Theodore Groves x Reader: Fire

Word Count: n/a (tba) Warnings/Notes: established relationship, kissing, fluff, and gender neutral.

I wrote this oddly fast lol. All it took was for me to pass by a gif of Elizabeth Swann from the first potc film. Summary: Theodore helps the Reader put on a necklace but soon gets bashful, briefly.

  The crescent moon had risen over Port Royal. The waves crashed deliciously ashore as a cool breeze swept through an open window, fluttering thin curtains.   Theodore Groves breathed in deeply. The salty sea air refreshed his senses as he looked over the Port. But only for a moment. His duties to the Royal Navy were complete for the day. There were other more domestic ones too attend to now that he was home.   Shutting the curtains, Theodore turned toward the candlelight. There, you stood in front of the vanity, eyes focused on the mirror. Once he noticed that your fingers were fiddling with your necklace, he easily strode over. "Here, darling, let me help you with that." Theodore offered, taking the necklace into his grasp. "Thank you," you smiled at him through the mirror. "I must be tired if I'm having difficulty." "No need to worry," he assured, clasping the necklace together behind your neck. "There," he smiled at your reflection. "Perfection."

For a long moment, he admired you. All to quickly, his eyes darted away, a pink hue dusting his ears.

Noticing his bashfulness, you turned to face him. "What is the matter Theo?" "Forgive me," he answered quietly, still not meeting your gaze. "Speak your mind, love. I promise not to toss you overboard, though we're on land." His fingertips hovered over the skin of your shoulder. "I forget myself at times," he said. "Your skin is so warm. Perfect. I fear that it burns me so." "How can you ever stand it?" You softly teased. "Like a fire, the scorching sun, you burn me with each touch. But I would not have it any other way." You touched his hand with your own, guiding him to touch you. He nearly sucked in a breath at the contact. Along your shoulder, you moved his hand. Across your collarbones at the top most part of your chest, you swore he was not breathing. Stopping at your other shoulder, you slowly released your hold on him. "How are your fingers now?" "Ablaze," Theodore smiled. Gently cupping his face in your hands, you kissed him sweetly. Feeling a soft sigh exhale from his nostrils as you did so. His hands lightly gripped at your shoulders. As if making sure that you were real and with him. Tilting your head to intensity the kiss, you stepped even closer. Not that there was much space between the pair of you to begin with, but you wanted to feel his body against your own. His hands smoothed down your sides to rest at your waist. There you both remained until he gasped lightly, a deep love twinkling in his eyes. "Mx. Groves," Theodore smiled.

Hello and Welcome to the Tea Party! ☕️🫖

As stated in the mini bio, I’m 1/2 American, 1/2 Italian (si, parlo tutte due lingue ☺️). I’m also a huge Disney and Marvel fan. I used to be a huge super fan of Star Wars, but I left the fandom after Disney bought it. I still love most of it and celebrate May 4th, I’m just not active in it. I’m a big history buff, preferring to stay in the 1600-1790’s, mainly the Golden Age of Piracy and the American Revolution. I LOVE dragons (kind of an unhealthy obsession at this point, but you can never have enough dragons in my opinion) and am a big fan of the Eragon series. Recently, I’ve started to get more into book fandoms such as ACOTAR, TOG, FBAA, Fourth Wing, etc., so you might see me lurking over in those areas. However, I tend to bounce back and forth between different fandoms depending on my mood. I am over 21, but I would prefer not to disclose my age.

To clarify, I’m not a fanfic writer, but I am an avid fanfic reader. Please do not expect me to post stuff, I’m mostly using this account to be able to connect better with the fandoms that I am a part of.

As mean as it sounds, I will block people who have nothing more than a profile pic because of the scary amount of bots there are on this platform. It’s nothing personal, I’m just watching out for my own safety. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang—I will not accept critiques about this beautiful and uplifting masterpiece. Grandpa Potts is my favorite 🤣

James Bond—I’m here for Q. Desmond Llewyn was absolutely brilliant (fun fact, he was in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as well); I totally don’t recite the line about the grenade pen all the time. Ben Whishaw is at a very close second.

