﹒many fans will prefer aizetsu, and i can see why. but isn’t urogi just as pretty and deserving of love?

﹒with his s/o, urogi is very chipper. it is no surprise, he is the clone of joy. but when he’s with you his glee is increased tenfold. like a duckling following its mother, urogi will trail after you constantly. boundaries such as personal space is something he does not have the grasp of, so you will need to take initiative.

﹒urogi likes touching you at all times, whether it’s hand holding or having a wing wrapped around you. PDA is something he enjoys, and he is not ashamed to show his love for you, especially publicly. when you two are together somewhere more private, cuddles are a necessity. little spoon or big spoon, he doesn’t have a preference. he enjoys your touch either way.

﹒matching nicely with his appearance, urogi does have bird-like mannerisms. standard things like chirping and sqwuaking, preening and molting.. speaking of molting, urogi dreads and hates it when his feathers begin to molt. he takes great pride in his wings, often busying himself grooming and taking care of them. often times he will show you his finished product, proudly spreading his wings as he demands for your opinion; mostly just fishing for your praise. when he molts, he becomes moody and almost sluggish. he’ll be sprawled across your lap, whining and meekly asking you to groom his feathers for him.

﹒him asking you to groom his feathers is a frequent thing, but it is a sign of trust. his wings are very precious to him, so he trusts that you will also take great of them. thus, when he begins to molt, you brushing out any stray feathers becomes a common occurrence. it eases him, and it shows visibly. you can see his shoulders relaxing, and when he sighs of relief you can see the pent up air exiting his body. you’ll hear an occasional chirp and mewl from him if he’s feeling particularly good.

✿ Urogi sways back and forth as you weave your fingers delicately through his wings, searching and picking out any loose feathers. It’s hard, when the demon keeps moving, but you had stopped telling him to sit still awhile ago. Even when he becomes moody from his molting, Urogi is still a bundle of energy; an unstoppable force.

✿ As the demon sways, you mention his wings; his ears perk up at this. You talk about how pretty they are, and how silky smooth they are to the touch. He has heard this before, but that doesn’t make him any less ecstatic. Urogi practically purrs at your praise, and he clicks his talons together giddily.

✿ “Of course!” He giggles, beaming. “I’m a very beautiful demon, very beautiful!”

﹒urogi fully believes he deserves your undivided attention. as well as demanding your opinion on things such as his wings or general appearance, he will often look back at you looking for reassurance. “Isn’t that right, darling?” or “Well, my darling says so!” are things you will hear often when he is conversing with others. sometimes he will nag you to simply look at him, because isn’t he the prettiest thing you have ever laid your eyes upon? there’s no need to look at anyone else. keep your eyes on him, darling.

﹒did you know that courtship between eagles insists of them clasping their talons together, as they fly in the sky? you bet that urogi will do this with you too. he’ll hold you by the hands 【or feet if he’s feeling wild】 and take off to the sky, giggling and cackling. whether you’re thrilled by this or absolutely terrified is up to you, though being 50ft in the air is more than enough to scare anyone. don’t look down, darling.

﹒the demon has a nest, surprise surprise. it’s a bit messy, and a tad bit untidy, but it’s immensely comfortable and he’s proud of it. anything he hoarded or has taken interest in will be tossed in that nest, and most likely you too. like a dragon’s den, he only takes the greatest treasures.

Okay, so I went ahead and did it. I went ahead and started turning Undertale AUs into NON-Legendary/Mythical Pokemon, starting with the Dreamtale Twins (+ Shattered). This is gonna be Version 1, as I have multiple ideas that don't go together.

~Nightmare (Version 1)~

Name: Alphera (Alpha + Hera).

Category: The Majesty Pokemon.

Type: Dragon/Poison.

Abilities: Queenly Majesty or Moxie.

Hidden Ability: Serene Grace.

Signature Move: Cross Poison.

Gender Ratio: 12.5% male, 87.5% female.

Height: 5'11".

Pokédex Entry: Alphera is a dual-type Dragon/Poison Pokemon and the evolved form of Dracocub. This Pokemon is the dominant member of its pride and rules with absolute authority, comparable to a monarch. It prides itself on retaining an elegant appearance and will often refrain from engaging in combat for this reason. It has an eye for jewels and will often decorate itself with shiny things. As such, an Alphera's den is a common hoarding ground for evolutionary stones and various treasures. Alphera is notably protective of Dracocubs and will protect them from major threats. Whenever a Dracocub in its pride is endangered by a mighty foe, Alphera will shed its majestic demeanor and embrace its ferocious instincts. It was previously thought to secrete special toxins to make Dracocubs obedient and loyal.

