It's so funny to me that there's a TOS episode called "The Enterprise Incident". Like, there's an incident every episode, and they all involve the Enterprise. It doesn't tell you anything about what you're about to watch. It could describe any episode. Of multiple series.

Imagine flirting with a guy, thinking he's into you, then getting captured by him and his boyfriend. And then the guy's boyfriend has him escort you to quarters

Mommy? Sorry. Mommy? Sorry. Mom--

Kirk: propel us straight into the neural zone

Kirk when they get surrounded by the enemy: *surprised Pikachu face*

Me: there was LITERALLY NO REASON for this to happen!! How tf are you gonna explain yourself kirk????!????

the absolute magnetism, tension, yearning between Spock and that romulan commander in the enterprise incident. it's probably the only time in TOS that spock gets to meet somebody who fully and completely understands him as a being and appreciates everything he is. he's so comfortable in his own skin with her, because his vulcan nature is what brings them together, and his emotional side she can grasp as well. he doesn't need to hide one or the other, so he feels so deeply relaxed and the connection feels so genuine. the commander is intelligent, refined, and still passionate and martial: a perfect match to spock's sophistication and restraint - and there's nothing short of complete respect and admiration between the two of them in the end. gotta love it.

Once again hats off to Leonard Nimoy for recognizing shit that would be out of character for Spock.
