop top she wore, releasing the gift given to her by whatever woman who birthed the freak. He would have thanked her momma if he knew her.

They Cloned Tyrone did such a fun thing with Fontaine’s character. His first reaction is the violent, physical one. YET! He is never portrayed a ‘thug’ or someone who is only capable of violence. He makes his mom food when he eats, he pours liquor into Frog’s cup, he does not threaten any of Slick Charles’ uhhhhhhh workers?
He is violent, yes. But he is not a mindlessly violent man.
I just really enjoyed that all his actions were shown to have thought to them. It’s just that Fontaine’s thoughts lead him to accept a violent action as a solution to those thoughts.
I also just thought him constantly reaching for his piece was very anime in it’s hilarity. Man’s is just always pulling it out while his friends go “NO NO NO NO NO!” Fontaine trying to kill his own clone is as funny as it is miserably saddening.

“I THINK THEY WENT AND CLOOOONNNEEEDDD TYROOOONNNNNEEEEE! CLOOOONNNEEDDD HIM!”🎶 When I tell y’all this movie had me like 😳😬😭🤣😭, I MEAN it, okay?! Like, Slick Charles, Fontaine, and Yo-Yo had me rolling THE ENTIRE TIME! But also, on a deeper level, I like how the fate of the Black community was left on those who everyone would’ve counted out and/or deemed problematic: the pimp, the drug-dealer, and the sex worker. Most of the time, depending on the lens, these people are deemed community miscreants and are heavily side-eyed. However, no one ever takes into account these people’s lives; the people and events that make up their everyday experiences in order for them to have ended up where they are in their lives and in society. They weren’t dealt the best of life’s cards and they were making due like everyone else in their community. It wasn’t until Fontaine seemingly came back from the dead that they knew more sinister-than-usual things were at work. If you enjoyed Jordan Peele’s “Get Out,” you will definitely enjoy “They Cloned Tyrone”!
Tumblr media
P.S. I really loved how the time setting was 1970s x early 2000s! The costume department did their thing and I want me-sized replicas of Slick Charles’ coat and Yo-Yo’s entire outfit in this scene!

so let's talk...
they cloned tyrone (spoilers and all)
SUBLIMINAL MESSAGES
"it's in the water", "straighter is greater", "i got that ruckus", "got damn! fried chicken", "grape juice", the shot of an old american dream like poster, depicting a white man, til it pans out to the ghetto.
the movie hints to it's audience from the start that this? this shit runs deep. yeah everyone is carrying on like normal, so does the movie, and no one bats an eye until it's deliberately pointed out. for me it says a lot that i can only convey or remind folks with in the way fontaine treats junebug in the first half.
hood niggas don't wanna be hood niggas.
and that right there is exactly fontaine. not only to just the brother he lost, but extended to junebug, yo yo, charles, his momma. sure he a product of his environment but he ain't got much of a choice and that's depicted when he does everything he can to get to the bottom of what the fuck is going on up 'til he literally loses control.
EXISTENTIAL CRISIS
seeing another you. loosing complete autonomy while being conscious of it.
what slick and 'taine saw? enough to make any human question the fabric of their reality, if they're real, if their memories are really theirs, how much can they recall in those memories and if they are recalling everything. when slick saw fontaine again and when fontaine first faced his previous body. 'taine's drive was figuring out if he's really him. hell as he was grappling with the chaos that it brings in his mind, what does he say when he finally snaps out of it?
im me.
as humans our lives, decisions, etc. come from some peace of mind that we have autonomy. the fact that we can say and do as we please, even if it's within a boundary, is enough for us to feel some kind of calmness in the thought that we have power over ourselves. can't control the world around me, can't do big shit, but i can do this. the little things.
all i could think was, 'but what if there's another you.. an original you.' and when his autonomy was put into question, him backing off like that and accepting it is a form of nihilistic defeat. he can't do shit but what he's always done, and if that means he or anyone else he loves doesn't die? then it's something he deals with, until it's too much to bear.. until the cycle of everyday (that he now knows is a cycle) weighs heavy and the only thing to pull him out of it? junebug. the good memories of his brother.
THE CLONES AND TIME
i had this originally titled and future, but the point here is the original/old fontaine and his plan.
i feel that old fontaine made that deal not just because of ronnie, or the decayed blood he has to wipe up, i feel like that's part of the defeatist mindset he has. he decided the "can't beat em, join em" route was better. that assimilating to what white folks have wanted since fucking eugenics was better, even if it's not he reasons that joining is better than just dying out.
"assimilation is better than annihilation."
ofc, our fontaine, doesn't believe any of that bullshit. that the whole operation is fucked. old fontaine says that it's something they both know but i agree and disagree... they both know that's what white america wants. for old fontaine if that's enough to not have another incident like ronnie? good enough but our fontaine?? he's got junebug he's thinking about, other little kids in the here and now, the dreams that yo yo had and still has, everyone in the hood who wants out but just can't seem to get out.
CONTROL GROUPS
"tyrone... ain't that you?"
now i didn't grow up in the hood,or rather the projects, but i was near it. small knit group, everyone knows each other more or less.
the drug dealer, the pimp, the pastor, the kids, the aunties/grandmas/mamas/misses.
in the black community we all know someone like that or have heard of them, and the end of the movie shows this. it's more than just a call back and a chance to play a hit by miss badu.
these regulars? they're the control group the second in command was talking about. they're the ones that don't quite get the same treatment as the experimental group (i.e yo yo, biddy, junebug etc.) they're key players to making the ecosystem (experiment/operation) run smoothly. which is why the convo of fontaine deciding to go with slick and yo yo is integral to the ending and vice versa.
to break the cycle, the system? everyone's gotta rally together. country wide. (in movie context ofc)

