The Monsters are on Maple Street

We are all familiar with the 1960's Twilight Zone classic episode The Monsters are Due on Maple Street, an allegory to McCarthyism and red scare, in which a community experiences weird occurrences and friendly neighbors turn against each other, not knowing who to trust.

But did you know that in the 2002 incarnation of The Twilight Zone, they remade the episode? This time however, the allegory is no longer about paranoia against communists, but against terrorists.

I will always argue that the 2002 incarnation of The Twilight Zone was the only one to capture the spirit of the original, and I recommend all the episodes for any fan of the Rod Serling show. Most of the episodes are available on youtube, but if you only watch one of them, make it this one.
