While we wait on the new Addams Family series ‘Wednesday’, I thought I might take it upon myself to ask you which are your favourite actors you love that portrayed the character Wednesday here?

People forget that there is a 90s show called The New Addams Family and as someone who watched it as a child, I am severely disappointed by the lack of internet love for it.

So there was a sitcom version of the Addams family that I know existed but I havnt been able to find it.

In it Wednesday gets her hands on smallpox and pugsley joins the boyscouts.

The lyrics to the theme song were '...welcome to the addmas family, come Into the addams family...'

I swear this thing existed but I cannot fucking find it, I grew up in west Africa and I saw it on TV but now I can't find it again.

There are a few Addams Family sitcoms out there, but from the sounds of that theme song snippet, you’re thinking of The New Addams Family. It aired from 1998 through 2001, and I know there was an episode where Pugsley joined the Scouts. I’m not sure about a smallpox episode, but it might just be slipping my attention at present. On YouTube, a video of the opening song is available, as well as a playlist of all the episodes in full.

Huh. Just realized that I have actually never seen The Addams Family movies. I have a vague memory of watching something Addams family-related as a child but it turns out it was some show called "The New Addams Family" that people don't seem to talk much about nowadays. Or if they do I never see it being brought up. Wild

So I'm seeing a lot of Wednesday comparisons and different Addams family movies/shows. But does anyone remember this one? I think it was Canadian/American back in late 90s? I used to watch this shit all the time and honestly it was very entertaining

I can't figure out the song they keep playing in backyard scenes in The New Addams Family and it's driving me nuts. The first line starts "Your long, dark, raven hair" and it sounds like maybe Sinatra is singing it? Does anyone know this song?

It's leap day, everyone! Let's jump into today with Gomez on a pogo stick as in the episode Addams Family in court. A thing I really like about TNAF is Gomez's very extended wardrobe, which also happens in the movies. Give Glenn Taranto a chance, he's pretty funny, has a very cute face and a fitting voice! And he's pretty orange too - the ideal tint for a Hispanic daddy. But you may not like Morticia - she has no V-neck and is really pale, but her voice is on point. THAT IS NOT ALL, THEY ACTUALLY FRENCH KISS IN THE SERIES. Fester is great, but he's gray. And Wednesday is actually pretty creepy! The series is no lost media, just obscure like the animated series. Llike some extint languages, social media is a great way to spread it and make more people know and learn about some lesser known TV shows... Hoop you like it! Return of the infamous Addams Family in a series that doesn't change anything from the previous ones while updating the franchise just a bit. The series is pleasant to watch and is a good gift for longtime lovers. An authentic dive into the past without any ambition to be something it is not.
