All canto (i-vi) credits art
I wanted to list all the souvenirs they have on the bus and now i have thoughts and i have noticed things that are making me SAD
Canto i: Wow the vibes are bleak. Obviously they have Yuri's mask hanging up but what's interesting is that both Charon and Vergilius are looking at it, Charon makes sense cause they were bonding but Verg less so. Maybe he just feels bad someone uninvolved died. Dante and Gregor are both going though it look at them. This is actually one of the problems I have with Canto i, Gregor doesnt really get any closure? Just gets traumatised again. The fact that no one has bothered to clean up the blood shows how low everyone's mood is.
Canto ii: Yay we're having fun now!! This time we have a poker chip, which feels more like an actual souvenir instead of a grim reminder. The Sinners are getting along more! And mephi is clean so thats nice
Canto iii: I'm not sure what the souvenir is meant to be? Maybe a piece of metal or a spear head? Chicken reward is great but kinda ominous when you take into account they go to K Corp next, Heathcliff, Meursault and Ryoshu's food crimes are very funny. Is Verg watching to make sure Charon doesn't choke on the chicken?
Canto iv: Don't know how they're hanging a photo from the bus window but ok. Everyone is chilling. Love how Yi Sang has the light on him, kinda makes it look like he's talking to the mirror again. Interestingly this is the first credits art where Verg is interacting with the Sinners, his pose is more relaxed too, loser is getting attached lol.
Canto v: I assume the rope is knotted in Queequeg's style, ouch. Don got her ice cream, good for her. I don't know what's happening with the seagull and I'm not sure I want to.
Canto vi: Heathcliff staring at his ring, pain. The heathcliff flowers being the only thing with colour, pain. Is Don looking through a box of toys? Did she steal it from the manor? Heathcliff might have let her since they do actually seem to be quite close. I can't really tell but is Dante holding the burnt bough in the back? I thought it was meant to be white? But now the sad thing I haven't seen anyone talk about yet, Verg is looking at the photo of the orphanage, given his talk with Faust about not getting everything he wanted out of the contract due to his interferance it's possible he's given up on seeing Lapis or Garnet again as that was the whole reason he joined Limbus Company which Faust knows about :(

I've had this Dreaming The Proposal AU sitting in my drafts for a while. Then @voukkake comes out with this art and I figured it was time to brush off the dust and share what I'd written lol. This is seriously all I'm going to write so if anyone is interested I'm begging you to pick this up. I'm dying to read Dream awkwardly interacting with Hob's family (also @valiantstarlights suggestion that Betty White is Destiny?? ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT). Anyway...
------------------
Dream is about to be deported because his visa application has been denied. He is in the middle of a meeting with his lawyers when Hob, his secretary, pops in the room to inform Dream of a very important phone call and Dream comes up with the insane plan to marry Hob to keep his immigration status.
He gestures for Hob to come over and Hob, clueless, wanders into the room and stands next to Dream, who takes him by the arm and tugs him just a little bit further to stand awkwardly close.
Dream announces their engagement and Hob stands there, shell shocked and feels his mouth moving against his will. That yeah, they are getting married. They are in love, sure. It isn’t until they leave the office, following Dream back to his, that Hob’s brain seems to come back online.
“What just happened in there?”
Dream grouses, head down, already back to his work as if nothing happened. Like he didn’t just use Hob as a pawn in his scheme to get around his denied visa application.
“They were going to make Morningstar editor-in-chief.” Is all Dream says, disdain dripping from every word. He still hasn’t looked up.
Hob stands there, still as a statue. His head is swimming with words, with emotions. Anger, disbelief, betrayal… and a small tiny flicker of undeniable interest that he hastily stomps out.
He manages to put the pieces together rather quickly though, while Dream continues sifting through paperwork.
“This is illegal,” Hob manages to croak out, brows furrowing.
“Oh, please. The government looks for terrorists, not book publishers.” Dream’s head is still down in his paperwork.
Hob blinks, taking a step up to Dream’s desk. “I'm not marrying you.”
“Sure you are.” Dream sets aside a stack of papers and finally gives Hob his attention. “Because if you don't, your dreams of ‘touching millions of lives with the written word’ are dead.”
Hob’s jaw drops. That was a line, corny as it was, that he’d used in the panel interview for this job. Three years ago.
----------------------
“Were you not in that room? I could get fined, I’ll go to jail over this. If you want me on this deal, you will promote me to editor.”
Without even glancing up from his phone, Dream scoffs.
“Absolutely not.”
“Well then I guess you’re screwed. Buh-bye.” Hob turns with a flourish and has to bite back a grin at how Dream splutters behind him and grabs him by the arm.
“Fine– fine! Editor.” His face seems to go through the five stages of grief. He drops his hold on Hob.
“And You’ll publish my manuscript.” Hob throws in. In for a penny.
Dream’s brows narrow and he shakes as if he’s physically controlling the urge to stamp his foot.
“Sure. I’ll publish your hack manuscript.”
“Good.” Hob slips his hands in his pants pockets, staring at Dream, deciding on one last nail in the coffin.
“Now do it properly.”
Dream cocks an eyebrow. “Do what properly?”
“Propose. Like you mean it.”
Dream’s entire body seizes up, but he manages not to let it show, distracting himself by slipping his phone in the pocket of his expensive slacks and clasping his hands in front of him.
“Will you marry me?”
“No.” Hob, the arrogant bastard, is visibly biting back a smirk. “Say it like you mean it.”
Dream takes a long, steadying breath through his nose.
“Hob Gadling. Will you–”
“And get on your knees.”
Dream absolutely refuses to decipher the thrill that shoots through his body at Hob’s command. Instead he keeps his mask of irritation and indifference on as he scans the crowd around them. They are still outside the courthouse, and the concrete sidewalk is going to potentially tear Dream’s Hugo Boss black wool pants.
So he carefully lowers himself, scowling as the smirk on Hob’s face only widens as Dream slowly settles onto the ground.
Once he’s as comfortable as Dream’s going to get, he clears his throat.
“Hob Gadling,” he glares at his subordinate from under his lashes. “Will you fucking marry me?”
Hob curls his lips in mock consideration, looking up past Dream’s head. He rocks back on his heels and nods with a forlorn sigh.
“Okay.” He still hasn’t met Dream’s gaze. “Could've done without the sarcasm but it will do. See you at the airport tomorrow.”
And turns and walks away, leaving Dream to fend for himself on the ground.

