FANTASY HIGH JUNIOR YEAR SPOILERS

i 100% think Ankarna/ uncorrupted ankarna is Figs nightmare king/Cassandra. This deity was made for her, just the description of this deities original domain 100% resonated with her, summoned a steed that was one of ankarnas, pulled ankarnas domain into her own, has been using magic that looks like SUNLIGHT instead of FLAME, and i think the decision emily makes that changes the direction of figs story has to do with ankarna

just like how Ally choosing to have Kristen worship the unnamed goddess and trust the unnamed goddess and the nightmare king were one and the same changed her story completely as well

HELL FIG IS DATING A PHOENIX, KRISTEN WAS DATING A WOLF WHEN SHE STARTED WORSHIPPING A GODDEXX OF THE NIGHT

And while neither Ayda or Tracker worship the goddess that their girlfriends chose/might choose to worship, they still have a major connection to the subject matter of these goddesses imo

Kalvaxus? Kalina? The Nightmare King? Kipperlilly Copperkettle? All great antagonists that both parodies and plays straight great villain archetypes. Dragon as a symbol of Libertarian Capitalism makes so much sense but is also now just the unliving ship of a devil pirate. A Type A student beefing with the ADHD Kid who can't finish a single paper but manages to ace an impromptu class presentation. You can clearly see why Tumblr would find ways to love these guys.

Bobby Dawn? The first line from him managed to earn a collective recoil from the entire fandom. That's impressive. Just a wave of disgust and fear when Bobby Dawn, a perfect televangelist cleric, speaks with such an intelligent and powerful southern drawl. One line and you feel the straight up malice this guy has for every other deity out there.

Good job, Mulligan. You did it again.

Nightmare King by Noctus Fury

Season 1 Episode 13 "Total Nightmare"

I really enjoyed this episode as it gave Snotlout and Hookfang an extra layer of character development and growth. And it was really lovely to see a further inside look into the Monstrous Nightmares. That was a lovely treat! 🥰

I also loved seeing Snotlout bonding with both of his Nightmares. I could totally see him just hanging out with them or babysitting the babies so that Hookfang and Mrs. Hookfang could "go on a date hunt" or whatever. So precious! 🥰

Anyone else think that Snotlout should just establish a Nightmare Sanctuary. 👀

Though I have to say that I was rather disappointed that we didn't get to see the female Nightmare get named. "Female Hookfang" is rather... I'll just say it, it's LAZY!! Just call her "Dragonfruit" or "Ember" or something. 😩

It's also sad that we don't get to see her or the babies again. I kinda wanted passing scenes or mentions of them and see Snotlout occasionally see them with Hookfang. But I guess I'll have to satisfy that urge with a fanfic or three. 😤

It was also disappointing to not see the baby Nightmares. I'm sure they were adorable! 🥺
