i would like a steddie musicians au fic where eddie is the front man of a popular metal band (obviously) and steve is the lead singer of a pop group (or maybe a more indie djo type deal? doesn’t matter) and they have a very public rivalry, often playing at the same venues/festivals around the same time to “compete”. preferably this is a modern au so they can tweet at eachother and shit.

except actually they’ve been married the Entire time.

the rivalry was an accident — maybe steve mentioned once that he wasnt really into metal, maybe eddie went on one of his conformity’s killing the kids fuck jocks speeches, and the bands were already kind of associated bc theyre from the same town + the thing with the venues, so the comments got taken as vaguepost-y insults abt the other

everyone finds it Hilarious, especially bc, other than continuing to bicker and occasionally tweet at eachother, (its how they flirt lol) they arent actually trying to hide their relationship. its public knowledge that theyre both married, just not to eachother. often the events theyre invited to a) dont appeal to the other or b) theyre both invited so they take advantage of the +1 rules to bring other friends along as well. this means that theres not much opportunity for them to be seen together (they do stay at home dates primarily, bc theyre so often out and surrounded by ppl for work that its nice to just be alone together for a while)

then one of them wins a grammy or smth and they talk abt the other in the speech and maybe kiss. the general public goes Insane and it is Glorious

I talked about this a bit on this earlier post and I don't think I have anything significant to add to it at this time. But I could tell you which perfumes they might wear in modern times? (Scents are hard to describe but I included some of their main notes to give you a vaguest idea of what they're like).

Heeley - Cardinal (linen, myrrh, frankincense) État libre d'Orange - Rien Intense Incense (frankincense, amber) Lalique - Encre Noire (cypress, vetiver)

#I'm kind of sensitive to strong smells but also one of those people that are constantly sniffing everything (?)#so navigating perfumery is kind of hazardous a lot of them give me a headache or make me feel sort of ill and dizzy #but I think these are nice I own/have owned all of these except Tuscan Leather #which is so sophisticated and rich and leathery but awfully overpriced and I don't think I can ever afford a full bottle #answered #anonymous #modern au #a lot of overlapping ingredients because big surprise leather and frankincense are my favorites #I usually wear perfumes at home only because smelling strongly is kind of a faux pas in Finnish culture #a lot of schools and workplaces for example are expected or at least strongly encouraged to be as scent free as possible #which is smart I approve that #but it does limit your opportunities to find uses for these things

Here's what I've got for any crumbs of lore:

Uhhh I guess if I had to put a label on it I'd call it some kinda science vs mythos au ????

Basically, Dr. Kaiba (cause he's a scientist with a doctorate, smart boy) works at a highly classified facility (think like SCP) and finds himself assigned to a relatively new and infamous subject (it's Wheeler). The subject is tied to all kinds of rumors, which gained it quite a scary reputation, much to Kaiba's dismay. Unexpectedly, when Kaiba turns up to the job, he finds that the subject is nothing like the rumors. It even calls itself by a name: Joey.

The general idea would be a sort of freedom vs captivity struggle. Kaiba and Joey would have very conflicting perspectives, Joey feeling as though he's just here temporarily to help out and learn about the world (loosely calling himself a diplomat, albeit his trip is not official) meanwhile Kaiba fully acknowledges him as a lab subject to study that has no means of escape.

I also like the idea of Joey falling first, but Kaiba falling harder :3c

Hey so remember how part of why Shadow was made was to find a cure for Maria's terminal illness?

AU where Maria survives getting shot and crawls her way to one of Gerald's labs, injecting herself with a prototype cure. Except even though it works, she's a hedgehog now, and her memory gets scrambled. But she vaguely remembers she has to reuinite with Shadow, so she crawls in another escape pod and launches herself at Earth. Only to wake up nearly 50 years later, ending up getting emotionally attached to Sonic, and oh did I mention she tried to remember her name but misremembered "ma ri a" as "a me ri a" (Amelia)? As in, Amy?

So anyway, Amy and Maria are both 12, and Amy parrots Maria's exact words back to Shadow during the ending of Adventure 2, so uhhhh, yeah, that gave me brain thoughts.

Okay someone who knows more about dnd than I do help me sort out princess tutu rpg classes. My thoughts so far:

Tbh I could see Duck as either a bard or a cleric. Bard for nonviolent approaches to conflict and a dance focus. That said I could totally see her as a cleric, she’d make a natural fit as the healer of the party and princess tutu could be her deity.

Ok so Fakir has to multiclass in like the most inefficient way right? Starts as a low hp high dps melee fighter and eventually makes the transition to a magic user class (warlock perhaps?? Wizard of some sort?). It’s kind of funny to imagine him as guy who desperately needs a high wis/int but keeps dumping all his stats into strength out of sheer stubbornness. I mean he doesn’t HAVE to switch classes but I think it makes the most sense, he starts in a class that he’s really not suited for and has to transition to what’s best for him even if he’s not happy about it.

Mytho is a natural fit for a paladin tank (though I’d listen to an argument for cleric). He’s throwing himself in the way to protect all the members of the party with no regards to his own safety. Probably dies a lot.

Rue I’m most undecided on. I could see her as a magic using class like Druid (preferred form is a crow) or warlock (makes a pact with the Raven) or even a bard who uses her persuasion to start drama. In a totally different direction, I could also see her as a rogue just to balance out the party; she’s clever, resourceful, nimble, etc.

PLS GIVE ME YOUR THOUGHTS IVE BEEN ARGUING WITH MYSELF ABOUT THIS FOR AGES

#princess tutu #when I was playing dragon age origins I was assigning them classes #and the lore just writes itself MY GOD #the overlap between da and tutu fans is so small but if anyone cares I have lore I have backstories I have a whole fucking au #that said! the world of da is too bleak for those kids get them out of there!!#princess tutu: sex and violence #get them out of there 😭#anyways I don’t know thatttt much about dnd but I am a big nerd #basing my class ideas here around. world of warcraft. what I’ve picked up from critical role.#and the character creation screen of baldurs gate
