So we're talking Day of Hearts, I suppose, which is headcanoned to happen in august- which is also. Their anniversary. (Same date they got together, not the wedding date)

You'd think they would do something grand and over the top but actually they tend to spend the day with friends, simply using the celebration as a well deserved break from work. It's a casual date with whoever is available at the time. They go around town, buy stuffs, save Daniel from another blinddate set up by his parents, dance, plan a picnic, shenanigans happen but overall it's pretty chill.

They do, however, keep the evening for themselves alone. Usually they plan a nice dinner and exchange simple gifts. Activities varry a lot, it can go from cuddling at home to going back to the lab because they suddenly had the craziest idea during their conversations- as long as its something they can all enjoy together, anything goes.

Remember that one episode where the fandom thought Nuru would betray them and really she was just not talking much because her voice actor was having issues because that was funny as hell

They participate in actively sitting in each other's laps. Ask them when the last time they sat in an actual chair was and they stare off into the distance and have a flashback scene in their mind. Hugo is objectively uncomfortable to sit on but his scrawny twink ass is just laying on Varian whenever possible. Royal meeting and they don't have an extra chair for him? Everyone writes Yong as a miniature Varian but no one writes Nuru as a miniature Hugo. Wtf. Let them have the same level of sass but Nuru is Insane Woman and Hugo is Insane Man and they hate each other!! Wtf!!

Hmmm, I disagree with both ideas

I think Yong is more chaotic than Varian. He LOVES blowing shit up, whereas Varian was (and still is to an extent) absolutely terrified of the prospect. Varian's explosions have hurt and killed people, and that's terrifying. I think Yong's kingdom has a lot more fire precautions in place, so no one's gotten seriously hurt from his antics.

I think Nuru is plenty insane, but as a princess she's been kept in a box her whole life. She WANTS to get creative and blow stuff up, get her hands dirty, and cause problems on purpose. All the stuff that Hugo gets to do all the time being a street rat. While Hugo's sass comes from a desperate need to be better than everyone, and a heightened self importance, Nuru's would come from a more playful place because, as a princess, she doesn't want people (especially her friends) to think she sees herself as their superior.

I think they're all different in ways that compliment each other, not similar in ways where they are each other.