Thinking about Fontaine again bc he is a metaphor for “What They Do To All The Greats”.
Real Fontaine saw his brother die, scrubbed the blood off him, and then ran off to learn and study genetics at like an Einstein level. So when he made clones of himself, he was aware of what his own capabilities were. He knew any clone could either do what he did or find out about about the clones immediately.
So he got himself addicted..
Fontaine’s ‘trap’ is drugs. That’s why he doesn’t notice his mother is a recording, why he’s not anxious to learn about anything outside of his daily routine. Instead of coping with his brother’s death by studying harder than anyone, he copes by getting high.
A great lost to drugs is a very interested point that went unnoticed.

Guess who just watched They Cloned Tyrone?
(The answer is me)
Thoughts (and spoilers!) below the cut
The whole thing kinda reminds me of Sorry To Bother You? W LaKeith Stanfield?
Anyways, great movie, loved the soundtrack, the costumes, the whole aesthetic was brilliant.
I won't lie, I don't think Old Fontaine's reason for cloning folks and slowly turning black people white made much sense to me. Like, your little brother got shot by racist cops, so the solution is to change black people? Not the entire system that enabled Ronnie's murder? Ok weirdo, pop off ig
Onto a completely different track, I loved when Yo-Yo first pulled out her gun, idk man, just love it when women in media have weapons, I just think it's real fun. Tbh, ik it's a pretty serious film w some deep themes of existentialism, racism and oppression, but it was also just kinda a fun film. Like, there were some real fun scenes, the main trio talking about "What would Nancy Drew do?", the whole Glen showing up to destroy the secret lab, Slick's whole plan to sneak Fontaine back into the facility, whenever the elevator doors open and all three of them are posed, just cool little things like that.
That's about all I can think of rn, might say more later, but yh. Good film, glad I watched it
(Also John Boyega and Teyonah Parris are hot as fuck, my god)

Fontaine begging his mom to open the door, to prove that she's real, that by extention he's. Giving up and breaking the door down only to see a redoring playing and begging the automated recording for help.
Junebug showing up in the middle of hia break down and babbling about SpongeBob and being genuine, validating Fontaine's self worth and reminding him that there are things worth saving in The Glen.

So to sum up the films that hit the theaters and streaming this weekend -
Barbie - Gender-based superiority of any sort is inherently a bad thing, regardless of what side you're on.
Oppenheimer - The road to hell is paved with good intentions and our pursuit of power and glory often blinds us to the terrible consequences such a pursuit will unearth.
Shin Masked Rider - Human happiness cannot be boiled down to an algorithm or an equation, and the suffering of people with the vague promise of human happiness later is not a deal we should take.
They Cloned Tyrone - Systemic injustice is just that, a system, and only by attacking those systems can we can be free from systemic injustice.
Isn't it nice to see that films, even if they aren't perfect, especially in an era of overbudgeted franchise sequels and remakes designed to piss people off to get others to theaters, actually want to say things? This could easily be my overestimating movies, but in a year with stuff like Quantumania, The Flash, and Dial of Destiny, these four feel like well-deserved breaths of fresh air.
