Friendly reminder that in 3x22 "Tomorrow", Cordelia tells Skip she is about to have the most important conversation of her life.
Of her life.
That was going to be THE conversation. The "This is it, it's us." conversation. The endgame conversation.
& Cordelia would continue to have his blood ready for him but with extra kisses.
& they would have figured out a way to be intimate.
& Angel would continue to teach Cordelia how to defend herself with Connor to help.
& they would have learned more about her demon powers
& they would learn about being parents to a teenager and have silly arguments about peanut butter on the bed.
& Angel would tell Connor first about wanting to ask Cordelia to marry him
& the Fang Gang would help Angel pick out a wedding ring and Lorne would be pleasantly surprised at Angel's taste
& Cordelia would say yes
& Lorne would officiate the wedding with Dennis being the ring-bearer
I'm just saying.
(& now, I want a fanart of Angel & Cordelia being officiated by Lorne at their wedding)

One of my favorite moments from the Angel book "The Longest Night." In this novel, there are various different stories that take place on season three's Winter solstice and it's up to you to choose which one you want to be canon--if any of them--so to speak.
In this story, Angel has enlisted Cordelia's help for some last-minute Christmas shopping, in saying that he has no idea what to get for Fred and Gunn in particular. Cordy comes up with the idea of getting some old-time movie posters for Gunn and they go to a store to do just that. She comes up with the idea to get a poster for him, that actress Grace McCandless had starred in it and mentions off-handedly that she wouldn't mind something like that, herself. But it turns out that this whole thing had been set up by Angel, because he seemingly knew that Cordy would suggest getting the Grace poster for Gunn, creating the perfect situation for her to meet the actress right after (something needed to boost Cordelia's morale, as she'd started to lose faith that she'd ever be an actress). It's a very sweet story.

"Nausicaä raised her hand.“Question, because I felt like we were maybe on the same page up until the whole pedophile thing: Hi, I’m Nausicaä. You can call me the Dark Star. I work for the High Queen of the Eight Great Courts, and she’s sent me to bring you in
so she can perform all sorts of No Bueno dark magic on you to resurrect one of the Seven Sins she’s injected into your heart and definitely murder you in the process.” Dropping her hand, she peered a little closer at her puppy. “What are you doing?”
Puppy’s eyes widened with disbelief before narrowing sharply with suspicion.
“You don’t work for the Fang Gang?”
“I… kind of want to set whatever the Fang Gang is on fire for having such a stupid fucking name, but no.”

In the novelization of "A New Man" via "The Journals of Rupert Giles," it says that for Buffy's birthday that year (Buffy season 4), the Scoobies got her a cake with a Supergirl cake topper (which is awesome and all too fitting, of course). I'm assuming that happened in the episode itself, of course, and isn't just something the novelization added in. But I never noticed that in the episode itself!
But I love how that parallels Angel Investigations getting Cordelia a cake with Wonder Woman on it (her as Wonder Woman?) for her birthday in Angel season 3.
