Platonic, romantic, I don't particularly care which one it is but I need it so desperately. I need it, and yet I can't bring myself to write it. Not because it makes me uncomfortable, but because I am experiencing detrimental writer's block as my mind is being overrun by Kieran from Scarlet/Violet, just the Forces of Nature from Pokémon in general (Tornadus my most beloved of the quartet), and Olivia Rodrigo's "Vampire" playing on loop 24/7

Maybe this is some Y/N type stuff, but being cringe is dead and life is hell, so let's enjoy whatever we can get our hands on

I can't remember if I asked this before, so I'll ask now: What if Ink was colorblind? Or what if he perceived colors differently from everyone else, kinda like how certain animals can see colors that we fleshy mammals cannot?

Like, just imagine the possibilities for both of these options. I remember coming across a post on this hellsite that was about Adventure Time; the OP was colorblind and thought that one of the characters- Princess Doctor, I believe, or something like that- was a human because they perceived her green skin differently. I can see Ink talking about something like this while watching TV with the others.

Alternatively, this could make for some colorblind shenanigans when it comes to his vials, too, or even when just painting in general. Imagine he's running low on his active paints and he asks Dream to grab some colors, and Dream comes back with the wrong ones. When he's making a painting in his free time, he's explaining what the colors symbolize to his friends, and they're just nodding along because they don't have the heart to say that he used to "wrong" colors.

As for the forbidden color spectrum, there's so many possibilities with this one. Imagine Ink and the others are watching TV when all of a sudden he mentions a color that nobody has ever heard of before, so they all collectively give him confused looks but don't comment on it because. They assume it's just Ink being Ink. And while that's technically true in this scenario, it doesn't change the fact that he sees the forbidden colors.

I think today has been rather productive on my end. I finished the rough drafts of two essays, I did a discussion board assignment, and I feel sick to my stomach!

Working on another backstory for my Food Fantasy AU in the UTMV and I've come to the realization that I get to write Fallacy and Encre making out. Sweet.

I know I'm not the best when it comes to getting canon characterization right, but when I deviate from canon, I (usually) have a justified reason for doing so. Whether that be projection or differences for AU purposes, it's usually understandable.

And then there's the pain that comes from blatant mischaracterization that has nothing to do with an AU, and it's either because the person genuinely sees the character that way or does it for weird shipping purposes. Like, really weird shipping purposes. I'm talking "Character A is such a frail bottom UwU" and "Character B is such a strong top, protecting their precious partner". THAT kind of weird change for shipping. Especially when it comes to LGBTQ+ couples.

I just thought of a scenario. Maybe more like an OC concept, but for now, scenario. I usually talk to my friends about scenarios where the Creators make random things happen just for the sake of it, almost like the Multiverse is a simulation or sandbox game. An example, aside from what I'm about to say, would be creating some new type of virus in the code or suddenly introducing omegaverse elements throughout the Multiverse.

Well, I've just thought of the scenario where they create what's essentially a glitched version of Ink. Maybe I'll call him Inklitch, sounds better than Glink or Glitchink. Anyway, they did for the sake of fun and curiosity. This glitched version isn't necessarily an inversion, he kinda looks similar to Fatal in the sense that he looks like Ink but with some typical glitchy elements. This glitch is a tad destructive, though, and breaks things on accident because he thinks he's helping. He isn't malicious or violent. He simply spawned out of nowhere with no guidance other than "Go. Be free. Explore". He's practically a baby.

Personally, I think it'd be super cute if this glitchy version ended up getting adopted by Ink and Error. But only after chaotic shenanigans of an Ink look-a-like running around and making problems for everyone else.

Realizing I've updated one of my AO3 stories on April Fools

I hope everyone's been having a good day so far. Because I haven't been. I waited over a month to get my grade for my midterm, right, and I got a D. You wanna know why I got a D?

