Lets all have a moment of silence for all the cut A-Qing's in each perspective.#particularly ripped and buff 'Daozhang Defender 'A-Qing (her perspective)#funny but poor layout#XY also had a red arrow pointed at him in his own POV that said 'just troubled' but it made the panel too cluttered.#He does see himself as troubled and uses that to justify his actions#but I also think there is room for him to not really know exactly how to feel about himself in this situation#Yi-city is such a fantastic tragedy for so many reasons and you will bear witness to me rambling about it in the tags as this arc continues#Helping a blind man fix a roof? A manipulative act of building trust or genuine display of wanting to collaberate?#XY and A-qing have experience of the cruelty of the world where as xxc has blind (haha) faith that kindness prevails#These three simultaneous know each other more than the other's think and *yet* completely miss the mark.#the stories they tell in the blizzard (and the reactions they have) so perfectly display who these characters are#Both xxc and xy tell stories about unfair cruelty. To xxc it is others who's suffering is highlighted. XY highlight's his own.#A-qing understands xue yang more that she wants to admit. She predicts the twists in xy's story and empathizes with the hurt and anger#A-qing is also taking advantage of xxc! She is also lying to survive!#Though shes mostly benign in her intentions. She really did vibe check the rank stank on XY's soul on the spot#Alas...no one listens to teen girls....

Using Lorenzo and Charles' interviews as reference, I'd love to see any assumptions of what Kaiser and Ness would answer here
#i'm 100% sure they'll get character profiles at some point#maybe more in depth ones like the ones in the egoist bible#since these are meant to be read as interviews to the characters I wouldn't put it past Kaiser to exaggerate or lie in his#like using his answers for those questions (the morning routine/luck rituals/etc)#as reference he totally makes himself sound more put together than he actually is#even if he still sounds kind of fucked up like where's his manager. #literally so happy for woongki that he got to be in something so beautiful and well done#like omg it was Well Done#like I do think kbls have a high standard but because there r more and more of them coming out the standard is both going up and down#and I didn't think this one would be up there but it IS#it's living up there with semantic error and the eighth sense now .... like that is achievement#it was SO CUTE#and so engaging fr like I loved all the characters the plot was FUNCTIONAL 🫶🫶 and was so interesting like I wasn't just there for the smooch#which I can't say about a couple other bls dmjeeisu#but eek yeah that was wonderful#the acting was fantastic from all of them and they worked so well together ..... beautiful#I should've known woongki would only be in the highest standard of projects fr#love for love's sake

