Diane has gone through the same transformation as Wolf. She knows exactly what he’s feeling. She becomes his mentor, probably to make amends for who she used to be, because I think deep down, she has a little bit of guilt for never having really taken responsibility for what she did as the Crimson Paw. And I think by helping Wolf, she sees an opportunity for redemption. “I’m gonna teach you. I’m gonna show you. You have to let go all of those burdens that you are carrying with you: you’re not a bad guy because everybody says you’re a bad guy. Deep down you are a good guy; you’re a good person. Just accept that. Embrace it. It’s okay. Your pride should not get in the way of this.” And so she’s holding his hand throughout that journey, and I think that’s something that she wished somebody had done for her.

Some foreshadowing hints about Diane's former life
1. She knew far too well about the Bad Guys' state of mind of being angry, denial and self-loathing.
Telling no matter how much cash or valuables they steal, it will never fill their empty hearts. Almost like an experience she went through.
2. During the Golden Dolphin ceremony, she meets and discusses with disguised Wolf about the Bad Guys. Not only she mocked their last heist being messy, but also predicted their next move is going to be 'personal'.
Stealing the Golden Dolphin.
3. Telling Wolf, a fox and a wolf are not so different could have 2 meanings. She had to endure prejudices as a tricky animal, or she used to be a criminal just like him.
(Also her brilliant handskills one step ahead of Wolf)

During the heist mission(this time of being good), the (Good) Bad Guys now introduce Jen as a new member of their group during the search for her parents and many other good deeds including fighting crime with Diane Foxington(as the Crimson Paw) as Wolf titled her as the rookie/coordinator of the gang!
As she appointed the operative heist to a whole new level, it’s her and Wolf’s responsibility to keep them and apprised of their actions in going good.