Trivia: Alphera is primarily based on the idea of a manticore, but also takes inspiration from Pyroar and Vespiquen. In terms of gameplay, a Dracocub would only be able to evolve into an Alphera depending on its stats/IVs. An Alphera's scorpion tail has grown to full length and size, and is thus more able to effectively use it in combat, hence why it has a Poison typing while Dracocub doesn't.

~Dream (Version 1)~

Name: Dracocub (Draco + Cub).

Category: The Loyal Pokemon.

Type: Dragon.

Abilities: Vital Spirit or Pickup.

Hidden Ability: Poison Touch.

Signature Move: Noble Roar.

Gender Ratio: 12.5% male, 87.5% female.

Height: 2'0".

Pokédex Entry: Dracocub is a mono-type Dragon Pokemon and the pre-evolved form of Alphera. This Pokemon makes up the majority of a pride. Though its poison has not fully developed, it will still use its stinger to attack foes. Dracocubs are childlike in personality and idolize Alphera, striving to become stronger and more responsible. In order to please the leader of the pride, Dracocubs will often go scavenging for shiny objects. Previously thought to be mindless followers, Dracocubs are remarkably intuitive and stay loyal to an Alphera based on its behavior and leadership. If an Alphera mistreats its pride, a Dracocub may defect from the group and become a stray.

Trivia: Although a Dracocub does not have a secondary typing, its Poison Touch ability comes from the fact that it still has poison in its body, it just can't effectively use it. Being scratched by a Dracocub's scorpion tail still has a chance of poisoning someone. Because Dracocubs are social creatures, it is very rare to find a stray. If a Dracocub is a stray for long enough, it can achieve a special evolution separate from Alphera.

~Shattered (Version 1)~

Name: Manticruel (Manticore + Cruel).

Category: The Survival Pokemon.

Type: Poison/Dark.

Abilities: Intimidate or Moxie.

Hidden Ability: Corrosion.

Signature Move: Dire Claw.

Gender Ratio: Inconsistent.

Height: 5'5".

Pokédex Entry: Manticruel is a dual-type Poison/Dark Pokemon and the evolved form of Dracocub. When a Dracocub becomes so consumed by negativity, whether it be from surviving on its own or being mistreated, it turns cold-hearted and evolves into this form. Due to the potency of its venom, only the most experienced trainers should attempt to catch this Pokemon. If a stray Dracocub evolves into a Manticruel, it may return to its original pride to challenge the Alphera in a battle to the death. On this rare occasion, a pride may be led by a Manticruel. Although a Manticruel's trust may be earned by a trainer, it can never return to its once sociable and innocent nature.

Trivia: Originally, Manticruel was going to be a Dragon/Dark type. Manticruel often live far from the habitats of other Pokemon primarily due to their self-reliant nature, and they can be very territorial. Their territory is often marked by scratches and a pungent odor of toxic substances. Although there is no kind of permit officially required to catch a Manticruel, it is widely believed that only experienced trainers should go seeking one. A Dracocub can also evolve into a Manticruel if it is met with enough mistreatment from its trainer.

Ok, so a single person asked for dragon lore, so they are getting it.

Dragons in my world are an intelligent magical species capable of communication with other intelligent species. They are loners highly territorial and have a penchant for hoarding. Dragons can hoard anything, though shiny things tend to be the favourite.

Talking about shiny things, I should probably talk about the scales! Dragon scales are crystalline in nature, and grow out only once. A dragon is born with tiny scales, that keep growing throughout their lives. Every dragons scales are unique! However, there are certain commonalities. There are two main types of dragons and therefore two main types of scales: fire dragon scales, that can withstand heat for long amounts of time, and lightning dragon scales, which can withstand electrical currents, in short bursts concentrated in one area, unlike fire scales, which would crack under such concentrated pressure. However, withstanding long time heat is a problem for lighting scales.

Each dragons scales can also only stand the amount of heat or current that the dragon in question is capable of creating. For example, if another dragons fire is hotter, the scales will melt or crack and fall off.

Dragons have two pairs of wings, front big pair, and back small pair. They have long thin bodies and short legs, front paws with opposable thumbs made for precision, and back pair reminiscent of birds of prey, made for grabbing prey out of the air and never letting it go. Terrible for running. They are great swimmers tho!

They have four eyes, one front facing pair, for following their prey, and one facing up, to look for areal threats, usually other dragons.

Their long thin neck serves a purpose as well. Since they can grow insanely gigantic, and their ideal size sits somewhere between an elephant and a 3 story family house, they are quite limited in where they can fit. Their necks make it possible to follow prey through thicker foliage and into dens.

The longer and spikier a dragons horns are, the older they are.