okay listen neil newbon would absolutely deserve to win best performance for astarion at the game awards and I’m going to applaud if and when he does. however. if devora wilde isn’t at least NOMINATED alongside him you can all expect me to make some angry posts about it.
#sorry if you didn’t like lae’zel (wrong opinion) but devora fucking KILLED that role. went into the woods and wrestled it into submission.#she sawed off its head and put it on a pike next to her tent.#they both gave incredible performances but i think lae’zel was a tougher role than astarion#because nobody pries at lae’zel. you have to tell a story with her to people who aren’t really interested in working for it#and so all those little mannerisms that make her feel really alive become much more important#the actual text of the dialogue can’t do as much heavy lifting because there just isn’t as much of it#so SO much of her character really comes from devora#while astarion’s chattiness means our impression of him comes much more evenly split from his writer and actor#who both did fantastic jobs!! again bg3 is an abundance of riches when it comes to exceptional performances#and I’m not even TOUCHING wyll or gale yet. OR AMELIA TYLER who honestly will probably be neil’s biggest competition before devora is#but anyways. expect Posts. #metalocalypse#jay talkin#I'm sorry they wrote that awful gross little man far too likeable and relatable to on a trans level#for me not to hoot and holler and cheer for the trans pickles agenda#changes nothing about his character arc or any of the show anyone is capable of being the kind of person he is#don't make the mistake of thinking thats exclusive to cis men#his transness wouldnt change that#only adds on an extra layer to him that i think works fantastically.#Listen that dude was rejected by his family driven to drink and drugs young to escape that ran away to be in a band#is called fucking Pickles of all things and refuses to tell anyone his real last name;#over the span of four seasons and two movies he slowly starts to learn to be for others what he never had#he becomes more caring more supportive#it's not a stretch to say he undoes some of the toxic masculinity he's been keeping himself shielded behind#and learns how to be a kinder man.#all of which have no contradictions with him being trans!#In fact it doesn't take much extra thought to find ways a lot of this can line up with some trans masculine experiences#i mean. I feel like I liked yakuza 5 a lot more than most people for some reason
#like a lot of people seem to not like it or think it’s mid#idk man but it was one of the games I enjoyed most and I really liked the range of characters you get to play#love me a murder mystery too#idk I think people seem to not like how disjointed the plot is at first and trying to keep up with everyone’s seperate plot and characters#and etc. but I personally really liked how it was all disjointed and the further you get into the game / the more characters you play the#more shit starts coming together and forming a full picture#like don’t get me wrong it’s not perfect and I do have qualms with some. choices. (mostly having to do with majima and#mirei) but overall it’s one of the games I’ve enjoyed the most and that’s kept me interested in the plot the most#fantastic to get a more in-depth look at haruka and to get to really know her by playing her and seeing how she interacts with people and#choices she makes and etc. I don’t think she was a fully fleshed out character prior to that#loved her with all my heart already don’t get me wrong but she just didn’t have much time on screen especially as a teenager to fully get#her personality across and some of the issues she deals with (mommy issues. abandonment issues#etc).#and her and uncle akiyama are a very nice unexpected duo!!!#the different settings were fun too. overall I think the whole thing just felt like more of a streamlined story in a way with drastically#different viewpoints depending on the character#also shinada’s a gift. bless him#daigo feels three dimensional and emotionally present in a way I didn’t see much in other games- even when he’s literally a boss in 4. tbh#the only other time I think he feels really solid as a character is in fuckin dead souls. I think it’s cause it’s SO rare to see daigo in#non-serious situations or vulnerable with people on purpose. dead souls has the first thing and y5 has a bit of both#and I could complain more about how y6 SHOULD have made daigo more present instead of sending him to fuckin jail the whole time but. I do#get that that was kind of important to the plot. I mean to have that power vacuum. don’t think all three of them should’ve been put in jail#but I digress. anyway I got off topic point is I enjoyed yakuza 5 it is very unique in my opinion#y5#rambling#ALL THESE TAGS AND I FORGOT TO MENTION KIRYU BEING ANGSTY AND GAY AS HELL. okay but the thing about a good romcom is that it IS about the world-building. because it is often about people from two different worlds meeting through chance or fate or happenstance or some bizarre romcom arrangement and then the sparks that come from the draw towards not only each other but each other’s respective worlds and the funny alchemy that is one of love’s properties that is capable of changing and destroying both of the individual’s worlds to lesser and greater extents, sure, but it has to happen —-in order to create a new one.
#the romcom brain is firing#like yes. this is about Dex and Lily and how different and rich (in different ways) each of their worlds are#and how the point of the story is that ….. They can create a new one#like I just 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭#does this make sense I don’t know but I feel it in my romcom heart#the best romcoms simply have believable worlds even if they are fantastical and the characters belong to those worlds#in ways that make sense and that seem like the characters could never leave those worlds or accept change in them#but then they DO change. They can change#Joe Fox and Kathleen Kelly both change#Their WORLDS change. Because of each other. Because they meet each other. Because the two worlds collide#and at the end they stand at the beginning of creating a new one#a romcom isn’t about that whole new world. It’s just about the destruction of —the questioning of —their respective worlds because of LOVE#it’s about letting in the change that love causes!!!!!!!!#I’m going to throw up

Today was the last DND session for a three-year campaign and I am big sad :(
One of the players brought whiskey for a last toast, which was very kind of them. I had never had whiskey before. Turns out I do not like whiskey. Unsurprising.
It tastes like slightly nicer hand sanitizer.
#blue chatter#it was a flavored whiskey as well#everyone else who had it said it was rly smooth and sweet#so I don’t think I super wanna know what regular whiskey tastes like#it was supposed to be like vanilla caramel flavored or smth#I was told it was like cream soda and that was a LIE it was like disinfectant#with a vanilla aftertaste#the campaign went rly rly well though#I’m seriously going to miss it#the final boss battle was just pure catharsis we absolutely whaled on that dark abberant goddess#she got Destroyed#an entire section of the continent restructured bc of the removal of her corruption#I rly like that my character got to be disabled at the tail end of this campaign#they wielded experimental magic that wasn’t supposed to work and resurrected someone who the Keeper very intentionally kept dead#it worked because they partially fused with Arawai the goddess of life and became her aspect on earth#but becoming partially divine in a mortal body takes a toll#they had more and more limited mobility and the more they cast magic to compensate the more of a toll it takes#functionally that meant my movement speed was reduced#and I lost more abilities after each combat as the consequences of overextending myself caught up to me#I wish I’d gotten to play this longer to see how this ended mechanically but it was a lot of fun to get a character who is both#very magically competent and still disabled and that still affects their ability and they still get the dignity of risk#to choose whether to continue casting or not knowing the consequences of doing so#it is very much a fantastical disability which I flavored heavily off of chronic fatigue and a mobility disorder#in-game their skin became hard and brassy around their joints which make them difficult and painful to bend#they lose a lot of sensation and fine motor control#thankfully they have a lot of money from their adventuring so they can commission an accessible house and mobility aids#and their friends help take care of them
