I just decided to look at the documents on Gomez’s desk properly in the first Addams film right after the swordfight with Tully near the start and sdfghjkl;kjh

I paused the film there and

One of them is a letter to the owner of a “home for wayward and wilful children” in “Entrailia County” about her not paying rent to him…

And the other is…even weirder (or at least, a very entertaining image) as it is an agreement of some kind with a film production company for Gomez to play an executioner in a film

I have never seen this commented on before

I was genuinely not expecting there to be anything but lorem ipsum or something asdfghjkl

Wondering if the 60s writers who decided Gomez and Morticia would regularly drink henbane tea were aware that (as well as being very poisonous in higher doses) henbane can apparently act as an aphrodisiac.

I just discovered this on Wikipedia and it would…explain a lot.