For a little context, we have two versions of the legend of King Arthur in our textbook. One is the ANCIENT ancient one by Geoffrey of Monmouth, I think it is, and the other is the version by Thomas Malory. It's been so long that I don't even fully remember what the prompt for the midterm was, but I do know that it was about the importance of supernatural elements and stuff in early literature. How tf are we gonna read a retelling and not the original story when they're both in the same textbook

I will never be normal about the family of the First Humans in my Hazbin Hotel AU. I will never be normal about it. I really took this AU and said "Family angst to the MAX". Also this may or may not contain spoilers about Hazbin Hotel, so be warned about that when reading this.

Since we don't know much of anything about Eve in Hazbin Hotel's canon universe, the Eve included in this post is obviously how I imagine her character. Also, there are some major changes to the relationships between some of the characters. For starters, Vaggie and Lute are sisters, but they're also direct creations of Adam's.

Let me explain.

So in this AU, Adam and Eve became a thing shortly after Lilith ran away to be with Lucifer. And in this AU, they were only able to have Cain and Abel before Eve ate the Forbidden Fruit and ultimately died (I might elaborate on the whole Garden of Eden story in another post). But they'd talked about having daughters and Eve was especially excited to have little girls. Clearly, that never ended up happening. So how does this tie into the story? Because Adam made Vaggie and Lute with the idea of them being the daughters he and Eve were never able to have.

(To take this a step further, this AU started as a Reimagine series where I went over how I would've done it all, so there were also name changes. Vaggie and Lute were two characters who got their names changed; Vaggie's name became Evelyn [originally Evangeline but I thought that too long and didn't roll off the tongue as well] and Lute's became Edith, with Vaggie being named after Eve and Lute being named after the Garden of Eden. And if you want even MORE angst with that idea, Adam sometimes called Vaggie "Eve" as a nickname because of how much she reminded him of her. There's nothing romantic there, I just wanna clarify that in case anyone jumps to conclusions. The changed names aren't important to the post, I just wanted to mention this little background fun fact from before I decided to make it a regular AU)

I may not have diddly squat about Cain and Abel in this aside from the fact that they exist(ed), but BOY do I have a lot to say about these four. First, let me just start with the parallels between Eve and Vaggie in this AU:

Both someone Adam swore to himself that he'd protect at all costs

Both fell from grace and are in Hell

Both of them are on the opposing side (for Eve this'll rely on the post I eventually make about the GoE story, but the gist is that she was completely unwilling; Vaggie saw no other way)

Both of them fell in love with demons

Like... Vaggie reminds Adam of Eve so much that sometimes, it physically hurts. In this AU, Vaggie wasn't left to die in Hell, she got attacked and left behind. Adam thought she was dead, which was part of why he pushed to move up the date of the next Extermination and why Lute is so set on revenge, wants to kill ALL demons, etc. And Adam doesn't care about sexuality- he doesn't care if Vaggie's bi, pan, lesbian, ace, etc. In this AU, he only cares because Charlie's a demon (and the daughter of Lucifer, but that's another thing). The way Adam sees it, he's been losing everyone he loves to temptation and sin. He believes he lost Lilith to Lucifer's seduction (even if he was an angel at the time, he eventually became a demon), he lost Eve to both Lilith & Lucifer and the Apple, he lost Abel to Cain's jealousy and wrath, he lost Cain to his inner darkness, he originally thought he lost Vaggie to the demons, and then he thought he lost her to seduction (even though Charlie didn't do anything like that). And this- this is why Adam's both so close to Lute and why he smiles when he dies in this AU. He died believing that he failed everyone he cared about except Lute, even though- in the back of his mind- he told himself he still failed her. Because he wasn't going to be able to make it back to Heaven and stay with her.

Y'all. I don't know WHAT made me decide to focus so much on these four... but this is what I got. This is what happened. They're devouring my brain.

So the thing is, I seriously need to start drinking some more water. And my family says that I use too many cups (I use like 1-2 cups a day but alright), so I figured I would start filling my coffee cup with water once I was done drinking coffee for the day to trick myself into drinking water. Not because I won't drink water but because I have a habit of grabbing my coffee cup to take a drink even when it's empty

It hasn't been working :(