Austenland—Fantastic. I watch this every time I need a good laugh.

The Eragon Book Series—I refuse to watch the movie, as this is my all time favorite book and book series and I don’t want to ruin it for myself. Favorite characters being Angela, Murtagh, Sapphira, Solembum, Eragon, and Brom. I will occasionally read Murtagh x reader fanfics, but there are so few of them, that I read most of them years ago.

Harry Potter Series—Both books and movies. I also like the Fantastic Beast series. I’m going to be blatantly honest; I’m here for the dragons and Charlie Weasley. Don’t get me wrong, I love the stories and what not, but I have a giant fangirl moment every time he’s mentioned, in the stories, and/or I see dragons. I’m kind of like Lampie from Pete’s Dragon, except I get super excited about dragons, as they are my absolute favorites. 🐉

Hook—As stated with Peter Pan, one of my favorite characters of all time is Captain Hook. Dustin Hoffman was absolutely brilliant in this and I love the idea of Captain Hook facing an adult version of Peter. One of my favorite adaptations of the classic story. 🥹

The American Revolution—Not any film or story in particular, but I do love learning anything I can about the conflict and love the period. The exception to this is the TURN: Washington’s Spies series; I LOVE this series. Definitely my favorite TV series of all time. Hamilton the musical is fine, however I don’t care for Hamilton as a person, so it’s weird for me watching an entire production about him (he was pretty nasty in real life). King George was the only thing I really liked about it. Banastre Tarleton and the Culper Spy Ring are the two big things that I will devour information about the most as they are the most fascinating for me. If it weren’t for the fact that I am broke and don’t have time, I would absolutely join the re-enacting community for this time period.

The Golden Age of Piracy—As stated, I am a big fan of this time period. It spans a pretty long time time (most sources put it between 1690-1720, but there are many events that led to this giant boom and they started long before then), but I my favorite pirate/privateer out of all of them is Benjamin Hornigold. He was such a fascinating person and out of all of the pirates that are most famous, I would argue that he stuck to his moral code the most. Otherwise, same as American Rev; besides Pirates of the Caribbean, I don’t have any stories or films in particular. Black Sails is ok and Our Flag Means Death is hilarious, but I have a problem where I start screaming at the screen about how inaccurate it is (mostly with Black Sails. Out of all the things you could mess up, it shouldn’t be that hard to not mess up one of the biggest things in history that is associated with the start of the rise of piracy in the Caribbean, but apparently I’ve been proved incorrectly) 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Theodore Groves x Reader: Stay

Word Count: 366 Warnings/Notes: Fluff and established relationship Summary: Theodore is getting ready for work in the morning, but the Reader doesn’t want him to leave just yet…or at all.

 Thunder rolled across Port Royal, and you had no intention of leaving the bed that morning. You were more than certain that you had awakened before the birds, rather unfortunately. They were quite quiet with the approaching storm.  From your spot on the bed, you remained. Lounging on your side, you watched as your beloved Theodore donned his naval uniform, though you much rather he did not.  “Are you certain that you cannot stay home today?”  “As much as I would love nothing more,” he said, buttoning his waistcoat, “however, I do believe me skipping out on my day’s duties would be frowned upon.”  “Pity,” you frowned.  “And what of you? What will you do today, my love?”  “As little as possible, if I have my say.”  “That sounds like a lovely idea,” he smiled at you.  “It would be exceptionally better if you were with me,” you pressed with a hopeful smile.  “Darling,” he said, placing the white wig on top of his head. Kneeling down beside the bed, he could not help the grin that spread across his lips as you reached out to him. “I swear I’ll take some time off. Just not this week. All right?”  “All right,” you agreed with a sigh, playing with the curls on his wig. “One would think that you were married to the Navy.”  Theodore shook his head. “You are a far better partner.”  “I would certainly hope so,” you said, resulting in your shared laughter. “Do they greet you with a kiss or call your name adoringly?”  “No,” he chuckled, placing a gentle hand to your arm.  “I could keep going,” you smirked, poking the tip of his nose.  “Oh, I know you can. And if you can’t, you’ll make it up as you go along.”  “I would, it’s a gift.”  “An incredible talent indeed,” he played along. “It’s an amazing feat to witness, truly.”  “You flatter me so,” you smiled, sitting up.  Theodore leaned forward to nuzzle your neck. “And I shall continue to do so, unless you request otherwise,” he said, placing gentle kisses to your skin.  The pleasant moment lingered and you relished it, knowing that he would soon need to leave.