Fire dragons tend to be a single colour with metallic accents, and lightning dragons tend to have a darker hide and lighter belly. Their hide also has metallic accents, and is where they're the most heat resistant.

Dragons are proud and self centred in their nature. A dragon is solitary, unless they wish to reproduce. They look for the strongest mate possible, and once they're done, they return to their solitary way of life.

Their eggs need a great deal of energy to hatch, and so they're either left in great fires or occasionally volcanoes, in which case they hatch a fire dragon. Or storms, in which case the dragon hatched is a lightning dragon.

The hatchlings are the most vulnerable for the first five years, during which their scales are growing to the right thickness. Until then, their skin still breaks easily. Hatchlings are traditionally left to fend for themselves from birth, and sometimes don't even know their parents. The traditional way is to hang around until the egg hatches, telling the hatchling who their parents are, and maybe teaching them a few hunting and flying tips, then leaving.

Of course, dragons are an intelligent species, and can consciously differ from this pattern. Some parents stay for the whole 5 years, and wait for the young dragon to finish growing their scales. Some leave before the child hatches. Some adopted human traditions and let their hatchlings stay and return as long as they want to.

Dragons do not have a human sense of gender. They are aware of two different types of dragons, a She, who bears the eggs and a He, the one that does not, but this is where the differences end. For dragons, biological sex, and therefore gender is purely sexual in nature. If you are stating your biological sex in a conversation, it is obvious what you want. You are basically trying to see if the other dragon is 'compatible'.

This causes quite a few misunderstandings with humans. It is also why the words father and mother in draconese do not exist, however daughter and son do. (Because if you mention powerful and well known parents in your introduction, you higher your chances of getting laid, and you might as well kill two birds in one stone and specify your sex. Very practical. At least according to dragons.)

Some dragons are capable of changing their shape magically, though it is not a common power, and even then, many dragons are too proud to adopt a 'lesser' shape. Still, some dragons, in the continued urbanisation by humans, have adapted and chose to don a human shape. Furthermore, all dragons can stop their growth on will, as not to get too big.

The human concepts of good and evil, selfishness, compassion or mercy are not in the dragon nature. They can and do learn them, but a dragon does not feel guilty. Sparing a life is not out of compassion, but a conscious choice.

Do not impose human ideals on a dragon. For just like a weed isn't evil for overgrowing your garden, a dragon isn't evil for burning a village. Because they lack the concept of right and wrong, unless it is imposed on them by people.

Big item database revamp!

Phew this took me a while and there are still things left to do (well I'd never finish) but I think it's in an okay shape to replace the old that was in a very sorry state.

One major thing that I wanted to make sure is that the apparel and skin/accent preview mode that I know users appreciate at Kanojo is working. There are also a few improvements:

Use swipe on mobile or arrow keys on desktop to switch between the details of all search results on the page.

While the Item DB has always had next and previous links (those were kept too). You can now swipe or use the keyboard. Wanted to see how all Skydancer female skins in all of history look on your dragon? Now you can!

The DB saves your last entered preview Dragon ID by breed!

Meaning you can have different preview dragons configured for all skins types (breed and gender). This also translates to apparel preview where it will fill the input field when you switch to view a different breed. You can also paste the whole dragon URL into the field and it will pick out the ID for you!

Improved search

The old DB relied a lot on user input and that was from a time where the game database didn't exist. This is also the part that suffered the most during the last months while the old DB was still online. No chest contents, no item source information. The new pulls everything it can from the official Game Database and you can search for all Hibernal Den items etc. You can also toggle between also viewing private skins or just site items!

Stable urls

I can not guarantee that all urls will work forever but right now your whole search is included in the url, whether you have item details open and when you switch between links inside the database. You can share your search more easily and when you click through the DB like crazy you can use the back button to go back however many steps you want. Item details also have quick links to searches to all items of that category or subcategory or even view all skins from one artist!

Color breakdown of items are shown as a summary bar like in the old DB but you can click to expand it for a more detailed view.

It's now more than ever also suited for mobile viewports. Also all the information for one item are on the same page, no clicking through tabs! (Looking at you game database!)

What now?

Long term

I'd also like it to preserve historic data like one off Baldwin recipes that are now gone on the official Game Database (and that users preserve by posting comments). Unfortunately backfilling this data will be mostly manual and I hope I can get your help at some point. I will probably nuke all user accounts because they were mostly for editing and moderating and that needs a different approach now. If logins come back that will be so you can save item lists and the likes.

Short term

Search results ordering is still missing

Reporting for items that have wrong info. I've already noticed that custom skins often go online with the wrong breed/gender information and gets corrected afterwards. My Item DB needs to be informed to refetch those. For the meantime you can also write me a message when you notice it happening.

