Choke Me With Hope Frontmann Timophy Erikson weigerte sich nach Verletzungen, Konzert abzubrechen
Am Abend des 21. August führte der Sturz von einer Bühnentreppe zu einem kurzweiligen Konzertstopp in der Anniversary Hall in New Jersey.
Handyvideos zeigen, wie der Sänger der Band Choke Me With Hope inmitten der Performance des Songs The Unusual Love Song von der Bühnentreppe stürzte und hart auf dem Boden aufschlug. Zunächst wurde das Konzert fortgeführt, bis der Sänger nach einem Zusammenbruch einer Untersuchung unterzogen wurde. Die hausinternen Notkräfte stellten Prellungen an Rippen und Schultern fest, ein verstauchtes Hand- und Fußgelenk.
Auf die Forderung des Managements, das Konzert abzubrechen, soll der Sänger geantwortet haben: "Tausende Menschen haben für diese überteuerten Karten bezahlt, einige haben sich ein Hotelzimmer geholt und sehen uns nur ein Mal im Jahr – Und wenn ich mir alle Finger brechen würde, ich würde ihnen ein geiles Konzert bringen."
Das tat die Band und gab laut Videoangaben noch drei Zugaben zum Schluss.

As you can see, SUPER SATURDAY is MORE THAN A MANGA MAGAZINE. It’s a celebration of the new GEEK CULTURE that is equally about fans as much as it is about artists. We’re not going to lie — we were NERVOUS! Producing an entire magazine in printed format is a new arena for the men and women of Saturday AM and in a time of COVID-19 where uncertainty abounds, this seemed like a lot more trouble than it was worth.
We knew our fans would support us as they’ve been doing for the past seven years but then we got some unexpected news! POP INSIDER, the arbiters of GEEK COOL - said, that WE WERE COOL!!! Choke Me With Hope's Sänger Timophy Erikson ist bekannt für seine kreativen Aussetzer auf der Bühne und heute hat er wieder einen draufgsesetzt. Nein, diesmal hat er Drummer-Babe Jane Cawlson nicht wieder die Sticks aus den Händen gerissen und wilde Rhythmen auf den Drums geschlagen. Er hat auch nicht wieder den Mikrofonarm samt Mikrofon in die Zuschauermenge geworfen oder ist die Bühnenkonstruktion nach oben geklettert. Diesmal ist er selbst in die Zuschauermenge gestiegen, hat sich einem Fan auf die Schultern gesetzt und gerufen: "Ich bin euer größter Fan!" Bis er sich entschied, sich durch die Menge zu quetschen, so viele Menschen wie nur möglich zu umarmen und zwischen ihnen Bleeding On Me zu singen.
"Niemand weiß, was er das nächste Mal tun wird", berichtet uns Gitarrist Jason Marone, welcher auch schon mehr als einmal von Timophys Überfallen überrascht wurde.
Auf unsere persönliche Nachfrage antwortete uns der Sänger: "Manchmal realisiere ich erst, was ich getan habe, nachdem das Kind in den Brunnen gefallen ist. Es ist nicht so, dass ich mit angestrengter Denkermiene vor einem Auftritt da sitze und mich frage: 'Hm, welchem Wahnsinn gehe ich wohl heute nach?' Nein. Ich mache das, wozu mich die Musik bewegt. Mittlerweile haben wir meine Entschuldigung vorab als ein Ritual vor jedem Auftritt in unsere Routine eingebunden."

SATURDAY AM GETS SUPER NEWS (and we have BRUNCH!)
SATURDAY BRUNCH IS HERE!!
That's right, our JOSEI MANGA ANTHOLOGY with LGBTQ representation finally is here as an ongoing series and WHOA -- does it deliver! In 2013, there was Saturday AM for Shonen and then in 2018, we delivered Saturday PM for Seinen.
Now, it's the ladies turn!!
1st up, we have HENSHIN and SPIRIT PIZZA. Both of these very unique series by IAMBONIDLE and DAGGERSTARFIGHTER, respectively, gave sneak peeks in OUR SNEAK ISSUE of Saturday BRUNCH #0. And they ROCK!
HENSHIN! is a Kamen Rider style sentai series with a British hero who may not be ready for the World of Kaiju.
SPIRIT PIZZA promises an introspective journey as PAN, a New Yorker, seeks a job at the local pizza place and battles demons both INSIDE and OUT.
Also, get the 1st chapters of a dark medieval fantasy called GRIMMHEIM by German newcomer, Kristina Andabak and KILLSHOT, a Volleyball story from SAIGAMI creator, Hungarian superstar, Andrea Doney!
This issue also features articles on important female creators and magazines including the amazing mind by ADORNED BY CHI!