The colors of the copper on blackberry dye seem to have shifted from maroon to a very rich milk chocolate brown--which I will hardly complain about, since that's a hard brown to get. I do hope I get something more permanently reddish/purplish with alum--that's what I'll try next. I'm just waiting for the 9 pounds of raw fleece to arrive.
Last night I carded a lot of that blackberry dyed fleece and then put it on the blending board with about half of the white (which was the previous distaff dressing) as a little stripe to one side. Idk, just curious how it'll turn out and seemed more interesting to spin that way. Carding first definitely helps with consistency--both colors were willowed first and put on the blending board, but only the brown was carded as well, and it is much easier to keep smooth and least kind of even.
The one improvement of this phone camera over my old one is that it has a timer setting, so I can actually show where my hands normally are (sometimes anyway). Fairly comfortable although my distaff hand is starting to cramp. Might just be one of those days or might be too heavy for me, but the shape at least is good.
You can probably see that the white is still all over the place, but the brown is pretty even, just with lumps still on occasion. Also, the new height of this spindle means it's perfect for lap spinning rather than impossible to lap spin with, so I'm very happy about that.

honestly like, if you asked me what two possible mcyt events could you ever come up with to put communities at each others throats severely, i would've said "election" and "giant pvp event that last multiple days" and it's honestly a little amazing the team didn't see the issues that would so very clearly arise from both of these (though i do think the elections were mostly handled better than other mcyt elections i've seen, most of my issues came down to the way the debates happened, the waaaay too big of a percentage the audience vote had, & the fact the ending date kept being extended). i keep trying to remind myself like things will get better once we move onto a new arc in the server to get over purgatory, and it's been two months...
yeahhh it's like. big moves that frankly from the start we all knew would cause issues. the elections to me was SUCH a red flag like. mcrp elections never go well and it's a miracle they turned out as okay as they did, but the whole process and the aftermath was a bummer and felt deeply unnecessary.
and yeah we've talked about purgatory in gc before but just. i can't even express how awful it was imo and how it continues to fuck the overall narrative as well as individual characters (and the ccs!!). and like you said a huge pvp event (that lasted TWO WEEKS!!!!) with lore stakes makes everyone lose their shit and accuse every other team of being toxic or not caring enough about the nebulous theorized end result-- it was a recipe for disaster, it felt like players were being used to playtest an event, and it was just not fun. like, i loved bolas, im glad they managed to push through it in spite of literally everything, but it sucked so bad several of them had to take long breaks. like, that's not fun.
in general though i am hoping desperately that shit improves, waiting with bated breath for the return of baghera and cellbit (and jaiden and charlie as well eventually!) and for the overall story to feel less railroaded, and i do genuinely want to have hope that it will get better soon. and that they don't pull huge crazy stuff like this again in the future, or at least make it more optional for players to engage with.
