This looks very exciting!
Honestly I can’t wait!! It seems like Alton has also been going crazy with the marketing again, and honestly it’s all just so exciting and I can’t wait to see it all unfold. This makes me wish I could go to Alton Towers,, unfortunately I cannot (due to pricing and the fact it’s in England) but I wish everyone who’s going there lots of fun! I can’t wait to see the photos and videos.

i’m not setting my hopes tooooooo high i will try to remain neutral until it opens but i have been watching extra terrorestrial alien encounter videos lately and i do think about how good subterra could be if it originally took a little more after that.. i honestly think it could work at a park like alton towers they just need to commit to it fully
#original subterra does feel very half baked. like they wanted to be alien encounter so bad but didn’t go the full distance..#even though they marketed it like it WAS as scary as alien encounter. at least they’ve learned from doing that (i hope?)#anyway. curse at alton manor was good so i just hope the same love & care is put into subterra this time. i know they can do it 👍 i believe

Alton Towers Fireworks Spectacular 2023 by Theme Park Worldwide
BE ADVISED, THIS VIDEO IS HEAVY ON FLASHING LIGHTS, ESPECIALLY IN THE MIDDLE DURING THE SMILER SECTION. PLEASE TAKE CARE IF YOU ARE IN ANY WAY SENSITIVE TO THAT.
Okay, now that we're past the warning (seriously, in addition to the usual fireworks brightness, there's a lot of messing around with lasers and such), allow me to share with you (courtesy of the TPW video above) the Alton Tower Fireworks, 2023! The theme this year was basically "a day at Alton Towers," and featured sections for Mutiny Bay, Katanga Canyon, the new Curse Of Alton Manor ride --
And a nice big long section right in the middle for The Smiler! An extension of the Festival Of Thrills Smiler Takeover, basically, starting with a few of Felix E. Lated's songs before moving through a whole medley of upbeat and fun music that makes you wanna dance. :D I was very, very pleased with it. If you like fireworks and enjoy a good laser light dance party (and, as per the warning, aren't too bothered by flashing lights), you should really like this. :D