Rereading and editing my Theodore Groves x mermaid!reader. It's been too long. AND I am determined to have this fanfiction up and ready to go for October.

So, for those who may have been waiting, here's a little snippet 😄 :

As the Captain (Barbossa) managed his way over the sand, away from the scene, the others followed (Gilette) behind. Groves remained, staying and watched in horror as their ship and crew were torn apart by the both hungry and vengeful mermaids. Until the ship was out of sight, but the screams could still be heard.

Feeling sorrow for his loss as you looked upon his face from a distance. You glanced over your shoulder to view as the ship crumbled into the water, pulled under the choppy waves. One by one, dragged to the depths for a feasting frenzy by your fellow mermaids was very likely.

When you leisurely looked back over to the shore again, you were met with the in-awe eyes of this mister Groves. His mouth was even slightly agape at the sight of you.

Never had anyone looked at you in such a way. It struck you as odd, but you did not hate it.

Word Count: 459 Summary: The Reader has not seen Theo in days, he finally gets an opportunity to visit. Notes: Fem!Reader. Theodore Groves and the Reader are romantically involved. A/N: It’s been around 5 years, but I finally went back and finished this hahah.

   Night had since swept over Port Royal and sleep remained miles out of your reach.    You had been marking down the days since you had last seen your beloved Theodore Groves. Worry and longing intermingled whenever you were reminded of the details of his job. That was precisely the reason why you found yourself out of your bedroom and roaming the quiet house.    As you were being drawn to one of the bookshelves of the room, a knock came from the front door. You paused, your fingertips brushing the spine of a book. It was a rare occurrence for anyone to visit at such a late hour. With the exception of an important message being delivered to your high ranking officer of a father.    After nearly a minute’s time, and your curiosity rising, your questions were answered.    “Good evening, sir,” the clear but faint voice of Theodore Groves spoke to your father. “I sincerely apologize for such a late and unexpected visit.”    Laughing, your father replied. “There’s no need. It has been a while since I’ve seen you off of a ship. You’re here to see my daughter, I assume?”    “Yes, sir.”    “I’ll go get her. I’m surprised she is awake at such an hour. She probably wondered over toward the books again,” he chuckled. “Unless she heard us already.”    Upon those words, you tightened your night-robe and made your way over to the archway dividing the two rooms. As you rounded the corner and met eyes with your father, hushed laughter ensued between the pair of you.    “I assume you know who’s here. I’ll give you two some time,” he smiled. “I’ll be in the other room if you need me.” With that said, he left.    After about two moments, you took quick strides to reach the patiently waiting naval officer.    “Theodore, you’re alright,” you sighed into his embrace.    “Hello, darling,” he greeted as you peppered the side of his face with adoring kisses. “I swear to you, I’m well. More so now.”    Ceasing your obvious display of affection, you held his face between your palms to look at him. “Where have you been?”    “Sailing around the Caribbean.”    “No kidding,” your humor presenting itself more dryly before you pecked his lips with yours.    “The Navy gave Captain Sparrow a day’s head start before we again pursued him.”    “No wonder I haven’t seen you, Theo,” you said, kissing him again.    Theodore’s eyelids fluttered dreamily. “I’m glad you’re not an interrogator.”    “What do you mean?”    He smiled. “I can’t keep anything from you. Not that I would.”    This time, it was him who initiated the well overdue affection. With his lips to yours and his hands softly keeping you close to him, you felt every past worry wash away.
