Hi bestie, I have more thoughts! 😆 1. Thanks for having the Giants beat the Patriots because FUCK the Patriots. 2. Thanks for the multiple references to Bradley’s long legs. Glen is my beloved, and no offense to him and his hilariously wee legs (my dude is 60% torso) but Miles’ legs… in TG:M where he’s in his jorts, running backwards on the beach. Made me feel some type of way. Ahem. Anyway: you’re killing the game, per usual. Dying for the next chapter!!
ALL MY HOMIES HATE THE PATRIOTS (at least I do. And you do. As the universe intended.)
I laughed so hard at this, thank you. Glen is ALL torso. It's a very nice torso, but it's true. Something about these golf pics of Miles this weekend....I was just like....LEGS, and here we are.
Hinty hint bestie? Here's a snippet <3 (un-edited):
Bradley tossed him the bat and he walked over to the plate. He tried to stand like he’d seen Bradley do, but it felt awkward. He readjusted a bit, but it still felt off. He finally glanced over his shoulder and said, “Okay, what am I doing wrong?”
“You sure you want my help?”
“Shut up and give me pointers, you dick.”
Bradley grinned and kicked off the cage to walk over. His palms were warm through the material of Jake’s sweatshirt as they spread over his shoulders and moved him a bit. “You need to widen your stance, keep your body faced that way.” He moved his hands to Jake’s hips and tapped against his foot with his own. Jake did what he instructed, letting Bradley guide and move his body. He swallowed as Bradley’s fingers pressed into different parts of his body, bringing with them a flush of heat that had nothing to do with the warmth of his palms. Bradley stepped back slightly and said, “Now show me your batting arm.”
He put his arms up and looked over his shoulder. “Is this right?”
“Not quite.”
His body felt cold, no longer lit from the inside out. He blamed the next words on that fact. Well, that and the fact that he really wanted to see those damn pictures. “Show me?”
Bradley stepped forward again and crowded up behind him. His arms wrapped around Jake’s, gripping the bat over his hands. He could feel Bradley’s breath on his cheek as he said, “Like this.” He swung their arms together, mimicking a perfect swing.
“Right. Okay.”

Just saw someone on Twitter complain about the lack of Japanese people in Oppenheimer, and what did you expect??? Did you want the final act to be the bomb dropping and see people burning alive???
The reason why we don't see a Japanese perspective is because one, including a Japanese perspective, just to see how bad the suffering was would be exploitation. Two, to see an accurate and sensitive take on how the japanese felt about Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan (as incredible as he is) isn't the right person to do this. And three, it's based on Oppenheimer's biography
Oppenheimer, the movie, literally shows you people (mostly the superiors, because by the middle/end of it you see Oppenheimer regretting his creation) doing something dubious and inhumane because they removed themselves away, both emotionally and physically, from the people they are hurting.
Nagasaki and Hiroshima only exist in those men's distant thoughts and imaginations. One guy literally asks to take a city off the bombing because that's where he had his honeymoon. It's disturbing and unsettling, as if those people were not real human beings. The lack of Japanese people drives the entire point home.
Also, Japanese cinema is right there. Barefoot Gen, Grave of the Fireflies, or Hiroshima (responsible for showing to many Americans the effects of the bombs for the first time) are just a few of the many, many decades of post-war Japanese movies we have

