Hey Britt! I hope you’re having a lovely weekend 🥰😘
Did daddy Andy get some sweet gifts off his family for Father’s Day, or was it more of a spiders in the cupboard kind of day?
Hi! Sorry I missed this one regarding Daddy Andy's Father's Day. I am happy to confirm that there were no spiders in the cupboard that day. Baby Girl decided to be nice and save that for the next weekend.
Instead, she and the kids treated the Barber patriarch to breakfast in bed. He woke up to a hearty helping of eggs, bacon, and chocolate chip pancakes - complete with a side of his wife's famous home fries.
And since he didn't want to eat alone, the entire family ended up bringing their plates in the bedroom where they dined while sitting on the floor. It was very sweet, if not a little chaotic. But Andy would have honestly been hard-pressed to name another time when he felt so loved and cherished.
Once everyone was through eating it was, of course, time for gifts. While Andy always makes a point of telling his Barber brood that he doesn't need or want anything except for them, they often prove to have selective hearing. Something they must've gotten from their mother.
This Father's Day, he received a brand new robe embroidered with his initials, some barbecue tools, an apron, and a gourmet spice rub set. And while he loved all of his gifts, he was especially excited to test out the last three items while using the new wood pellet grill and smoker combo he received on his birthday.
And later that evening, Baby Girl treated him to his favorite dessert: key lime pie. Which he found was best enjoyed in bed after a feverish round of lovemaking.
Thanks for the ask!

A Peek Inside Casa Barber
Take a tumblr-style-tour of the Barber Family Home. Requested by the lovely @stonerlaur4.
Introducing Casa Barber. Reader fell in love with it the moment she saw it.
Next up is the living room, which is mostly used for entertaining guests. They try to keep this room off-limits to the kids. But it doesn't always work.
Here is the the den, which is used for enjoying Saturday morning cartoons and quiet, lazy Sundays.
And now, here is a look at Reader's dream kitchen. She helped design the layout herself. The kids also sometimes use the space to do homework while Mama is busy preparing dinner.
Next is the dining room, which is perfect for family meals.
On the left is Reader's custom reading nook. Andy had this built for her as a surprise since she gave up her home office to make room for the twins' nursery.
And on the right is the kids' reading nook. At this point, they have their own little library.
Here we have a peek at the kids' playroom. Reader and Andy designed it together with their babies in mind.
Next, we have Andy's home office. In addition to legal files and notes, Reader's special punishment journal is also kept in there as well. Most of their discussions atake place in here too. It's virtually soundproof compared to some of the other rooms in the house.
Here is Reader and Andy's bedroom (left), and their gorgeous master bathroom (right).
The bathroom is complete with a vanity, a shower, an oversized jacuzzi-style tub, plus his and her sinks.
Andrew Jacob's and Aurora's (RoRo) nursery, which used to be Reader's home office. Once the twins are a little older, this becomes A.J.'s room.
On the left is A.J.'s "big boy" room. He loves holding important meetings with Daddy in his tent.
And then, on the right, is a peek at Katrina (KitCat) and RoRo's room.
Now, we've got Bianca's (BiBi) room (left). Our sweet BiBi chose the colors herself and loves drawing pictures at her little desk.
And on the right is a small peek at one of the kids' shared bathrooms.
Now, we head to the basement. Once used for entertaining, this main space (left) is now used primarily for Barber Family movie nights.
And on the right, we have Andy's home gym. Sometimes little A.J. works out with him as well - usually on Saturday mornings. He's determined to get those "musicles", just like his Daddy.
And finally, here is a look at Andy and Reader's guestroom. Grandma is the one that usually uses it the most.
---
Thanks for joining me for this impromptu tour. I hope you enjoyed your look at the Barber Family home as I see it!

Double Meaning to "Wait"
My favorite thing about the "Wait" song from Sweeney Todd is in the line, "Ah wait, love wait". For me personally, there's a bit of a double meaning to the second wait that I interpret because of the way Mrs. Lovett sings the line.
First she says, "Ah wait", and for the longest time I thought she was saying "I'll wait", indicating she'll wait for Sweeney to love her the same way she's been waiting for him all these years, but in actuality I believe this line is more to continue pacifying Sweeney.
However, in the second part of that lyric "love, wait" she's still pacifying Sweeney here, but the way she sings it almost sounds like she wants to say, "love, waits". The way she looks at him with sad eyes and soothes Sweeney with her voice. It's almost like she's indicating to herself that she will wait for me. She's waited for him for the past 16 years already, she'll continue to wait for me if she has to.
Of course, this is just my own interpretation but I've always felt there was this double meaning of Mrs. Lovett hopeless love for Sweeney as she continues to wait, and Sweeney's impatient nature to kill the judge.