As this is a rewrite, not everything might go smooth, in that case please also message me!

FANTASY VERSE : THE CURSED CHILD

Name: Tomura Shigaraki

Class: Summoner/dark mage, Rogue/assassin

STORY: (tw: suicide, death) under construction/events may be added or changed as i develop the story

Shigaraki was born with a curse. His curse takes away his ability to hold what is most dear to him and to grasp onto the unlimited power his parents sought after. Everything he touches with all five of his fingers crumbles away and turns to dust. Because of this, he grew up full of spite, anger, and hatred for the world. He did nothing wrong, was merely born into a place he did not know -- and already it damned him to a life of suffering.

His parents had traveled far into the mountains in search of an artifact said to be hoarded by a dragon. This artifact was said to grant the wielder great power and riches beyond their comprehension. Upon reaching the dragon’s den, they would come face to face with the beast. The artifact was indeed there, but it had been fused into the dragon’s scales. The dragon was slain and the artifact was lost with it, but upon breathing its last breath, the beast put a curse on them. Their children, and their children’s children, and so on, would be born with a curse. The curse of destruction. Shigaraki’s parents did not heed its words, and so had a child.

When the child was born, he was sickly and frail. He was hard to take care of, and it was only after the child held his father’s finger in his tiny hand that they realized their mistake. The father was killed by the innocent touch of a baby -- and his mother was left to raise him on her own.

Raising him was a challenge. His hands were cursed. She spent most of her time teaching him how to hold things without destroying them, which proved to be exhausting. Raising him took its toll on her, however, and when he was the age of 7 she took her own life and left Shigaraki to fend for himself.

It was shortly after this incident that a mysterious man (AFO) would take him in after finding him wandering the empty roads half starved. Seeing Shigaraki’s potential and raising him as his own son, he taught him how to utilize his curse, showed him how it was not all bad, and that there was usefulness in his unfortunate ability. He also taught him the art of dark magic, and how to summon powerful creatures called Nomu to fight at his side if he should ever need them. But AFO did not want him to rely entirely on magic. He trained him, taught him how to read, how to write, and taught him close combat skills and maneuvers which included knowledge of how to wield knives efficiently.

Past Life Regression

So I just came out of doing a past life regression with guided hypnosis/meditation (the video I used can be found here) and I want to write my experiences down quickly because I forget things like this very quickly.

I found myself jumping ahead of the guide a few times and had to remind myself to slow down.

As I slipped deeper into the subconscious and past, I definitely used my wings to travel. (Flying with wings just feels... better, more controlled, than floating like I think you’re kind of supposed to. It works, anyway, so that’s the important thing.) I also noticed that even before I had moved into my past life fully, I was already feeling a mental shift stronger than normal - at one point it felt like I was both dragon and human, the two forms overlapping each other in a weirdly synchronized way.

Moving into the past life gave me some insights as to my dragon’s form and nature, and kind of confirmed some of the vague feelings I’d had before:

- Blue scales, rounded in most places. I ran a talon over my flank as the guide was talking about clothes, out of curiosity, and the feeling of clawtip clicking lightly over scales was beyond satisfying. (I think I may understand why running my fingernails over the walls and anything on them, particularly the metal lockers at school, is so satisfying to me now.) - Broad, strong wings, which is nothing I hadn’t already guessed, but I saw that the webbing was pale blue, something I didn’t already know. - Two sturdy horns, nothing excessively long or complicated from what I picked up. - I think there was a frill/fin running down my neck and back, but I’m not totally sure how far it stretched or how tall it stood. - Gender was not important to me as a dragon, apparently, which I suppose is fair enough. - I lived in a forested, mountainous area, and my lair/den was a cave in dark blue-gray stone. The interior was decorated with crystals and some sentient race must have existed in my world, because there were definitely coins in the mixed bag that was my hoard. I think I just liked them because they were shiny. I have no idea how I got them. - I wasn’t sure of my name until I moved farther ahead, and saw a black dragon, larger than me... they were important to me, but I don’t know why. They called me Rani, but it might have been short for something. - The first memory I accessed, I was alone. But I think by the end of my life, I died surrounded by family and friends. There were at least a few others present, but I didn’t see anyone clearly except the black dragon.

YouTube decided to glitch halfway through, so I did have to stir myself out of the relaxation to get up and fix it, and I don’t think I got quite back to the same level of deep relaxation again. That might have affected how clear some of the memories were. But I realized (only after returning) that I did in fact see things, even though visualization is usually very hard for me. I will probably do this again some time.

I will also almost definitely try to sketch my dragon again because I have a clearer image of her now, but we’ll see how that goes.
