I'm curious about where you live. Is it a nice place? Who else lives there? What do you think of them?

I live with my aunt Marnie in a small coastal town named Pelican Town. My goddaughter, Jas, lives with me and Marnie.

Jas is fucking awesome, I genuinely couldn't ask for a better goddaughter. Marnie does her best, and I try to help her when I have the energy.

There's other people in the town too, of course. I work with a 20-something year old guy named Sam, who hangs out with Abigail and Sebastian at the Stardrop Saloon. There's Emily, who claims to be able to "read people's auras" and shit like that. She is, through some combination of charisma and pure stubbornness, one of the only people in this town who's managed to worm her way into my cold, barren heart.