How do the girls get along
Pretty great actually!
Jenny and Kim are very good/close friends, since they met relatively early compared to others (they actually met each other first out of everyone, then others at one point and another) and had a shared adventure sometime after the ends of their respective shows (wink wonk).
But, their first meeting was not actually very um, positive. There was some conflict, but after it was resolved both of them gained a very solid friend for life!
Jenny, was glad to meet someone else (beside Brad) who treated her like a person/normal teenager (instead of an 8th wonder of the world or a freaky robot) and not to mention she got a fellow superheroine girl friend! After Misty, she kind of missed having someone like that to kick butt with (considering that like, 70% of her friends are dudes) or just hang out.
Kim was fascinated by Jenny, not because she is a robot (tho she does think its pretty cool) but because it kind of gave her a contrast to her own life in a weird way? Like, Kim was a normal teenager who got into superheroing on accident and just went with it, while Jenny was created with a goal of being Earth's defender but rebeled to have some sort of normal life. And now they both live those weird semi-normal lives, that led them to meeting each other.
Jun is around 5-6 years their junior and while they met each other much later on, when Jun was a little older (like not 11-12 age of the show), she still kind of looked up to them and both Jenny and Kim felt an instant kinship with the girl.
Before she met Jenny and Kim, Jun only knew a couple other guys as fellow heroes/magical protectors (guess who ;D lol), and while she had plenty of female role models (Ama/Jasmine being the most prominent) and friends, she kind of enjoyed meeting some cool older superheroines to bond with! It also helped that despite the age difference, both Jenny and Kim never looked down at her when it came to superheroing/fighting, but respected her abilities and expertise (considering that Jun was practically an apprentice to her Ama since at least 8-9ish of age, when her powers first awakened, she has a lot of experience).
They both are kind of like cool older cousins to her, who travel a lot for their work and come visit to hang out often and tell/share stories about their adventures. Their and her lines of work while similar, also run in completely different circles (human/interplanetary vs magical/supernatural), so its always a treat to hear about the things they do.
(And yes sometimes she feels jealous about the fact that both of them get to travel all over the world, and despite the developments, more often than not she has to stay town locked and limit her excursions to magical realms.)
Silly thing, but Jun absolutely adores Jenny, for one simple fact that she can travel to space just like that (she and Danny, fellow astronaut/space fans, share that, despite the fact that Danny kinda can travel to space just like that too.)

Okay, I didn't get to finish it much but i want to post it anyway
Presenting... the Pirate AU *jazz hands*
In which I just cram in the SMG4 crew in a mixture of a Victorian era world and the Mushroom Kingdom ahah
I have a planned story and everything, with plot and such, but its going to be LOOONG while before I finish it, so now I'm just having fun drawing the characters and some comics
The synopsis is basically that Mario gets (seemingly) kidnapped from the Mushroom Kingdom by pirates, and Princess Peach basically enrolls SMG4 to get him back (mostly to have her "bodyguard" back for herself)
SMG4 accepts mainly because he actually wants to get his friend back and because Luigi has begged him before the Princess even asked him, and so they depart on a small vessel with Captain Tari and her second in command Saiko in the sea (I wanted Tari to be the Captain to allude at the fact that she was one in her Meta Runner series, but she's still pretty much a scaredy cat like in the SMG4 universe).
Alas, they find Mario, but the crew that "has" him is in fact one of the most notorious: SMG3's crew, in his Black Bomb vessel.
And with that they get captured and are forced to stay with him for the time being.
Im planning in adding so many more characters (like the Anti-cast, Chris and Swag etc.) and to also focus a lil bit on the magical side of the story, with creatures and curses to spice things up eheh
For example, you get this acquatic guys as a treat (the Outcasts of the sea if you will)

“Red team was so selfish looking past the cursed team like that” listen man they were thinking about it often, and had evidence they were cursed too. They were convinced they were cursed too. Bad (with Pierre’s help I’ll be honest) singlehandedly destroyed any sort of civil relations and good faith between the two teams and this shot Blue in the foot when they tried to make the case about them being cursed last minute, about trying to rig it in the cursed teams favor.
There was never a cursed team in the first place, it was all a tactic to build paranoia and that feeling of betrayal and to get them to tear eachother a part. And it worked super well! At the end, neither would listen to the other about their evidence, not with an honest open ear, not with the willingness to think the other team could be cursed. It’s not a case of ‘Red just refused to listen because they wanted to win more than they cared’ they thought they were cursed too - if they were selfish, then so were Blue in the same way.
Every time Red had tried to talk first early on, it was met with extreme violence - and with Bad consistently proving he’ll play dirty to win, they didn’t trust Blue enough to listen to them in the later game. Maybe they should have listened then. Maybe Blue have listened earlier. The game worked as intended to set them against eachother.
